Gillian was so good with Ob dog, she was happy to walk him or when it got too warm just play with him in the shade. She was a very efficient communicator answering any messages straight away and leaving us nice photos every day. Obs is going to miss her and we'll definitely be booking again 😊

Stan loved Natalie as soon as she came for his trial walk, which reassured me he was in good hands. I received lots of photos of Stan on his walk and when Natalie left him to go stan wanted to go with her! I feel very happy leaving him in Natalie's care when I go away.

Seb was superb and we really struck gold finding him to walk our dog over the holiday period while we were away. He has vet experience which was great as he was able to also tend to Charlie’s ear issues (above and beyond). We had a pre meet which was great. We got daily updates and I’m told Charlie got so excited looking out window awaiting him each day. Thank you so much Seb - would highly recommend.

Christine was so lovely to me and Ted, I felt that conversation came super easy and naturally. I was kept updated and everything was logged perfectly. I believe she was the perfect match for Ted as he can be a little difficult- he looked so happy ☺️. I will 100% recommend Christine and will be booking again 🫶

About: Hi, I'm Rebecca and I live in Weston-super-Mare with my partner, Ryan. We are both lifelong animal lovers and have shared our lives with dogs since childhood. Over the years, I have cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities, temperaments and individual needs, giving me the experience and confidence to provide personalised care for every dog that stays with us. I have a particular soft spot for Pugs. My own Pug, Pug, passed away a few years ago, and he is one of the reasons I am so passionate about providing the kind of care I would want for my own pet. We both work from home, with dedicated home offices, so your dog will enjoy plenty of company, supervision and interaction throughout most of the day. As with most working households, there may occasionally be times when we need to pop out, meaning your dog could be left for up to a couple of hours, but this is kept to a minimum and we will always discuss this with you before confirming a booking. Every dog is different, so we take the time to understand their individual routine, preferences and personality. Whether they enjoy long walks, playing fetch, joining us for a trip to a dog-friendly café, or relaxing on the sofa for cuddles, we will make sure they feel happy, comfortable and completely at home. We understand that leaving your dog with someone else takes a great deal of trust, whether it's for one night or a longer stay. That's why we provide regular updates, photos and messages throughout their visit, so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, settled and enjoying themselves. Every dog in our care is treated with the same kindness, patience and affection we would give our own. Before each stay, we take the time to learn about your dog's personality, feeding schedule, exercise requirements, sleeping arrangements and any medical or special care they may need. We are also happy to follow any specific instructions, including medication, dietary requirements and established routines, to help your dog settle in as comfortably as possible. To provide the highest level of care and attention, we intentionally keep our boarding numbers low, welcoming a maximum of just two dogs at any one time. This allows us to give each dog plenty of one to one attention in a calm and relaxed environment. We live in a comfortable, secure home just a few minutes' walk from the beach, as well as beautiful woodland walks, parks and gardens, giving your dog plenty of opportunities for exercise, exploration and fun. Before every first booking, we arrange a meet and greet. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your dog's individual needs, answer any questions you may have and help your dog become familiar with us before their stay. We look forward to welcoming your dog into our home and caring for them as if they were our own. If you have any questions, please feel free to send us a message. Pet care is part of our everyday life. As we both work from home, we are able to provide your dog with plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day. As with most working households, there may occasionally be times when we need to pop out, meaning your dog could be left for up to a couple of hours, but this is kept to a minimum and we will always discuss this with you before confirming a booking as we want to make sure our home is the right fit for every dog. Typically they have a walk in the morning, toilet break in the afternoon and another walk in the afternoon/evening followed by a toilet break before bed. This is filled out with playtime, cuddles (if wanted) and trips out. However, we can adapt this depending on your dogs needs and energy levels. We tailor each dog's day to suit their individual needs and preferences, whether that's an energetic walk, a trip to a dog friendly café, or relaxing with us at home. Because we only board a maximum of two dogs at a time, we are able to give each one the time, care and individual attention they need. Your dog's safety and comfort are our highest priorities. We provide a calm, clean and secure home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We only board a maximum of two dogs at any one time, allowing us to give each dog plenty of individual attention and ensuring a relaxed atmosphere. Before every first stay, we arrange a meet and greet so that we can discuss their routine and make sure we are the right fit. We follow each dog's usual schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, sleeping arrangements, medication and any special requirements. Our home is safe and secure with easy access to nearby beaches, parks, gardens and woodland walks for enjoyable exercise and enrichment. We know how important your dog is to you, so we'll keep you updated with regular photos and messages, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away.

About: Hi, I’m Catharine, a Lancashire lass now living in Weston-super-Mare with my partner, Tom. We’re both huge animal lovers and would love to look after your pet 🐾 We live in a detached house with a secure, fully fenced garden, and because we both work from home, your pet will have plenty of company, attention, and cuddles throughout the day. We don’t currently have pets (or children!) of our own as we’re still settling into our first home after recently moving. We’d love a pet of our own one day, but for now we’re more than happy being the people friends and family call when they need someone to look after theirs. We genuinely love having animals around the house. I’ve been animal mad for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs and cats, but my soul dog, Sandie, was extra special. He lived to the amazing age of 19 and was a huge part of my family. We had an especially close bond in his senior years when he became less mobile and relied on me a lot for comfort. Caring for him taught me so much about patience, empathy, and understanding an animal’s individual needs. I’ve done obedience training and even dog dancing with one of my previous dogs, so I’m comfortable with all sorts of personalities, routines, and energy levels. Our home is very peaceful, and we do our best to make every pet feel relaxed and safe. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing in the garden, or snoozing on the sofa after a busy day, they’ll get plenty of love and attention while they’re with us. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I promise to care for them as if they were my own and to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well looked after from the moment they arrive. Please don’t hesitate to message me if you have questions :) I can adapt to your dog’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. I work from home and can be quite flexible with my work. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they have a safe, calm and comfortable environment where they feel part of the family. We have a secure garden for supervised outdoor time, and dogs will receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime and walks throughout the day. I always follow owners’ routines and preferences to help pets feel settled and at home.

About: Hi there! I have taken care of animals all my life, growing up on a farm caring for various species, breeds, sizes and temperaments. Neighbors, friends and family members have all relied on me to care for their animals when away for various periods of time ranging from a simple check in and walk to full round the clock care for months. No matter what your pet needs, I will be able to accommodate! :) My current work schedule allows me to work month on/month off so when I am off work and home, I am fully available all day every day to look after your furry family member :) I live in a quiet area in a semi-detached home with a fenced and gated back garden and a big park around the corner for your pet to run around in! There is also the beach a shirt drive away for extra fun! Note: If your pet requires crating, this is perfectly fine but you will need to provide the crate!

About: My partner and I love walking and would love our own dog. But due to working commitments and being away a lot we can’t have our own doggie so would love to make friends with your doggies and take them out! We often have a foster dog with us but would only bring them along to meet if pre-arranged with you. I work from home during the week but we are free at the weekends to take your fur babies for walks when you are unable to yourself. We do often have our nephew’s poochon with us, but she is a very friendly girl. We’d be able to care for your doggie in our house short term, but happy to visit them in your home and pick them up/bring them back.

About: Hellooo I’m Phoebe, I’m a qualified veterinary surgeon and starting a new role which means I’ll have some days off during the week and weekend. I grew up at a child minders who also had a pet sitting service, so from a young age have looked after anything from hamsters and tortoises to large-breed dogs. I have my own dog and tortoise who I adore! As a vet, I’m comfortable with giving medications at home and following your pet’s routine as closely as possible! I have an attention to detail and am more than happy to give you regular updates and photos. I’ve been working as a vet now for 2 years and starting a new role this summer! I have my own tortoise and dog who I adore. In my new role at work my shifts are constantly changing, which means available dates are not regular. But we can have a chat about what you and your pet need and work out a plan from there! On weekdays I can possibly do drop ins before and after work for cats, so just drop me a message to check dates that aren’t available on my calendar. I believe all pets are different in terms of what they need when their pet parents are away or busy. Sometimes this is a change of environment and other times it’s home stays. Unfortunately since I am in rented accommodation I cannot provide overnight stays, but I can walk dogs and do drop ins for a variety of pets. I can also house sit during the day. Due to my own pet responsibilities, overnight house sitting is not ideal.

About: I understand how stressful and nerve wracking it can be to leave your dog with a stranger, from my own personal experience. Your dog is a family member, and that's why I make sure that every dog I look after is given the best care. I will send daily updates and photos to put your mind at ease so you can see your dog having fun. I have 20 years of experience caring for not just for dogs but, cats, small animals, sheep and horses and would love to welcome your pet into our home! I am currently retraining to be a vet at Bristol university so on the days I am out of the house your dog will never be alone more than 3/4 hours as my partners works from home as an accountant. Along with my own Springer spaniel, yours will get a walk of at least 45mins twice a day or less (dependent on your dogs needs). We go out for our morning walkies at 7am on the beach and then for a lunch time stroll along the promenade at midday after some afternoon enrichment toys at home we then head off out for an evening stroll. It really is a holiday for your pups too! In winter please bring a towel for muddy days and let me know if your pup hates the bath! Let me know if they have any special requirements, if they dislike certain dogs, children etc and how they typically behave when interacting in public. We cannot accept dogs that cannot be left alone without barking or who have a tendency to bark in general in the house. If you are unsure how your dog behaves in other peoples houses or this is your first time leaving them we would prefer to have a trial afternoon with them. We will to stick to your pups home time schedule as best as possible and as there is always someone at home we can accommodate medication times. We usually walk in more secluded quieter areas during first stays while we all get accustomed to each other and learn the behaviour of the dogs. We will always use a lead and exercise common sense when dealing with other off lead dogs. I have experience with reactive/nervous dogs so have an understanding of their needs and extra attention that needs to be paid on walks.

About: For the last thirty five years, I have cared for my own dogs. I have looked after them from a young puppy at eight weeks old through to our old timers, one of whom went blind and needed that extra love and time. I have a large, secure garden for our current two male dogs, a Labrador and a Springer Spaniel. Both are extremely friendly with everyone, including children. I'm at home every day which makes like easier, especially for any dog who may experience separation anxiety. I believe that dogs are precious beings and deserve care and attention when they go on their holidays as well 😊 Happy to host all age of dogs. I'm a retired so at home for good chunks of the day. Having got two dogs, we are well versed in dog needs and care. I have a large secure garden where the dogs can wander around in safety. My home is big enough to accommodate a couple of extra dogs.

About: I’m Lauren, an outdoorsey freelance medical writer living in Somerset. I love hiking, running, exploring in the campervan with my partner Kevin, and of course dogs! I grew up with two springer spaniels so I have been a dog person as long as I can remember. A few months ago I returned from a campervan trip around Europe with my partner Kevin where we met lots of friendly dogs and cats (as can be seen in my photos!), which inspired us to start dog sitting here in Somerset. We have been dog and house sitting via TrustedHousesitters for a barbet and separately for three cockers spaniels (including a crazy 6-month old), doing repeat sits for both. We love dogs a lot and would love to get one of our own, but until the time is right for us, we thought that dog walking and sitting would be a great alternative for now. As a freelancer, my schedule is part-time and flexible - days filled with a mix of dog walking and writing would be perfect. Kevin works in person but may sometimes join the dog walks if they are in the evening. I grew up in Axbridge so I am familiar with walking routes around Somerset. I am a home worker so I am often out on walks and runs myself to break up the day, so it would be great to have a dog join me! My workload fluctuates without fixed working hours so I can be flexible on timings I will of course follow any guidance or preferences from the owner. I will always bring the essentials for each dog and I’m happy to send photo updates and to walk in familiar areas for the dog if preferable. I will also be insured for dog walking before accepting my first client.

About: I truly believe animals are your best friend for life and should be treated no differently than people. I’m hoping to meet new characters through this business! I used to own a bernese mountain dog who sadly passed who was the most gentlest, loving creature ever however I have 2 cats of my own both lead and harnessed trained, they are also trained to come back inside the house after we let them have some garden time on a call command. I’ve taught them to be gentle with new guests and children that sometimes visit our home. I will cater to your pets needs as each pet has a different routine and have different responses to motions. I promise to keep a smile on your little furry friends face whilst keeping them at ease and safe I am 19 I live with my family I have been devoted to animals ever since i was a little kid, they have been apart of my whole life and my only wish is to give back to the pets, as animals have saved my life! I am looking for full or part time work but even if I manage to be accepted into a job; caring for animals has always been my main dream since I was a kid. I am fully flexible with times and dates just let me know! :) I make sure my cats have the right toys to keep them stimulated rather than destroying our furniture. If I meeting a new pet I will always let them come to me first and figure me out. Trust is a slow building process but it’s always worth it!

About: I had a sprocker spaniel called Jasper for eight years, unfortunately he has passed due to cancer. I loved having him around but am no longer in a position to have a dog, so I do a lot of pet-sitting (as I always have done), as I love spending time in the outdoors and with animals. I have worked with many different dogs over the years and have learned so much about dog behaviour and their individual needs. Having owned a very energy rich spaniel I am really passionate about stimulating dogs and making sure they get lots of time in the outdoors to keep them happy and healthy. I also have had three cats in the family growing up and feel very comfortable and confident caring for them also. I really love to spend time with animals and it provides me with much needed down time from by busy degree working towards becoming a doctor. I am familiar walking with dogs that may have additional needs, such as if they are reactive or nervous, just let me know what works for them :) I am always free during the weekday evenings. I also am available on Wednesday afternoons. I often am around during the weekends also and can be flexible to your needs. My schedule changes weekly, so don’t hesitate to ask! I love giving my animals a good fuss, and will always be there for tummy rubs and cuddles if they are! Also through having my own animals I know how to keep them safe at all times. As a medical student I can be trusted and am responsible.

About: I did dog behaviour in college and university. I worked with dogs for over 4 years and fixed an issues owners may have! I work with a positive reward system as dogs progress well with pleasing us. Treats and toys are my thing for dogs I never use tools that could cause potential harm if used incorrectly, I have an assistance dog of my own who is very well behaved and definitely rubs off on other dogs, she’s also a great play friend on long walks! I love to make walks enjoyable and different, including lots of mental and physical stimulation so they go home feeling tired and happy! I do work a part time job but I’m looking else where for something I enjoy a little more at the moment, I’m happy to be pretty flexible happy to take last minute bookings! I care very much about dogs and during dog sitting or walking there safety is my priority, it’s very rare I would leave them in the house on there own unless absolutely necessary but 99% of the time I’m sure even if I have to go out they can come! I always plan ahead so I know what’s going to happen and when, feeding times and routine for a dog is important so I’m happy to stick to any routine to make them feel safe and comfortable

About: I grew up on a farm so I have a lot of experience of being surrounded by lots of amazing kinds of animals. I particularly love dogs and have experience of big and small breeds. I enjoy getting exercise and being outdoors. I can feed, walk, bathe pets with confidence. I really miss my family dog at the moment so I would be so happy to spend time with your dog! I have repeating customers on Rover so know how it all works! I would have hours free before and after work. But most weekends I will be free as well. I will care for your pets in the way you need me to, whether that is making sure they don’t escape from the garden, feeding them regularly, not letting them off the lead etc. I am very patient and pay attention to the small details, so I will take great care of your pet. I’m currently working full time Monday to Friday, and my office is in Weston Super Mare, so if you want me to house sit, as long as it’s in commutable distance to Weston it should be fine. I can do morning and evening care. If I am house sitting for you, your pet will have to be comfortable being alone in the daytime, but I can provide walkies early mornings and evenings. I can do whatever is needed for your pet to be happy and cared for. I am comfortable with administering medication, going for walks and anything your fur baby needs. I can only pet sit in my flat on the weekends as I work in the week.
