About: I'm passionate about many animals, and I have always wanted a dog of my own, but I am still waiting for the right moment to come. In the meantime, whenever the situation presents, I have cared and looked after other people's pet friends. I am reliable, friendly and gentle and will look after your pet as if it was my own. I'm currently working from home full-time and I have the flexibility to adjust my work schedule when possible. I am available both during the week and weekend. I have also a fenced garden that is very safe for your dog(s), in case needed. It is a small but rather inviting garden.

About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats all my life. My 13 year old cat Izzie passed away last year and I haven’t been in a position to get another pet just yet. Please let me spend quality time with your babies as I am missing having a furry friend around. I live with my partner on a third floor flat. Although we have no garden, we are both very active and enjoy spending time outdoors. Our flat is calm, clean and a safe space for pets to feel comfortable. We would welcome pets on the furniture and the bed. We have cared for friend’s dogs and cats in our flat for several years. I work for the NHS Monday - Friday but work from home every Friday, with flexibility to do so some other days too. About: I have always loved dogs and Alfie has been a part of my family home for 10 years. I now live with my boyfriend and we would both love dogs and want our own one day. I would love the opportunity to care for a variety of personalities and most importantly provide a comfortable and fun environment! My main availability is on the weekends. About: My husband and I currently have an 11 year old cockerchon who is friendly with other dogs and with humans. We’ve previously had a bichon for 10 years prior to that. My husband and I are both retired and so have lots of time for dog walks. We have fields at the end of our cul-de-sac for local walks. We also regularly go to beaches and other parks around Cardiff. About: I've been looking after friends' and family's dogs for a little while now, and I'm now ready to do it on a daily basis! I absolutely adore dogs, so you can trust that I will give your floof plenty of love and attention. I also love being outdoors, so you can be reassured that your dog will have plenty of time out and about (and maybe a cheeky coffee shop stop too!). Myself and my kids live in central Penarth, perfectly located for lots of different parks/beach/walks. My kids are home-educated, so I'm always present to give your dog all of the care, cuddles and attention they need, whether at home or out and about! I live in a smallish terraced house, so I'm only accepting one dog per day (or 2, if from the same household) - which means that your floof will have all the attention and care just for them. I will always guarantee two walks per day, unless otherwise requested. My garden is completely fenced, so there's no risk of your dog escaping! Your dog will be free to go in the garden anytime throughout the day, no matter the season. I also love to send the owner a daily picture/s for extra reassurance!

Phoebe and her family were superb! Really reassuring and accommodating of my last minute request. Phoebe was really thorough with checks which was really reassuring when it came to leaving Barney with somebody that I hadn't met before. Her set up is beautifully set up for looking after dogs, she has a cute little sleeping area and loads of dog toys which put Barney at ease straight away. I'm super grateful and would highly recommend!
Emily was great with our dog Sandy! Sandy stayed with Emily for a week whilst we were away. Emily sent us updates of Sandy and photos. Emily listened to everything we told her about Sandy and took her on lovely beach walks. Sandy came home happy and with a waggy tail which she didn’t when we used kennels in the past. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
