I was quite nervous leaving my young dog for the first time but she's been with Solange a couple of times now and is clearly very happy and playful. Solange is great and genuinely loves dogs, they are looked after very well.

About: I am open to discuss the price of longer bookings. I have dedicated a lot of time to educate myself on animal behaviour and training to make sure animals feel comfortable with me. I’m no expert but have first hand experience with a wide range of animal breeds. I’ve completed a lot of sits now with lots of happy customers. I’ve looked after big dogs, tiny dogs, birds, cats and even horses! Making me an excellent choice for your pet . <3 I have recently had a baby (currently 5 months old) so any overnight sits would have to consider him being with me! Currently on maternity leave until November but I have a part time job that is very flexible around my needs and schedule. I work 4 hours either very early in the morning or in the afternoon. Whilst looking after your pet in your home they will be taken on lots of enriching walks and lots of play time to keep them stimulated! An abundance of cwtches and hugs if they are comfortable with me!

Wynne had an amazing first day with Lisa. She sent photos of him out on a walk, with a chew and playing with an interactive toy which he clearly loved. All communication was reassuring and Lisa responded promptly to questions. It was just so easy and she clearly knows a lot about German Shepherds and dog behaviours. We're booking him in with her again and it's a great relief to having such a great service available and a place where Wynne can go for a great day out and have fun.

Jodie looked after him brilliantly and we felt very happy and relaxed that our fur baby was getting the best care. He is already looking forward to his next stay!

Ryan clearly has a breadth of knowledge and experience with a wide range of breeds. This gave us so much reassurance when we left our 18 month old Collie with him, who we'd not long rehomed! We did a meet and greet before hand so our Collie could meet his lovely doberman! We explained our journey so far and he was very accommodating. He sent regular messages, photos and videos of their day together, which put our minds at ease. They have plenty of space so the dogs can have their own space and a nice big garden to explore. We will definitely use Ryan again and we highly recommend him!

About: I adore dogs. I have experience caring for a wide range of breeds, from large dogs like Great Danes, Bloodhounds and Lurchers to smaller breeds such as Chihuahuas and, now, my own French Bulldogs who I co-parent with a family member. So my dogs are with me twice a month. My father brought me up with dogs, he had seven greyhounds and lurches so I’ve always known a home full of dogs. I understand that each dog has its own personality, exercise requirements, temperament and way of communicating, so I always adapt my care to suit the dog in front of me. Whether it's a long walk for a high-energy dog, a slower pace for an older companion, or plenty of play, affection and reassurance, I want every dog to feel safe, happy and loved while they're with me. Dogs are a passion of mine and one of my biggest interests. I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and take great pride in making sure they're well looked after, comfortable and treated as if they were my own. I work from home so I will be at home to give your fur baby my undivided attention! Please get in touch if you have any questions. Thank you, Charlotte Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home and part time, which means I have the flexibility to give dogs the time, attention and exercise they deserve rather than trying to fit them around a busy schedule. Walks, playtime, enrichment and cuddles are all things I genuinely look forward to. I love getting outside, whatever the weather, and I'm happy to tailor each day to suit your dog's routine and personality—whether that's an energetic adventure, a relaxed sniff-filled stroll or simply keeping them company at home. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can also provide plenty of toilet breaks, stick to feeding and medication routines, and make sure your dog never feels rushed or left alone for long. I'll care for them as if they were one of my own, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my own home or in their owner's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, relaxed and loved. I know that every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, favourite activities, quirks and any specific care requirements before they stay with me. I always aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible, from feeding times and walks to play, rest and bedtime. I believe dogs thrive on familiarity, so I make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection and mental stimulation throughout the day, while always respecting the boundaries and training their owners have put in place. Communication is really important to me too. I'll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, settled and being cared for as if they were part of my own family.

About: I am an experienced 22 year old dog lover - up for any challenge! I have 2 dogs myself, both spaniels and one is a cheeky puppy. I also used to have a wolf hound so am confident with larger dogs, aswell as basically adopting my boyfriends dog, a large half ridgeback and half labrador. I have lots of experience now with pet sitting different animals such as cats, dogs, guinea pigs, ducks, hamsters, tortoises, bunnies, bearded dragons, numerous birds and chickens! I have also had many types like kittens, drop in visits, older dogs, pets that need 24h care, pets on medication. So i'm quite experienced and happy to try anything!
I am more than happy to house sit as I have so much free time. I can also offer doggy day care, boarding for one dog at a time or drop in visits. I have a car which can fit all animals so I will pick up/drop them off happily! I promise to keep you updated with many photos and videos of your gorgeous doggies and to love them like my own when their parents are on the holiday that they deserve!
Although I am working from home, if your dog needs my attention it's completely fine as I can work to my own hours. I can pop in for visits as many times a day as you need and I really am very flexible.  I can stay in your house from as little as 20 minutes to 24/7, it's completely up to you! I can walk the dogs regularly depending on what is needed and am fine with multiple dogs at once as I have caring people around me happy to help with walking if needs be. I am happy to feed and give dogs any medication that's needed.
If you have any questions please feel free to message me! I’m currently working self employed - so work from home, on my own hours. So can be with your pet whenever they need me! And for however long. I have a fenced large garden and one very friendly dog. She is quite old so usually just lets the other dog sit down or run around whilst she sleeps. I can be home 24/7 if needed so it’s not a problem!

What a lovely time Skye had at Sonyas. Lots of outside play with her 3 lovely dogs. We picked up a very happy dog but tired from all of the play. So glad we found Sonya as Skye was well cared for and happy. We will definitely use her again. Jo and Skye.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Monmouthshire on Rover is £34.5 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,609 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Monmouthshire. About 86% of Monmouthshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Monmouthshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Wales may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
