Eira was amazing. She responded to my request within a few minutes, which was really helpful as it was quite last minute. My cocker spaniel Hoshi has had a tough time with a slowly healing wound after a paw operation, so still stuck in a cone and boot. It was lovely to see how calm and caring Eira was with her. Hoshi was happy and relaxed from the moment she entered the house, and evidently trusted her straight away. She had a lovely walk to the nearby field and a happy cwtch on the sofa afterwards. Thank you so much x

About: Back in 2018, Bailey joined my family home as a 10-week-old puppy. He’s a Sprocker (Springer x Cocker Spaniel), and I helped train him from day one. He’s now entering his senior years, and I still help take care of him regularly (he lives with my parents). I’m very familiar with the energetic, friendly temperament typical of spaniels and understand the needs of both young and older dogs. My husbands family also has a Cockapoo, and I helped train her as a puppy too. She’s more laid-back and very affectionate, so I’ve had experience with a range of dog personalitiew. from playful and high-energy to calm and cuddly. We’re reliable, caring, and genuinely love dogs. Your pet will be treated like part of the family while they’re with us. My fiancée and I recently moved into our own home after living with family, and while we’re not quite ready to commit to getting a dog of our own—mostly due to long travel periods—we really miss having a dog around every day. Pet sitting is the perfect way for us to enjoy the company of dogs while giving them a loving home away from home. I work remotely, so am in the house most of the days Monday-Friday and partially over weekends, depending on our plans. My job is also fully flexible, so I can step away from the laptop at any time to play, walk and spend time with your furry friend. Our garden is fully fenced in, with both patio and grass. However the garden is tiered and there are 6 steps between the ground patio and the grass. Happy to assist any senior dogs to the grass area if needed (depending on size). We have no other animals in the house.

About: I have had pets all my life. Taking care of big dogs, cats and many other small animals. I am responsible and kind, I have a clean drivers license and a willing to travel. I am often available with an empty schedule and want to spend some more time with animals and nature. I am currently a post graduate looking to begin a career, meaning I have a lot of time to give to your pet love and attention. I have lots of availability and am free to board almost every day. I currently live in a large farmhouse surrounded by countryside, which has a large fenced garden, so plenty of room for your pet to run and play with me.

Every sloppy kiss and tail wag reminds me of why they are my source of happiness 🥺 I have grown up with dogs my entire life and have learned their routines and their high energy levels! I have taken care of friends and families dogs for the longest time. Since losing my dog Rio, I have missed the love and the joy of having a dog around me constantly. Wherever Rio was, I was there too. I would love to be able to give your dog the cuddles and attention that they need and deserve🥰 🌟Meet & Greets available 🌟Updates with photos/videos I am currently free all throughout summer and I will be returning to the university of Bristol in September, but for the holidays I am able to give all my time away to pet care and companionship for your dog. About: Looking after dogs has always been a passion of mine, having grown up with family dogs and now caring for two of my own. I love spending time with them, from cuddles on the sofa to long walks in the park. Training is also something I enjoy, ensuring that they are well-behaved and happy. When I look after your dog, I will treat them as if they were my own, providing them with the same love, care, and attention they deserve. I have experience caring for both old and young dogs. With older dogs, I understand the importance of gentle care, patience, and adapting to their slower pace. For young dogs, I focus on providing plenty of playtime, training, and energy outlet. Whether it's a senior dog needing extra comfort or a puppy full of energy, I'm attentive to their unique needs at every stage of life. I’m a school teacher, so i am free throughout the summer, half terms and weekends. I will try my best to meet your needs and if needed to, can do during term time too. When looking after someone’s dog, safety and trust are my top priorities. I ensure a secure environment, follow your care instructions closely, and keep a watchful eye on your dog's well-being. You can trust that your dog will be treated with the utmost care, just as I would my own.

About: I grew up around a lot of animals and have experience with pet sitting/dog walking for my friends and family since I was 16. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and other animals since I was 6 years old. I am currently unemployed therefore I am available from Monday - Sunday. I don’t have any children or other responsibilities so my schedule is always open and flexible. I have a big, open back garden with fencing so your pet will be able to enjoy playing in the garden. I live in a safe and quiet area with plenty of nice walks and big fields for your dogs to play and run around in. My partner has 2 friendly dogs that frequently stay at the house if you’d prefer your dog to have some doggy company.

She has been absolutely wonderful with Adis. She has been able to accommodate us very early in the morning, has always been punctual, and is extremely thorough in the care she provides. I really appreciate the detailed notes she takes about Adis’s wees, sleep times, and general wellbeing, as well as the regular updates she sends. Most importantly, I can tell she genuinely loves animals, which is incredibly reassuring. Adis is almost 19 years old and blind, so he needs gentle, attentive care, and she has looked after him so well. I feel very comfortable knowing he is in such kind and capable hands. Highly recommended.

About: We've been housesitting for over 4 years now and have completed 30+ housesits, consistently leaving pets very happy and houses well cared for and clean. We have had the pleasure of taking care of a variety of pets, different breeds and ages, from young and energetic to older and more relaxed. We’ve cared for small dogs (Yorkshire terriers) all the way through labradors, cocker spaniels and up to Rottweiler/ German shepherd cross and a 50kg Greek Shepherd. We now have our own house and a gorgeous cocker spaniel who is just over 1 years old, who is very well behaved and friendly with other dogs. We have a safe fenced garden and plenty of great walks to go on nearby. We're comfortable administering medication, including insulin injections and heart medication, and we understand the importance of timing to ensure the pets receive their medication on schedule. We love going on long adventures with dogs, exploring new places as well as keeping the pets company around the house. We work from home so will always be around to keep your dog company and we have plenty of time for play time and walks. We also have a 1 year old female cocker spaniel who is very well socialised and loves to play. We live on a safe quiet road with a fenced garden. We have plenty of dog toys already to play with and a big sofa for cuddles!

About: Nijo & Jenny Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up in a home with multiple dogs and cats and have cared for pets for many years. Over time, I have looked after and cared for dogs ranging from small breeds to large breeds, each with their own unique personalities, needs and routines. As a Merchant Navy Officer, I have 2 mo tha rotation, where I am onboard for 2-3 and at home on leave for 2-3 months. During my leave periods, I am home full-time for up to two months at a stretch, allowing me to provide plenty of companionship, exercise and supervision. My wife and I are both passionate animal lovers and regularly help friends with their dogs. Due to my work pattern we are unable to get a dog ourselves currently but we try to compensate that by lending a hand to our friends with pets. We understand that every pet is different, and we strive to provide a safe, loving and stress-free home away from home where pets are treated as part of the family. We ourselves use rover when we go for vacations and understand the situation, we strive to create a second home for your furry friends and would be part of our family. When I am on leave from work, I am available at home full-time and can dedicate my attention to your pet throughout the day. This allows me to maintain their usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, rest periods and plenty of companionship. I enjoy spending time outdoors and regularly visit local walking areas such as Brynna Woods and Smilog Woods. Depending on your dog's preferences and energy levels, I can also provide longer walks, park visits and beach outings. I only accept one household's dog at a time, ensuring your pet receives individual attention and a calm environment. Your pet's safety and wellbeing are my highest priorities. My wife and I live in a spacious home with a secure fenced back garden, providing a safe environment for dogs to relax, play and explore. We also share our home with our friendly domestic shorthair cat, Simba, who is comfortable around dogs that respect her space. Before every booking, I take time to understand your pet's routine, preferences, dietary requirements and any special instructions. My wife is a medical doctor and is happy to assist with routine medications if required, providing additional reassurance for owners whose pets may need ongoing treatment during their stay. I only accept one household's dog at a time, ensuring your pet receives individual attention, plenty of supervision and a calm environment. I will also provide regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, comfortable and well cared for.

There are 558 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Bridgend. About 88% of Bridgend sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Bridgend commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Wales may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
