About: Have had dogs in the family for the last 16 years, having my own dog Jojo for the last 6 years from when he was a puppy. Have looked after other dogs during this time in a casual way but generally have a lot of experience with larger dogs and some experience with small dogs. I’m generally strong enough to handle any dog of any temperament and have trained Jojo fairly intensively. I have been living in the area for 8 years and know a wide range of walks around Carmarthenshire area from Llanelli to Carmarthen and Brechfa I will generally know a walk suitable for any needs local to you. I work part time but have more or less full flexibility with a few days notice to be able to accommodate the needs of your dog. I have a large garden that is fenced. We have no neighbours. My dog Jojo is generally very good with other dogs in the house but should they not get along he is happy to spend time separately.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs since the age of six, and over the years I’ve also gained experience walking dogs of all sizes for other families. I hope this opportunity will allow me to continue working with a wide variety of breeds, which will be invaluable experience as I pursue my goal of becoming a veterinary pathologist after university. I’m currently available throughout the week and weekends, as I’m moving back home from university. This means I’ll be home most of the time and able to give your dog plenty of care and attention. I will be going to Australia in September for 8 months so my account will be unavailable until I’m back home. I have a spacious home with a secure outdoor area, our house comfortably accommodates six people, so there’s plenty of room for play and relaxation. I do have 3 dogs, they will be in the house all the time.

About: With 12 years of hands-on experience, I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, parrots, fish, chinchillas, rats, and a degu. I treat every pet as if they were my own — providing personalised attentive care, playtime, feeding, and affection tailored to their needs. Whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, or small exotic pet, you can rely on me to keep them happy, safe, and well-loved. I’m a student, but animals are my greatest passion and joy in life. I’m highly flexible with my schedule and can always make time for walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays. Nothing brings me more happiness than caring for pets, so I prioritize their needs and happiness every day. Animals mean the world to me, so I give them my full attention and loving care at all times. I treat every pet with patience, respect, and kindness — just as I would children. In my home (or yours), I provide a safe, clean, and enriching environment. I’m happy to walk, feed, play, and offer companionship whenever needed.

About: Welcome to PawsitiveVibeswithBex 🐾 Hi everyone! I’m Bex - and after many years in the hospitality industry, I’ve finally decided to follow my dream and spend my days doing what makes me happiest : spending time with dogs 🐶 Anyone who knows me will know that being around dogs is my ultimate happy place! I have a genuine love for animals ( especially dogs) and feel my happiest when surrounded by wagging tails. When I’m not being fully obsessed and doting on my own staffy, ‘Missy MooMoo’, you will find me volunteering at Cardiff Dogs Home, where I have been walking rescue dogs for over a year. It’s one of the most rewarding experiences - not only heart warming but also a great way to gain hands on experience with different breeds and temperaments. Walking rescue dogs has taught me so much : patience, awareness and the importance of compassion and empathy towards dogs who maybe fearful, reactive or hesitant. Im also not one to shy away from the more ‘difficult pups’ as I believe every dog deserves care and understanding. I’ve recently relocated from Penarth to Pontarddulais and am excited to offer the following services : 🐾DOG WALKING 🐾PET SITTING - at your home only. I do not offer this at my home I’m sorry. Also for cats, rabbits and other small pets. 🐾CHECK IN’S - for toilet breaks, feeding and cuddles! For now, as I am without a car I will be covering Pontarddulais, FForest and Hendy. I pride myself on being kind, compassionate , trustworthy and fun! Your pets are always going to feel happy, safe and like family while In my care. If you want to check out my socials it’s : Pawsitivevibes with Bex on Instagram and Facebook 💕 I’m available 7 days a week at any time of day. I’ve taken up dog walking and pet sitting as a full time job recently. I will follow pet owners instructions of house rules and any schedules for feeding, medication and toilet breaks. I will stick to your pets routine as much as possible to maintain normalcy.

Carys has been great at communicating with me during Bellas first stay with her, lots of photos and updates which was really reassuring. Carys welcomed us both in to her home on Bellas first day which was also reassuring to see where Bella would be spending the day and that it was safe. Carys followed and took note of all Bella info and needs. On Bellas second day, she couldn't wait to get into the house and see Carys and her housemates, she ran up the steps and was jumping at the door! A great sign ?

Amy looked after our golden Suki for the first time this week and I couldn't recommend her enough. The booking was last minute due to a change in work but Amy was able to provide doggy daycare for us. When Suki arrived she was a bit nervous and had an accident, Amy handled this wonderfully and put our mind at ease. Amy also took Suki on two walks seeking permission prior. I was able to ask questions and she kept in contact throughout the day with updates and pictures. I was really nervous leaving Suki with a stranger but would absolutely rebook Amy in the future. Thank you so much, she had a wonderful day ❤️

About: Hi I’m Jacob - I’m a masters student and athlete, who is very passionate and experienced with dogs. I enjoy being outside and keeping active, and would be thrilled to take your dog for walks, and give them the attention they deserve! Small/medium sized dogs, and puppies are my expertise but welcome all ages and sizes. I understand how special your furry friend is to you, and I will treat your pet as my own and give it all the love, care and attention they need! The 2 puppers featured in my profile are currently living up in Scotland with my parents, so won’t be with me when I’m caring for your fur babies. The other 2 puppies held up by the young lady (my mom) are the 2 dogs I grew up with and loved so very much! You’ll receive plenty of pupdates from myself during our time together and I look forward to get to know you and your lovely pets! I am in the final stages of finishing my masters, I work from home and alongside my athletic career, I have plenty of time to devote to your pups in the great outdoors - come rain or shine!!!

I was so lucky to find Susana. My train got changed to a bus replacement - no dogs allowed - so my dog stayed with her for the afternoon. Susana went above and beyond to help me, and took wonderful care of my dog, sending me many pictures, messages and a video. Her address was easy to find too, and convenient to the motorway and a supermarket to grab a late lunch. I would highly recommend Susana, her husband and their beautiful Frenchie, Jasmine. Thank you Susana 🤗

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Carmarthenshire on Rover is £23 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 110 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Carmarthenshire. About 92% of Carmarthenshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Carmarthenshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Wales may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
