“An excellent dogsitter! Nia was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. She introduced Deedee to the other dog there carefully and made sure they felt secure before encouraging them to play (or if they preferred, just lie together). Deedee loves other dogs and had lots of fun running around Nia's lovely garden. Nia also kept me updated on how Deedee was doing throughout the day. I felt relaxed and happy knowing Deedee was being so well-cared for. I'd definitely recommend Nia to anyone looking for great dog care.”

About: Hi, I'm Sam! I'm a 26-year-old long-time animal lover and experienced house & pet sitter based in Port Talbot. In 2022, I embarked on an 8-month trip around Australia with my partner George, most of which we spent house & pet sitting for local people in the destinations we visited - it helped us to get experience under our belt, save money on hotels and get some cuddles in the absence of our own pets. It was an amazing experience and we've since continued keeping people's pets company when they need it now that we're back home. I have more than 20 5* reviews from my experience so far. Some testimonials are below and some feedback is also shown on my profile, but I can send through all of the references I've been given to any interested pet owners - just drop me a message. I've grown up with pets and currently have a border collie called Meg and a grey cat called Daisy, both six-years-old. I'm experienced in administering different types of medication and working with shy, energetic, anxious and complex animals, so I have become highly confident in what I do. I'm a non-smoker, clean & tidy guest, and a fully remote worker so can ensure your pets have all the company they require. NOTE: George often joins me on overnight sits when agreed with the home owner. He loves to help out and has had plenty of experience, as demonstrated in our reviews. However this is completely up to the pet owner and what’s best for your home and pets! My services 🐾Overnight house & pet sitting (at pet's home) - including plant watering, mail collection and household maintenance. Both long and short term sits available. 🐾Dog walking - for as long as the dog requires and at location local to the dog's home (at the dog's favourite walk locations if desired) 🐾Day visits (full day care or quick feeding visits) - including plant watering and mail collection 🐾Day care (AT PET'S HOME ONLY) - sorry, I currently can’t have pets at my home as I’m undergoing renovations. However, I’m very happy to do day care at the pet’s home where agreed with the pet owner. Note that the day care option states it’s at my home regardless due to app settings. What clients said about us: 💬"Samantha & George looked after our dogs and house for 17 days. We couldn't be happier with the love and care they gave our extremely spoilt dogs. They sent us regular photos and updates and it was obvious the dogs loved them too. The house was cared for equally well. They are such a lovely, responsible couple who I couldn't recommend more highly." - Leonie & Phil, Busselton (Australia) 💬"Samantha & George were the most wonderful house sitters - we could not have asked for more from them. Their communication was excellent in the lead up and throughout the stay, sending photos and updates. They left the house in a very clean and tidy condition and our cats were very happy and healthy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking!" - Emma, Cooroy (Australia) 💬"OUTSTANDING... we couldn't be happier with Sam & George. They are lovely people. Our two pups were so well looked after. We returned to a beautifully clean house. What more could you possibly want? Thank you for being caring of our girls and respectful of our home. Highly recommend." - Maxwell, Tugun (Australia) 💬"Samantha and her partner George are an amazing couple, communicating with them was very easy and they are very comfortable people to have in your home. My two dogs clearly loved them and on my return they were very happy and obviously well looked after. My house was as I had left it, probably cleaner, they had washed all their linen and remade their bed. They are 5 star pet sitters and I highly recommend them." - Denise, Byron Bay (Australia) 💬"A truly delightful couple, Samantha & George are pet owners dream housesitters. They are honest, kind, clean & caring with a real love for animals, especially the ones they’re caring for. They kept me updated and took care of all my pets needs. The house was left spotless in my return too…If you are looking for pet/house sitters these guys should be on the top of your list. I only hope next time I need pet/house sitters that they are available. Thank you for taking such great care of my furbabies and my home.. you guys are AWESOME ⭐️🙏🏼♥️" - Maria, Sydney (Australia) 💬"Thanks so much Sam and George for looking after our place and most importantly, Mr Bluey! He was so happy and chilled when we got back it was a great relief- not that we were surprised at all :) Sam and George sent really cute updates about Bluey which really put our minds at ease knowing he was happy and looked after. Can’t recommend these wonderful sitters more and would happily have them again!" - Anita, Melbourne (Australia) 💬"The whole process with Sam and George can be summarised in one word, "easy". They were a dream to have come sit our 2 cats and 2 chickens. They were great communicators, left the house cleaner than they found it, and even took the liberty of washing their bedding (which we didn't ask them too, and was a very nice gesture!). They were great with communication the whole way through, sent us update photos during their stay and let us know when they had locked up and left. Coming home to a clean house and 2 VERY happy cats was a fantastic finish to our holiday. On a logistics note, they were happy to adhere to our feeding schedule for the cats, and kept the chickens water and feed full. It was clear to see the cats had been given ample play time and were not devoid of affection one bit. Also, they emptied/refreshed the litter box, and set out the cat food before they left so we wouldn't have to, which was awesome. Thank you Sam and George, would 10/10 have sit again!" - Jaden, Adelaide (Australia) More references available - message me for more info! I'm a remote and flexible worker so I fit my pet care responsibilities around my day job and work from wherever I am. This means I can be around to keep your pets company throughout the day, maintain regular routines, and take your dogs for the walks they need when they need them. I'm available every day of the week. I conduct meet and greets before the first service to learn about the pet(s), their behaviours, needs and any relevant features of the home itself. This is a chance to learn about their routines, what they eat, and anything else I need to be aware of. I never walk dogs off-lead and I am able to constantly supervise pets when needed.

“I was so lucky to find Susana. My train got changed to a bus replacement - no dogs allowed - so my dog stayed with her for the afternoon. Susana went above and beyond to help me, and took wonderful care of my dog, sending me many pictures, messages and a video. Her address was easy to find too, and convenient to the motorway and a supermarket to grab a late lunch. I would highly recommend Susana, her husband and their beautiful Frenchie, Jasmine. Thank you Susana 🤗”

About: We’ve grown up with dogs and have been around them most of our lives, so we’re very comfortable handling their day-to-day needs. We also regularly look after friends’ dogs, which has given us experience with a range of breeds, temperaments, and routines. We both work from home every day, so dogs in our care get plenty of attention, supervision, and company throughout the day. We’re used to managing feeding, walks, and general care, and we make sure to stick to each dog’s usual routine to help them stay settled while their owners are away. During the week, we both work from home, with one office day each scheduled on different days, ensuring that there is always one of us at home to care for the dog. We finish work at 3pm, allowing plenty of time for an evening walk and attention. On weekends, we are not working, so the dog would enjoy more dedicated time with us, often including day trips typically to the beach. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are a top priority. The property features a secure, fully fenced garden with a padlocked gate, providing a safe outdoor space for exercise and play, including a generous area of natural grass. We are also fully licensed by the local council for dog sitting, meaning the home has been inspected and approved to meet required safety standards. For added peace of mind, we do not own any dogs and never mix pets from different households, ensuring your dog receives dedicated care and a calm, controlled environment at all times.
About: I’ve looked after several dogs and cats in the last few years of varying ages and sizes, both at my home and the owner’s. Most recently, I sat for a very cute Lurcher puppy at his home three days a week, for four months last summer, helping to toilet and crate train him, and playing with him throughout the day while ensuring he got enough rest. I have looked after him on the odd occasion since and he is always very excited to see me. I have also looked after an 11 year old Dalmatian on three different occasions for 3-6 weeks at a time and we have formed a close bond. He feels comfortable in my home and needs quite a lot exercise so we enjoy lots of long walks together. When I first looked after him he could be quite reactive and would pull on the lead a lot, but we have done quite a bit of work together and he is much calmer now. I’ve also had the pleasure of caring for the sweetest 11 year old Miniature Schnauzer on several occasions for a few days at a time, making lots of time for snuggles but also taking her down to the beach where she loves to explore. I’ve also housesat for friends and family, looking after their cats while they were on holiday. My friend’s cats were quite nervous so I was happy to take their lead on how close I got. While they were wary to begin with, they would happily sit with me and let me stroke them by the end of the week. My friends have asked me to catsit again this September. All in all, the fact that owners have trusted me to look after their pets for long periods of time and on more than one occasion shows that I am reliable and will care for your pet like they are my own, with the utmost love, care and attention. The owners have also appreciated the regular updates and pictures I send and I will always make sure to do the same for you. I work from home four days a week and can be flexible on location so am happy to come to yours or look after your pet at my house. I’m available during the week and at weekends for quick drop ins, a full day or for boarding, from one night to several weeks at a time if required. I have a large, enclosed garden for your pet to have a good run around if needed. There are also lots of good walks nearby, including a park and the beach is nearby. I live alone and don’t have any pets or children, so can provide a calm, secure space. My work is quite flexible so I can make time to play with your pet and show them the love and attention they need. Also happy to crate if required.
“Kingsley looked after our dog so well. He sent us photos regularly and kept us informed of their activities. He’s so calm and calming. Our dog was happy throughout.”

About: Hi! I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and more—and caring for them has always been a passion of mine. I’m dedicated to creating a calm, friendly environment tailored to each dog’s unique needs, whether that means following specific dietary requirements, giving extra cuddles, or just providing a steady routine. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and my goal is to make both pups and their owners feel completely comfortable and at ease. 🐶🐾 I currently work part time and have a very flexible schedule, therefore I am able to care for your pup on both weekdays and weekends 🦴🐕 I prioritize safety by following care instructions, using secure equipment, and pet-proofing environments. Trust is built through reliable service, regular updates, and respectful treatment of pets and homes. I maintain a clean, calm, and enriching environment tailored to each pet’s needs. Whether walking, pet sitting, or providing overnight care, I ensure pets feel secure, loved, and comfortable in their familiar or temporary surroundings.
About: I am a newly qualified vet and am having time off before I start working in October. This is just a way of me doing what I love without excess stress. I am currently not working so I can be very flexible with work hours and can work around you. Most weekends I am also available and can do house sitting if needed. Whatever the service required I will make sure that the dog/cat is content and has everything they need including exercise, feed/water provision and any medications if needed.
About: Animals have always been at the center of my life — both dogs and cats are family to me, not just pets. Caring for them isn’t something I switch off from; it’s simply who I am. Every time I go on holiday, I make sure I’m prepared — I’ve even carried a 6kg bag of animal food in my rucksack while hiking up mountains, just to ensure animals are fed and cared for (with photos to prove it). I share my life with my own cat and understand feline behavior deeply, from quiet communication to respecting boundaries. I’ve trained my cat using positive reinforcement, including recall, sit, paw, high five, and spin. I also have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels, always with patience, structure, and love. I currently volunteer at Llys Nini Cattery, where I’m surrounded by cats daily and care for a wide range of personalities — from shy and nervous to confident and playful. Every animal I look after receives the same devotion, respect, and attention I give my own. Special Skills • 🐾 Experienced with both dogs and cats • 🧠 Strong understanding of animal body language & behavior • 🐕 Excellent recall and basic training support • 🐈 Positive-reinforcement training for cats and dogs • 💖 Especially good with anxious, shy, or rescue animals • 🧘 Calm, reassuring presence that helps animals feel safe • 💊 Comfortable with basic medication administration • 🧼 Attentive to routine, hygiene, and enrichment • 📸 Regular updates and photos for peace of mind Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently volunteer at Llys Nini and am not working, as I’m focusing on pursuing my passion for animal care. This gives me a very flexible schedule, allowing me to provide attentive, unrushed care and adapt fully to each pet’s needs. I care for pets both at my home and at the owner’s house, depending on what works best for them. My home has a large, fully walled garden, giving dogs plenty of space to run, play, and explore safely. I provide structured walks, playtime, and mental stimulation, as well as a calm environment for pets to relax. At an owner’s home, I follow their routines closely — feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special needs or medications — to ensure pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I also make sure pets have plenty of attention, affection, and supervision, whether inside or outside, and I always keep their space clean, safe, and enriched so they feel happy, secure, and loved.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
