About: I’m Lauren, an outdoorsey freelance medical writer and experienced dog sitter living in Somerset. I love hiking, running, exploring in the campervan with my partner Kevin, and of course dogs! I grew up with two springer spaniels so I have been a dog person as long as I can remember. A few months ago I returned from a campervan trip around Europe with my partner Kevin where we met lots of friendly dogs and cats (as can be seen in my photos!), which inspired us to start dog sitting here in Somerset. We have been dog and house sitting via TrustedHousesitters for a barbet and separately for three cockers spaniels (including a crazy 6-month old), doing repeat sits for both. As a freelancer, my schedule is part-time and flexible therefore I can be flexible on timings for walks. Kevin works in-person but will join dog walks in the evening. I grew up in Axbridge so I am familiar with walking routes around Somerset. I am a home worker so I am often out on walks and runs myself to break up the day, so it would be great to have a dog join me! My workload fluctuates without fixed working hours so I can be flexible on timings I will of course follow any guidance or preferences from the owner. I will always bring the essentials for each dog and I’m happy to send photo updates and to walk in familiar areas for the dog if preferable. I will also be insured for dog walking before accepting my first client.

About: I'm a certified Canine Behaviourist (BCCSDip.AdvCanBhv), dog trainer and experienced pet care professional. A former Kennels Volunteer with Happy Landings Animal Rescue, I have extensive experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds. I have two dogs of my own, including a 52kg formerly reactive rescue, therefore no problem with giant breeds or powerful pullers. I pride myself not only on providing a high standard of care but also professionalism and effective communication. You can rest assured that your pets will be looked after as if they were my own! I work part-time from home so have plenty of flexibility for pet sitting. Happy to do pop ins, walks and overnight stays. I'm generally available for short notice bookings so if in doubt, do ask! The safety, wellbeing and tail wags (or purrs!) of your pet are my highest priority. I'm also happy to undertake other tasks such as watering plants, taking in mail, turning lights on and off etc. to ensure your time away is as stress-free as possible.

My 14 years of experience caring for various animals, including 16 guinea pigs, a dog, a cat, and a rabbit, have equipped me with the skills to meet the unique needs of each pet. I'm dedicated to providing personalized attention and ensuring your furry friend feels right at home. I am a full-time university student at university Monday to Friday so I will be able to mostly fit my work around whatever your pet's schedule is! As a vet student, I can handle and care for most species/breeds to whatever schedule you wish with lots of cuddles and love of course :)

About: I have volunteered in a dog grooming salon and dog-sat for various owners for around 6 years, as well as helping out at a local kennel walking the dogs. I also have 2 family dogs who I regularly look after. I am currently at university with optional attendance so can be very flexible and be available to the needs of the dog and their owners. I have a fenced garden and a park a short distance away for walking them. I have an enclosed lounge area which space in which they can play in. Certain dogs will also be allowed to be on the sofas and on beds.

About: I have owned cats and horses my whole life and have dog sit on Rover for around 2 years. I have received 5* reviews from all owners. I have done walking, day care and boarding for long durations and have loved providing a safe and happy environment for every dog who has stayed. Having owned cats and horses my whole life I have a good attention to detail and make sure to cater to every pets specific needs. I am a patient and kind handler and a true animal lover. My two horses are pictured in the last slide. I am currently in my final year of studying an equine degree at Hartpury University, specialising in horse behaviour and welfare. I come home to Cheddar most weekends, when I am free to look after your pets. My weekday availability varies so please message if you have any out of hours requests and I will do my best to accommodate. I’m fortunate enough to live on a quiet private lane with a secure and gated patio and a small grass garden. We are tucked away from main roads and don’t get any through traffic. When staying overnight in my house I have the option to section off parts of my house with a baby gate or leave open the whole of downstairs which is plenty enough space for a larger dog. My house is very quiet and peaceful and so if your dog prefers a quieter environment they will be more than happy. I also have heaps of cozy blankets but please feel free to bring as many of your own as you like.

About: Since a young age both Fra and myself have cared for animals. We both had cats and dogs in our homes since birth and have looked after them with utmost care and attention. In our adult years we have taken house sitting seriously and have cared for several homes and a variety of pets. From dogs and cats, to lizards, frogs and guineapigs, we've cared for them all. About: Growing up in country Australia I have been surrounded by all kinds of dogs from rescue greyhounds, senior citizens, and puppies my whole life. I have have a pooch of my own (a double doodle named Ffyn) and would love to take special care of your K9 family. I am experienced in house sitting, walking, and drop ins. About: Hi, I’m Catharine, a Lancashire lass now living in Weston-super-Mare with my partner, Tom. We’re both huge animal lovers and would love to look after your pet 🐾 We live in a detached house with a secure, fully fenced garden, and because we both work from home, your pet will have plenty of company, attention, and cuddles throughout the day. We don’t currently have pets (or children!) of our own as we’re still settling into our first home after recently moving. We’d love a pet of our own one day, but for now we’re more than happy being the people friends and family call when they need someone to look after theirs. We genuinely love having animals around the house. I’ve been animal mad for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs and cats, but my soul dog, Sandie, was extra special. He lived to the amazing age of 19 and was a huge part of my family. We had an especially close bond in his senior years when he became less mobile and relied on me a lot for comfort. Caring for him taught me so much about patience, empathy, and understanding an animal’s individual needs.
