Lyra enjoyed her stay with Laura. We were a bit late picking her up and Laura was very accommodating. Was happy to do a meet and greet beforehand so we knew lyra was going with someone who will look after her well.

G ran straight to Josh the first time we’d ever met him! She looked very relaxed sleeping in the photos and was keen to go back to him again a few days later. Happy dog, happy owner. Thank you Josh!

Charlotte has been repeatedly sitting for both of my dogs. She is particularly fantastic with Major while caring for him in our home - she has a natural warmth and genuine love for dogs. Major was relaxed, happy, and thoroughly spoilt with attention. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was safe, loved, and in such capable hands – I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Allessia was great with my dog, she was very considerate and professional, and you could tell she adored her. She went out of her way to get to know my dogs needs. She was also very flexible and there was good communication. I’d recommend her as a dog sitter, I’d say she seems a very trustworthy one. I’d love to book her again.

About: Hi! I’m an experienced and caring dog lover with over six years of hands-on experience looking after pups of all ages—from playful two-month-old puppies to sweet senior dogs over ten. I’ve cared for many breeds, both big and small, including Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Westies, Bichons, Fox Terriers, and Shibas. Each dog has their own personality, and I always take time to understand their needs, routines, and quirks. I believe walks should be fun and engaging, not just the same old route every day. That’s why, whenever I have time, I love taking dogs on mini adventures—hiking in Red Deer Park, exploring Snuff Mills, playing in the river, or spotting deer and flowers in Clifton. Their happiness is my biggest reward, and I love seeing them explore the world with joy and curiosity. I’m incredibly patient, calm, and gentle, and I treat every dog like my own. I currently live in a spacious, pet-friendly 1b1b apartment with plenty of room for dogs to relax, even larger breeds. Whether your pup loves cuddles, quiet time, or outdoor fun, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. I'm currently a PhD student, but I work from home most of the time, so my schedule is quite flexible. That means I can spend plenty of time with your pets throughout the day I live in a pet-friendly 1b1b apartment that’s clean, spacious, and comfortable—even for large dogs. It’s a quiet environment, which is great for pets who are sensitive or prefer calm spaces. I keep the floors clean and disinfect regularly. If I’m hosting a cat, there’s a 2.2-meter-tall cat tree at home that’s always a favorite. I follow each pet’s usual feeding habits and routines carefully, so they can feel safe, relaxed, and loved during their stay.

About: Hello! I'm a passionate Animal Scientist with a big heart for pets of all kinds. My journey in pet care began with my degree in Animal Science from UNESP (Brazil), one of the best universities in Latin America in this field, where I specialised in animal behaviour. For over five years now, I’ve been running my own business, "Casa da Zoo," gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of what pets truly need. I’m experienced in a variety of services, including: • Specialised Pet Sitting: I'm comfortable caring for all types of pets—from dogs and cats to exotics—and am skilled in looking after senior pets and administering medications. • Canine Expertise: I offer professional dog walking and training, using gentle and effective positive reinforcement techniques. • Behavioural and Nutritional Support: With my scientific background, I provide professional advice and compassionate care tailored to pets with unique needs. My goal is to give your pet the best possible experience, with lots of love, professionalism, and a true understanding of their individual well-being. I'm excited to be part of the Bristol pet community! I currently have a very flexible schedule and wide availability throughout the week. I’m ready to provide your pet with the best possible care, offering them plenty of attention and comfort whenever they need it. I provide care both in the owner's home and in my own home, depending on what works best for you and your pet. Whether they’re staying in their familiar environment or coming to mine, my top priority is always their safety, comfort, and well-being. Before we start, we'll have a meet & greet to go over their specific routines, from feeding to medication, and I'll follow your instructions to the letter. You can expect regular photo and video updates, so you'll always know your pet is doing great and feeling loved. When staying at your home, I’ll always treat it with the utmost respect and ensure everything remains safe and sound.

About: As an animal lover at heart, I’ve had quite some experience with all kinds of animals. I grew up with a special needs parrot and a dog, so I have a lot of love and care for senior and special needs animals. Any medication they need to take? 🐈‍⬛ Done! They prefer to sleep on the bed beside their human? 🐈 Absolutely! Please note that I have a strict no property damage policy. If your pet does have an accident, I will have to transfer them to another sitter. Thank you :) I’m currently working from home and have plenty of time and space to make sure your pets are happy and well cared for. I’ll adjust my schedule for any special needs they may have! I have a spacious flat near the park and no other pets as of now ;) My place would be perfect for someone who prefers to have all of love and attention to themselves 🐕🐈‍⬛

About: I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs and a lifelong love for them. Growing up, my family and I adopted a small, mixed-breed dog from the streets, and he became a cherished part of our home until he sadly passed away. Dogs bring so much joy to my life, and I’m passionate about spending time with them, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and happy. Currently, I work full-time as an Account Specialist. On weekdays, I’m available to care for dogs and cats after 4:30 PM. On weekends, I’m available throughout the day and can provide care at any hour to suit your pet’s needs. I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for pets in my care. My home features a pet-friendly balcony for fresh air and playtime, ensuring they have space to relax. Since I don’t have any pets in my flat, your furry friend will have my full attention, making it a calm and stress-free experience for them.

She kept me updated throughout, which I really appreciated, and I came home to a very happy puppy. I’d will happily be booking with Olivia again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their dog.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with dogs alongside all sorts of other animals, and even when I went to university in 2019 and couldn’t have pets of my own, I couldn’t let that stop me! I regularly volunteered myself to look after family and friends’ dogs (at first it was often just because I wanted an excuse to spend time with them 😂), which eventually turned into caring for other people’s pets more professionally through word of mouth. I’ve looked after lots of different dogs over the years, from Shih Tzus and Cockapoos to Great Danes, Dalmatians, Labradors, Retrievers and plenty of others. I’ve also cared for puppies, senior dogs and dogs with very different personalities and routines, so I know that there really isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to looking after them. I’m more than happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, whether that means specific feeding times, walks, medication, enrichment, bedtime routines or simply giving them lots of attention and affection. I think it’s really important that dogs feel comfortable and secure rather than having their whole routine changed while their owners are away- they already miss their pawrents enough! I’m also really interested in animal behaviour and communication and spend a lot of my free time reading, researching and watching documentaries and educational videos about animals. I love learning about why dogs behave the way they do and how they communicate, and I’m keen to learn about your dog’s individual quirks, boundaries and needs! I know leaving your dog with someone else can be stressful, so I’ll always prioritise making sure they feel safe, happy and cared for. I’m very happy to send photos and updates throughout the day and communicate as much as you’d like while you’re away! Most importantly, I just really, really love dogs. I love getting to know their individual personalities and will be very excited to meet yours! 🐶❤️ I’m very flexible with my schedule, which means I’m in a great position to prioritise your pet and fit their care around their individual routine and needs. I’m happy to structure my day around their usual feeding times, walks, toilet breaks, playtime and any other care they need rather than expecting them to fit around my schedule. I’m also available for overnight stays and can be flexible with drop-off and pick-up times where needed. As I work from home on my own projects, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention and company throughout the day while still giving them space and quiet time when they want it! I live in a quiet, pet-friendly flat with secure windows and no garden, and my home is fully bunny-proofed (which basically means everything-proofed because rabbits find a way into everything 😂). I’m very happy to have pets stay with me and can be flexible with walks and toilet breaks throughout the day. My two rabbits are kept completely separate from visiting pets unless an owner has specifically agreed otherwise. They have their own secure space, and if they need time outside of it while your pet is staying, they will be kept in a separate room. For walks, I’ll always follow your instructions around routes, length and lead use, and I’m comfortable handling dogs on lead. If a pet becomes nervous or reactive, I’ll prioritise removing them from the situation and giving them whatever space or reassurance they need. If I notice anything unusual or concerning, I’ll contact you immediately and take any necessary action, including contacting a vet if needed. When house sitting, I’m respectful, tidy and careful with other people’s homes. I’ll follow your house rules and instructions, keep doors and windows secure and leave everything as I found it. I’m also happy to take care of things like keys, alarms, post, bins and plants if needed. Before looking after any pet, I’m always happy to go through their routine, boundaries, emergency details and anything else I need to know so I can make sure they’re safe, happy and comfortable!

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a household where my parents had up to 11 dogs at one time, breeding a variety of different breeds, so caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life! Me and my partner now care for dogs regularly through Rover as well as for family and friends, and we’re loving it! - We live in a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom flat in Montpelier, Bristol. The flat is on the second floor with both lift and stair access, and there is a secure, locked communal courtyard with cover on the ground floor. - When looking after pets, I make sure owners are kept reassured with regular photo updates, provide enjoyable walks tailored to each dog, and give them plenty of affection, attention, and care throughout their stay! I’m very mindful of sticking to each dog’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walking preferences, and any specific instructions you provide. - Outside of dog sitting, I work Monday to Friday as a financial planning assistant, with a flexible schedule and the ability to work from home for most of the week. I’m currently studying towards my diploma in financial planning, so I spend a lot of time at home. My partner also works full‑time as an equity analyst and works from home most of the time, meaning dogs are rarely left alone and always have company and supervision. - Should you book doggy day care or boarding during the week, I’ll ensure that both my partner and I are working from home on those days, so your dog will always have company and supervision. - Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. For weekday doggy day care or boarding, I make sure that me and my partner are both working from home on those days so pets have constant company and a consistent routine. Weekends are also very flexible, allowing lots of quality time, walks and one to one care. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences, and any specific instructions from their owner, and I make sure these are followed closely so pets feel relaxed and settled. - I will be with your pet throughout the day. Thanks to flexible working arrangements and working from home, dogs are rarely left alone and always have company. I ensure a calm, safe environment, regular breaks outdoors, and exercise tailored to each dog’s age, ability, and energy level.

Grace and Harry took immaculate care of our two whippets for the morning (and a bit!) when my husband and I moved house. One of the most stressful days in my life was at least made a little less so knowing that my boys were comfortable snoozing, being kept excellent company and came back to us nice and relaxed - far more so than us! Never want to repeat the house-moving experience ever again, but wouldn’t hesitate recommending Grace and Harry as excellent dog sitters.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Bristol

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Bristol on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,694 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Bristol. About 85% of Bristol sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Bristol commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
