I enjoy getting outdoors whatever the weather, so your dog will receive the exercise and mental stimulation they need, balanced with time to relax in a calm, comfortable home. On the odd day that I have to attend my physical work place, my partner, Neil, works from home so the dogs are never left on their own. I'll take the time to get to know your dog's routine, personality and any specific needs so I can provide care that's familiar and reassuring. I have a fully enclosed garden and live close to the beach as well as several nice dog walking areas so every trip out is an adventure. I'll ensure they have regular walks, plenty of playtime, fresh water, meals according to your instructions, and lots of affection and companionship. I'll also keep up with any training routines, medication or special requirements if needed. If your dog stays in my home, they'll be welcomed as part of the family in a calm, comfortable environment with plenty of attention and opportunities to rest, play and explore. “Our young labrador Poppy stayed with Matteo for two nights while we were in the area for a wedding, and we are so glad to have found such a reliable and kind-hearted dog sitter. Matteo was kind enough to accept my request of a video call before we finalised the booking, which helped to put our minds at rest - as this was the first time we had used Rover. Upon arrival in his home, we were shown around, and he made sure to ask us plenty of questions about her feeding and walking schedule. We were then kept up-to-date throughout the weekend with photos of Poppy cuddling up to Matteo on the sofa, or them playing fetch on the beach near his home. About: I am an experienced dog owner, and fosterer for a couple of rescues. I have fostered lots of different breeds from Yorkshire terriers and dachshunds, to poodles and pomskys! I am confident handling nervous and quirky dogs. I welcome every dog into my home as if they are my own. I work for a dog food company and my whole live revolves around giving dogs the best life possible. I work fully remotely from home with flexible hours so I can adapt my routine to fit your dogs needs. Typically our routine is made up of 3 walks a day, and a last wee break before bed! But I can cater to any needs and requirements. I have a fully fenced (6ft) enclosed garden, dogs have full access to when required via patio doors. I have 2 friendly resident dogs - a 14kg mixed breed female and a 9kg male poodle. Both are neutered & are rescues but are used to dogs coming and going! I do have a house cat, but he can be kept separately from any visiting dogs as and when necessary. Dogs are allowed in my bedroom / bed at night if needed.

On my days off, I usually start the day with a morning walk between 9–10am, lasting at least an hour. In good weather, this can turn into longer outings of several hours, with breaks for rest, water, and lunch. I also provide a shorter, calmer evening walk around 6pm for 20–30 minutes. Dogs in my care have regular access to the garden for toilet breaks throughout the day, and I always ensure a final toilet break around 9pm before settling in for the night. I’m happy to adapt my routine depending on each dog’s needs, whether they prefer longer adventures or a more relaxed pace. I provide a safe, relaxed, and home-from-home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. In my home, dogs are welcome in all areas and can choose where they feel most comfortable—whether that’s on the sofa or in their own bed in the lounge. I have a fully secure, fenced garden with no external access, so they can safely enjoy time outside whenever needed. I don’t use crates, but I may be able to accommodate one for smaller dogs if that’s part of their usual routine. For overnight stays, dogs are welcome upstairs and can sleep on my bed or in the spare room—whatever helps them feel most settled and secure. Although my own dog is not food reactive, I always feed dogs separately to ensure they each eat their own meals safely and at their own pace. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I am very respectful of routines and house rules. About: Hi, I've been a mum to furbabies for over 25 years and would like to offer the same mum experience to your pets while you're away from home. My Boston Terrier Griff, Frenchie Margot, and cats Riley & Rosa would stay at home with family while I was with yours. Having said that, Griff and Margot are always up for playdates if it were suitable to you I can be fully at home from Fri evening to Tuesday early morning. I may be able to book additional days as annual leave with 6 weeks or more notice I will ensure your pets have the same routine and service that they have with you so that they won't be disrupted or unsettled while you're away from home

About: I have previous experience owning and caring for cats, having had several cats over the years. Although we don’t currently have any pets, I am very comfortable around cats and understand their needs, behaviour and boundaries. My children are also familiar with cats and are gentle and respectful around them. About: I have cared for animals since I was very young. Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Fish, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters Chickens and Horses. Animals have always been a part of my everyday life. I am only work part-time so have plenty of time to give live and attention to your fur babies. For animals that wan't attention I am happy to play. I always ensure an owners home is looked after and secured as if it were my own home. I always keep it clean and tidy.
About: I've had dogs most of life: as loved family pets and taking care of friends and neighbours dogs for long and short stays. I love going out on the beach for a long walk with them, up on the common or playing games at home. I have 1 family dog who comes to stay often who is blind so I'm used to dogs who need a bit more love and attention. We'll start with a morning walk on the beach or the Maer, some breakfast and then a couple of hours down time until a lunch time wander. After work, we'll have a longer walk over the cliffs, on the common or along the beach. Can play fetch or other games and then home for a chilled evening. I work full time mostly from home and only have doggos to stay on days I am at home. I can use a crate for your dog if needed, or have plenty of space for a bed of theirs. They can bring toys over too. I don't have a garden but live right by the beach and gardens and can go out during the day as well as morning and after work if they need it. I'm happy to have your dog overnight too.

I have been on Rover for a little while now and I have walked dogs for clients and friends for the past 5 years and often sit dogs at my house for friends and family. “Yves and Nick were absolutely fantastic with Romy. She’s still very much a puppy, so I’m always a bit nervous leaving her with someone new, but they made her feel comfortable almost straight away. Communication was great throughout the day and it was so reassuring to get regular updates and photos. What really stood out though was that Yves’ partner (Nick) was also there, fully involved the whole time… you can tell they genuinely enjoyed playing with Romy and keeping her entertained, not just “watching” her. It honestly feels like, for them, this isn’t simply dog sitting as a job, they really want the dog to have the best time ever. And that’s such a huge thing for any owner, but especially when you’ve got a young puppy and you just want to know they’re happy, settled, and having fun. We’ll definitely be booking again.”

About: I have had animals since forever, I can’t imagine life without them. I have a lot of love, time and energy for any furry creature I meet! We live in a gorgeous village in the countryside and can offer your pets beautiful walks with lovely surroundings and cuddles by the fire in our cottage. My partner and I are home 24/7, as well as our malinois/husky Otto, who is desperate to make new friends! We take him to a large park near our house for at least 1hr a day, and often go to the beach, river or forest on the weekends for a long walk and of course a game of fetch! Our house is very dog/puppy safe with a good sized secure garden, furniture that is animal friendly and set up for cuddles. We have a car and easy access to local parks, rivers and lovely walks around the village.

About: I’m a reliable, calm, trusted dog owner & sitter with experience of small & large breeds. I have had dogs all my life and grew up with dogs in the household. I have trained my own dog to a very high standard of recall and manners, and he gets along with all other dogs. My calm & confident approach has resulted in a harmonious, calm household that pets I have looked after settle into quickly. I live a fairly active lifestyle, so we are out and about every day for a nice long walk. We love to walk down along the river weather permitting, and we go to Exmouth a couple of times a week for a good run on the beach. We also like to chill in town at a few dog friendly cafes, where they get lots of fuss, so of course your dog would be with us as much as possible. I live in a garden basement flat with direct access to a large, secure, enclosed garden that they access to all day. The garden is surrounded on all sides by a 7ft high solid brick wall that is escape proof, perfect for the dogs to free roam and play in complete safety at their leisure. I live 50 metres from Belmont Park which we visit several times a day, weather permitting. The park is perfect for dogs to socialise as we have a large group of local dog walkers that meet daily.

About: I've grown up with a variety of pets my whole life and have always been an immense animal lover! Because of this, I am often relied on by friends and family to look after their fur-babies whilst they are away and also have lots of experience house-sitting. I'm at my happiest when I'm around dogs and animals and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I own my own home so I'm therefore very responsible and respectful of whoever's home I'm staying in. I will be sure to follow your instructions regarding pet care and certain things around the house. I currently work full-time Monday to Friday so I would be available to look after your pup(s) from late afternoon on Friday until Sunday evening (or early Monday morning). On some occasions if need be, it may be possible for me to work remotely from your home (if WiFi permits and dependant on your facilities but I would need plenty of notice for this). Over the weekend I will be on hand every couple of hours to give your fur-babies my undivided attention, walkies and play time! I would also be available to pop in for checks and short walks during weekday evenings as well. I have a handsome miniature dachshund who keeps me company while I work from home during the week. I have a fenced and secure garden and have a car seat cover that covers the entire back seat meaning we can go further afield for walks as where we live has lots to offer on our doorstep for a variety of walks and terrain. We tend to go on two walks a day and perhaps a longer, more adventurous one on the weekends.
About: My family got our first dog at aged 10, and our second when I was 17. I have cared for them both since they were puppies- teaching them to wait for food, fetch, lie down and even high five! As my first dog got older, I learnt how to be respectful of him as he didn't want to be played with all the time and was slightly more temperamental. This taught me to be patient and how to be around older dogs. Our second dog is a playful cocker spaniel with bundles of energy, always wanting to go on walks, which I am of course happy to do! I can therefore care for dogs of all ages and of many different natures as each one is unique and special in their own way. I am available anytime between 22nd July and 1st September. If I am unavailable, my sister can usually cover bookings- she is a Uni student studying animal science and bioveterinary course so has lots of experience with animals! I am able to do house visits and am happy to feed, play with or even just sit with the dog to keep them company! I can have pets in my home, but only if they get on with other dogs and small animals. I can do a whole day visit, a quick stop in, or I can take them on walks. I will send pupdates throughout the day of your fur babies so you don't have to stress while you're away from home!

About: I have had dogs all my life from small dogs to medium sized dogs I have fed them given them water bathed them and walked them and if your fur baby gets all dirty I would take them to the bathroom and give them a bath and give them a nice warm bath they would be really nice and clean and I have got a dog and had dogs all my life time when I was growing up so I love dogs I’m also a very happy person and I’m also a kind caring person that would be very happy to look after your fur baby’s I don’t work so I’m always around and available for your fur baby and I will always take good care of them like you do plus I will always be there for them and take good care of them I have had dog’s all my life We have a closed in garden so will keep your fur baby safe and sound when in the back garden and if needed have a crate for your fur baby to keep safe or needs a sleep we will all so give your fur baby a nice cuddle and plenty of walks.next to me or my wife on the sofa and they will get a lot of attention from me
About: From looking after multiple dogs, house sitting and using rover to find my doggo Lennie a place to stay when I go away - Rover is brilliant! I have always had dogs, and trained Lennie along with some of his doggo friends. I would love to be able to care for more doggos! I have had multiple dogs stay before and had a great time. I currently have flexibility, whether that’s needing a house dog sitter or walks Monday - Sunday. Lennie can join for walks or I can walk your dog separately. Lennie also doesn’t have to come for overnight stays if preferred no other dog to be there. I am good at noticing dogs behaviours, and having Lennie the place is set up for dogs! All food far away from access, tons of water bowls and fenced garden. Lennie is very good with other dogs in the house, and if I noticed a doggo feeling anxious or unwell I would straight away notify and make sure they are as comfortable as they can be.
About: I have lived with dogs all my life and I enjoy going on long walks with them. I have dog sat and cat sat before. I have even been to a voluntary week long naughty but nice dog training camp. I love spending time with all animals. During my time at university in Plymouth I dog and cat sat and absolutely loved it. I had many different types of bookings over the years. I have looked after cats and dogs from a young age to an adult age. I love walking it makes me happy, I love to be around the countryside and to go out for long walks. I love to sit and watch the water at the hoe or sit in the woods and listen to the trees. I now live in Crediton and have a job as a support worker in a care home but I love dog walking and I miss it. So I'm here to help you when you need it. To walk your dogs and go the occasional drop in on the side of my job caring for people. I have a full time job as a support worker however my I have a lot of spare time between working. I have a car and can drive to give your dog the best walk possible. I offer some drop in services on animals while your at work. If they need a toilet break, feeding, a walk or even just some company while your at work I can make your loved ones time alone feel less long.

I work full-time but over three condensed days, which means I have plenty of time during the rest of the week to dedicate to dog walking, sitting, and giving dogs the attention they deserve. I work full-time over three condensed days, which means I have several days each week fully available for dog walking and sitting. My schedule is known up to 8 weeks in advance, so I can plan ahead and accommodate bookings where possible. On my days off, I usually start the day with a morning walk between 9–10am, lasting at least an hour. In good weather, this can turn into longer outings of several hours, with breaks for rest, water, and lunch. I also provide a shorter, calmer evening walk around 6pm for 20–30 minutes. Dogs in my care have regular access to the garden for toilet breaks throughout the day, and I always ensure a final toilet break around 9pm before settling in for the night. I’m happy to adapt my routine depending on each dog’s needs, whether they prefer longer adventures or a more relaxed pace. I provide a safe, relaxed, and home-from-home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. In my home, dogs are welcome in all areas and can choose where they feel most comfortable—whether that’s on the sofa or in their own bed in the lounge. I have a fully secure, fenced garden with no external access, so they can safely enjoy time outside whenever needed. I don’t use crates, but I may be able to accommodate one for smaller dogs if that’s part of their usual routine. For overnight stays, dogs are welcome upstairs and can sleep on my bed or in the spare room—whatever helps them feel most settled and secure. Although my own dog is not food reactive, I always feed dogs separately to ensure they each eat their own meals safely and at their own pace. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I am very respectful of routines and house rules. I would need to bring my own friendly, well-socialised dog with me, and I’m happy to follow your preferences—whether that’s keeping dogs off furniture or maintaining specific routines.

About: I had dogs all of my childhood and now look after my friends and family’s dogs frequently! I’m caring and patient and I love dogs. I’m currently on summer holidays as I work in a school so have the time to really care for your beloved pet. I live close to The Quay for long morning walks and Barton fields for nice evening walks. I have a walled garden and a good sized open plan downstairs so there is good space for your pet. I’m tidy and like to keep a clean smoke free home.
