About: I’ve had dogs in my life since my earliest memory and gained a wealth of experience and knowledge along the way. I’ve been training my own dogs and other peoples dogs for over 25 years. Your dogs would be kept in a relaxed and caring environment, and will receive the same love and attention as my own dogs . I’m currently home all day, so I’ll have plenty of time to give your dogs my full love and attention. I’m available to board dogs 7 days a week for short breaks or extended holidays, if booked in advance. I have a fenced garden to keep your dogs safe, and also have my own two dogs to keep your dogs company and have someone to play with. Dogs can also be crated if needed. I can also make sure your dogs have daily walks if applicable in a lovely environment.

I currently have a 12-week-old puppy at home, so I’m very comfortable with puppy care, routines, and positive reinforcement. I’ve regularly cared for a Border Collie, Golden Retriever, and Yorkie, giving me experience with both high-energy and smaller breeds. I also volunteer as a dog walker at Cardiff Dogs Home, where I’ve built confidence handling dogs with different temperaments and ensuring they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I’m available for overnight stays from Friday night through to Monday evening, as well as Wednesday nights, with flexible Thursday pick-ups if full-day care is needed. Because I work from home on Mondays and Thursdays (and my partner works from home on Wednesdays), dogs are rarely left alone and get plenty of company throughout the day. I can also offer daytime care on these days, with lots of walks, training, playtime, and cuddles built into my breaks. All tailored to how your dog is feeling and what they enjoy most. Dogs in my care are treated as part of the household and are always supervised in a calm, safe environment. I have a fully fenced garden for secure outdoor time, and dogs are never left unattended outside. Inside the home, dogs stay with me in the living room or home office so they’re always close by and included. I provide comfortable dog beds for smaller dogs, and larger dogs are equally welcome and settle on their own cosy blankets. We’re Shan & Jam we’re a 29 year old couple & we’re about to be your dog’s new best friends!👋🏻 We’re on a mission to soak up all the doggy cuddles we can this year, not just because we’re obsessed with dog’s (which we are) but because we’re warming up for PAWrenthood 🐾 So, instead of impulse buying a terrier on a random Tuesday (which we absolutely were close to doing) we’re channeling our love into looking after other people’s furbabies for now!👀 Jam has had experience in owning a dog full time, for 4 years as she took on her dad’s Staffordshire bull terrier, Max back in 2016 until he sadly passed in 2020. Therefore she now has history with this breed & their loving but sometimes crazy nature🤪 Shan has had experience, being a co-owner to Coco, a Shihtzu cross for 8 years, who was a yappy madam🤭 We both have cared for other dogs such as Buddy the Yorkie, who we fostered for a year🥹 Dolly the frenchie who we rehomed, who was Shan’s Grancha’s beloved dog🥺 And, we’ve had the pleasure of spending time with our family & friends dog’s over the years, walking & watching them. And our regular dog we sit, Daisy the 14 year old Chihuahua who has dementia🐶 Therefore combined, we have a fair amount of mixed experience with dogs☺️ IMPORTANT: Please DON’T book us until, we confirm the booking AFTER we’ve met your dog in person. Thankyou!😌 We have a lot of time on our hands, due to not having children & working from home, which makes us available most days, dates & times to suit your needs. But please message us to enquire 📅 We will be caring for your dogs in a cozy yet spacious flat with our own front door (not a shared block) & a private, fenced off front garden great for zoomies & bathroom breaks. We’ve even added extra security with chicken wire for those extra small doggies👀 While it’s not Buckingham Palace, it’s clean, comfy & 100% dog-approved! ✅ If stairs are tricky for your pup, that’s no problem they’ll get the full VIP treatment (yes, we do offer a personal carrying service)👩🏻✈️

Whether your dog needs a fun walk, playtime, or quiet company, l keep things safe, relaxed, and tailored to them. Moreover, I have been attending puppy training classes and so I am also confident looking after young puppies. My partner James sometimes helps with walks, but I'm your main sitter and point of contact. I work from home so I am available to care for your pet most of the time. I usually go for a walk with my 4 month puppy in the morning as we have a great choice of parks nearby, if it’s a really hot day I take her for walks around 6-7am and then occupy her at home with some enrichment activities, training and playtime in the garden. I prepare food for my puppy at the same time as mine so we eat together and I can also keep an eye out on her. At the moment we go for 2 walks a day, one in the morning and another in the evening. I have a fenced garden and one very friendly puppy, she loves playing with other dogs and can adapt to their play style. I also have a foldable crate/playpen which I only need to use sometimes now. I’ve also used it as a tool with my neighbours dog who is less playful to give her some space when she needs it.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
