Amirah and her family took great care of Bhuna. Lot of updates and photos on how she was getting is always reassuring to see she's having a good time. Would definitely recommend Amirah for anyone who's dog likes being in a family environment. Would happily book again.

Zack looked after Dylan for 10 days and honestly went above and beyond. He kept in touch with me every single day with updates and photos, which made such a difference — I always felt completely reassured that Dylan was happy and settled. When Dylan came home he was super relaxed, calm, and clearly very comfortable in Zack’s care. It genuinely felt like he’d had a proper home‑away‑from‑home experience. Dylan has quite a few quirks and can be a very strong dog who gets nervous in new situations, but Zack handled everything with real experience and confidence. He understood Dylan’s personality straight away and gave him the patience, structure, and calm environment he needs. It’s not easy to find someone who can manage a dog like Dylan so well, and I’m incredibly grateful. We can’t wait to book with Zack again — highly recommended.

About: Hi, I'm Rebecca and I live in Weston-super-Mare with my partner, Ryan. We are both lifelong animal lovers and have shared our lives with dogs since childhood. Over the years, I have cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities, temperaments and individual needs, giving me the experience and confidence to provide personalised care for every dog that stays with us. I have a particular soft spot for Pugs. My own Pug, called, Pug, passed away a few years ago and he is one of the reasons that I am so passionate about providing the kind of care I would want for my own pet. Because we both work from home, your dog will enjoy plenty of companionship and will never be left alone for more than a few of hours. Every dog is different, so we take the time to understand their individual routine, preferences and personality. Whether they enjoy long walks, playing fetch, joining us for a trip to a dog friendly café, or relaxing on the sofa for cuddles, we will make sure they feel happy, comfortable and at home. We understand that leaving your dog with someone else takes a lot of trust, whether it's for one night or a longer stay. That is why we provide regular updates throughout their visit, so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, settled and enjoying themselves. Every dog in our care is treated with the same kindness, patience and affection we would give our own. Before each stay, we find out about your dog's personality, feeding schedule, exercise requirements, sleeping arrangements and any medical or special care they may need. We are also happy to follow any specific instructions, including dietary requirements, medication, or established routines, to ensure your dog feels as comfortable as possible. To provide the highest level of care and attention, we intentionally keep our boarding numbers low, welcoming a maximum of just two dogs at any one time. This allows us to give each dog plenty of one to one attention in a calm and relaxed environment. We live in a comfortable, secure home just a few minutes' walk from the beach, as well as beautiful woodland walks, parks and gardens. Before every first booking, we arrange a meet and greet. This gives us the opportunity to discuss their individual needs, answer any questions you may have and help your dog become familiar with us before their stay. We look forward to welcoming your dog into our home. If you have any questions at please fee free to send us a a message. Pet care is part of our everyday life. As we both work from home, we are able to provide your dog with plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day. Their routine fits naturally into ours, with regular walks, playtime, feeding and cuddles. We tailor each dog's day to suit their individual needs and preferences, whether that's an energetic walk, a trip to a dog friendly café, or relaxing with us at home. Because we only board a maximum of two dogs at a time, we are able to give each one the time, care and individual attention they need. Your dog's safety and comfort are our highest priorities. We provide a calm, clean and secure home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We only board a maximum of two dogs at any one time, allowing us to give each dog plenty of individual attention and ensuring a relaxed atmosphere. Before every first stay, we arrange a meet and greet so that we can discuss their routine and make sure we are the right fit. We follow each dog's usual schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, sleeping arrangements, medication and any special requirements. As we both work from home, dogs are rarely left alone and receive constant companionship and supervision. Our home is safe and secure with easy access to nearby beaches, parks, gardens and woodland walks for enjoyable exercise and enrichment. We know how important your dog is to you, so we'll keep you updated with regular photos and messages, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away.

Gracie was super helpful and flexible with a short notice emergency booking for my dogs, even going so far as to help find care for them when she was already prebooked. She and her partner looked after them so lovingly and kept me updated throughout. They also managed the medication without difficulty. The dogs showed no sign of their normal anxiety at being left and are happily home again now having had a lovely holiday with their new friends. I am super grateful

Tracey and Simon looked after our boy Buddy for a few days while we were away. It was a last minute booking as we'd been let down by family, so we were a little nervous as first time Rover users. Tracey and Simon put us at ease immediately. They have a real passion for dogs and were super understanding of Buddy's character and background. They made sure he was safe and loved the whole time he was there. We had daily videos and photos which we loved! Most importantly, Buddy settled in like he was part of their family and absolutely loved staying with them. We won't look anywhere else now for Buddy's holidays! We've found his people and trust them 100% with our boy. Thank you Tracey and family for loving our boy and taking such great care of him.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and routine. Since welcoming my rescue dog, Bonnie, into my life in 2022, I’ve gained valuable experience with reactive and anxious dogs, as well as strong lead pullers. I’ve also been looking after dogs for friends and family since my early teenage years, and since starting on Rover in September 2025, I’ve cared for a variety of dogs with different personalities and needs. This has made me confident with a wide range of temperaments, from energetic and playful, to nervous or cautious dogs who need a calmer approach. What sets me apart is the care and attention I give to every dog as an individual. I’m patient, reliable, and confident reading dog body language, which helps me adapt to their needs and make them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, reassurance, or lots of cuddles, I’ll make sure they’re happy, well cared for, and sticking to their usual routine while keeping you updated along the way. I work full-time but mostly from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility to fit pet care into my routine. I’m usually in the office just one day a week (typically a Wednesday), so I’m available anytime the remaining weekdays with the flexibility of my working hours at home. Weekends are also fairly flexible for me, and I’ll always keep my schedule up to date if anything changes. Whatever the ask, I’ll make sure your pet’s needs fit smoothly into my day so they get reliable care and attention. Please note, drop-in visits and dog walks within 7 miles of my home (Sandford, BS25) are included in my standard rates. For locations beyond 7 miles, a 50p per mile travel fee applies to the additional distance to cover my fuel which I will manually add to your booking request. For overnight house sitting requests, I currently can only accommodate 1 night sitting at a time I’m afraid. When caring for pets, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In a pet parent’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routines closely, from feeding times to walks and play, so pets feel secure and settled. I keep doors and gates safely closed, pay attention to any special needs like reactivity, and always respect the home as if it were my own. I also believe trust is built through communication, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. In my own home, I have my rescue dog Bonnie, who is friendly and playful once introduced properly but can show an excitable-anxious reactivity on first meetings with other dogs. Rest assured, Bonnie has never shown any aggression or biting behaviour towards another animals. Because of this, any dogs staying with us would need an introduction beforehand to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. Once settled, Bonnie loves to play and share her space. However, I’m not able to offer care for cats in my own home, as Bonnie isn’t suited to living with them. My goal is always to create a safe, calm, and happy environment where pets feel at ease, whether I’m visiting them in their own home or welcoming them into mine.

Natalie takes her dog caring duties very seriously. She made the effort to come and meet and greet our pair of dogs in the park where we usually walk them so they were in a regalar environment for them. The dogs took an instant like to her, and she to them, so we then settled the pair of hounds would spend a night with them... The dogs were very well looked after. I am looking forward to being able to count on Natalie again.

About: I’m not currently able to have a dog of my own full-time, so spending time with other people’s dogs is the next best thing! I’m completely dog obsessed and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. My family’s much-loved chocolate Cockapoo, Ned, is 7 years old and has been a huge part of our lives since he was a puppy. Looking after him has given me experience with daily walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and making sure he feels happy and comfortable. I work from home for most of the week, so your dog will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day. I also have a spacious three-bedroom home with a large, secure enclosed garden where your dog can safely play, explore, and relax. I’d be more than happy to arrange a meet and greet before any booking, so you and your dog can get to know me and make sure I’m the right fit. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can see what your dog has been up to and have complete peace of mind while you’re away. If you have any questions or specific requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! I currently work from home 3 days per week and I have flexibility with the 2 office days so we can work together on how this could look, I also take an hour lunch where I can take your dog for a walk in the local area which is surrounded by lovely fields and plenty of woodland for your dog to explore I will follow whichever instructions you supply me in order to care for your dog in line with its current routine so you don’t have to worry!

No doubt we should want to use Sarah's services again!

FAQs for Dog Boarding - North Somerset

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in North Somerset on Rover is £34.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,547 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across North Somerset. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
