About: I lived with dogs (labs and spaniels) for most of my childhood and was always taught how to train them, how to walk them, and the other essentials of pet care. I currently work from home and have a flexible work pattern so can regularly take pups for toilet breaks/walks. I regularly go on long walks when we can. All I need now is a dog to take with us! Dogs will be given as much or as little attention as needed during the day, able to roam as they please. I’m happy to talk to owners about any specific requirements and we’ll see what we can do!
“Mireia saved our holiday after our friend pulled out from cat sitting last minute. From the meet and greet, we felt completely at ease . She’s warm, easy to talk to and very personable. One of our cats is a bit shy, but Mireia was super patient and let her come to her in her own time. She has an obvious understanding of cats, and ours warmed to her straight away!. While we were away, she went above and beyond. She spotted an issue with our automatic feeder - let us know, and made sure the cats never missed a meal. She also spent lots of time playing with them, keeping them company and giving them cwtches. The updates were great, lots of photos and detailed messages that allowed us to really enjoy our time away with no worries about the cats. We came home to two very happy cats. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Mireia obviously loves and cares about animals, and we’re so glad we had someone so kind to look after our cats. Will 100000% book Mireia again.”

About: I’ve owned my Dalmatian for over 8 years, and caring for him has taught me the ins and outs of daily dog care — feeding routines, exercise needs, grooming, and lots of patience and love. While I haven’t worked professionally outside my own home, I bring genuine, hands-on experience and treat every dog like part of my family. I’m reliable, attentive, and always put your pet’s comfort and safety first. I personally handle all care myself — no one else assists with looking after your pet. I run my own business, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. I’m generally available for walks, sitting, and boarding at most times of the day, and I’ll only take on a booking if I know I can give it my full attention. This flexibility means I can often accommodate last-minute requests as well as regular, recurring care. My partner and I share our home together, and we don’t currently have any pets of our own, so your dog would get our complete, undivided attention throughout their stay. While we don’t have a private garden, we’re just a minute’s walk from Sophia Gardens park, so your dog will get plenty of outdoor time, exercise, and fresh air every day. We keep a calm, clean, and comfortable environment, and we’re happy to follow any specific routines, feeding schedules, or house rules you have to make sure your dog feels safe and settled with us.
About: I had a family dog from the age of 8-22. I also have extensive experience walking dogs- at university I managed a voluntary dog walking group where I would walk for over 15 dogs. I also walked for 2 different dog owners since, whilst living at home. Having recently moved to Cardiff I am keen to support where and when needed- I have a car and I work flexibly from home. I can be available in the morning before 8am and anytime after 4pm Monday- Friday. I do not do overnight stays I work from home typically on Monday, Thursday and Friday meaning I am available before 8am and after 4pm. I am also free on weekends. I can also be available for lunch time walks, as I have an hour for my lunch. I am happy to have dogs in my car and work remotely from your house if needed. I am happy to accommodate with any needs your dog has, and respect your house and rules for your pet. I am an extremely reliable and trustworthy person- being responsible for a voluntary dog walking group, I had to work with vulnerable people as well as ensure my dog walkers were DBS checked, so I understand the importance of safety
“Lloyd has been absolutely amazing taking care of my dog. He was so patient and understanding of my pet's needs and adapted to his personality and quirks. He communicated promptly and was flexible with timings and activities The updates were thorough and we even had a sweet photo at the end. I would absolutely work with Lloyd again as my dog also was thrilled to see him every time Lloyd walked through the door. Without doubt the best part of my dog's day. Thank you Lloyd, will be in touch for future bookings!”

About: I grew up in a very furry household: 6 dogs, 10 cats, plus years of horse riding camps - animals were basically part of everyday life for me. Since moving to Cardiff, I haven’t been able to have as many animals around me, and I genuinely miss it! Looking after pets takes me straight back to those happy, chaotic, furry years. For the last two years I’ve also looked after friends’ dogs and cats, taking them for walks, feeding them, playing with them, keeping them company and giving medication when needed. I’d love to do much more pet sitting, which is exactly why I’m here. I’m patient, affectionate and easy-going with animals, and happy to follow their usual routine. I love walking, so energetic dogs and I tend to get on very well - and I seem to have a natural way with cats too, even the shy or tricky ones often warm up to me quickly! 🐈 My schedule is flexible and I work mostly from home, so I can usually fit pet care around my day quite easily. I’m available weekdays and sometimes weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings, and I’m happy to help with last-minute bookings too. I have a car and can travel around 10 minutes from Pontcanna/Canton. I’ll always follow your pet’s usual routine and any instructions you leave - every animal is different. I’m very aware of my surroundings, especially out on walks, and good at reading animals and adapting to what they need. I’m there for them, not the other way around. I’m also very respectful of people’s homes and happy to help with little things like plants, post, basic tidying up or anything else that needs looking after while you’re away - and of course send plenty of furry updates! ☺️

About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I walk dogs for vulnerable people for free with the Cinamon trust, which I love. I’m a vegan, and I love all animals and treat every single one as if they were my own beloved pet! With my current job I’m unable to have my own dog, so it’s my absolute pleasure looking after other people’s when I can! I’m working full time, 4 days a week on week days only. I have weekends and evenings free and would love to use it looking after your pets! I live in a second floor flat. Dogs are welcome in my home and on the furniture. I am currently using rover and other pet care websites as my full time job. This means I am available all day every day, at any time to take care of your pets! I will look after the pets as if they were my own. I understand boundaries and respect within someone’s home. I’m here to give you a trustworthy place to leave your animals. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, and have never known a time without a dog in my life. Growing up in Cornwall, I’ve had exposure to a vast variety of animals, giving me hands on experience across a wide range animal care. Animals care has always been a natural part of my schedule, and I understand every pet has its own individual personality and needs to make sure they feel safe and loved whilst in my care. Training and working springer spaniels is something I’ve grown up doing, so I’m comfortable with handling energetic dogs, and I understand the importance of patience and consistency. I can guarantee I will always care for your pets with the same kindness and attention I would give my own. I work full time in Cardiff 8am - 4pm, finishing early every Friday (2:30/3pm). Before and after these hours I can ensure they will received plenty of affection and quality time, especially dedicated in the evenings and weekends. My partner, who is also a big dog lover, works from home, so your pet will never be alone whilst in our care. I live in a clean, secure, gated community apartment complex. I am happy to accommodate crate-trained or training dogs to provide a quiet and safe space. I do not currently have any pets living with me, so your pet will have my full attention and no need to adjust to any resident friends.
About: I’ve had a deep bond with dogs since childhood. I grew up with a German Shepherd who was part of our family for 12 wonderful years. I always enjoyed our walks, playtime, and cuddles she truly shaped my love and understanding of dogs. After she passed, I continued caring for dogs by helping my cousin at her dog hotel, where I regularly walked and cared for her five Huskies and other boarding dogs. These experiences taught me how to handle various breeds, energy levels, and temperaments. Now, I have a rescue dog from Oman who has been with me for almost two years. When I adopted him, he struggled with severe anxiety and fear of going outside. With patience, structure, and positive reinforcement, he’s made incredible progress. This journey has given me valuable experience in working with dogs who have experienced trauma or display challenging behaviors. While I didn’t pursue my childhood dream of becoming a vet, my passion for dogs and animals has remained strong. I believe animals, especially dogs, are among the purest souls in the world—and I treat every dog in my care with love, patience, and respect. I am currently out of work so I am available mostly at any time except Mondays and Thursdays between 6-9 pm but I’m available any other time I always follow the owner’s instructions, every dog is different and has different needs. I always pay attention to my surroundings and make sure the dog is close to me.
About: With over 15 years of experience caring for dogs, I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. Growing up with four dogs and now raising my own Biewer Terrier, Chickoo, I’ve developed a genuine understanding of dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. As a doctoral researcher with a healthcare background, I bring a calm, attentive, and detail-oriented approach to pet care. My husband and I work from home, so your pet receives plenty of companionship, supervision, and affection throughout the day. I have experience with: # Puppy care, including basic training, recall, and toilet training. # Senior dog care, including administering oral medications and supporting dogs with additional care needs. # Basic wound care and dressing changes when required. # Mental enrichment and stimulating games for high-energy dogs. # Bathing and blow-drying. I always follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel relaxed and secure. You’ll also receive regular photo and video updates throughout their stay, so you can enjoy complete peace of mind while you’re away. I’m currently doing research so I spend most the time at home and cherry on the top, even if I go out for few hours my husband is always home to look after your buddy. Note: Day cares are only cover 8-10 hours i.e drop off 7-9am and pickup between 4-6pm anything after that will be considered as boarding. For daycares, I can provide a maximum of one walk per day, with plenty of playtime, enrichment, and companionship for the rest of the day. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, their safety, comfort, and happiness are always my highest priorities. Before every booking, I take the time to understand each pet’s individual routine, personality, medical needs, feeding schedule, exercise requirements, and any behavioural quirks, so I can provide care that’s tailored specifically to them. In my home: * Pets are fitted with an AirTag (with the owner’s permission) while in my care for added peace of mind. * Fresh drinking water is always available, and food and water bowls are cleaned after every meal. * Care is adapted to each pet’s individual needs and routine. * My enclosed, secure garden allows for safe, supervised outdoor time. * Pets are never left unattended in the garden or left home alone. * They are monitored 24/7 using pet cameras, and I provide constant supervision and companionship. Throughout every stay, I provide regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, loved, and receiving the highest standard of care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to create a calm, happy, and trusting environment wherever they are.

Alicia has been amazing with Skye. She is reliable, responds quickly to messages, and has been so patient with my anxious dog. She really takes the time to make Skye feel comfortable and doesn’t just pop in and leave, she spends quality time playing with her and giving her lots of attention. It gives me real peace of mind knowing Skye is safe, happy and well cared for whenever I’m not there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alicia to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares about their pet. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Saba went above and beyond to look after my dog (Cuban) for 4 days, she came twice a day no issues at all, I was given constant updates and sent regular photos, I was always rest assured he was well looked after, Cuban enjoyed his long walks and really took to Saba, I would definitely recommend and 100% use Saba’s services again in the future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Paul-Jose arrived on time. He handled Larla well and did what I specifically asked for her. He was communicative, letting me know when he was on his way. He has helped several times with Larla and I have every confidence in him to look after my precious pooch well.

Bronwen was brilliant. Genuinely lovely, super punctual and an absolute pleasure. She even popped over ahead of her evening sit to meet our little Scully. Our cockers were obviously very relaxed in her company and I’ve no doubt they enjoyed some nice cuddles. Thank you Bron!

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
