“We had to go somewhere without Toby at short notice and both our regular sitters were booked up. So I turned to Rover and found Helen. How lucky were we that she was free. It had been quite a while since I’d had to go through the process of meeting a new sitter and while Toby is very chilled about where he goes and with whom, I always get anxious about leaving him somewhere new. However when I drove up to Helen’s beautiful and calm home my mind was put at rest. Helen is lovely and obviously adores dogs. She had thought of everything needed in the very hot weather, there was a fan, a paddling pool and walks only when it was safe. Her husband and other family members are also delightful and dog focused. She sent us lots of photos of Toby having a great time with another dog who was also staying. I was relaxed the whole time I was away. I recommend Helen 100% and will definitely ask to leave Toby there again.”

Some of the photos she captured of Betty on her adventures with Adell are now printed and up in the house 😍 Betty soon had another snuggle buddy after long walks and was always happy in the photos Adell sent us! About: I have always loved dogs and Alfie has been a part of my family home for 10 years. I now live with my boyfriend and we would both love dogs and want our own one day. I would love the opportunity to care for a variety of personalities and most importantly provide a comfortable and fun environment! My main availability is on the weekends. About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats all my life. My 13 year old cat Izzie passed away last year and I haven’t been in a position to get another pet just yet. Please let me spend quality time with your babies as I am missing having a furry friend around. I live with my partner on a third floor flat. Although we have no garden, we are both very active and enjoy spending time outdoors. Our flat is calm, clean and a safe space for pets to feel comfortable. About: Cats are a bit of an obsession of mine, to be fair... I grew up in a very cat-heavy household - 10 cats! I love figuring out their little personalities, reading their mood and earning their trust (they’re the ones choosing us, not the other way around!). Even the pickiest little furballs often seem to warm to me. I grew up with cats and have looked after friends’ pets too, so I’m very happy to feed, play, give medication or lose several hours of my life to cat cuddles.

“Jack looked after my little pup for the first time. Communication was great from before drop off to pick up. From the moment we walked in it was such a friendly vibe. Zuri felt right at home and we instantly felt comfortable that he’d be happy. He was excited going in and after leaving them the photos we got from Jack throughout the day showed how much fun he had with Jack and his gorgeous two doggy friends, Myrtle and Dex, to play with. The updates were great and communicated well throughout, assuring us Zuri was in the best possible care. Looking after a pup is no easy feat, but Jack got stuck in from the start and did tremendously well meeting Zuri for the first time. He was very warm and Zuri found him approachable right away, he was so settled coming home and you could tell he had a fun packed day. Thank you so much Jack! She was reliable, trustworthy and communicated well throughout the day I was away. She looked after my house and dog well. One thing her bio did not state is that she has mobility difficulties and at one point fell over when my dog was excited and wanted to play with another dog. I suggest she is best used for people with older and small dogs, when the otherwise good care she provides does not result in accidents when out walking.”

In the afternoon we will finish our walk back to the flat and either play with the ample amount of toys in our toy bucket or take downtime to rest before dinner. Next is dinner time with another potty break before closing out the evening with snuggles on the couch! Water will always be provided in their dish unless requested otherwise. Pets are rarely ever left alone in my home and if needed I would connect with you first on this. All doors to rooms and bathrooms are shut along with the balcony doors to provide the safest environment. Water is always in their dish unless requested otherwise. Owner instructions will always be followed! My flat is very pet friendly with all wood floors in case of potty accidents and we do allow dogs on the couch for a comfortable stay. Pets are welcomed in and we have a toy bucket as we do encourage play in the flat as well! There is plenty of space for your dog to feel safe and comfortable here.

We share our space with Leo, our incredibly chill and well-behaved resident dog who spends most of his day napping. About: I’m a massive dog / animal lover. In terms of sitting experience, I have looked after the dogs of friends and family a lot, both in their homes and at mine. I’ve been trusted with dogs of all ages and sizes. Other animal experiences include working with / looking after horses since I was a teen (so well over 5 years of experience with animals.) I work from home, and can pretty much work anywhere so I can bring my laptop to you, as long as you have wifi! I work 8.30-5, but can be very flexible and will be able to spend time away from my laptop to have a play, a cuddle or a walk with your dog. I’m not tied to it all day. If your pet comes to me, I can do the same. I might need to pop out in the evenings for food shopping etc. At the weekends, I can take them out on adventures (walks) around by me or your home. We can also chill and watch TV or do whatever your dog needs to do! I can be very flexible to make sure your dog is happy. I can be very flexible in terms of the care I can offer - I can stay at your home, or your pet can come to me! I have nice public walkways and open spaces near me down in Cardiff Bay, or can go for a drive to other nearby fields. I can even meet up with other friends who also have dogs, and can offer a little socialisation if your dog is OK with other dogs. I do live in a flat, so I don’t have a garden, but I can take your dog out as often as they need! It gives me an excellent excuse to get out of the flat during the day. About: I'm a clean, tidy, considerate person who has taken care of pets in other people's homes ever since I was little. Dogs are very good for my mental health and I really enjoy being in the company of cats too. My ex-boyfriends have always had dogs which I have enjoyed looking after when we’ve been together (and been very sad to leave!). My cat Crazy Bob sadly passed away when I was 19, and my current landlord doesn’t allow pets - plus every housemate I’ve had since graduating uni is allergic to cats - so I can’t have them in my own home. I am available after 8pm on Thursdays and from Friday - Sunday I am available all day. I like to care for pets by following their established routine. Dogs for example, whether that’s taking regular short - long walks, playtime, time off lead, having the occasional treat, staying on the lead, socialising with other dogs or watching TV at home, having a healthy amount of meals and having plenty of cuddles!

About: I've had animals all my life. My folks always had dogs when growing up from Great Danes to Dalmatians. They also had pedigree Persians cats, which they bred. So I've helped our cats with their deliveries. Since i lived in my own house. I had 2 cats who lived until they were 18 &1/2, Charlie & 19 &1/2 Chewy, my boys were 6 weeks old when we got them. I'm having a break from getting anymore pets for now. I have had my friends dog Luna come to stay for a night or a few days. Luna is a samoyed breed, like a husky but wider. She's all white & built like a tank 😊 She's really excited for everything & everything & loves spending time at my house. I have a large garden with grass & I have a house, with a front concrete drive. I live around the corner from Jubilee Park, which is great to let dogs off the lead when empty. I leave my back door open so animals can come & go into the garden. Luna loves it she currently lives in a flat & doesn't have a garden. When she comes to mine she has more space & free run of my garden. So that's why I'm calling my service a doggie spa day, they will have a garden, walks, play, space, attention, as well as the normal food & water....edit I moved to a ground-floor flat with a patio garden in October 2025. You are welcome to visit my flat to view or I can send a video of the garden. Ask any questions, if you & your dog are happy then we'll get along great, thanks Diane 😊 As I'm at home daily except Friday and Saturday. I'll leave my back door open to my garden. My garden has grass and plants around the borders. Your pet can come and go as they want. Once I've done some work, I'll take a break and take your dog out to Jubilee park, which is around the corner. We'll have an hour or so depending on the weather in the park. Then we'll come back the slow way via capital retail park and maybe get a hot chocolate from Costa. Then we'll come home and I'll open the back door to my garden again. Then I'll do more work, while your dog shouts at the cats next-door 🤣 When we go out to the park we'll play and if no other animals I'll let your dog off the lead. We'll play catch & depending on the size of your dog will depend on how long we stay out. My friends dog Luna is a samoyed, a Siberian working dog, she's always happy & excitable. You can take her out for hours & she never tires but she loves my garden & shouting at the cats next-door I'll care for your pets like my own. My cats lived until they were 18 &1/2 Charlie & 19 &1/2 Chewy. I had them since they were 6 weeks old. It's heartbreaking to lose them. I would treat your animals like my own with love, kindness& a bit of strictness. I trained my cats that when they had fights that got rougher I would clap my hands loudly & they'd separate & both run off together 🤣. If you have a way to treat or disapline them I will do that. I'm there to make sure your animals are safe, happy & well loved while you are away. I'll send you video & photo updates daily if you want. I know what it's like to go away & leave your pets with someone. I want to help you have a good relaxing holiday and your animals to be happy & carefree while you're gone. When my friend comes to pick up Luna, she was in 2 minds whether to go 🤣. Her owner opened the back door to the car & called her but she stayed next to me 😊 I told her I'd see her soon & go, then she did. I'm just happy she enjoyed herself with me. About: I lived with dogs (labs and spaniels) for most of my childhood and was always taught how to train them, how to walk them, and the other essentials of pet care. I currently work from home and have a flexible work pattern so can regularly take pups for toilet breaks/walks. I regularly go on long walks when I can. All I need now is a dog to take with me!
