She had an overnight stay first, then we dropped her off for 9 days I was apprehensive until I watched her run into their house very excited. She's an old dog but has lots of energy she came home full of beans, they took her on great walks, I know she will miss them, until her next visit. Georgie follows your instructions to the letter, and likes to have as much information about your dog as possible. She sent photos with messages twice a day of a very happy Milly. We have found the perfect second home for Milly, we are delighted and content with the care they provide. Their home is extremely clean and organised, Milly is aloud cuddles on the sofa she sleeps in the bedroom with them. “We cannot recommend Lisa highly enough! We were initially very anxious about leaving Luna in someone else’s care after a previous bad experience at a dog kennel. Luna is a sensitive Vizsla—she can be nervous around other dogs, cautious around men, and isn’t comfortable around children—so finding the right sitter was incredibly important to us. We travelled 70 miles to make this work. From the start, Lisa was brilliant at building trust and forming a relationship with Luna. We were especially impressed that although Luna can be unsure around men, Lisa’s partner took the time to patiently build a bond with her, which made a huge difference. One of the things that really stood out to us was that Lisa only cares for one dog at a time. This gave us real peace of mind, as we had seen other sitters taking multiple dogs at once, which wouldn’t have suited Luna. While we were away, Lisa kept us regularly updated with photos and videos. This meant so much to us, especially as it was the first time we’d been apart from Luna for such a long time. The updates truly reflected Luna’s personality, and it was clear she felt comfortable, relaxed, and happy. Luna was exercised brilliantly, with plenty of great walks—perfect for such a high-energy dog. Lisa also maintained Luna’s usual routine, which really reassured us and helped ensure a smooth transition back home with no disruption. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
