Our elderly cocker spaniel, Dylan was very well looked after by Rob and his family. Rob sent texts and photos of Dylan during our weekend away which was very reassuring. He was very well cared for and we can highly recommend Rob. We are booking again for a week away.

Zack looked after Dylan for 10 days and honestly went above and beyond. He kept in touch with me every single day with updates and photos, which made such a difference — I always felt completely reassured that Dylan was happy and settled. When Dylan came home he was super relaxed, calm, and clearly very comfortable in Zack’s care. It genuinely felt like he’d had a proper home‑away‑from‑home experience. Dylan has quite a few quirks and can be a very strong dog who gets nervous in new situations, but Zack handled everything with real experience and confidence. He understood Dylan’s personality straight away and gave him the patience, structure, and calm environment he needs. It’s not easy to find someone who can manage a dog like Dylan so well, and I’m incredibly grateful. We can’t wait to book with Zack again — highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely couple who took amazing care of Max. The weather was really hot when Max was with them and they found really novel ways and games to keep him mentally stimulated when it was too hot to walk. Max lived his time with them and will be using again in the future

Angus certainly enjoyed his first experience of daycare at Joanna's home and got on famously with her own two dogs in the house. Joanna is very obviously experienced in this field and has appropriate safety gates in the house plus a large secure garden area for the dogs to enjoy in good weather. We have therefore no hesitation in recommending Joanna to other dog owners and will certainly be calling on her service again when the need arises in the future. Paul & Jenny Sunderland.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was about 10 years old and have always had a genuine love for animals. Over the years I’ve looked after dogs for family, friends, and neighbours, and I also volunteered at a local animal shelter where I gained hands-on experience working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and basic grooming such as bathing and brushing. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away, so I always aim to give them plenty of attention, patience, and affection. I’m reliable, responsible, and happy to follow any specific routines or instructions your dog is used to. Whether it’s a long walk, keeping them company during the day, or helping them burn off some energy, I’ll make sure they’re well looked after and happy. I work from home a lot and have a lot of weekends spare so have plenty of time to give attention to dogs! I have lots of patience and years of experience with family dogs! I have a fully fenced garden and live on a quiet estate, which provides a safe and calm environment for dogs. Your dog will have plenty of secure space to play, explore, and relax without any safety concerns. I always make sure pets are supervised and comfortable so owners can feel confident their dogs are in a safe and caring environment.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my cat received. She was incredibly communicative and I absolutely loved how she kept me updated during every visit. She was always thoughtful, kind, and very attentive. What I appreciated the most is that she truly understands the worries of cat owners when we are away and missing our cats. About: I guess all I have is a lot of experience handling animals. I graduated as a qualified veterinary nurse in 2023 and now I am actually studying on the veterinary AGEP course at the University of Bristol. A friend told me about this app and I thought it'd be a good idea to relax and de-stress, especially as my dog is sadly no longer with us. Ideally I would be working any time friday, saturday or sunday. I will occasionally be availible during the day throughout the week but never during the evening (apart from friday). In a pet owners home, I would take the pet(s) out at 8am with breakfast at home. After a break to do some work (+/- cuddle time), some brief playtime if appropriate followed by lunch and back to work in the afternoon. In the evening, I prefer to have playtime followed by diner and then an evening walk an hour later. This is all incredibly variable with regards to your pets normal schedule.

About: I did dog behaviour in college and university. I worked with dogs for over 4 years and fixed an issues owners may have! I work with a positive reward system as dogs progress well with pleasing us. Treats and toys are my thing for dogs I never use tools that could cause potential harm if used incorrectly, I have an assistance dog of my own who is very well behaved and definitely rubs off on other dogs, she’s also a great play friend on long walks! I love to make walks enjoyable and different, including lots of mental and physical stimulation so they go home feeling tired and happy! I do work a part time job but I’m looking else where for something I enjoy a little more at the moment, I’m happy to be pretty flexible happy to take last minute bookings! I care very much about dogs and during dog sitting or walking there safety is my priority, it’s very rare I would leave them in the house on there own unless absolutely necessary but 99% of the time I’m sure even if I have to go out they can come! I always plan ahead so I know what’s going to happen and when, feeding times and routine for a dog is important so I’m happy to stick to any routine to make them feel safe and comfortable

About: I had my Reggie from the age of 12 weeks old until he was 15+ years old. He loved attention from people but did not like the company of other cats. He had been through several surgeries in his lifetime so I am experienced in post-surgery care and administering medication orally. He was very much a lap cat and slept on our bed most nights. He tolerated most dogs we boarded and kept himself to himself.

Joanna looked after our boxer Frankie for us - accepting the request at quite short notice when our previous sitter had dropped out unexpectedly. Arranged a meet and greet with her and her dog within a day and then she took care of Frankie for a full day. Great comms and lots of photos and videos of cuddles and play time put our minds to rest, and one tired out and happy pup when he picked him up! Will definitely look to reuse for any future day care needs.

About: Hi, I’m Catharine, a Lancashire lass now living in Weston-super-Mare with my partner, Tom. We’re both huge animal lovers and would love to look after your pet 🐾 We live in a detached house with a secure, fully fenced garden, and because we both work from home, your pet will have plenty of company, attention, and cuddles throughout the day. We don’t currently have pets (or children!) of our own as we’re still settling into our first home after recently moving. We’d love a pet of our own one day, but for now we’re more than happy being the people friends and family call when they need someone to look after theirs. We genuinely love having animals around the house. I’ve been animal mad for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs and cats, but my soul dog, Sandie, was extra special. He lived to the amazing age of 19 and was a huge part of my family. We had an especially close bond in his senior years when he became less mobile and relied on me a lot for comfort. Caring for him taught me so much about patience, empathy, and understanding an animal’s individual needs. I’ve done obedience training and even dog dancing with one of my previous dogs, so I’m comfortable with all sorts of personalities, routines, and energy levels. Our home is very peaceful, and we do our best to make every pet feel relaxed and safe. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing in the garden, or snoozing on the sofa after a busy day, they’ll get plenty of love and attention while they’re with us. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I promise to care for them as if they were my own and to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well looked after from the moment they arrive. Please don’t hesitate to message me if you have questions :) I can adapt to your dog’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. I work from home and can be quite flexible with my work. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they have a safe, calm and comfortable environment where they feel part of the family. We have a secure garden for supervised outdoor time, and dogs will receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime and walks throughout the day. I always follow owners’ routines and preferences to help pets feel settled and at home.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs through family pets for many years, and for the past three years I’ve been the proud owner of two dogs, Teddy and Aya. They’re both energetic, loving, and very social dogs who keep me active and on my toes every day. Caring for Teddy and Aya has given me hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, basic training, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable in my care. They love being around other dogs and especially enjoy playtime, so your pup will always have friendly company. While my experience hasn’t been professional, I truly love dogs of all breeds and sizes and treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m excited to provide reliable, attentive, and loving care and make sure your dog feels happy and at home while you’re away. I’m always happy to send updates, photos, and messages while you’re away so you can see how your dog is doing and feel at ease. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I treat every dog with the same care and love I give my own. I currently work part-time from home, which allows me plenty of time to give your puppy lots of attention, care, and play throughout the day. I’m available Monday through Saturday and can be flexible to meet your pet’s needs. I have a fenced front porch as well as a garden where dogs can enjoy fresh air and supervised outdoor time. Inside the home, dogs are welcome to relax freely and be included in daily activities. At night, I usually allow dogs to sleep in the bed with me for comfort and companionship, but I’m also happy to use a crate if that’s what your dog is used to or if you prefer. I always follow the pet owner’s instructions regarding routines, sleeping arrangements, feeding, and care to ensure your pet feels at home and well cared for.

About: Have always had a dog either within the family or as my own companion. I am now retired and looking for flexible work doing what I enjoy and so walking with a dog or two seems like a good place to start a new chapter. Especially when you can hand it back to the owner when tired (Like grandchildren). I'm retired and so available 7 days a week from early morning to late evening as required. Unless if I have something else booked. When walking your dog they will be kept on the lead and walked at their pace. I will need to discuss their needs and habits with you to stop me being dragged in to local sausage sellers shop.

I work remotely so can sit in your home or mine. I go for walks and love to stay active in the mornings, at lunch and in the evenings. At my house I have a lovely garden which is fenced/ walled and a gate which makes it enclosed. My house is near fields and a woods which are perfect for walks.

About: Had family pets throughout my life and have cared for and walked my friend’s and family’s dogs when needed. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions! 🐾 I’m currently working shifts so have plenty of time to care for your doggo! I’m an early bird, who loves being outdoors. I’m usually out running on the mendips or down the strawberry line. I have a large dog-proof garden with plenty of room to run and play. There are no dogs living at my home so can cater for reactive or nervous dogs too!

We needed to make a last minute trip to a place where dogs weren’t allowed. Looking at everyone on Rover, Jasmine stood out to us because of her experience with dogs especially as she works at the vets! We messaged very early and she replied very quickly, more than happy to help us out! Dropped her off and had pictures sent to show she was happy and even the pick up was good, we had Rosie back very happy! We will defiantly use Jasmine again if we are back in the area 10/10

Stan loved Natalie as soon as she came for his trial walk, which reassured me he was in good hands. I received lots of photos of Stan on his walk and when Natalie left him to go stan wanted to go with her! I feel very happy leaving him in Natalie's care when I go away.

About: Hi, I'm Rebecca and I live in Weston-super-Mare with my partner, Ryan. We are both lifelong animal lovers and have shared our lives with dogs since childhood. Over the years, I have cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities, temperaments and individual needs, giving me the experience and confidence to provide personalised care for every dog that stays with us. I have a particular soft spot for Pugs. My own Pug, Pug, passed away a few years ago, and he is one of the reasons I am so passionate about providing the kind of care I would want for my own pet. We both work from home, with dedicated home offices, so your dog will enjoy plenty of company, supervision and interaction throughout most of the day. As with most working households, there may occasionally be times when we need to pop out, meaning your dog could be left for up to a couple of hours, but this is kept to a minimum and we will always discuss this with you before confirming a booking. Every dog is different, so we take the time to understand their individual routine, preferences and personality. Whether they enjoy long walks, playing fetch, joining us for a trip to a dog-friendly café, or relaxing on the sofa for cuddles, we will make sure they feel happy, comfortable and completely at home. We understand that leaving your dog with someone else takes a great deal of trust, whether it's for one night or a longer stay. That's why we provide regular updates, photos and messages throughout their visit, so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, settled and enjoying themselves. Every dog in our care is treated with the same kindness, patience and affection we would give our own. Before each stay, we take the time to learn about your dog's personality, feeding schedule, exercise requirements, sleeping arrangements and any medical or special care they may need. We are also happy to follow any specific instructions, including medication, dietary requirements and established routines, to help your dog settle in as comfortably as possible. To provide the highest level of care and attention, we intentionally keep our boarding numbers low, welcoming a maximum of just two dogs at any one time. This allows us to give each dog plenty of one to one attention in a calm and relaxed environment. We live in a comfortable, secure home just a few minutes' walk from the beach, as well as beautiful woodland walks, parks and gardens, giving your dog plenty of opportunities for exercise, exploration and fun. Before every first booking, we arrange a meet and greet. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your dog's individual needs, answer any questions you may have and help your dog become familiar with us before their stay. We look forward to welcoming your dog into our home and caring for them as if they were our own. If you have any questions, please feel free to send us a message. Pet care is part of our everyday life. As we both work from home, we are able to provide your dog with plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day. As with most working households, there may occasionally be times when we need to pop out, meaning your dog could be left for up to a couple of hours, but this is kept to a minimum and we will always discuss this with you before confirming a booking as we want to make sure our home is the right fit for every dog. Typically they have a walk in the morning, toilet break in the afternoon and another walk in the afternoon/evening followed by a toilet break before bed. This is filled out with playtime, cuddles (if wanted) and trips out. However, we can adapt this depending on your dogs needs and energy levels. We tailor each dog's day to suit their individual needs and preferences, whether that's an energetic walk, a trip to a dog friendly café, or relaxing with us at home. Because we only board a maximum of two dogs at a time, we are able to give each one the time, care and individual attention they need. Your dog's safety and comfort are our highest priorities. We provide a calm, clean and secure home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We only board a maximum of two dogs at any one time, allowing us to give each dog plenty of individual attention and ensuring a relaxed atmosphere. Before every first stay, we arrange a meet and greet so that we can discuss their routine and make sure we are the right fit. We follow each dog's usual schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, sleeping arrangements, medication and any special requirements. Our home is safe and secure with easy access to nearby beaches, parks, gardens and woodland walks for enjoyable exercise and enrichment. We know how important your dog is to you, so we'll keep you updated with regular photos and messages, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away.

About: Hi there! I have taken care of animals all my life, growing up on a farm caring for various species, breeds, sizes and temperaments. Neighbors, friends and family members have all relied on me to care for their animals when away for various periods of time ranging from a simple check in and walk to full round the clock care for months. No matter what your pet needs, I will be able to accommodate! :) My current work schedule allows me to work month on/month off so when I am off work and home, I am fully available all day every day to look after your furry family member :) I live in a quiet area in a semi-detached home with a fenced and gated back garden and a big park around the corner for your pet to run around in! There is also the beach a shirt drive away for extra fun! Note: If your pet requires crating, this is perfectly fine but you will need to provide the crate!

Seb was superb and we really struck gold finding him to walk our dog over the holiday period while we were away. He has vet experience which was great as he was able to also tend to Charlie’s ear issues (above and beyond). We had a pre meet which was great. We got daily updates and I’m told Charlie got so excited looking out window awaiting him each day. Thank you so much Seb - would highly recommend.

About: My partner and I love walking and would love our own dog. But due to working commitments and being away a lot we can’t have our own doggie so would love to make friends with your doggies and take them out! We often have a foster dog with us but would only bring them along to meet if pre-arranged with you. I work from home during the week but we are free at the weekends to take your fur babies for walks when you are unable to yourself. We do often have our nephew’s poochon with us, but she is a very friendly girl. We’d be able to care for your doggie in our house short term, but happy to visit them in your home and pick them up/bring them back.

About: For the last thirty five years, I have cared for my own dogs. I have looked after them from a young puppy at eight weeks old through to our old timers, one of whom went blind and needed that extra love and time. I have a large, secure garden for our current two male dogs, a Labrador and a Springer Spaniel. Both are extremely friendly with everyone, including children. I'm at home every day which makes like easier, especially for any dog who may experience separation anxiety. I believe that dogs are precious beings and deserve care and attention when they go on their holidays as well 😊 Happy to host all age of dogs. I'm a retired so at home for good chunks of the day. Having got two dogs, we are well versed in dog needs and care. I have a large secure garden where the dogs can wander around in safety. My home is big enough to accommodate a couple of extra dogs.

About: Hellooo I’m Phoebe, I’m a qualified veterinary surgeon and starting a new role which means I’ll have some days off during the week and weekend. I grew up at a child minders who also had a pet sitting service, so from a young age have looked after anything from hamsters and tortoises to large-breed dogs. I have my own dog and tortoise who I adore! As a vet, I’m comfortable with giving medications at home and following your pet’s routine as closely as possible! I have an attention to detail and am more than happy to give you regular updates and photos. I’ve been working as a vet now for 2 years and starting a new role this summer! I have my own tortoise and dog who I adore. In my new role at work my shifts are constantly changing, which means available dates are not regular. But we can have a chat about what you and your pet need and work out a plan from there! On weekdays I can possibly do drop ins before and after work for cats, so just drop me a message to check dates that aren’t available on my calendar. I believe all pets are different in terms of what they need when their pet parents are away or busy. Sometimes this is a change of environment and other times it’s home stays. Unfortunately since I am in rented accommodation I cannot provide overnight stays, but I can walk dogs and do drop ins for a variety of pets. I can also house sit during the day. Due to my own pet responsibilities, overnight house sitting is not ideal.

About: I truly believe animals are your best friend for life and should be treated no differently than people. I’m hoping to meet new characters through this business! I used to own a bernese mountain dog who sadly passed who was the most gentlest, loving creature ever however I have 2 cats of my own both lead and harnessed trained, they are also trained to come back inside the house after we let them have some garden time on a call command. I’ve taught them to be gentle with new guests and children that sometimes visit our home. I will cater to your pets needs as each pet has a different routine and have different responses to motions. I promise to keep a smile on your little furry friends face whilst keeping them at ease and safe I am 19 I live with my family I have been devoted to animals ever since i was a little kid, they have been apart of my whole life and my only wish is to give back to the pets, as animals have saved my life! I am looking for full or part time work but even if I manage to be accepted into a job; caring for animals has always been my main dream since I was a kid. I am fully flexible with times and dates just let me know! :) I make sure my cats have the right toys to keep them stimulated rather than destroying our furniture. If I meeting a new pet I will always let them come to me first and figure me out. Trust is a slow building process but it’s always worth it!

About: I’m Lauren, an outdoorsey freelance medical writer and experienced dog sitter living in Somerset. I love hiking, running, exploring in the campervan with my partner Kevin, and of course dogs! I grew up with two springer spaniels so I have been a dog person as long as I can remember. A few months ago I returned from a campervan trip around Europe with my partner Kevin where we met lots of friendly dogs and cats (as can be seen in my photos!), which inspired us to start dog sitting here in Somerset. We have been dog and house sitting via TrustedHousesitters for a barbet and separately for three cockers spaniels (including a crazy 6-month old), doing repeat sits for both. We love dogs a lot and would love to get one of our own, but until the time is right for us, we thought that dog walking and sitting would be a great alternative for now. As a freelancer, my schedule is part-time and flexible - days filled with a mix of dog walking and writing would be perfect. Kevin works in person but may sometimes join the dog walks if they are in the evening. I grew up in Axbridge so I am familiar with walking routes around Somerset. I am a home worker so I am often out on walks and runs myself to break up the day, so it would be great to have a dog join me! My workload fluctuates without fixed working hours so I can be flexible on timings I will of course follow any guidance or preferences from the owner. I will always bring the essentials for each dog and I’m happy to send photo updates and to walk in familiar areas for the dog if preferable. I will also be insured for dog walking before accepting my first client.

About: I’m a dog lover and the owner of a very energetic spaniel, so I’m used to daily walks, playtime, and keeping up with an active dog. I also previously volunteered as a dog walker at Teckles Animal Sanctuary in Gloucestershire, where I had the opportunity to walk and spend time with dogs of different breeds and temperaments. While I don’t have professional dog-walking experience, I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy being around dogs. Their safety and wellbeing are important to me, and I’d treat any dog in my care as if they were my own. I only offer one-to-one walks, so your dog will always receive my full attention and won’t be walked alongside other dogs. This allows me to focus on your dog’s individual needs and helps provide a calmer, safer experience. I’m available today as well, provided I’m not already booked. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. I am available for dog walks during school hours on weekdays, making me a great option for owners who are at work during the day. As a dog owner myself, I understand the importance of regular exercise, routine, and companionship. I aim to provide reliable, attentive care and ensure every dog gets the time and attention they need during their walk. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my priority. I only offer one-to-one walks, so your dog will receive my full attention and won’t be walked alongside other dogs. I care very much about dogs and during dog sitting or walking there safety is my priority, it’s very rare I would leave them in the house on there own unless absolutely necessary but 99% of the time I’m sure even if I have to go out they can come!

If there was a higher rating then Macy would definitely deserve it. Her and her whole family welcomed Jax into their home and were totally amazing. Macy kept us updated regularly with messages and videos. Jax is a young large Doberman with ongoing training for recall and reactivity to other dogs, ao not an easy boy to look after, but Macy went above and beyond expectations Thanks

Frances looked after Ruby for us overnight at very short notice, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care she provided. She was friendly, reliable, and Ruby was well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Frances to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter, and we’d be delighted to book with her again in the future.

Becky and her partner were excellent with Ziggy❤️ As a young bigger dog it was important to us that he was in the right hands which he definitely was! He settled in fine and there was great communication and updates. I’ll be contacting Becky again if we need anyone to look after him in the future😊

Pamela and family took on sitting Cidu at short notice after another booking was unavoidably cancelled. Pamela met with us beforehand to make sure she got on with her own dog. Pamela sent a few messages during the week to reassure us and Cidu seemed very happy when we collected her and seemed to have formed a good relationship with Pamela and her family. We would definitely use Pamela again.
