About: I've been pet and house sitting with my mum since I was a teen. I have experience training puppies, caring for kittens, pet sitting dogs of all ages and have great connections with cats and dogs alike! Couch potatoes or energetic toy chasers, all welcome with me!! I'm a recent University Graduate who's moved home and looking to hang out with some lovely pups. My routine is flexible depending on you and your dog's needs. I live my childhood home with a walled garden only 15 minutes away from Pontypool Park and 4 minutes away from woodlands. I also have experience pet sitting in other homes, always respectful and careful not to interfere with the home or the pet's routines.

About: Hi there, I’m Lolly:) I have been taking care of family and friends dogs for the last 3 years. I have done volunteer work for a rescue centre near me including cleaning out kennels, feeding and walking dogs. I have done pet sitting for family friends, including walking, feeding, grooming and bathing. I have completed a foundation level 3 animal management diploma which included animal handling, behaviour and health I and received a merit. I am at home most of the time caring for my own 2 dogs. Any dogs I sit for will be my priority throughout the duration they are with me. I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly dogs to keep your pup company. I have access to crates should your dog need to be crated and can leave the back door to the garden open so they can come and go as they please. When caring for pets in an owners home I like to know whether the dogs have any house rules and make sure to adhere to any training they are undergoing. I can stick to schedules, and allow as much outdoor time as needed as I love walking and being outdoors with dogs. I currently work on week days but am considering stopping work to dog sit full time! I currently have plenty of time in the mornings, evenings and weekends to give your pup the time they need. I have a fenced garden and 2 dogs to keep your pup company throughout the duration of their stay. I can keep the dogs separate at night and when out of the house to keep all the dogs happy and safe.

My friends have relied on me and I’m growing a client base from neighbours who are looking for a homely stay for their dogs I work from home full time and live on my own so can devote my time entirely to the schedule your dogs needs. With me, your dog is my number one priority so I can support you in providing as close to their home comforts as possible I have a walled garden that is totally secure along with French doors into a tiled kitchen area. Any dog with me has the whole kitchen area to themselves. I have an indoor camera set up to monitor your dog. I live by a canal walk and a cycle path so plenty of walking options. I also drive and live in beautiful mountain areas so can take your dog for longer walks and swims in the local reservoir. I have plenty of dog loving friends so if it’s company your dog is after and plenty of attention I can provide that too. I have a dishwasher and make sure that your dogs feeding bowls are thoroughly washed at the end of their stay. I am set up to provide care for all types of dogs. We have a senior dog that didn't have the best start in life and has always had a distrust of people she dosnt know. We have just done a test run and left oliver to look after her for a day. We are amazed that she was so happy and content with a complete stranger. We now can plan other days out knowing our needy dog is being well looked after. Thank you Oliver, we will be booking your services again.

About: I've always been surrounded by animals my whole life, I've now got my own little tabby cat and rather large but friendly German shepherd, I love being around animals and love taking her out for long walks. The more animals the better for me, my dog isn't very cuddly in fact very independant and sits in a different room to me ... so any animal that loves a cuddle on the sofa is definetly welcome! I work for thr NHS so my shifts change on a weekly basis but happy to help as much as possible :) I range from local walks to long walks in the brecon :D I work shifts withing the NHS, i sadly dont have a routine and my shifts change every week but would definetly be able to help as much as possible . I have a High fenced garden with a 2 bed roomed house. The cat has his safe space upstairs and our dog stays downstairs a lot of the time to ensure she doesn't annoy the cat to much.

Tina was able to help us out with our last minute request Bella. Tina saw quickly that we weren’t local so a meet and greet beforehand wasn’t possible Therefore she suggested a phone call so we were able to introduce ourselves, tell her about Bella and ask any questions. Having had that call with Tina we felt confident that all would be fine. On meeting Tina outside her house our good impressions from the call were immediately confirmed. Tina obviously has a deep love for dogs and knows how to care for them - we wouldn’t hesitate to contact her again if we had a similar need and would recommend her wholeheartedly. Bella enjoyed her time and was very relaxed ..,and we enjoyed talking to Tina and her family..

About: My partner has always been raised with dogs as pets for 20 years, these have ranged from boarder coillies, cocker spaniels, terroirs to Rottweilers. I have alway grown up around family dogs and have loved taking care of them, Our home will be your fur babies home away from home when they stay with us. Bella was the fifth member to our family, sadly we said goodbye to her in May 25. But we would treat your fur babies exactly the same as we treated Bella. Both of our children have been raised around dogs, and love getting involved with caring for them. I predominantly work from home and my partner works a rolling shift pattern so your fur babies will always have company when they stay with us. Bella is set in her ways however we would be more than willing to follow the same feeding scheduling that you implement for your dog. We would welcome your dog’s blankets, toys and beds to make them feel comfortable during their stay. We also have space for your fur babies to sleep in their create if needed. We have a large enclosed garden that your fur babies will have constant access to during their stay.

About: Hello! Mark here- a friendly, trustworthy and active dog walker with tons of excitable (or calm depending what’s needed) energy. Im an active runner with experience of daily walks with my 18 month old Lab Daisy where she walks both on and off lead confidently. Having been around dogs my whole life we took the plunge and squeezed Daisy in to our already busy life a year and a half ago where she has thrived from a puppy to becoming the friendliest dog there is. I can provide the same energy, fun and care when looking after and walking your doggos. I can walk your dog(s) individually or bring Daisy along should they want a play pal. I work as a self employed camera assistant which means that when I’m not working I am home and available, my schedule reflects this and you can expect my full attention when your pup is with me. We have a fully fenced garden that our own dog uses to do her business. Our dog Daisy is Very friendly and playful with loads of energy but is also fully crate trained should they get too excited and need to be separated. Our cat Margaret is also used to having dogs around, both mine and my mums and tends to go off and do her own thing. She is also very friendly and a proper lap cat. Our two children are at school during the daytime however when they are home have no problems with the boundless energy of Daisy dog.

About: I adore dogs. I have experience caring for a wide range of breeds, from large dogs like Great Danes, Bloodhounds and Lurchers to smaller breeds such as Chihuahuas and, now, my own French Bulldogs who I co-parent with a family member. So my dogs are with me twice a month. My father brought me up with dogs, he had seven greyhounds and lurches so I’ve always known a home full of dogs. I understand that each dog has its own personality, exercise requirements, temperament and way of communicating, so I always adapt my care to suit the dog in front of me. Whether it's a long walk for a high-energy dog, a slower pace for an older companion, or plenty of play, affection and reassurance, I want every dog to feel safe, happy and loved while they're with me. Dogs are a passion of mine and one of my biggest interests. I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and take great pride in making sure they're well looked after, comfortable and treated as if they were my own. I work from home so I will be at home to give your fur baby my undivided attention! Please get in touch if you have any questions. Thank you, Charlotte Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home and part time, which means I have the flexibility to give dogs the time, attention and exercise they deserve rather than trying to fit them around a busy schedule. Walks, playtime, enrichment and cuddles are all things I genuinely look forward to. I love getting outside, whatever the weather, and I'm happy to tailor each day to suit your dog's routine and personality—whether that's an energetic adventure, a relaxed sniff-filled stroll or simply keeping them company at home. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can also provide plenty of toilet breaks, stick to feeding and medication routines, and make sure your dog never feels rushed or left alone for long. I'll care for them as if they were one of my own, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my own home or in their owner's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, relaxed and loved. I know that every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, favourite activities, quirks and any specific care requirements before they stay with me. I always aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible, from feeding times and walks to play, rest and bedtime. I believe dogs thrive on familiarity, so I make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection and mental stimulation throughout the day, while always respecting the boundaries and training their owners have put in place. Communication is really important to me too. I'll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, settled and being cared for as if they were part of my own family.

What a wonderful doggy day care you provided for Bobby, we can't thank you enough. From the moment we dropped him off we just knew that he'd be in excellent, caring hands. Bobby had lots of play, fun and walks and you understood his need for naps being still a puppy - although a very big bouncy one! Tanya sent lots of photos, videos and messages to reassure us that he was happy and being well looked after. Very highly recommended, thanks again.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,469 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Torfaen. About 85% of Torfaen sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Torfaen commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Wales may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
