About: Hi! I’m an experienced and caring dog lover with over six years of hands-on experience looking after pups of all ages—from playful two-month-old puppies to sweet senior dogs over ten. I’ve cared for many breeds, both big and small, including Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Westies, Bichons, Fox Terriers, and Shibas. Each dog has their own personality, and I always take time to understand their needs, routines, and quirks. I believe walks should be fun and engaging, not just the same old route every day. That’s why, whenever I have time, I love taking dogs on mini adventures—hiking in Red Deer Park, exploring Snuff Mills, playing in the river, or spotting deer and flowers in Clifton. Their happiness is my biggest reward, and I love seeing them explore the world with joy and curiosity. I’m incredibly patient, calm, and gentle, and I treat every dog like my own. I currently live in a spacious, pet-friendly 1b1b apartment with plenty of room for dogs to relax, even larger breeds. Whether your pup loves cuddles, quiet time, or outdoor fun, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. I'm currently a PhD student, but I work from home most of the time, so my schedule is quite flexible. That means I can spend plenty of time with your pets throughout the day I live in a pet-friendly 1b1b apartment that’s clean, spacious, and comfortable—even for large dogs. It’s a quiet environment, which is great for pets who are sensitive or prefer calm spaces. I keep the floors clean and disinfect regularly. If I’m hosting a cat, there’s a 2.2-meter-tall cat tree at home that’s always a favorite. I follow each pet’s usual feeding habits and routines carefully, so they can feel safe, relaxed, and loved during their stay.
“Lyra enjoyed her stay with Laura. We were a bit late picking her up and Laura was very accommodating. Was happy to do a meet and greet beforehand so we knew lyra was going with someone who will look after her well.”

“It was our first time leaving Selma with a sitter and it really couldn’t have been better; Georgia was fantastic at letting us know how she was getting on and sent lots of pictures, and it looks like Sel had the best day ever. She can sometimes be a bit annoying and ‘play with me play with me!’ with other dogs, but it seems she and Ru were BFFs from the offset 🥹 Thanks Georgia and Rupert, Sel will definitely be coming to hang out with you again!”

“G ran straight to Josh the first time we’d ever met him! She looked very relaxed sleeping in the photos and was keen to go back to him again a few days later. Happy dog, happy owner. Thank you Josh!”

“Isabel and Arthur were fantastic with Reggie. The communication was great and they sent some really lovely photographs. When we collected Reggie, he was very happy. We will definitely use them again.”

About: Ive grown up with dogs and other animals living on a small farm and since moving to Bristol I miss them massively. I work from home and do other random part time jobs. I love walks and getting out and about and giving animals attention is my greatest pleasure! If your animal comes to me it will be extremely spoiled. I work part time, but if I’m ever free I would be more then happy to have a dog with me even if I’m working from home I can always go out for walks. I have a fenced in garden with very high walls. A house where they can roam freely and downstairs stays very cool in summer! I also have a bath/shower downstairs if they get grubby and been a wash!!
About: As well as having had my own beloved cavalier, I worked as a dog groomer for five years, and have also worked as a pet portrait artist and a dog walker (and even a gap year in a pet shop). I have had years of experience with a wide range of dog breeds (from puppies to seniors) and understand behaviours very well. I am very caring, calm, sensitive to every dog’s wants and needs, and will provide a home away from home for your beloved pet. I’m currently working from home five days a week. I can take regular breaks to let your dog into the garden or for a walk in the park at the end of the road. I live in a house with a secure patio, and additionally am very close to Victoria Park. The dog can sleep in a crate in the lounge, or loose, or in my bedroom - whatever they are used to. My partner, James, and pup, Zennor, are also here to provide extra love and cuddles!
About: I'm an experienced dog owner, and currently have a 4 year old Miniature Schnauzer who loves to play and gets on well with most other dogs. He's well behaved (mostly) and would love to have another dog to spend time with since our older dog passed away. I work from home, and have a flexible schedule so always fit in morning, lunch and evening walks. My husband Errol is a freelancer so often is at home during the day as well. We love exploring local parks, countryside and dog friendly beaches. Our son is a very calm 9 year old and has grown up around dogs of all shapes and sizes, and he understands the importance of giving pets their space when they need it. I've previously volunteered at Battersea Dogs Home on their rehoming team, and loved getting to know all the dogs and helping to find their forever homes. I also volunteered at Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, walking their older resident dogs on my lunch breaks. I understand that all dogs have different needs and temperaments, and will make sure we can meet your dogs needs. Always happy to chat and see if we are a good fit for your dog :) We walk our dog at least 3 times a day, mostly 4. First thing, lunch time, early evening and last thing. I work from home and am part time. We have a secure walled garden where your dog can roam around, as well as free run of our house. We can easily keep them in one room or use a crate if needed. Happy to feed whatever you usually feed whether that is raw, fresh or kibble and cater to any allergies.
“Alessia was so good with Waldo, we met briefly the day before and he felt instantly happy in her company and ran to greet her when we dropped him offf. Great communication throughout the day and we would definitely book again! Thank you”

I currently work from home and frequently go out for walks during the day to get steps in. I would to have a furry friend keeping me company throughout the day and on my walks. I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for pets in my care. My home features a pet-friendly balcony for fresh air and playtime, ensuring they have space to relax. Olivia was brilliant! She took such great care of my dog and made the whole experience completely stress-free. It’s so obvious how much my dog loves her and spending time with her. She kept me updated throughout, which I really appreciated, and I came home to a very happy puppy. I’d will happily be booking with Olivia again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their dog.

Thank you so much Shivani and Jason for looking after Leo! 😁 Would highly, highly recommend and would absolutely love for them to have Leo again. They were so warm and welcoming and Leo had the most amazing time with them! The photos of his stay were so cute, thanks so much both!

Lenny spent a few hours with Grace yesterday, and couldn't have asked for a better experience! She kept me updated with photos throughout his stay, and the pictures spoke for themselves—Lenny looked completely relaxed, settled and genuinely happy in his surroundings. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Grace to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely caring to look after their dog. Thank you again, Grace!

Shelby was great with our dog Scout, looking after him at her home on two consecutive days. Scout was really pleased to see her when we arrived on day 2 so I know he had a nice time. Shelby was really accommodating with our shifting timings for drop-off and collection and sent cute pictures during the day. I would certainly book Shelby again. Thank you!!

It was our first time using this app and Bethany was so kind and welcoming. She even offered for us to meet beforehand, which was a lovely touch and gave us confidence that Coco would be in safe hands. On the day, Bethany kept us updated with photos and messages, which we really appreciated and made us feel at ease. She has experience with puppies and dogs of all ages and it really showed in how caring and confident she was with Coco. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Bethany again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter in their community!

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
