I’m based mainly in Cardiff, and spend most of the holidays in Pembrokeshire. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, mostly rescues and larger breeds, and I’m confident around dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. I have experience with dog walking, sitting and overnight stays, as well as caring for puppies, and I’m comfortable with basic training and different routines. I particularly enjoy getting to know dogs who need a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable. I also have experience with senior dogs. My family dog lived to 15 with Cushing’s disease and struggled with her back legs, so I understand the extra care and patience older dogs may need. I’m happy to adapt walks, routines and care to suit each dog’s individual needs, and will always treat them as my own.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and comfort are my priority. I’m happy to follow their usual routines, including feeding, walking, sleeping and medication, and I’m comfortable caring for nervous dogs or those with individual behavioural quirks. I take walks one dog at a time, unless dogs are from the same household or you specifically ask otherwise, and I always make sure collars/harnesses are secure and follow your instructions around leads and off-lead walking. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know how your dog is getting on while you’re away. I have a full, clean driving licence and am able to drive to a vet in an emergency if needed. I’m currently working towards a dog first aid qualification and will always prioritise making sure your dog feels safe, settled and cared for.

Amazing service!!! I seen another review that said Abigail was a natural with dogs and its completely true! She came and dog sat/walked my two greyhounds and from the moment they met her they absolutely adored her! She was on time and communicated throughout her whole stay, sending me pup-dates that really put me at ease. I was nervous as one of my dogs is rather big but Abigail handled him like a 'walk in the park'. What a lovely girl, she'll always be welcome at our house and I'll be booking again soon!

Schedule
I’m starting my Master’s in September, with lectures on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings/afternoons, but I’m otherwise very flexible. I’m generally available for walks and drop-ins from around 7am onwards, with weekends usually free. I’m also available for overnight stays and can work around my university schedule where needed.

- I’d love to know as much as possible about your dog’s personality, routine and individual needs so I can make them feel comfortable and settled in my care. Please let me know about their usual routine, feeding and toilet habits, house rules, dietary requirements, medication, and anything they particularly enjoy. It’s also really helpful to know about any nervousness, behavioural quirks, triggers, fears or things they may be uncomfortable with, as well as how they are around other dogs and people. The more I know beforehand, the better I can tailor their care and make sure they’re happy, comfortable and stress free.
