“Katie was awesome! We booked her to visit our little bichon 4 times while we were away and she did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is in need of pet care services.”

“Liam and Timmy looked after my two dogs and cat while I was away. It was the first time I had left them with a sitter for more than a day. Liam and Timmy were both amazing put myself at ease and my elderly dogs loved them. They went above and beyond for my dogs and cat. I received pictures each visit which put my mind at ease. They even left me a picture as a gift which I love. These guys were absolutely amazing I will definitely book them again.”

About: Loads of experience being a dog mum to three different breads, different temperaments and different needs to a GSP , Beagle and a Mini Dachshund With a flexible university schedule, I’m often home, making it easy for me to care for my own dogs and look after other fur babies. I assure care, safety and full attention towards my pets and other owners dogs. I’m a great sitter as patient, responsible whilst also keeping the environment clean and comfortable for them. My flexible university schedule means I can spend quality time with pets, and my experience with my own dogs has taught me how to handle different temperaments and needs with care and confidence.
About: I'm back!!! Im back on Rover after giving birth to my beautiful daughter to care for your little loved ones. It's fair to say I have missed my furry friends. Unfortunately we are no longer taking boardings due to having our daughter, but I am willing to help with everything I possibly can to make your pet feel safe and loved whilst your at work, on holiday, working on late or even have some last minute plans. For the ones that I haven't met... I would consider myself a huge animal lover all big and small. Me & my partner have cared for various animals over the years including reptiles, dogs, cats, aquarium you name it... When booking can I please kindly ask after we have discussed arrangements that you confirm your booking as this can affect my diary and the opportunity for other furry friends! Thank you 😀 I will try my best to accommodate as much as I can, as I will be working with Rover along side my SAHM role. So will be available most days come rain or shine, so even on those wet dreary days you dread walking I'm here to help. Please be sure to let us know of your dogs nervous surroundings or allergies. What they love and also dislike And also they're comforts and bad habbits ?
About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my strong background in animal care combined with years of hands-on, real-life experience. I studied Animal Care at college for almost five years, which gave me a solid understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and the importance of proper daily care. Alongside my studies, I have spent much of my life caring for my own dogs and cats, as well as looking after pets for friends and family who trusted and relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their animals while they were away. This experience has taught me how important routine, patience, and individual attention are for keeping pets happy and relaxed. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care. Every pet is different, and I take the time to understand their needs, personalities, and routines so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in my hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. Although I work full time Monday to Friday, I have plenty of free time before and after work, allowing me to give pets the attention, care, and consistency they need. I’m available for boarding on weekdays after 17:00, as well as throughout weekends, when I can dedicate even more time to walks, play, and companionship. My routine is calm and structured, which helps pets settle quickly and feel comfortable in my care. Mornings and evenings are always focused on feeding, walks, playtime, and one-to-one attention, ensuring pets never feel rushed or overlooked. Weekends offer even more flexibility, making them ideal for longer stays, extra walks, and relaxed time together. Whether it’s weekday evenings or weekend boarding, your pet will be welcomed into a safe, caring environment where their routine and wellbeing always come first. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. My home is fully fenced, providing a secure outdoor space where pets can enjoy fresh air safely under supervision. I also have CCTV cameras both inside and outside the property, offering an extra layer of security and constant monitoring for complete peace of mind. While in my care, each pet will be fitted with an AirTag, allowing their location to be tracked at all times. This added precaution ensures that, should the unexpected ever occur, your pet can be located quickly and easily. In addition to these measures, I closely supervise all pets, follow their usual routines, and take time to understand their individual needs and boundaries. My aim is to create a safe, calm, and secure environment where you can feel confident knowing your pet is protected and well cared for at all times.
About: I have experience working with a variety of dog breeds ranging from big to small. Have been brought up with working dogs and family dogs. Available all weekends and most evenings. Available to drop in to check in on your pet or to take care of them for the day Medium enclosed garden in a safe home. About: I once cared for a goldfish named Chuckie for 13 years, and have since taken on my partner's pets (1 dog, 2 rabbits and 4 rats). I regularly feed them and walk Shadow (our handsome husky) and my partner is happy for me to keep doing these. I also help with litter changes and enrichment, and have recently helped with vet care for one of our rabbits, including administering medications. I'm currently out of work and looking to set up a business, so I have lots of time to care for and play with animals of any kind I feed the dog, rabbits and rats regularly, and walk our dog as often as possible. I also help with vet visits when a pet is unwell.

This is my second time booking with Katie, and once again she was fantastic! She took amazing care of my two cats and kept me updated throughout with lots of messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It was clear they were happy, comfortable, and very well looked after. I came home to two very content cats and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommended!

Fabulous service from Liam and Timmi. I'm very sorry I have unsociable cats!! I have felt totally relaxed being away from them and I can't thank Liam and Timmi enough for the expert care my pets have received. Thank you very much. I would definitely recommend Rover, they were so helpful, when I made a mistake with the booking. I would 100% use again.

Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
