Cannot fault Chelsea in anyway. Always available and happy to move things around to help. She’s absolutely wonderful with my dog and asked if she could take him for a walk. He’s a JRT and I thought reactive but Chelsea reassured me. She’s gone over and above many times. Asks questions before she does anything such as giving him treats that’s she’s bought out of her own pocket. Absolutely fantastic sitter.

We can’t recommend Tanya highly enough! She was absolutely amazing with our cat, Luna, during her drop in visits. Luna is usually very shy and wary of new people, but Tanya was so patient and understanding, always letting Luna interact on her own terms. It didn’t take long before Luna was completely comfortable with her, approaching her for attention and even jumping into her lap for cuddles, which is something she rarely does with new people! Tanya was incredibly thorough and did everything we asked during each visit. It was so reassuring knowing Luna was being so well cared for while we were away. We especially appreciated the detailed daily updates, along with lots of photos and videos, which really put our minds at ease and let us see just how happy and relaxed Luna was. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care Tanya gave Luna and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet sitter. We’d absolutely love for Tanya to look after Luna again in the future!

About: I've had all sorts of pets over the years; dogs, cats, lizards, fish, rats, hamsters, mice... I'm animal obsessed! Apart from being in the process of completing a dog grooming diploma, I don't have any professional experience. But I do have lots of personal experience. I own a beautiful, obedient cockapoo who I adore! And have had pets my entire life. I spend a lot of my time with my 4 year old son & rather than working a typical 9-5 job, I'd prefer to earn some money doing what I love, so here I am. If you want your pampered pets to be equally as loved/played with as when you're home then drop me a message! I look forward to meeting your furry friends (and yourselves)

About: I’ve grown up with my dogs my whole childhood and now have my own as an adult 😊 I’m an experienced raw feeder with the knack for healthy dogs! I love to groom - my Chow Chow Chloe ensures my skills are top notch! I’m confident with Xlarge and small dogs ensuring all needs are catered for! I currently work part time from home. So lots of flexible time to help with your pups! My flexibility means if you need it - I should be able to do it! I have a large fenced garden but sadly won’t be offering home boarding. (A license for home boarding is required by law in wales and I don’t have one for my own home). I’m happy to pop in for a visit with with your pup to feed, walk or just company! I’m also available to sit over night for your pup, I can stay until late and return early or if required for the pampered pup that sleeps in the big bed stay the whole night.

About: I grew up in a household in which there were always animals around: cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and even stick insects! I am now living with my family and we currently have 3 gorgeous dogs: Molly, Dotty and Maia. I feed them, take them for their walks, play with them, bathe them, trim their claws, and give them any medicines they need. I love animals so much, and joined this app to meet all the pups and cats! I am based in Magor and am currently working in Blackwood 9am-5pm, Monday-Fridays. During weekdays, I am able to housesit, free for a short walk before work in the morning and a longer walk during evenings. As my work is onsite, I’m unable to do lunchtime walks. During weekends, I am able to housesit and do walks any time of day. Being a pet owner and also my experience working in the education and childcare sector, I treat health and safety with the upmost importance. I am very observant and will keep a constant eye on your pet, tuning into their behavioural cues. I love being outside, particularly going on hikes- if your dog is also a big walker i’d be happy to take them and bring along everything they need to stay happy and safe!

About: I have her pets all my wife from dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs. I currently have two labradors that live with my mum back in Wales. I’m a big animal lover and have not only looked after my own animals. Also family members pets as well. I have looked after many rescue dogs, whether it be walking or babysitting and I’m currently working with my uncles dog which is a rescue who has severe anxiety and is reactive to both people and dogs. My main goal is to make an animal feel comfortable and safe in its environment. I feel comfortable around all dogs, no matter the demeanour and I am more than happy to spend extra time and care building bonds and trust with those dogs that need a little more TLC. I am a uni student and a part-time NHS employee. My hours are very flexible. I choose my own hours within my NHS job. I am free both within the week and on weekend. My own fur babies have never been crate trained however, they do have their own separate room in my house back in Wales, which they know is there’s. With family members I have used baby gates along with in-house fencing and feel comfortable doing so. I respect the Boundry is already in place by the pet owner, and I’m happy to follow the day-to-day lifestyle that pet is used to. On walks, I am used to both muscles, long leash, short leash and harnesses. I feel comfortable with on leash and off leash walks dependent on the recall training of the dog. I’m also happy to encourage some basic training as I have done with my own dogs over the years.

About: I have always taken care of various pets, mostly friends and families. I've had cats and dogs in my family, both immediate and extended, and I've always enjoyed spending time with them, walking them and playing with them. I would definitely like to take on new challenges also, be it bathing or training and handling difficult pets. I'm currently studying part time so not every day is always free but i'm usually free weekdays and weekends morning, afternoon and evening. Sadly I do not drive so any pet would need to be fairly local. I live in a cosy second story flat near large fields so a dog would be amply stimulated and comfortable in my home. I would follow whatever guidelines that the pet owner would have in their home, so long as it is good for the pet.

About: I have cared for dogs the majority of my life at home, my family dog is currently 13 and weve had him since a new born pup! (We just couldn't bare to part ways) and I make sure his life runs as smoothly as possible, despite his lumps and elderly bumps. I often dog sit for family members whenever I can, often for free as I just love the company of animals and the dopamine their happiness brings! I also volunteer once a month at a local dog trust through a scheme at my current work place. Meaning I've walked dogs ranging from the mammoth St Bernard to the teeny tiny chihuahua. I currently work from home Monday-Fri 8 til 4. I am not required to be at my screen all day so it gives me the flexibility to give almost undivided attention to your pets throughout the day and walk them/feed them when needed. I am free most weekends so can work around your schedule. I currently own a flat with a large bay window with cat safe protectors when the window is open to allow my cat to watch the world go by. I also take her on walks via a harness.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Torfaen

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Torfaen on Rover is £17.25 per Visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 970 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Torfaen. About 92% of Torfaen sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
