“This is my first time in using Rover and I was rather apprehensive about it all. I decided to choose Clare as she was happy to meet beforehand as well as being an experienced dog lover. As Ziggy is a nervous/ anxious dog I was important to me that Ziggy met her house sitter first especially as I wasn’t going to be at home when the sitter arrived. Clare communicated well with me keeping me informed and let me know when she arrived and that Ziggy was so pleased to see her which put me at ease. Clare attached two photos of Ziggy to a Rover Card having a great time playing with her ball. I highly recommend Clare and will certainly book her when I need another house sitter for Ziggy.”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have my own. I know the importance of a routine and their comfort, their individual needs such as needing space or wanting to cuddle. I’m comfortable with administering flea, tick and worm treatments, and currently looking into dog/animal first aid. I’m currently on maternity leave, so I have lots of time for walks and sitting in the evenings or early mornings, especially during the summer. Weekends are a lot more flexible, and happy to walk dogs who get on with others as I have my own. I’ll always ask owners first but happy to provide solo walks if preferred. In my own home, I have an enclosed garden and live with a very friendly and social cocker spaniel. Indoors, I have a separate kitchen and living room, allowing for space for dogs if they stay. My dog sleeps in a crate in the kitchen which has a baby gate so separation can be provided if necessary. Very friendly neighbourhood with parks and good green parks available for walks close by.

About: Hi, I’m Denise, a caring and reliable pet sitter with a lifelong love of animals. I grew up with dogs and cats, including rescue dogs, and have experience looking after dogs for friends and housemates, from walks and overnight stays to caring for them while their owners are away. I currently work part-time as a support worker with young adults with learning disabilities, which gives me plenty of flexibility. I treat every dog as if it were my own and always aim to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m an outdoorsy person and enjoy long walks, so I’m happy to look after high-energy dogs as well as more relaxed ones. I also have experience with puppies, nervous dogs, and rescue dogs with challenging behaviours. I’d love to help look after your dog and make sure they’re well cared for while you’re away🐾 I also offer drop-in visits and dog walking! I currently work part-time as a support worker, so I have plenty of flexibility. My schedule changes weekly, but I’ll always do my best to accommodate your needs. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I always follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, and any specific instructions you provide. I make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and secure at all times, and I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages if you ask for it so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I can’t offer pet sitting in my own home at the moment, but I’m happy to travel anywhere within 30 miles
About: I've grown up with a variety of pets my whole life and have always been an immense animal lover! Because of this, I am often relied on by friends and family to look after their fur-babies whilst they are away and also have lots of experience house-sitting. I'm at my happiest when I'm around dogs and animals and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I own my own home so I'm therefore very responsible and respectful of whoever's home I'm staying in. I will be sure to follow your instructions regarding pet care and certain things around the house. I currently work full-time Monday to Friday so I would be available to look after your pup(s) from late afternoon on Friday until Sunday evening (or early Monday morning). On some occasions if need be, it may be possible for me to work remotely from your home (if WiFi permits and dependant on your facilities but I would need plenty of notice for this). Over the weekend I will be on hand every couple of hours to give your fur-babies my undivided attention, walkies and play time! I would also be available to pop in for checks and short walks during weekday evenings as well. I have a handsome miniature dachshund who keeps me company while I work from home during the week. I have a fenced and secure garden and have a car seat cover that covers the entire back seat meaning we can go further afield for walks as where we live has lots to offer on our doorstep for a variety of walks and terrain. We tend to go on two walks a day and perhaps a longer, more adventurous one on the weekends.
About: I grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes (from little crosses to big labs!), and was looking after them from a pretty young age. Over the years I’ve also helped out friends and family with everything from walks and feeding to day visits and overnight stays. I’ve got experience with both younger and older dogs, including rescues, so I’m used to getting to know different personalities and what they need. I now live in a house in Heavitree with a small but fully enclosed garden, which is perfect for a bit of outdoor time and fresh air. I work during the week, but I’m always happy to help with evenings and especially weekends – whether that’s sitting or walks. I’m friendly, reliable, and genuinely just love being around animals, so I’ll make sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away 😊 I work full time in the week, so will largely be available to pop into check tails are wagging on weekends, but would also consider weekday evenings (after 6pm). I currently live in a flat which cant have animals, and would struggle due to work commitments in the week, so see this as a lovely way to still see some furry friends. I would take any instructions from you very seriously, for example being on/off lead on walks, garden security etc. I also understand the importance of routine for dogs so would listen carefully to how you wished things to be done.
About: From a young age, I’ve always had a deep love for dogs, having grown up with them as a part of my family. Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets, whether it’s for a single day or an extended period. While I don’t claim to have formal training, what sets me apart is my extreme patience and genuine adoration for ensuring dogs are happy, comfortable, and well-cared for. Whether it’s playing, walking, or just keeping them company, I’m passionate about providing the love and attention every dog deserves. As a self-employed working from home, pet care easily fits into my daily routine. I have the flexibility to schedule walks and playtime throughout the day, ensuring dogs get the exercise and attention they need. This flexibility allows me to be fully present for pets in my care, whether it’s a quick walk or spending quality time with them during the day. My schedule makes it easy to adjust to the needs of each dog, offering a personalized and attentive experience. When caring for pets in my home, I prioritize safety and comfort. My home is fully fenced and gated, with a secure garden where dogs can enjoy outdoor time while staying safe. Although I don’t currently have any personal pets, I always make sure that your pet is in a secure, calm environment, away from any potential dangers. I take extra care to ensure they feel at home, providing a stress-free space where they can relax and have fun. If I’m in your home, I follow any guidelines you provide to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being, treating your space with the same respect and care.

About: Hi! My name is Abbie. I have worked in the emergency services for over 7 years. However my passion has always been animals. I have had dogs for over ten years and currently have two dogs (Bear and Leo) who are both rescues and at times both come with their challenges 😂 I am a very outdoorsy person, I am forever trying to find new places to walk my pooches and explore. I am available to house sit, take your dogs out on big days out (with or without my pooches) or just popping in and spending some time with them. I’m looking forward to hearing from you 😊🐾 I work shift work but part of that is working from home so means I am available to pet sit. I have variable shifts but happy to chat and see what works best for everyone 😊 Me and my partner have a two bedroom house that I am currently renovating which is taking a lot longer than I thought it would 😂 I have a fenced small garden. I am able to care for animals in their own home or at mine if they get along with my two pooches.
About: I’ve had pets within my home my whole life, not just dogs but a litter of kittens, hamsters, rabbits and Guinea pigs. I’ve helped friends and neighbours in Devon since I was about 14 with pet care. After working as a nanny in Brighton for 6 years I’ve moved back home to Devon to be nearer family. I am currently doing free lance photography and ad hoc nannying I have a large flat, my garden isn’t the biggest it’s a medium sized one but I live near the quay so there’s lots of lovely surrounding walks.
About: I've always loved taking care of pets for friends, family and neighbours. Having moved to Exeter 4 years ago for university, I always said I missed my dog the most! I looked for any excuse to look after any of my team mates dogs, or head to the beach myself. Growing up we have had two rescue dogs, which proved challenging initially, but has been so rewarding to train and see them both feel comfortable in my family home. I can ensure your dog will have an enjoyable, long walk and explore somewhere new, and be loved as if it's my own! I'm currently a professional rugby player for Exeter Chiefs Women, training 3 days a week, with matches on weekends. I am looking for some part time opportunities for day care and dog walking around the training schedule and can make this work around you! I have a fenced outdoor space and a spacious living room; I am close to either Dawlish, Exmouth or the Exeter Quay so will ensure your pet has a decent walk throughout the day
About: Although I am at the beginning of my professional pet sitting journey, I have always loved animals and have cared for pets belonging to friends and family. Being around animals feels natural to me, and I am patient, calm, and attentive to their needs. I have experience looking after both cats and dogs, including feeding them according to their routine, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, taking dogs on walks, and giving them plenty of playtime and affection. With shy pets, I give them space and allow them to approach me at their own pace so they feel safe and comfortable. With energetic pets, I make sure they get enough exercise and engaging play to keep them happy and relaxed. During walks, I stay alert and prioritize safety at all times. For home visits, I ensure your pet receives attention, care, and companionship; not just basic feeding. I can also follow specific instructions carefully, including dietary needs or simple medication if required. I only accept vaccinated pets to maintain a healthy environment. My goal is to make your pet feel secure and loved while giving you peace of mind. We could chat and arrange a suitable time as I my schedule is fixable so it is adjustable after having a chat ! It won’t be hard for me to arrange something ! I am going to provide this in good detail after my account gets approved!! Although some of the things I provide while looking after pets is every 2 hour video updates day time amd I will provide any specific care the pets need !

“Debbie was fantastic with Chewie while we were away! It was the first time we'd left her for more than a couple of nights - Debbie sent us lovely updates and images of her daily visit. Chewie was super happy to see us when we got home - but I could tell that she had been well loved and looked after while we were away! Would highly recommend Debbie to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Aneta looked after our dogs for the first time at the weekend, they warmed to her instantly and she took time to understand what our dogs liked/disliked. We’ve rebooked Aneta for a week or so in September and we feel happy and comfortable knowing our dogs are in good hands.”

About: I started pet sitting, boarding and dog walking almost 20 years ago and love my work! I’ve grown up with many different pets and have always had dogs in my life. My Jack Russell (and best friend) ‘Skippy’ I sadly lost last year after 17 happy years together, so currently share my mothers dog and still dog sit for friends and neighbours which i get the greatest pleasure from. Animals are my passion in life and I treat all pets as if they were my own. I’m currently working flexible hours, part-time, so have plenty of quality time to spend with your pet who I believe would need my full attention, especially in the first few visits while they adjust to a new carer, possibly unfamiliar surroundings and potentially missing their owners. I have a fully enclosed fenced garden and live in a quiet area away from a main road. I often have my mothers dog if your fur baby likes the company of other dogs but equally, if your dog is more solitary, I can provide that too!
About: I have lived with dogs and cats all my life, volunteered at multiple rescue and rehoming shelters all over the world, and have experience of professional pet care while working in Australia, and currently work as a dog walker. Fingers crossed we won't need these skills, but I am great in an emergency, I'm confident in pet first aid and know the signs to look for which might indicate illness or injury. I am very good at reading pet behaviour, which means I can make sure your pet feels comfy, safe and loved. Cat care will include your average feeding, litter tray changing, medication if necessary and copious amounts of play and cuddles. Dogs will also receive feeding, companionship and meds, I will also walk your dog and and very confident with all breeds and temperaments. Dog care will include feeding, walking twice a day (morning and evening, with consideration given to weather conditions e.g. later walks if it's super hot), medication if necessary, unlimited toilet walks, endless amount of love and cuddles. I offer feeding, walking, companionship and medical support in your home. I have done rover and other similar apps for years and hope you feel safe to trust me with your beloved pets
About: I’ve always taken care of pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, Guinea pigs, you name it! However, I recently just lost my lovely little 6 year old French bulldog in a long-term relationship breakdown. I work full time in the week, so I can do evenings and weekends. Can take annual leave/work from home for longest sittings if required. I live in a beautiful ground floor flat in Newton Abbot with gardens. I am close to the national trust park which is where I used to walk my boy every morning.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was around 10 for neighbours and friends and family I have reptile and equine experience I’m currently only working part time and am informed of my shifts days in advanced which opens up my schedule to more hours during the week! I have a fenced garden and a park just opposite my house which is mostly enclosed, I can take your pet on multiple walks a day and they shouldn’t be alone for more than a couple hours at a time :)

I can thoroughly recommend Tabitha. I was very impressed that Tabitha was happy to meet beforehand as I wasn’t going to be at home when she arrived to pop in to check on Ziggy, so it was important to me that Ziggy met her beforehand. Tabitha sent me some lovely photos of Ziggy playing with a puzzle toy and her snuffle mat. It was obvious that Ziggy felt relaxed and enjoyed Tabitha’s company. I will certainly ask Tabitha to look after Ziggy again .

I am so grateful for Bini taking care of Cooper. I can always trust my pup will have the happiest time on drop ins and am certain he is very well looked after. The photos and report after every visit is so appreciated and provides a lot of reassurance :) thank you x
