About: Hi I'm a current undergraduate Animal Behaviour and Welfare student with a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Throughout my life, I've owned and cared for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, tortoises, turtles, a crested gecko, a conure and the opportunity to volunteer with other small animals in college and various work experience placements, so I would be confident looking after a range of species. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting in the Neath Port Talbot area during weekends, university holidays and bank holidays. As a driver, I can travel through Neath and surrounding areas to provide suitable and reliable care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. My degree and previous work experience placement in a local cattery, pet store and a dog groomer's have helped me expand my understanding of animal Behaviour, Welfare and the individual requirements of each species, which I apply constantly when around every animal. Whether your pet is highly energetic and playful, elderly, or shy, I aim to provide attentive and compassionate care tailored to each of them. I am also Pet First Aid & CPR certified, so able to remain calm under pressure and provide your pets with the best care in an emergency. I understand how important trust is as an animal owner myself when leaving your pets and home in someone else's care. I will always keep you updated, send regular photos of how your pets are doing, follow your instructions carefully to stick to their usual routine as much as possible and treat your pets as if they were my own I look forward to meeting you and your animals! As a student, my availability varies throughout the academic year. I am regularly available on weekends, and available at most weekdays and weekends during university holidays (Easter, Christmas & summer holidays). I can provide dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting during these periods. I am always happy to discuss individual requirements and will always communicate my availability clearly before confirming a booking. Your pet's safety, comfort, and wellbeing will always remain my top priorities. I understand that every animal has its own routine, personality, and needs, and I always take the time to follow owners' instructions carefully, to ensure the best care and wellbeing for your pets. As a Pet First Aid & CPR Certified and Animal Behaviour and Welfare student, I have an understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and recognising signs of stress or illness. I will always monitor your pet closely and contact you immediately if I have any concerns at all. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your property with the same respect I would my own. I aim to maintain your pet's normal routine, provide regular updates and photos, and ensure they feel safe and comfortable while you are away. I am happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to learn about your pet's routine, preferences, medical needs, and any behavioural considerations.
“I found Kotryna to be excellent, caring and very professional. She would contact me with concers and send me regular updates and photos. I completely relaxed whilst on holiday and had the utmost confidence in here. I will certainly use her services again and would highly recommend her She went over and above her remit looking out for the fish as well”

“Lucy was absolutely amazing with my cats ! Detailed reports every day and lovely photos! And also by the end of the week made friends with Viv - which is a big achievement! Thank you so much for taking care of my babies, will definitely ask Lucy again when going away next time !”

About: I'm an animal care professional offering dog walks and drop-in visits for dogs, cats and a wide range of other pets, including rodents, rabbits, reptiles, birds and more, all within a few miles of Cwmavon. Whether your pet needs feeding, fresh water, company while you're at work, playtime, a toilet break, medication (where appropriate), or their enclosure cleaned out, I'm happy to help. Every visit is tailored to your pet's usual routine, so they can stay happy, comfortable and relaxed in their own home. Dogs are my speciality. I'm an IMDT Accredited Dog Trainer and run my own dog training business, so I have a professional understanding of canine behaviour alongside a genuine love of caring for animals. I work with dogs every day, from young puppies to older dogs, including those who may be nervous, excitable or simply need a little extra patience. Understanding canine body language means I can recognise how a dog is feeling and adapt my approach to help them feel safe and comfortable. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk or popping in to care for your pets, I'll treat them as if they were my own. I'll provide plenty of companionship, enrichment and fuss (if they enjoy it!) and make sure they're well looked after until you return. If you're already working on training with your dog, I'm also happy to reinforce the behaviours you're practising, whether that's loose lead walking, recall, settling on a bed or everyday manners. It's a great way to keep their routine consistent while you're away. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pets. That's why I pride myself on being reliable, respectful and keeping you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can relax knowing your pets are safe, happy and in caring hands. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as I work full-time with dogs through my own dog training business. This gives me a flexible schedule, allowing me to plan my day around the needs of the pets I'm caring for. I carefully limit the number of bookings I take on so that every dog or pet receives plenty of time, attention and quality care rather than feeling like they're being squeezed into a busy schedule. I always make sure each pet's routine is followed as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, play, enrichment and plenty of companionship. I'm organised, reliable and communicate regularly with owners throughout their booking, providing updates and photos so they know their pet is happy and well cared for. When caring for a pet, my priority is to make them feel safe, relaxed and cared for while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. I understand that every dog is an individual, so I take the time to learn about their personality, likes and dislikes, feeding routine, exercise needs and any medical or behavioural considerations before every booking. As an IMDT Accredited Dog Trainer, I have a strong understanding of canine body language and behaviour. This means I can recognise when a dog is feeling happy, worried, overstimulated or uncomfortable and adjust my approach accordingly. I always use kind, reward-based handling and never use punishment or force. For drop-in visits, I'll ensure your dog has fresh water, meals if required, toilet breaks, enrichment, playtime, plenty of fuss (if they enjoy it!) and I'll happily reinforce any training or routines you're already working on, such as loose lead walking, recall games, settling on a bed or crate routines. I treat every dog as if they were my own and pride myself on being reliable, trustworthy and respectful of both your pet and your home. My goal is for you to return to a happy, relaxed dog and complete peace of mind while you're away.

About: I’m a uni student and a big dog lover. I have a Jack Russell back home so I know what it’s like to be away from your baby and want the best care for them. I’ve also helped look after my friend’s Jack Russell, so I’m used to high-energy dogs and keeping them happy and active. Our pets are quite literally our children and so I get that pet owners want updates every 5 seconds. I cannot thank and recommend Ffion enough. We usually ask parents to feed and tend to our cat when we go away, however, decided to use Ffion due to her other fantastic reviews and that she was local to us. Communication with Ffion was fantastic, we met face to face before we agreed to go ahead with the booking which put both of us at ease. When we were away I would have regular updates from Ffion and some lovely photos and videos which again put my mind at rest when away knowing she was receiving such wonderful care. I would not hesitate to use Ffion again in the future and would recommend her 100%
Fantastic service! Hywel looked after both my pets while we were away. Even our very shy cat was far happier at home than in boarding. Stuck to regular times, spot cleaned when needed and provided lots a photos of our pets. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ will definitely book again 🙂

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
