“Exceptional Cat Sitter Lisa took care of my rescue cats while I was away, and I cannot rate her services highly enough. My cats are usually very nervous, and I often worry when I’m not around, but Lisa was exceptional. She went the extra mile, taking the time to sit with them and win their trust. Her caring and gentle nature truly stood out, and it was clear she genuinely loves animals. Lisa was also incredibly reliable, which gave me great peace of mind. I’ll be using her services every time she’s available. Highly recommended!”

“Emily is a great sitter! She dropped in on my cat Leo over the Christmas period. She was attentive with sending photos and updates and did lots of playing with Leo. Will definitely book Emily again!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since childhood. I had cats all my life at home and have taken care of friends and families dogs over the last five years. I work full time but am able to work flexibly from home every day apart from Thursdays. Monday and Thursday evenings I have a sports club 1900-2200 so would have to be out during those times. I am really happy to adapt my care to the individual needs of each animal. I love walking and also snuggling up at home. I am happy putting dogs in crates if needed and keeping an eye on them outside where not fully secure.

“Martha is so lovely, Meg instantly took to her as she obviously adores dogs. Could not have asked for anyone better and we had total confidence in her. Thank you so much Martha we will definitely use you again if we come to Cardiff.”

About: I have a deep love for animals and years of experience caring for pets of friends and family. I’m reliable, attentive, and ready to provide fun walks and quality drop-in visits. I will ensure your furry friend is safe, happy, and well looked after while you are away! I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time to visit your pets or take your dogs for long, energetic walks. I am highly punctual and can easily adapt to your preferred routine, whether you need a morning stroll or an afternoon check-in. Safety is my top priority. During drop-in visits, I strictly follow all owner instructions regarding feeding and home security. When walking dogs, I always keep them securely on a leash, avoid unsafe areas, and stay fully focused on their well-being at all times.

“Jake was fabulous. He went above and beyond to care for our cat, Luna over the holiday period. If you are looking for an attentive cat sitter with experience, Jake is your best option! Thank you so much again. 🥰”

“Kerri did an excellent job of looking after Jojo and Doris, providing regular updates abd pictures of their day, I could see how happy they were which made me feel reassured. Already booked Kerri for my next absence away from home, which I know my furbabies will be happy to see her again.”

“Rhiannon was great, I came back to Lebby having no been fed and watered and everything clean. She also played with Lebby which is essential while I am away and unable to give her that stimulation.”

“I love having Christy come and look after Danru. I love how she sends photos and I can see her. It means a lot. She is so good as she also feeds my other animals, birds outside and the hedgehogs that come into the garden. Danru is a very fussy cat and doesn’t like anyone touching her apart from me but Christy is now one of her favourites ”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have two of my own back home: a Samoyed and a Poodle, which I miss very much🥺, And I’m used to different personalities, ages, and needs. They’re completely different, which has taught me how to understand each dog individually. I’ve trained my own dogs, including crate training, potty training, and basic commands like sit, stay, spin, paw and recall, so I’m confident handling behaviour in a calm and consistent way. I also enjoy making dog friendly treats and I’m very aware of what’s safe and unsafe for dogs. I’m a graduating student staying in Cardiff over the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give dogs plenty of time, attention, and love. I have an easy access to a park and a garden, which is ideal for walks and outdoor time. I acquire an enhanced DBS check for added reassurance. I’m happy to help with anything from walks and day care to longer stays, and can also support with basic training if necessary :) I’m available throughout the week for walks, day care, and overnight stays, so I can be really flexible depending on what you need. I’m also quite an active person and love my morning walks, so having a little companion with me would make it even better My home is set up to be dog friendly and clean, so it’s a comfortable environment where dogs can settle in easily. I have access to a garden for quick toilet breaks. And I don’t have any other pets at home

I am a highly experienced pet sitter & dog walker with 10+ years of cat ownership and expansive pet-care experience, including looking after dogs, cats, sheep, chickens and even some Icelandic horses! I have cared for amazing pets across the UK, Ireland and Germany, which has been an incredible way to travel the world, connect with new people and enjoy spending time around the most wonderful animals! Working for a local social enterprise that promotes accessible cycling has given me strong community values, excellent local knowledge, and a reliable, active lifestyle. I travel by bike whenever possible, allowing me to provide punctual, eco-conscious care for your pets. Back in Ireland I have four darling cats, all with differing personalities and needs, so I am expert in gauging pet behaviour and giving care accordingly. Under my high-standard supervision, I assure to always: -Feed pets adhering to your specific measurements, dietary requirements and allergies -Constantly provide fresh drinking water and refill frequently -Give all medicine as prescribed -Maintain all litter boxes -Give lots of love, attention and time to your pet (in a way that suits your pet best) NB - I am absolutely more than happy to meet you (and your pet) before sitting to ensure contentment and clarity between all parties - just pop me a message! Diolch ! I’m currently returning to university to complete a part-time Master’s degree over the next two years, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care for your furry family member! At the moment, I’m completely available on Sundays and Mondays, as well as every evening during the week. I also start work at 11:00 am most weekdays, making morning walks and drop-in visits easy to accommodate. I’m hoping to reduce my working hours further in the near future, allowing me even more availability for study and pet care. I live in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment with access to a fantastic private terrace featuring a large grassy area on the rooftop. This provides a safe and convenient outdoor space where your dog can stretch their legs or your cat can enjoy some fresh air (if they're used to being outdoors and with your permission). Your pet will have plenty of space to relax, play, and feel right at home during their stay. Your pet's safety, happiness, and routine are my absolute top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed. I always follow the owner's care instructions, including feeding schedules, medication (if required), exercise, and any specific routines or preferences. I keep fresh water available at all times, supervise pets closely, and ensure they are never left in unsafe situations. During walks, I use secure leads and stay alert to the surroundings. If I'm caring for pets in your home, I will respect your property, always keep everything tidy, and provide regular photo and message updates - just so you can have peace of mind while you're away. ** I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of attention, affection, and care (in a way that suits them best).
About: I have a rescue cat which has been with me for 6 years. The mother of the cat abandoned her when she was only 2 weeks old so I had to feed her milk from the bottle, make sure she can do her toilet properly and keep her warm while she was going to sleep. Alongside that I have looked after several other animals such as tortoises, birds and dogs. I’m the happiest when I’m around animals. I just finished my 1st year in Cardiff uni so I’m mainly free to take care of your little ones as home sits or in the afternoons. Regardless of whether your pet is well trained or not I would like you to know that I won’t be letting them off the lead throughout their time with me. I will make sure to keep you updated during the time they’re with me through photos and videos. I will make sure they get good exercise and their safety/happiness would be at the forefront of my mind at all times.

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I have experience caring for both cats and rabbits, including feeding, cleaning, administering basic care, and providing plenty of attention and enrichment. I also have experience looking after pets in their own homes, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m patient, dependable, and committed to following your pet’s routine as closely as possible. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and reserved, or a senior who needs a gentler approach, I’ll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. I understand how important regular updates are, so I’ll always keep you informed with photos and messages for complete peace of mind. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel happy, secure, and loved while you’re away, so you can travel knowing they’re in safe hands. I have a flexible work schedule, which allows me to adapt to your pet’s needs whenever possible. Whether you need regular visits, weekend care, or last-minute bookings, I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule. I understand that plans can change, and I’m happy to be flexible when needed to ensure your pet receives reliable, consistent care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special requirements so they can feel as relaxed as possible while you’re away. In your home, I’ll treat both your pet and your property with the utmost respect, following your instructions carefully and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in safe and caring hands.

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs, specifically cats, between the ages of about 8-18! I’ve also helped with newborn bulldog puppy and kitten care, including overnight feedings, playtimes and toilet breaks. I’m currently studying full time at uni, but my campus is easily accessible and my schedule is very much self-made, as it’s all coursework and art based! As someone who has three bulldogs at home, one whom has many health issues, making adjustments to support their needs was especially important! Coming from a family who own a dog-walking field, and are trained in dog health and safety, I know at least the basics of caring for your pet!
“Bianca kept me updated daily on how Molly and Flo were, 2 cats with very different personalities. She looked after them well. I would definately recommend her will be asking her to look after Molly and Flo in the future.”

I am a top class cuddler for those that like a snuggle :) I live in a ground floor flat, easy to go for toilet breaks. Although I do not have a private, enclosed garden I live directly opposite Bute Park/Pontcanna fields so am only 2 or 3 minutes away from lovely walks! I am lucky that I work from home so I am around all day and night, with plenty of time for walks, trips out and playtime/cuddles! I I will follow.your guidelines on how best to look after your furry friend ans ensure they are comfortable and well looked after so you can enjoy your holiday/day out!
About: I’ve previously owned a cat myself and genuinely enjoy spending time caring for animals. I also have experience looking after dogs for my boyfriend’s family while they were away or working, so I’m used to being responsible for pets’ routines, feeding, companionship, and overall care. I’m calm, patient, and attentive to different animal personalities, whether they’re energetic and affectionate or more shy and independent. I’ve also helped care for newborn puppies, which taught me the importance of being gentle, observant, and responsible around animals. I’m currently on summer break from university, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time to dedicate to pet care. Even when I have occasional coursework or assignments, I’m able to work remotely, which means I can still spend lots of quality time with your cat and maintain their usual routine and care. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I will feed them on time, refresh their water, keep their litter area clean, and make sure they have a calm and tidy environment. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for family members while they were away, so I understand the importance of reliability, patience, and keeping pets comfortable in their familiar surroundings. With cats especially, I understand that every personality is different, I’m happy to give affection, playtime, and cuddles if they want it, while also respecting their space if they are more shy or independent. I would treat both your cat and your home with care, patience, and respect.
“Poppy looked after our dog Bobby at short notice and did a fab job of keeping us updated with messages and pictures so we felt reassured. Bobby clearly had a good time with her so would definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve had a deep bond with dogs since childhood. I grew up with a German Shepherd who was part of our family for 12 wonderful years. I always enjoyed our walks, playtime, and cuddles she truly shaped my love and understanding of dogs. After she passed, I continued caring for dogs by helping my cousin at her dog hotel, where I regularly walked and cared for her five Huskies and other boarding dogs. These experiences taught me how to handle various breeds, energy levels, and temperaments. Now, I have a rescue dog from Oman who has been with me for almost two years. When I adopted him, he struggled with severe anxiety and fear of going outside. With patience, structure, and positive reinforcement, he’s made incredible progress. This journey has given me valuable experience in working with dogs who have experienced trauma or display challenging behaviors. While I didn’t pursue my childhood dream of becoming a vet, my passion for dogs and animals has remained strong. I believe animals, especially dogs, are among the purest souls in the world—and I treat every dog in my care with love, patience, and respect. I am currently out of work so I am available mostly at any time except Mondays and Thursdays between 6-9 pm but I’m available any other time I always follow the owner’s instructions, every dog is different and has different needs. I always pay attention to my surroundings and make sure the dog is close to me.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Cardiff
Great cat sitter, great communication and looked after our rather elderly Norwegian Forrest cat perfectly, including administering medication. And more than that, you could tell she loved animals, and that our cat trusted her. 5 stars, would definitely recommend

Always great having Samantha check in on Oreo. It’s lovely having someone who’s on the same wavelength and gives her plenty of love and attention while I’m away. Communication is always excellent, with regular updates and photos, which gives real peace of mind. I’d 100% recommend Samantha to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.

Ceri was brilliant at every step of the process - easy to communicate with ahead of time and pro-active with asking questions as needed while I was away. The only downside was that she’s a far better photographer than I am 😂 10/10 - would heartily recommend booking with her.

Becky was a fabulous sitter who managed to make friends with my very shy house cat. She popped in every day and sent regular updates. This was much appreciated as she was looking after Alice during the heat wave! She reassured me that all was well and took perfect care. I highly recommend Becky.

Rhos was great looking after our 2 furbabies, keeping us updated following each visit & sending us photos / videos. Rhos was thourough learning about our cats & their routines on the pre visit & handled our shy cat really well, knowing exactly what to do to win him over in a short time - he even let Rhos giving him some fusses ☺️ Would recommend!

Rhiannon is amasing and managed to build trust with my very anxious cat Freya. During the recent hot weather she even put a bowl of ice water and damp cloths on the kitchen tile for my girls to cool down. Rhiannon is easy going and extremely responsive to messages. I highly recommend.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
