“Jack looked after my little pup for the first time. Communication was great from before drop off to pick up. From the moment we walked in it was such a friendly vibe. Zuri felt right at home and we instantly felt comfortable that he’d be happy. He was excited going in and after leaving them the photos we got from Jack throughout the day showed how much fun he had with Jack and his gorgeous two doggy friends, Myrtle and Dex, to play with. The updates were great and communicated well throughout, assuring us Zuri was in the best possible care. Looking after a pup is no easy feat, but Jack got stuck in from the start and did tremendously well meeting Zuri for the first time. He was very warm and Zuri found him approachable right away, he was so settled coming home and you could tell he had a fun packed day. Thank you so much Jack! Will definitely go with Jack again without any doubt!”

“Athena loved going to spend the day with Rachel. Rachel invited us to a Meet & Greet first where she got to spend some time with Athena and discuss her routine, commands and general behaviour. This meant their first day together was smooth, with Rachel updating me throughout with pictures. We will be using Rachel's services again and highly recommend.”

“I booked Winston in with Danah last minute for 2 days of day care. Winston had a lovely time. Danah was brilliant with providing updates and also administered eyedrops for me in the day which was really helpful. I would recommend her and would happily book Winston in with her again.”

About: I’ve had my own dog for 4 years and raised him from a puppy, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. As a dog owner and Rover user myself, I understand the level of care, love and attention every dog deserves. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness always come first, and I’ll make sure they’re treated like one of my own while they’re with me. I also have a real soft spot for dachshunds and specialise in caring for them. I understand their little personalities, their quirks, and the extra love and patience they need. I’ve looked after 4 dachshunds for longer stays and would love to become a regular sitter for owners looking for a safe, loving home-from-home for their dog while they’re away. You can expect a tailored and regular scheduled time to hang out, go for walks at the local parks. Lots of attention provided! We are very active and ratio about 3 to 4 walks a day as we enjoy getting out into the fields and enjoying the day. I provide dog walking, check ins at your residence if needed and I can offer doggy day care and overnight care. I’m available for all kind of specific needs your pet needs.
“We are delighted to have found Jackson to look after our dog. From the moment we met Jackson, we knew we had found the right person to look after our young dog.. Our dog is a little nervous when meeting new people but Jackson has got a calm persona and experience with dogs and it didn’t take long for Rupert to trust him. Jackson is also very accommodating and It was lovely to have updates and photos throughout the day. . We’ve already booked for another day care with Jackson and I’m sure Rupert will drag me to Jackson’s front door 😀. I would highly recommend Jackson in a heartbeat.”

About: We look after either dogs or cats. We live in the city centre and both work from home. There is a gated area at the back of the apartment for your pup’s toilet breaks as required, but we live 5 minutes away from Bute Park and we love going for long walks. We have both grown up around dogs, from gentle giant dobermans to mini Yorkshire terriers. As we both work from home we can both take care of pets twenty four seven, we will take them for walks and so they will never be left at home alone. We are very flexible and can accommodate your pet’s needs. The flat is spacious and there is room for a crate/bed if required. We will make sure to feed them as per their regular schedule.
“Helen and Ade took such good care of Ava, we're so grateful to have found someone that we know she'll love staying with. She clearly had a fab time with them and they obviously loved her too which was so lovely! Thanks both 😊”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and been the primary Walker. I’ve moved away from the family home and therefore always keen for opportunities to walk and look after other pets. I work on a hybrid basis and therefore typically have good availability to dog sit and dog walk throughout the week. I’m happy to have a conversation if there’s certain timings for pet care or schedule that works best for you. I always ensure that any pet is well looked after and comfortable in the pet owner or my home and they’re given full attention. I only walk and care for one dog at a time so each dog gets my full attention and there's no risk of dogs not getting along.
“Emily was a brilliant dog sitter. I think she's a bit of a dog whisperer! Emily was so gentle with Bodhi and she instantly bonded with Emily. It was a hot day but she kept Bodhi cool with a flannel. Great communication all day and filled in the Rover pet card for me. Would definitely ask Emily again to sit for Bodhi, and recommend her to others.”

“We’re very grateful to Lisa for caring for our nine month old pup, Obi. He was very happy with running around William and Dolly and loved his time there. We were kept reassured by updates and photos from Lisa. Highly recommended.”

About: I've had animals all my life. My folks always had dogs when growing up from Great Danes to Dalmatians. They also had pedigree Persians cats, which they bred. So I've helped our cats with their deliveries. Since i lived in my own house. I had 2 cats who lived until they were 18 &1/2, Charlie & 19 &1/2 Chewy, my boys were 6 weeks old when we got them. I'm having a break from getting anymore pets for now. I have had my friends dog Luna come to stay for a night or a few days. Luna is a samoyed breed, like a husky but wider. She's all white & built like a tank 😊 She's really excited for everything & everything & loves spending time at my house. I have a large garden with grass & I have a house, with a front concrete drive. I live around the corner from Jubilee Park, which is great to let dogs off the lead when empty. I leave my back door open so animals can come & go into the garden. Luna loves it she currently lives in a flat & doesn't have a garden. When she comes to mine she has more space & free run of my garden. So that's why I'm calling my service a doggie spa day, they will have a garden, walks, play, space, attention, as well as the normal food & water....edit I moved to a ground-floor flat with a patio garden in October 2025. You are welcome to visit my flat to view or I can send a video of the garden. Ask any questions, if you & your dog are happy then we'll get along great, thanks Diane 😊 As I'm at home daily except Friday and Saturday. I'll leave my back door open to my garden. My garden has grass and plants around the borders. Your pet can come and go as they want. Once I've done some work, I'll take a break and take your dog out to Jubilee park, which is around the corner. We'll have an hour or so depending on the weather in the park. Then we'll come back the slow way via capital retail park and maybe get a hot chocolate from Costa. Then we'll come home and I'll open the back door to my garden again. Then I'll do more work, while your dog shouts at the cats next-door 🤣 When we go out to the park we'll play and if no other animals I'll let your dog off the lead. We'll play catch & depending on the size of your dog will depend on how long we stay out. My friends dog Luna is a samoyed, a Siberian working dog, she's always happy & excitable. You can take her out for hours & she never tires but she loves my garden & shouting at the cats next-door I'll care for your pets like my own. My cats lived until they were 18 &1/2 Charlie & 19 &1/2 Chewy. I had them since they were 6 weeks old. It's heartbreaking to lose them. I would treat your animals like my own with love, kindness& a bit of strictness. I trained my cats that when they had fights that got rougher I would clap my hands loudly & they'd separate & both run off together 🤣. If you have a way to treat or disapline them I will do that. I'm there to make sure your animals are safe, happy & well loved while you are away. I'll send you video & photo updates daily if you want. I know what it's like to go away & leave your pets with someone. I want to help you have a good relaxing holiday and your animals to be happy & carefree while you're gone. When my friend comes to pick up Luna, she was in 2 minds whether to go 🤣. Her owner opened the back door to the car & called her but she stayed next to me 😊 I told her I'd see her soon & go, then she did. I'm just happy she enjoyed herself with me. I hope your animals will feel the same way when I take them into my home or I come to yours.
“Willow is an absolutely wonderful sitter and made our trip to Cardiff so much easier! Despite us being late every single day for pick up for various reasons, she was super reassuring and the photos of Dillon utterly conked out asleep all snuggled up made us feel super secure each day. Dillon also adored flatmate Ffi, so he couldn't have been happier! Highly recommend!”

About: My wife, Nour, lived with dogs most of her life. Her first dog Sweetie, she had when she was 6 years old, then Queen at the age of 11. She learned how to take care of them from a young age with the support of her parents. At the age of 23, my wife got our current dog, Leo. He's a covid dog, with all the covid period "separation anxiety" which I personally think my wife has as well. As a couple we share responsibility of Leo, walking him at least twice per day. Going to walks, hikes, or run on the beach. We love dogs a lot and taking care of animals. My wife works from home and I work a hybrid schedule just a 4-minute walk away, meaning we are able to provide your pet with around-the-clock supervision and companionship. Our routine is consistent and active: we take a long walk before work, a mid-day stroll during our lunch break, and another walk in the evening. Because we are home nearly all day, we can easily adapt to your dog’s specific feeding, walking, and nap schedule to ensure they feel comfortable and right at home. We offer a safe, secure, and fully fenced backyard, perfect for outdoor play and potty breaks. We share our space with Leo, our incredibly chill and well-behaved resident dog who spends most of his day napping. Because Leo is so relaxed, he is a great companion for other dogs looking for a low-stress environment. We prioritize safety and comfort above all else, ensuring that your pet receives constant attention, regular affection, and a calm atmosphere where they can relax and thrive while you are away.
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have over 15 years of caring for them. I’ve looked after dogs for friends, family & through BorrowMyDoggy in London. I work from home full-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for dogs throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine as I’m a very active person. Regular walks, toilet breaks and exercise are already a part of my day! I live in a clean, secure flat and don’t have any pets of my own so your dog will have my full attention. While I don’t have a garden, I’m happy to provide as many toilet breaks, walks & outdoor adventures your dog needs. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your baby with someone else, and I will always treat them with the same care & attention I’d want for my dog (Rosie!).

Emily was a brilliant dog sitter. I think she's a bit of a dog whisperer! Emily was so gentle with Bodhi and she instantly bonded with Emily. It was a hot day but she kept Bodhi cool with a flannel. Great communication all day and filled in the Rover pet card for me. Would definitely ask Emily again to sit for Bodhi, and recommend her to others.

Ernie had a great day with Sophie! She took wonderful care of him and paid close attention to his individual needs, making sure he was comfortable and happy throughout the day. It was clear he had a fantastic time, and he came home relaxed and content. I absolutely loved the photo updates during the day! I’d happily book with Sophie again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and attentive doggy daycare provider.

Jack looked after my little pup for the first time. Will definitely go with Jack again without any doubt!

Anna was absolutely fantastic with Milo today. From the moment we met her, it was clear how much she and her husband genuinely loves and understands dogs and welcomes them into their home as part of the family. Milo had the best time playing non-stop with Bruce, and it was wonderful to know he had such great company throughout the day. Anna was incredibly attentive, keeping a close eye on his water intake and toilet breaks, and making sure he was comfortable and settled. We especially appreciated the regular photo updates, which gave us real peace of mind and showed just how happy Milo was. It was also lovely to see how caring she was during his rest time, ensuring he was comfortable and never far from her. Anna is warm, personable, and clearly passionate about providing the very best care. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter, especially for miniature Daschund’s.

Amelia was great with Bobbi. She was very friendly, flexible with arrangements, and kept us updated throughout his stay. It was clear he was happy and well looked after—so much so that he didn't seem particularly keen to leave when I came to collect him! We'd be very happy to use Amelia again in the future. Thanks again!

Sophie was accommodating throughout and Murphy seemed to enjoy his time there. I was quite anxious about the situation as Murphy is a rescue and has only been with us just over 2 weeks, so it's a relief to know he was safe. The only thing that would have improved it would have been a couple of pictures of Murphy during the sitting to put me at ease. Thank you Sophie.

Excellent care of our cockapoo, lots of photos and videos, home from home setting, lots of walks and attention perfect. It was such a worry for us as he was not used to being away from home. Amar is so kind and gentle even letting him sleep on the bed which he is used to at home. Thank you so much Amar.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
