“This is my first time in using Rover and I was rather apprehensive about it all. I decided to choose Clare as she was happy to meet beforehand as well as being an experienced dog lover. As Ziggy is a nervous/ anxious dog I was important to me that Ziggy met her house sitter first especially as I wasn’t going to be at home when the sitter arrived. Clare communicated well with me keeping me informed and let me know when she arrived and that Ziggy was so pleased to see her which put me at ease. Clare attached two photos of Ziggy to a Rover Card having a great time playing with her ball. I highly recommend Clare and will certainly book her when I need another house sitter for Ziggy.”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have my own. I know the importance of a routine and their comfort, their individual needs such as needing space or wanting to cuddle. I’m comfortable with administering flea, tick and worm treatments, and currently looking into dog/animal first aid. I’m currently on maternity leave, so I have lots of time for walks and sitting in the evenings or early mornings, especially during the summer. Weekends are a lot more flexible, and happy to walk dogs who get on with others as I have my own. I’ll always ask owners first but happy to provide solo walks if preferred. In my own home, I have an enclosed garden and live with a very friendly and social cocker spaniel. Indoors, I have a separate kitchen and living room, allowing for space for dogs if they stay. My dog sleeps in a crate in the kitchen which has a baby gate so separation can be provided if necessary. Very friendly neighbourhood with parks and good green parks available for walks close by.

I grew up with dogs and cats, including rescue dogs, and have experience looking after dogs for friends and housemates, from walks and overnight stays to caring for them while their owners are away. I currently work part-time as a support worker with young adults with learning disabilities, which gives me plenty of flexibility. I treat every dog as if it were my own and always aim to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m an outdoorsy person and enjoy long walks, so I’m happy to look after high-energy dogs as well as more relaxed ones. About: I've grown up with a variety of pets my whole life and have always been an immense animal lover! Because of this, I am often relied on by friends and family to look after their fur-babies whilst they are away and also have lots of experience house-sitting. I'm at my happiest when I'm around dogs and animals and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I own my own home so I'm therefore very responsible and respectful of whoever's home I'm staying in. I will be sure to follow your instructions regarding pet care and certain things around the house. I currently work full-time Monday to Friday so I would be available to look after your pup(s) from late afternoon on Friday until Sunday evening (or early Monday morning). On some occasions if need be, it may be possible for me to work remotely from your home (if WiFi permits and dependant on your facilities but I would need plenty of notice for this). Over the weekend I will be on hand every couple of hours to give your fur-babies my undivided attention, walkies and play time! I would also be available to pop in for checks and short walks during weekday evenings as well. I have a handsome miniature dachshund who keeps me company while I work from home during the week. I have a fenced and secure garden and have a car seat cover that covers the entire back seat meaning we can go further afield for walks as where we live has lots to offer on our doorstep for a variety of walks and terrain. We tend to go on two walks a day and perhaps a longer, more adventurous one on the weekends.

About: I grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes (from little crosses to big labs!), and was looking after them from a pretty young age. Over the years I’ve also helped out friends and family with everything from walks and feeding to day visits and overnight stays. I’ve got experience with both younger and older dogs, including rescues, so I’m used to getting to know different personalities and what they need. I now live in a house in Heavitree with a small but fully enclosed garden, which is perfect for a bit of outdoor time and fresh air. I work during the week, but I’m always happy to help with evenings and especially weekends – whether that’s sitting or walks. I’m friendly, reliable, and genuinely just love being around animals, so I’ll make sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away 😊 I work full time in the week, so will largely be available to pop into check tails are wagging on weekends, but would also consider weekday evenings (after 6pm). I currently live in a flat which cant have animals, and would struggle due to work commitments in the week, so see this as a lovely way to still see some furry friends. I would take any instructions from you very seriously, for example being on/off lead on walks, garden security etc. I also understand the importance of routine for dogs so would listen carefully to how you wished things to be done.

About: Hi! My name is Abbie. I have worked in the emergency services for over 7 years. However my passion has always been animals. I have had dogs for over ten years and currently have two dogs (Bear and Leo) who are both rescues and at times both come with their challenges 😂 I am a very outdoorsy person, I am forever trying to find new places to walk my pooches and explore. I am available to house sit, take your dogs out on big days out (with or without my pooches) or just popping in and spending some time with them. About: I started pet sitting, boarding and dog walking almost 20 years ago and love my work! I’ve grown up with many different pets and have always had dogs in my life. My Jack Russell (and best friend) ‘Skippy’ I sadly lost last year after 17 happy years together, so currently share my mothers dog and still dog sit for friends and neighbours which i get the greatest pleasure from. Animals are my passion in life and I treat all pets as if they were my own. I’m currently working flexible hours, part-time, so have plenty of quality time to spend with your pet who I believe would need my full attention, especially in the first few visits while they adjust to a new carer, possibly unfamiliar surroundings and potentially missing their owners. I have a fully enclosed fenced garden and live in a quiet area away from a main road. I often have my mothers dog if your fur baby likes the company of other dogs but equally, if your dog is more solitary, I can provide that too!

Dogs will also receive feeding, companionship and meds, I will also walk your dog and and very confident with all breeds and temperaments. Dog care will include feeding, walking twice a day (morning and evening, with consideration given to weather conditions e.g. later walks if it's super hot), medication if necessary, unlimited toilet walks, endless amount of love and cuddles. I offer feeding, walking, companionship and medical support in your home. I have done rover and other similar apps for years and hope you feel safe to trust me with your beloved pets

About: I’ve always taken care of pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, Guinea pigs, you name it! However, I recently just lost my lovely little 6 year old French bulldog in a long-term relationship breakdown. I work full time in the week, so I can do evenings and weekends. Can take annual leave/work from home for longest sittings if required. I live in a beautiful ground floor flat in Newton Abbot with gardens. I am close to the national trust park which is where I used to walk my boy every morning.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was around 10 for neighbours and friends and family I have reptile and equine experience I’m currently only working part time and am informed of my shifts days in advanced which opens up my schedule to more hours during the week! I have a fenced garden and a park just opposite my house which is mostly enclosed, I can take your pet on multiple walks a day and they shouldn’t be alone for more than a couple hours at a time :)
