They met us at our home first so we could chat and get to know each other properly and then invited us to their beautiful home so we could see exactly where our dachshund, Ralphie, would be staying. They immediately put us at ease, warm, open and welcoming and it was incredibly reassuring hearing them talk about their own experiences with dog sitters, and how they understand just how hard it is to leave your pet when you’re away. While we were away, Janie and Derek kept in touch with daily updates, photos and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear from the way they spoke about Ralphie that they had really taken the time to get to know him and all his little quirks. Seeing him so relaxed, happy and cuddly with them made our worries disappear, especially when we discovered he’d even earned cuddles on their bed! They didn’t just look after Ralphie, they truly loved and cared for him as if he were their own. We came home to a happy, content dog, which says more than words ever could. About: I grew up in a household in which there were always animals around: cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and even stick insects! I am now living with my family and we currently have 3 gorgeous dogs: Molly, Dotty and Maia. I feed them, take them for their walks, play with them, bathe them, trim their claws, and give them any medicines they need. I love animals so much, and joined this app to meet all the pups and cats! I am based in Magor and am currently working in Blackwood 9am-5pm, Monday-Fridays. About: I've taken care of cats for the last 20 years and there was always pets in our household growing up. I currently have 2 cats Loki and Leo who bring lots of joy and test the grounds to ensure their demands are met. Myself and my wife adopted a deaf rescue cat Georgia from a kitten. She was a nervous cat as she was dumped as a kitten and we showered her with love treats and affection. Unfortunately earlier this year we had to put her to sleep and it was one of the most heartbreaking things to have to say goodbye. As our house was too quiet and empty without a pet we got Loki and Leo who have totally different characters to Georgia. I’m a big animal lover and have not only looked after my own animals. Also family members pets as well. My own fur babies have never been crate trained however, they do have their own separate room in my house back in Wales, which they know is there’s. With family members I have used baby gates along with in-house fencing and feel comfortable doing so. I respect the Boundry is already in place by the pet owner, and I’m happy to follow the day-to-day lifestyle that pet is used to. On walks, I am used to both muscles, long leash, short leash and harnesses. I feel comfortable with on leash and off leash walks dependent on the recall training of the dog. I’m also happy to encourage some basic training as I have done with my own dogs over the years.

About: We have been dog owner’s for 5 years and look after 2 wonderful little doggies as well as our family dogs from time to time. We have trained our first dog from a pup and nurtured our second rescue dog to become a lovely happy lady! They both enjoy our home and woodland walks around the area. Im an active runner with experience of daily walks with my 18 month old Lab Daisy where she walks both on and off lead confidently. Having been around dogs my whole life we took the plunge and squeezed Daisy in to our already busy life a year and a half ago where she has thrived from a puppy to becoming the friendliest dog there is. I can provide the same energy, fun and care when looking after and walking your doggos. I can walk your dog(s) individually or bring Daisy along should they want a play pal. I work as a self employed camera assistant which means that when I’m not working I am home and available, my schedule reflects this and you can expect my full attention when your pup is with me. We have a fully fenced garden that our own dog uses to do her business. Our dog Daisy is Very friendly and playful with loads of energy but is also fully crate trained should they get too excited and need to be separated. Our cat Margaret is also used to having dogs around, both mine and my mums and tends to go off and do her own thing. She is also very friendly and a proper lap cat. Our two children are at school during the daytime however when they are home have no problems with the boundless energy of Daisy dog.

I have access to crates should your dog need to be crated and can leave the back door to the garden open so they can come and go as they please. I can stick to schedules, and allow as much outdoor time as needed as I love walking and being outdoors with dogs. I currently work on week days but am considering stopping work to dog sit full time! About: I’ve looked after dogs since I was young, I also had my own staffy when I was 8 years old, he unfortunately passed away at the age of 13. I’ve looked after dogs of all sizes including but not limited to husky’s, chihuahuas and spaniels🐶. I have a huge love for dogs. I’m a big animal lover and have not only looked after my own animals. Also family members pets as well. With family members I have used baby gates along with in-house fencing and feel comfortable doing so. On walks, I am used to both muscles, long leash, short leash and harnesses. I feel comfortable with on leash and off leash walks dependent on the recall training of the dog. About: I have had pets growing up and 14 years experience with dogs. Our dog was a very playful and excited puppy, he grew to be a very large dog so I am experienced with all sizes. I have experience with senior dogs and understand how different it is taking them for a walk compared to a younger dog with lots of energy. I currently work part time so have lots of spare time for walking and looking after dogs. This is the first period of time we haven’t had a pet in 14 years so I have all the time for other dogs now. Over the last few years I’ve also walked my friends dogs when they’ve been away and family dogs when they haven’t been able to. I care for dogs walking them, playing with them ensuring they are happy. I won’t walk dogs in extreme heat as this is not safe for them. Ensure they always have access to water
