About: I have always loved dogs and Alfie has been a part of my family home for 10 years. I now live with my boyfriend and we would both love dogs and want our own one day. I would love the opportunity to care for a variety of personalities and most importantly provide a comfortable and fun environment! My main availability is on the weekends. If I am dog sitting I would be with them at all times. I would be happy to have your dog for a few hours on weekdays. I live with my boyfriend in a nice cosy house. We have a garden that the dog can access and we are very close to the taff train for lengthy walks

About: I've been looking after friends' and family's dogs for a little while now, and I'm now ready to do it on a daily basis! I absolutely adore dogs, so you can trust that I will give your floof plenty of love and attention. I also love being outdoors, so you can be reassured that your dog will have plenty of time out and about (and maybe a cheeky coffee shop stop too!). Myself and my kids live in central Penarth, perfectly located for lots of different parks/beach/walks. My kids are home-educated, so I'm always present to give your dog all of the care, cuddles and attention they need, whether at home or out and about! I live in a smallish terraced house, so I'm only accepting one dog per day (or 2, if from the same household) - which means that your floof will have all the attention and care just for them. I will always guarantee two walks per day, unless otherwise requested. My garden is completely fenced, so there's no risk of your dog escaping! Your dog will be free to go in the garden anytime throughout the day, no matter the season. I also love to send the owner a daily picture/s for extra reassurance!

Jackson was super helpful when we made initial contact and the fact that both our dogs took to him instantly, despite one being extremely anxious, placed us completely at ease. Personally Khalid was a delight to deal with, I would highly recommend to anyone looking to utilise his services. Sam was brilliant from start to finish and made every effort to make Cooper feel comfortable and happy during his stay. We had regular updates and photos during the entire visit and Cooper seems to have really enjoyed every minute as Sam has catered for his extra requirements and character. Lauryn took fantastic care of our dog Gruff whilst we were away. He had an endless supply of cuddles and adventures and had to be disappointed to be coming home! Clover is such a lovely dog and made the perfect doggy companion for him. We unfortunately had a cancelled flight on the way back and Lauryn couldn’t have been more helpful which we appreciated so much. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after Gruff and we hope he will be welcome again soon!
Ellena was great. She was very friendly with us and was lovely with our dog Faith. She kept us informed of what Faith was up to with updates and photos/videos. Such a great person for looking after our much loved dog. We needed to change plans slightly and Ellena was really flexible. Overall we highly recommend Ellena. Thank you Ellena.
All I can say is AMAZING, throughout the holiday I had daily updates and daily pictures and videos putting my mind at ease, I would highly recommend using Diane if you want your pet to be in a safe and reliable person , I will be using her services again when I next have a trip away
We met with Brianna a couple of times before our big pup of 7 months ‘Bridget’ stayed overnight for 5 nights, which I think helped her settle, Brianna sent us photos of her on a daily basis and you could see that Bridget was really happy so that immediately helped me feel better about leaving her whilst we were off on our travels. Would definitely recommend Brianna as she’s been very kind and caring with our big pup! Look forward to booking her again soon x

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
