About: I have a medically complex elderly cat, im well versed in senior pet care and I know first hand how difficult it can be finding someone who you feel can be not only trusted to look after your best friend but to also safely administer medications and keep watch for symptoms. Equally im great with puppy's and kittens, and able to keep up with whatever training regime you are currently following! Im a uni student on summer break at the moment, I occasionally work as a bartender and pick up ad-hoc work around my schedule, I love being outdoors wether thats lounging in the garden with my cat or going for an amble with a pup! Pet care fits into my daily schedule easily! Respect is key, when looking after a pet in someone else's house I am not only being trusted to look after your pet I am also responsible for your property, depending on whether it is a home stay or drop in expectations may differ but im always up for watering plants! I really like looking after pets in there home, as they are far more comfortable in there home environment and its such a privilege to be able to contribute to that!

About: My experience dates back to when I was 7 years old and my family got our dog, Paddy, and I've loved dogs ever since. I've been unable to get my own dog due to living in shared housing and work hours, so I have dog sat for friends over the years and like to think I have become a go to person! I have experience with small sausage dogs right up to large short haired pointers, and all sizes in between. I take seriously, the owners wishes of how they want their dogs to be treated, never derailing any training, and love showing dogs affection when it's wanted (though I would never push if they aren't a fan!). I like to think that I am a person that you can trust to take care of your dog and would only want you to feel confident that they are in safe hands whilst you are away. I'm available for boarding on the weekends and would make sure my weekend is clear to be fully focused on your dog. I live in a flat, but I have direct access to an outside patio/garden that is secure with a locked gate and high walls. I also live a stones throw from Victoria Park, or, can take your dog down North Street towards Greville Smyth Park. I'm happy for dogs to be on the furniture and, if anything, relish a chance to cuddle up and relax together! In terms of any mid week walks/check ins for dogs, my work days are flexible so I can fit round your needs. I work in central Bristol so can take them through Castle park to get a good walk in. I live in a flat but I have access to a garden which is fully secure with a gate and high walls. In terms of sitting in an owners home, I would be happy to work with whatever they feel comfortable with in terms of security for their dog and the home itself.

About: I have been around dogs my whole life and caring for them is something I enjoy! Back home in Peru, I have a dog whom I have looked after since he was just two months old. Over the years, I have been responsible for his daily care, including feeding, exercise, administering medication when needed, and ensuring he's the happiest dog ever. I am currently on a vacation scheme, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to provide attentive care for your pets. I am generally available throughout the week, including weekends. My priority is to mantain a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment by following your pet's usual routines as closely as possible. I am attentive, responsible, and respectful of both the pet and the home.
“Rafaela took my poodle Otis for near daily walks during a particularly busy fortnight. She was punctual and communicated well. Otis had a good walk and was always happy and tired on his return. She took lovely photos during their walks which was great to see. Would recommend. Many thanks!”

“Thanks Chloe (and your housemates) for looking after Denny while we went to the theatre. It really helped make our day run smoothly. Really appreciate it, thanks again!”
“Great support from Mariana once again when we had a complicated clash between work commitments and a dog groomer’s appointment. As always, she was really helpful, flexible and responsive.”

About: I've grown up around dogs all my life and have extensive hands-on experience caring for them. I was raised with two Golden Labradors, regularly helped care for my aunt and uncle's six dogs on their farm, and spent time with my grandad's dog as well. Being around dogs has always been a big part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy their company, personalities, and the exercise that comes with walking them. I work full time but remotely for the most part in Bristol. Im pretty flexible. Can do most evenings and weekends, and on occasion the odd afternoon as well. I cant have a dog at my own home unfortunately as Im renting. I provide attentive and reliable care in the pet owner's home and while out on walks. I make sure dogs have fresh water, receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection, and that any routines or instructions provided by the owner are followed carefully. I understand the importance of consistency for pets and aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care.

About: I’ve always been around dogs and genuinely love spending time with them. I’m a reliable, patient and caring person who treats every dog as if they were my own. Whether it’s a relaxed stroll or a more energetic walk, I tailor each walk to suit your dog’s needs, personality and routine. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I’m punctual, attentive, and make sure every dog feels safe, happy and well looked after. I am also the proud owner of a Shiba Inu called Suki (you can see her posing in my pictures). I will treat your dog with the same love and care as Suki 🐕 I work full time but am able to fit walks into my lunch break & in the evenings after 4:30pm to 8pm. I am flexible. N/A - I don’t offer dog sitting services only walking. This is so I can keep active and also help those who may not be able to walk their dogs as often as they’d like.
“Amber is great - I would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker. As an anxious dog he has various things that make him nervous and we do training to work with him on this. We did a meet and greet beforehand where she took care to learn about my dog’s personality and training routine. While I’m stuck at work, it’s lovely to see the photos of Bobby having fun on his walk 🐶”

“Belem took the time to come and meet our dog and get to know us before our family holiday. She took our young cavapoo for 11 walks in total while we were away and they bonded brilliantly. My parents really appreciated the help. Whilst away we received some regular updates and pictures which was great as she is our first dog and we all missed her. Highly recommended 😄”

About: Happily will meet you in advance to get to know you and your dog to make sure you’re comfortable for me to look after them. I've been around animals (both dog and cats) my whole life and my parent currently has a 5 year old border collie. I mentally stimulate our dog by playing with him, using his brain with the classic “find it” game, whilst physically stimulating through walks (runs for him) and lots of stick throwing! We had 2 dogs growing up that sadly passed away, one of which was a rescue dog and so I understand how you may need to act differently to make the dog feel comfortable. Ive also got experience with reactive dogs. I understand that there may be triggers so we’d discuss in advance what those triggers may be to ensure any reactions are properly managed for safety of your pet plus anyone or anything nearby. I’ve looked after many dogs ad-hoc including Manchester terriers, beagles and Schnoodles. For these occasions, I’ve stayed at the owners house and kept the house respectable. All of which felt easy in comparison to looking after a border collie! By the end of the day, the dogs are often asleep on my lap (or I sit on the floor with them if the owner doesn’t want their pet to be on furniture!), fed and happy. I’m available often on weekends and I work half days on Friday so I can come in the afternoon from 1pm. Within the week, I work 2 days in the city centre, and 3 days in Filton but have a car for easy mobility. I can go in lunch breaks or after work. My availability is open on weekends but please message as I may be more flexible than my booking availability suggests in the week. If the pet is a bit shy, I would be more cautious and go down to their level to try to bond with it. I speak to the owner to understand do’s and dont’s. And I’d use treats when best placed to celebrate positive experiences and train the dog to have good connotations with certain actions or moments. The main thing about looking after someone’s pet is that you don’t want to confuse the animal. So I would take it on walks when the owner recommends and use the lead in environments that require it (e.g. roads, if they struggle around other dogs).
“Gabi has walked Sylvie twice so far and has done a great job! She’s communicative, professional and is clearly very interested in dogs! I’d highly recommend her if you need a reliable walker 😁”

About: I have been active on Rover for 1 years at for Borrow my doggy prior to that for 8+ years so have had a lot of experience sitting, walking and boarding! I also grew up with dogs and have always been told I have very special bonds with them! I am a part time student (3 days a week 10-1:30) and study very local to my flat so am very flexible when it comes to walking your pooches! I can be available in the mornings, afternoon and evenings :) I am also on Easter break so have even more availability! I have the upmost love for dogs and will ensure their safety at all times, show them lots of love and attention and take them on many walks as I live by lots of lovely parks :) If I were in your home I’d follow any guidance or routine given to me and would do the same as I would in my home in regards to love attention and play! I live and study in Raleigh road so am flexible with days and times, I study Mondays and Tuesdays 10-5, other than that I am free before :) I am devoted to dogs and am readily available to care feed and walk the lil beans! I’ve had experience with all dog ages and can look after all different dogs! However, preferably I’d sit a dog who is able to cope being away from their owners (I understand your doggo will miss you and in their own home it’ll be easier but a stressed dog is not nice to see) therefore guidelines, tips and any current behaviours and potential behaviours that could be exhibited. If you have had sitters before it would be helpful to gain an insight into what your dog is like when you’re not there as it always varies and I want to make sure they feel and know they are safe with me :)
About: I have grown up around loving animals, having family pets. I also have my own cat called Archie who I adore, I adopted him when he was 9 years old and had been abandoned by his owner:( I often look after my friends cats around Bristol when they are away. Sometimes sleeping over to keep them company or just occasional drop ins! i work part time in a pub so only evenings 2-3 times a week. As well as my own lash business. So I often have a lot of free time and work on my own schedule! When I visit my friends home, I feed the pet, change litter tray, play with the pet to give them some stimulation and company and if a dog I would walk them. I have my own cat and he lives like a king to be honest. Him and my flatmates cat have the best lives a cat could have. They get treated better than we treat ourselves.
Bristol dog owners share their Rover experiences
Kerry and Matthew are both really kind and Dexter has taken to them really quickly, which is great! It was a good walk with them both for the first time although Dexter was showing off as well. Thank you both and see you again in the future, I would definitely recommend them to any owner looking for a Sitter / dog walker.

We reached out to Ben on here for Millies first 'out of the family' walk. We are so glad we did! He was on time, and was patient and accommodating with all my rambles. Ben is super calm and his experience really shows putting our minds at ease straight away, just the perfect fit for our pup. Will definitely reach out again :)

To get to know her before an overnight sit in a couple of weeks, Annie kindly joined us on one of Daisy’s walks to to learn all about Daisy’s “quirks” and have a go walking her on the lead. Annie comes across as the sweetest and loveliest person, and Daisy seemed comfortable with her immediately. Once Annie left, Daisy even kept looking back to see where she’d gone! Daisy can’t wait for her next hangout with Annie, who seems to be really understanding not just about staffies but that some dogs need a little extra time to get to know someone before their first proper sit. Thanks Annie and see you soon!

Our dogs absolutely love Catlyn! From the very first meeting, they listened to her straight away, which says a lot. She's wonderfully attentive to their needs, quick to flag any concerns, and keeps us updated with plenty of photos and videos of all the fun they're having together. We couldn't ask for better care. Thank you so much, Catlyn!

Our dog had a great time with Hayley. She has loads of experience with dogs and as she's a vet student, I knew Milly was in safe hands. Hayley came to meet Milly ahead of her first walk and Milly warmed to her straight away. Hayley kept me notified of when she should would be arriving and was on time for her walk. I'd definitely recommend her.
Zoe did a couple of walks with Baxter last week. She responded quickly and was able to accommodate a meet and greet at short notice. Zoe sent a thorough update with photos after each walk with Baxter and even managed to persuade him to go out for a short stroll on a drizzly day.
