Due to my work pattern we are unable to get a dog ourselves currently but we try to compensate that by lending a hand to our friends with pets. “She has been absolutely wonderful with Adis. She has been able to accommodate us very early in the morning, has always been punctual, and is extremely thorough in the care she provides. I really appreciate the detailed notes she takes about Adis’s wees, sleep times, and general wellbeing, as well as the regular updates she sends. Most importantly, I can tell she genuinely loves animals, which is incredibly reassuring. Adis is almost 19 years old and blind, so he needs gentle, attentive care, and she has looked after him so well. I feel very comfortable knowing he is in such kind and capable hands. Highly recommended.”

I understand every dog has their own personality, so I will always tailor their care to suit their individual needs, whether they enjoy playing, exploring, relaxing or having their own quiet space.

“Rose was very kind with Eric (a rather nervous cavapoo - initially!). She met us, spent time with us and then Eric was more than happy when I dropped him off with Rose - went straight into her home. He's never done that before on a first daycare. She sent me lots of updates to show that he was enjoying his day. Highly recommended. In fact, I've already booked Rose again to look after 'His Highness'”

About: Grown up with dogs my whole life. I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up but I couldn’t as I wouldn’t be able to do the things they do to animals cause I get so emotional. I did animal care training with ACT and worked with all animals. I’m a stay at home mam so dogs won’t ever be left alone during the day unless I drop my daughter to school which is only 5 mins down the road from where I live so can talk toe dog or dogs with me to drop her off at school then take them for a long walk around my local park I have a small garden with a gate right down to the floor so they can’t escape. They will have free roam of the house (except upstairs)

- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
