“First time leaving my boy for a long weekend, and Chelsea was fantastic, reassuring and attentive at the pre-meet and continued to provide daily updates, photos and videos throughout! My boy was well cared for, and received plenty of love and attention, will gladly book again. Thank you Chelsea, you’re a star! 🌟”

“We can’t recommend Tanya highly enough! She was absolutely amazing with our cat, Luna, during her drop in visits. Luna is usually very shy and wary of new people, but Tanya was so patient and understanding, always letting Luna interact on her own terms. It didn’t take long before Luna was completely comfortable with her, approaching her for attention and even jumping into her lap for cuddles, which is something she rarely does with new people! Tanya was incredibly thorough and did everything we asked during each visit. It was so reassuring knowing Luna was being so well cared for while we were away. We especially appreciated the detailed daily updates, along with lots of photos and videos, which really put our minds at ease and let us see just how happy and relaxed Luna was. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care Tanya gave Luna and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet sitter. We’d absolutely love for Tanya to look after Luna again in the future!”

“Robert followed my instructions perfectly, kept me well updated, and took very good care of my beloved cat, Diego. Thank you for being so attentive, Rob! I’ll be booking Rob again in the future.”

About: I have her pets all my wife from dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs. I currently have two labradors that live with my mum back in Wales. I’m a big animal lover and have not only looked after my own animals. Also family members pets as well. I have looked after many rescue dogs, whether it be walking or babysitting and I’m currently working with my uncles dog which is a rescue who has severe anxiety and is reactive to both people and dogs. My main goal is to make an animal feel comfortable and safe in its environment. I feel comfortable around all dogs, no matter the demeanour and I am more than happy to spend extra time and care building bonds and trust with those dogs that need a little more TLC. I am a uni student and a part-time NHS employee. My hours are very flexible. I choose my own hours within my NHS job. I am free both within the week and on weekend. My own fur babies have never been crate trained however, they do have their own separate room in my house back in Wales, which they know is there’s. With family members I have used baby gates along with in-house fencing and feel comfortable doing so. I respect the Boundry is already in place by the pet owner, and I’m happy to follow the day-to-day lifestyle that pet is used to. On walks, I am used to both muscles, long leash, short leash and harnesses. I feel comfortable with on leash and off leash walks dependent on the recall training of the dog. I’m also happy to encourage some basic training as I have done with my own dogs over the years.
“Fantastic! Dawson came and met Stanley before his first visit alone and he was so attentive. He was patient and understanding to Stanley's needs and would definitely use again! Thanks Dawson!”

Chelsea did an absolute purrrfect job of looking after my cat Belle. I was sent loads of pictures every day and she looked happy and contented. This was the first time I had left my cat with a sitter so I was a bit anxious at first but after this experience I feel very comfortable to book with Chelsea again in the future. Thankyou so much

This is the second time we have booked Chelsea to look after our cats when we're away, she is absolutely fantastic 😊 Daily updates and photos were greatly appreciated and the cats were so happy, well looked after and cared for whilst we were away! If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
