This was our dog's second week-long stay with Yolanda, and it was great to see him run to greet her enthusiastically when we dropped him off - it is so nice to go away knowing our dog is looking forward to his holiday too! He likes being with her because her family are genuinely caring. Yolanda sent us reassuring photos of him going for walks and lying happily on his back. She looked after his slightly dodgy hips and sensitive stomach, which gets upset unless he follows a strict diet - both were fine when he came home. Yolanda is an excellent dog sitter who we will certainly book when we go away again!
Owain was absolutely fantastic with our Staffy, Jasper. From the very beginning, he was really engaged and took the time to ask lots of questions about Jasper and his routine before the stay, which immediately made us feel confident and comfortable leaving him in Owain’s care. While we were away, Owain kept us updated with regular messages and lovely photos of Jasper, which gave us such peace of mind and meant we could properly relax and enjoy our holiday knowing he was happy and well looked after. It was clear that Owain genuinely cared about Jasper and made sure he was settled and comfortable throughout his five-night stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would 100% book Owain again in the future. Highly recommend!
Ellie was wonderful and sent lovely photos and info about Doggo staying with her. Doggo clearly had a good time and was very relaxed and chilled with Ellie, even though they went for walks. She was also absolutely brilliant when my flight was cancelled, and I couldn't get back in time to pick him up. Really great at communication.
Anna and Alex treated Oatie as if she was their own. Lots of lovely updates with pictures, lots of fun walks and even took her out with them for dinner! I could see that Oatie settled in really well. Will absolutely be in touch again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her x

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
