About: I’ve grown up in a family that has always had dogs and cats, so animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve regularly looked after dogs for family and friends and absolutely love having their company around the home. Over the years, I’ve had experience looking after dogs of all different ages, personalities and needs. I’ve cared for senior dogs and have experience giving medication, including looking after a dog with severe allergies who needed oral medication. I’ve also looked after an anxious Dachshund who needed a little extra patience and reassurance, especially when out on walks. I really enjoy getting to know a dog’s individual personality and making sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable in my care. Our family Cocker Spaniel has also taught me a lot about caring for dogs with more complex needs. He’s had quite a challenging start to life, including a blood transfusion and hip replacement at just three years old, and he now has arthritis. Because of this, I’m very aware of the importance of keeping him calm, managing his activity and making sure he doesn’t get too excited and accidentally injure himself. He also has some resource-guarding behaviours, partly due to his medication and the fact that his food needs to be carefully managed. This has taught me to be patient, stay calm and understand the reasons behind a dog’s behaviour, while also setting kind but clear boundaries. For me, looking after a dog is about much more than just feeding them and taking them for walks. I want them to feel comfortable, cared for and at home while they’re with me. I understand that every dog is different, and I’m more than happy to give them the patience, attention and extra care they need. Most importantly, I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own. 🐾 As I work from home, I’m around throughout the day to give dogs regular attention, toilet breaks, playtime and companionship. I always follow each dog’s usual routine, feeding instructions and individual needs, and I make sure they are supervised and cared for throughout their stay. I’ll also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can have peace of mind while they’re away. Live a short walk away from Roath lake and Maindy Velodrome to go for lovely walks. About: I’ve had a deep bond with dogs since childhood. I grew up with a German Shepherd who was part of our family for 12 wonderful years. I always enjoyed our walks, playtime, and cuddles she truly shaped my love and understanding of dogs. After she passed, I continued caring for dogs by helping my cousin at her dog hotel, where I regularly walked and cared for her five Huskies and other boarding dogs. She adapted her apartment specifically for the time she would be looking after our Filla, so that she would feel very comfortable and not get stressed. About: We look after either dogs or cats. We live in the city centre and both work from home. There is a gated area at the back of the apartment for your pup’s toilet breaks as required, but we live 5 minutes away from Bute Park and we love going for long walks. We have both grown up around dogs, from gentle giant dobermans to mini Yorkshire terriers. As we both work from home we can both take care of pets twenty four seven, we will take them for walks and so they will never be left at home alone. We are very flexible and can accommodate your pet’s needs. The flat is spacious and there is room for a crate/bed if required. We will make sure to feed them as per their regular schedule.

I suggest she is best used for people with older and small dogs, when the otherwise good care she provides does not result in accidents when out walking.”

About: My wife, Nour, lived with dogs most of her life. Her first dog Sweetie, she had when she was 6 years old, then Queen at the age of 11. She learned how to take care of them from a young age with the support of her parents. At the age of 23, my wife got our current dog, Leo. I currently work from home and have a flexible work pattern so can regularly take pups for toilet breaks/walks. I regularly go on long walks when I can. All I need now is a dog to take with me! About: I’ve grown up in a family that has always had dogs and cats, so animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve regularly looked after dogs for family and friends and absolutely love having their company around the home. Over the years, I’ve had experience looking after dogs of all different ages, personalities and needs. I’ve cared for senior dogs and have experience giving medication, including looking after a dog with severe allergies who needed oral medication. I’ve also looked after an anxious Dachshund who needed a little extra patience and reassurance, especially when out on walks. I really enjoy getting to know a dog’s individual personality and making sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable in my care. Our family Cocker Spaniel has also taught me a lot about caring for dogs with more complex needs. He’s had quite a challenging start to life, including a blood transfusion and hip replacement at just three years old, and he now has arthritis. Because of this, I’m very aware of the importance of keeping him calm, managing his activity and making sure he doesn’t get too excited and accidentally injure himself. He also has some resource-guarding behaviours, partly due to his medication and the fact that his food needs to be carefully managed. This has taught me to be patient, stay calm and understand the reasons behind a dog’s behaviour, while also setting kind but clear boundaries. For me, looking after a dog is about much more than just feeding them and taking them for walks. I want them to feel comfortable, cared for and at home while they’re with me. I understand that every dog is different, and I’m more than happy to give them the patience, attention and extra care they need. Most importantly, I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own. 🐾 As I work from home, I’m around throughout the day to give dogs regular attention, toilet breaks, playtime and companionship. I always follow each dog’s usual routine, feeding instructions and individual needs, and I make sure they are supervised and cared for throughout their stay. About: I've had animals all my life. My folks always had dogs when growing up from Great Danes to Dalmatians. They also had pedigree Persians cats, which they bred. So I've helped our cats with their deliveries. Since i lived in my own house. I had 2 cats who lived until they were 18 &1/2, Charlie & 19 &1/2 Chewy, my boys were 6 weeks old when we got them. I leave my back door open so animals can come & go into the garden. Luna loves it she currently lives in a flat & doesn't have a garden. When she comes to mine she had more space & free run of my garden. So that's why I'm calling my service a doggie spa day, they will have a garden, walks, play, space, attention, as well as the normal food & water....edit I moved to a ground-floor flat with a patio garden in October 2025. You can take her out for hours & she never tires but she loves my garden & shouting at the cats next-door I'll care for your pets like my own. My cats lived until they were 18 &1/2 Charlie & 19 &1/2 Chewy. I had them since they were 6 weeks old. It's heartbreaking to lose them. I would treat your animals like my own with love, kindness& a bit of strictness. I trained my cats that when they had fights that got rougher I would clap my hands loudly & they'd separate & both run off together 🤣. If you have a way to treat or disapline them I will do that. I'm there to make sure your animals are safe, happy & well loved while you are away. I'll send you video & photo updates daily if you want. I know what it's like to go away & leave your pets with someone. I want to help you have a good relaxing holiday and your animals to be happy & carefree while you're gone. When my friend comes to pick up Luna, she was in 2 minds whether to go 🤣. Her owner opened the back door to the car & called her but she stayed next to me 😊 I told her I'd see her soon & go, then she did. I'm just happy she enjoyed herself with me. About: I have grown up with two Labrador girls (one is age 7 and one is 10), helping to train them when they were puppies, feed them, give the older one her medication, and walk them both daily. Having grown up in a leafy village, I love to be outdoors, and enjoy walking or running in the Cardiff parks while at university. I would absolutely love to take a dog with me, and can adjust the walk length/level of activity (e.g playing fetch, walking vs running) accordingly. I live with four other dog lovers, and any dog would receive a very warm welcome to the house! We have informally dog sat for friends (shown in photos of us in our kitchen), which has worked really well, and it was lovely to give them lots of love and attention! I am currently on placement from Monday-Thursday, but am free on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for dog walking. Dog sitting availability will vary depending on the week. A typical day would include some walks/runs in the park (1-3 per day), some time at home (working, cooking, relaxing), and maybe a trip to a cafe/pub (all flexible). We sometimes go for small day trips as a house, e.g. Barry, Penarth, Brecon Beacons hikes, Dunraven Bay. I live a 10 minute walk from a park which has lovely paths and fields for walks/runs. (The connected fields have lots of space, great for playing and running off the lead). It is a five person house (including me) where we are all dog lovers. It has a cosy living room with a sofa, a kitchen, dining room and a small fenced garden (little patio, and shrubbery/grassy area) where dogs would have easy, frequent access in and out. My goal is for every dog in my care to feel safe, happy and loved while they’re with me. I currently work as a home care worker, but I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to spend with pets. At the moment, I’m generally available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, with some extra availability depending on my rota. From October, I’ll be working mostly in the evenings from 3pm onwards, so I’ll have my mornings and daytime free for walks, visits and pet sitting. I’m hoping to eventually make pet sitting my full-time job. For now, I’m keeping my work in home care while I build up my pet-sitting experience and meet more lovely pets and their owners. Once I have enough regular bookings, my goal is to dedicate myself to pet sitting full-time. I genuinely love spending time with animals and would much rather spend my day going for walks, playing and giving pets lots of attention! I’m reliable, caring and happy to adapt to each pet’s individual routine and needs. My home is a safe, comfortable and spacious place where pets can feel relaxed and at home. I have a fully enclosed garden, so dogs can enjoy some outdoor time safely, as well as plenty of space inside the house to rest and settle in. I also have a very friendly and independent cat who is used to sharing her space with other animals. She spends a lot of time outdoors and likes having her own little routine, so she is not constantly around other pets. She lived happily alongside my dog for three years, so I’m used to helping animals get comfortable with each other and respecting their individual boundaries. Every pet is different, so I always take the time to understand their personality, routine and needs. Whether they are energetic and playful, shy and nervous, or simply prefer their own space, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for. When looking after a pet in their own home, I’m happy to follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including their feeding times, walks, playtime and any other instructions from their owner. My priority is always that pets feel safe, loved and relaxed while their owners are away.
