About: I’ve had my own dog for 4 years and raised him from a puppy, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. As a dog owner and Rover user myself, I understand the level of care, love and attention every dog deserves. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness always come first, and I’ll make sure they’re treated like one of my own while they’re with me. I also have a real soft spot for dachshunds and specialise in caring for them. I understand their little personalities, their quirks, and the extra love and patience they need. I’ve looked after 4 dachshunds for longer stays and would love to become a regular sitter for owners looking for a safe, loving home-from-home for their dog while they’re away. You can expect a tailored and regular scheduled time to hang out, go for walks at the local parks. Lots of attention provided! We are very active and ratio about 3 to 4 walks a day as we enjoy getting out into the fields and enjoying the day. I provide dog walking, check ins at your residence if needed and I can offer doggy day care and overnight care. I’m available for all kind of specific needs your pet needs.
About: I’ve previously owned a cat myself and genuinely enjoy spending time caring for animals. I also have experience looking after dogs for my boyfriend’s family while they were away or working, so I’m used to being responsible for pets’ routines, feeding, companionship, and overall care. I’m calm, patient, and attentive to different animal personalities, whether they’re energetic and affectionate or more shy and independent. I’ve also helped care for newborn puppies, which taught me the importance of being gentle, observant, and responsible around animals. I’m currently on summer break from university, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time to dedicate to pet care. Even when I have occasional coursework or assignments, I’m able to work remotely, which means I can still spend lots of quality time with your cat and maintain their usual routine and care. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I will feed them on time, refresh their water, keep their litter area clean, and make sure they have a calm and tidy environment. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for family members while they were away, so I understand the importance of reliability, patience, and keeping pets comfortable in their familiar surroundings. With cats especially, I understand that every personality is different, I’m happy to give affection, playtime, and cuddles if they want it, while also respecting their space if they are more shy or independent. I would treat both your cat and your home with care, patience, and respect.

I can use your routine so your pet is the most comfortable when being looked after. Please provide me with instruction on how you would like things done or leave it up to me!
About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities for as long as I can remember. I am looking go dog walk as at the moment I am unable to have my own pup, live with me as I am in university. Whether its long walks, puppy playtime, or extra cuddles, I will make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and loved. I’m comfortable with feeding, exercise routines, and giving your dog plenty of attention—they’ll always be my main focus when I’m with them. I’m available most weekdays, as well as weekends, for walks, playtime, or drop-in visits. Because of this, I’m comfortable handling large, strong, energetic dogs as well as more relaxed family pets. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs, and I always take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe and cared for while their owners are away. I treat every dog as if they were my own and will keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. I work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, which gives me great flexibility for morning and evening walks, as well as drop-in visits during my breaks. This means your dog won’t be left waiting around and can enjoy consistent attention throughout the day. I’m also fully available on weekends, so I have plenty of time for longer walks, park trips, play sessions, and lots of one-to-one attention. I always try to be as flexible as possible and am happy to discuss specific timing needs to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. When caring for pets in their own home, I make every effort to maintain their usual routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime, medication (if required), and plenty of affection. I understand that many pets feel happiest in familiar surroundings, so I aim to provide calm, consistent care while you’re away. As a writer working from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care, ensuring they receive lots of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. Having owned dogs all my life, including large breeds such as Rottweilers and Dogue de Bordeaux, I’m confident handling dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Thank you Viv for helping us desensitize our Grace to strangers in the house. Progress made today, Grace was so very much less reactive to this situation, we very much appreciated your time and professionalism!!!🐺”

About: With access to a large garden for your pup to explore, and Heath Park and Roath Parks nearby your pup will have plenty of access to exiting exercise. My super-freindly bealge will be a great companion too. I've had my dog for over 4 years and looked after my neighbour's dog for longer. Raising a beagle puppy has taught me how dogs learn and interact, and I use this knowledge to keep her stimulated and occupied so can offer enrichment games to keep them occupied even when it's too wet to walk. I speak Welsh so am able to communicate with dogs who have been taught commands in Welsh. I work part time and from home most days so your dog wont be alone and will have plenty of attention. I am able to manage my own work schedule allowing me flexibility to accommodate your dogs routine. My dog is super friendly and would make a great playmate, however she is respectful of others space. I take my dog out to the local park twice a day. Outside of work I have few commitments so am available for walking and drop in visits. Your dog will have a comfortable stay as they will be allowed on the sofas. I have enough space for indoor play and a large secure garden for exercise. My friendly beagle will be a great playmate for your dog. If your dog wants more space I am 2 minutes walk from Heath Park. I can crate if needed.

Kerri did an excellent job of looking after Jojo and Doris, providing regular updates abd pictures of their day, I could see how happy they were which made me feel reassured. Already booked Kerri for my next absence away from home, which I know my furbabies will be happy to see her again.

Paul-Jose arrived on time. He handled Larla well and did what I specifically asked for her. He was communicative, letting me know when he was on his way. He has helped several times with Larla and I have every confidence in him to look after my precious pooch well.

Bronwen was brilliant. Genuinely lovely, super punctual and an absolute pleasure. She even popped over ahead of her evening sit to meet our little Scully. Our cockers were obviously very relaxed in her company and I’ve no doubt they enjoyed some nice cuddles. Thank you Bron!

Lloyd has been absolutely amazing taking care of my dog. He was so patient and understanding of my pet's needs and adapted to his personality and quirks. He communicated promptly and was flexible with timings and activities The updates were thorough and we even had a sweet photo at the end. I would absolutely work with Lloyd again as my dog also was thrilled to see him every time Lloyd walked through the door. Without doubt the best part of my dog's day. Thank you Lloyd, will be in touch for future bookings!

I am so pleased that Lizzie was able to help us with Dennis, especially at late notice! He seemed to really enjoy spending time with Lizzie (& Cleo) and I knew he was very well cared for. Lizzie arranged to meet us before my time away and provided great pupdates throughout!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
