About: I’ve walked and taken care of dogs for the last 15 years, but I’ve always been desperate for my own dog. Me and my partner Nathan finally got Otis, a Greek rescue dog 5 years ago, who we’re absolutely obsessed with. As Otis was very nervous when he came I am very used to anxious or timid dogs. In time he has really grown to be an affectionate, confident boy, who is a great influence around other nervous dogs. I’m currently working a hybrid role, meaning I’m out at work 1-2 days a week with the rest at home. I take Otis out multiple times a day, so lots of opportunities for your dog to get some exercise. On weekends we often go out for long country walks. My dog is very calm and great with other dogs. I currently live in a small house with a decently sized fenced-in garden, but also have plenty of green space on our doorstep for walking. I’d want to make sure your dog felt comfortable so would take time to get to know your dog from you - what they like and don’t like, habits, body language. Safety would be my number one priority - as my dog started out very nervous and flighty I’m very hot on security. Our flat is not large but it’s very safe, with lots of dog toys and beds around.

Sam and Phil was amazing at looking after our Cavapoo Willow we had lots of pictures daily of all the fun they were having Willow was truly spoilt and very well looked after will definitely be booking again Murphy there own dog got on with Willow amazingly thanks to you both so much for looking after Willow so well.
Julie took great care of Betty. The forecast for the weekend was a hot one, and Julie was very proactive contacting us in advance to make sure Betty was comfortable during her stay, taking great care of her to make sure she was entertained and cool. We’ll definitely be using Julie again.
Lara was great, my dog amber can be a bit shy but she seemed to start feeling comfortable with lara straight away. It's the first time i left amber with someone other than family and amber can be quite attached to me but within an hour of leaving her i got a pic of her with a beaming smile which put me at ease. Your dog is in safe hands with Lara.
Hugo has come home after his weeklong stay a happy and relaxed pooch 😊 We received updates and picture’s during his stay, seeing first hand how at home he had made himself ! 😊 Leanne is really reassuring and I felt comfortable and happy that we had picked the right person to look after him , 5 🌟 thank you !
Buddy had THE BEST time with Nicholas and Hannah. He had adventures, big walks, snuggles and we felt totally safe he was with his extended pack with them both while we were away. To top that off we had magical photo updates and excellent communication throughout. Hopefully his land back to his real life isn’t too disappointing after such a lush time. 🤩 He will most definitely stay again. Thank you both!
Our excitable black lab was very happy with Elspeth for a week. We were concerned about how he'd be doing in the heatwave, but she gave us updates and plenty of reassurance that he was being kept happy and cool. He seemed very comfortable and chilled out when we came to collect him!
This was Patsys first stay with Lauren and it won’t be the last. Lauren took wonderful care of her through the extreme heatwave and sent me regular updates and photos. Pats has very specific needs due to her health conditions and Lauren was great administering her meds and following specific feeding needs. Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
