About: I'm a gap year student based in Wells with a genuine love for animals of all kinds. I am comfortable and confident caring for dogs of all sizes, cats, rodents, birds, reptiles, and aquatic animals, with past experience. I have completed dog walking work experience, volunteered with the RSPCA, and have experience training and caring for my own pets as well as friends’ animals. I’m currently on a gap year, so I have a very flexible schedule and am available every day of the week for pet sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. I always aim to create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I’m happy to follow any routines, feeding schedules, or special requirements, and I am happy to provide regular updates and photos for extra peace of mind.

About: Growing up animals have always been a big part of my life. Pets of mine have included a dog, three cats, three hamsters, a gerbil and two guinea pigs. Taking care of animals has never been chore but a willing passion to cater to the needs of any animal. Following this passion growing up, I have recently complete degree in animal management. This qualification included regular, day to day tasks such as - feeding, housing, nursing and husbandry activities regarding a wide variety of animals. I currently have no set in stone commitments other than to the animals in my household as I have recently finished my level 3 extended diploma in animal management and care. However, I am eager to devote all my time into caring for animals when ever the opportunities arise. I care for animals of my own and others to the upmost respect and professional standard, following and referring to professional acts and legislations such as the animal welfare act 2006. All legislative factors regarding animals I have studied in great detail whilst completing my level 3 extended diploma in animal management and care.

About: I’ve been surrounded by pets including dogs, horses and cats my whole life. I live on a farm surrounded by 4 dogs and 4 horses and am frequently responsible for their care. I am comfortable caring for any kind of pet, including very young puppies. One of my dogs has had litters, and I am frequently called upon by owners of the litters to pet sit while they are on holidays. I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and am responsible for the majority of dog walking at home. I’m currently on summer holidays from my medical degree so I have plenty of free time all days of the week for pet care. I work every now and again for a weddings company but usually just once a week so my availability is very flexible. This also allows me to be flexible on very short notice. I have lots of experience in pet care as a foundation and will tailor this to your individual pets needs. I enjoy pets company but also am organised in a practical sense to ensure walking, feeding and cleanliness are all optimised for your pet.

About: I’m Lucy, I’m 29 and I have had dogs my entire life. Dogs are a huge part of my life, and we recently lost our family dog aged 14. I have had cats for the last few years and am experienced informally with looking after friends and family’s dogs whilst they are away etc. Dog walking has been a joy all my life and I’m keen to continue doing it, despite losing our Alys recently. I currently work from home and would love the opportunity to dog walk on my lunch breaks or after work depending on what is needed. My job can be demanding so after work is preferable, however I am reliable and would not let you down last minute. I am flexible and keen to fit this in as it means a lot to me. I have a car and am happy to transport if needed, to go to good dog walking areas. I would ensure we discussed safety and any anxieties/quirks your dog has prior to taking them out. A meet and greet is essential so the dog is happy and you are comfortable.

About: I’ve lived with cats my whole life, from strays to kittens, at one point we had seven ! I also have experience house sitting, baby sitting and dog sitting. I’m currently back from travelling and searching for a more permanent job so I can completely work around any schedule needed. I’m happy to cover hours during the day, walks, or overnight stays ! I only offer services currently out of my own home as we have a cat and a tortoise that would be particularly against a canine visitor ! I aim to create a secure and trusted environment so you can travel/work/holiday stress free without worrying about the pets at home :)

About: I have taken care of 2 of my own dogs and 2 cats as, as well as volunteering my local dog kennel charity to help with walking and feeding. I have been on Rover for almost 2 years now and have taken care of many different breeds, shapes, sizes, disabilities and energy levels. I have lots of experience with walking small and large sized dog on short and long walks, feeding when needed, bathing them and ensuring they are all happy, whilst prioritising their wellbeing. My dog, Pecan (passed in 2023) had his leg amputated so I am also used to helping pets with disabilities and I can easily accommodate for any medical issues. I am able to accommodate for any requirements with mornings, afternoons and evenings being the most applicable for my personal schedule. I will prioritise the wellbeing of all pets in my care and make sure they have been taken out enough for toilet breaks, walks and general play time outside. I will always make sure that pets get enough love and attention as this is a priority for me to ensure that all pets are happy. I find it hard to not treat any pet in my care like my own so they will definitely get loads of cuddles and attention. I am able to go take dogs on a variety of length walks as I am a very active person and I love being outdoors. I’m currently working remotely from home so I have lots of time to take care of any pets! Either at home care or on walks, anything suits my schedule as I create my own daily routine. I have a medium sized fenced garden so lots of space to run around if house sitting. I have lots of experience with keeping active dogs entertained, as well has looking after more relaxed dogs as well.

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I’ve had the joy of caring for a variety of pets—dogs, cats, puppies, elderly dogs, hamsters, and even fish! I understand that each pet has its own unique personality, needs, and quirks, and I pride myself on being attentive, patient, and adaptable. Whether it’s taking an energetic pup on long walks, cuddling with a senior dog, or making sure a curious kitten stays out of trouble, I approach every pet with love and care. You can trust me to treat your furry (or scaly!) family members as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Although I don’t have formal qualifications in dog training, I have extensive hands-on experience with animals, particularly in training both cats and dogs with consistent discipline. This has given me a deep understanding of their behaviors and training needs. I currently work a part time job in retail but I am recently working more hours to earn some extra cash. I work 40 hours a week but I am in a position to decrease this if pet sitting really takes off! Most days I will finish my work day at 6pm so I am available in the evenings after 6pm. Thursdays and Sundays are my guaranteed days off so overnight stays are absolutely doable on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Walkies and at home sitting is absolutely doable for me after a work day. I have a 2 bedroom house with a small/medium fenced garden. We have a cat and a dog in our home and our dog is 17 years old so she is being rather intensely cared for at the moment due to recently having an operation on her eye. My cat is indoor/outdoor but very much enjoys his own space and company, loves to roam in the greenery outside our house. Out the front of my house is a large field which gets used by myself and neighbours to let the furries have a run around. Both pets are fed at the same time each day and are fed together, they enjoy eating their dinners together. Padfoot (my cat) is always waiting at the door by 5pm as he knows it’s dinner time!

About: I have owned cats and horses my whole life and have dog sit on Rover for around 2 years. I have received 5* reviews from all owners. I have done walking, day care and boarding for long durations and have loved providing a safe and happy environment for every dog who has stayed. Having owned cats and horses my whole life I have a good attention to detail and make sure to cater to every pets specific needs. I am a patient and kind handler and a true animal lover. My two horses are pictured in the last slide. I am currently in my final year of studying an equine degree at Hartpury University, specialising in horse behaviour and welfare. I come home to Cheddar most weekends, when I am free to look after your pets. My weekday availability varies so please message if you have any out of hours requests and I will do my best to accommodate. I’m fortunate enough to live on a quiet private lane with a secure and gated patio and a small grass garden. We are tucked away from main roads and don’t get any through traffic. When staying overnight in my house I have the option to section off parts of my house with a baby gate or leave open the whole of downstairs which is plenty enough space for a larger dog. My house is very quiet and peaceful and so if your dog prefers a quieter environment they will be more than happy. I also have heaps of cozy blankets but please feel free to bring as many of your own as you like.

Lauren was great. While we were at a wedding in a new area, she walked our dog and also popped back later to let him out for the loo again. She also popped by the evening before briefly to meet him first. She was very friendly and our dog seemed to enjoy her company and playing with her. Recommend.

About: I have had dogs for all of my life up until I recently moved into a flat. I love animals and have particular experience with dogs and cats and have taken care dogs right from them being small to their later years. I am very used to taking dogs on long and energetic walks and can cater my routes to what your dog needs. My current living situation means I am unable to have pets of my own but would like to continue to have dogs around me. I am happy to cater to any animals needs and am looking forward to meeting more dogs through this platform. I offer services of walking, drop in and house sitting. Excited to hear from you, please message me if you have any more questions :) I work during school hours so have plenty of time before or after to tend to your pets. I have also got extended holiday periods throughout the year so am often available! I have worked with a variety of pets (dogs, cats and small rodents) and whatever your animals needs are I will do my best to cater to them.
