Pet care experience

Pet loving, I’ll treat your pets like my own.

I’ve had my own dogs for the last 15 years and grew up with cats, dogs, chickens, goats, hamsters, rabbits. I’ve pet sat professionally through Trusted House Sitters, Rover and for family and friends. I have my own dog and enjoy long walks, where possible he’ll be with me on dog walks but only if you’re ok with that. For dog sitting he will need to be with me but he’s very easy going, doesn’t get jealous or aggressive and has no resource guarding issues. I have my Level 3 Diploma in Canine Behavior and Welfare and happy to tackle any training or behaviour issues you may be experiencing. I also have a Diploma in Canine First Aid, experienced in administering oral medication and basic first aid.

Rachel has looked after our anxious pomeranian before so we were confident that he would be well cared for again. Happy dog on our return. Would definitely recommend.

Boarding • Mar 12, 2026

After one day of day care to help familiarise our labradoodle Isla with Rachel and her dog Buster, we left her boarding with them for two days. As Isla was already familiar with the environment, she appeared to settle quickly and we appreciated that Rachel was keen to keep to Isla's normal routines where possible. We could see from the photos she provided that Isla was enjoying her stay, particularly the regular and frequent walks (more I think than she has at home). We had absolutely no concerns arising from the two days boarding and we are totally relaxed at the thought of further visits. Thank you Rachel and Buster.

Doggy Day Care • Mar 12, 2026

A few days after arranging a "meet and greet" with Rachel we left our labradoodle Isla in her care for a day. It was the first time we had left her with anyone for more than a year and we were nervous for her. We needn't have worried. Rachel is very obviously a dog lover and her own dog Buster is relaxed and friendly. They both made Isla welcome and we are so glad we found them.

Rachel is absolutely lovely. When I met her it was clear she is a warm and caring person who loves animals. She looked after my 3 cats for several days, visiting twice a day to feed and play with them. She updated me regularly with messages and photos. The cats looked very happy and relaxed with her and I felt 100% confident leaving them and I wouldn’t hesitate in booking her again.

Schedule

I’m currently not working so can be very flexible and have lots of time to spend enriching your dogs lives. I’ll walk dogs in most weather, but will avoid the heat of the day during summer. I can provide enrichment activities or training instead if it’s too hot or cold to be out. I can be flexible for any drop-ins required for very young, elderly dogs or cats.

A typical day

I’m usually up around dawn, my own dog has breakfast and then likes to go back to bed for a few hours before a long walk in the afternoon. We tend to head to the beach or the woods , somewhere he can be safely off lead. We’ll quite often stop for a coffee and watch the world go by and he’ll enjoy a pupaccino. Afterwards we’ll head home for cuddles and play time if he has the energy. I believe routine is important so where possible will stick to as close to their routine as possible, maybe with just a few extra treats and cuddles!

As mentioned it’s good to keep them with a similar routine to normal. Providing me with information on potty breaks, feeding and exercise schedules as well as their bed time routine will make it easier for me to keep your dog ultra happy. No ask to big, my dog won’t sleep until I’ve tucked him into his bed with a blanket at night!
