About: I have been an animal lover all my life. I have one female Cocker Spaniel. I have had various different breeds of dogs over the years and have trained a fair few puppies. I have experience of dog sitting different breeds. I have recently trained a cocker spaniel with basic gun dog skills and he has recently gone on to live in a shooting family. I have also owned horses. I offer a friendly loving home environment where I will make your precious pet feel at home and safe. I work from home and so I am home all day. The only days I am not home are Mondays and Thursday where I attend the office. I have a fully enclosed garden. I am happy to take puppies and work on toilet training. I am also happy to offer walks. I offer a home from home environment where I will make your furry friend feel relaxed and at home.
About: I got my first dog when I was 12 and have never been without one since then! I often look after friend’s and families dogs. I work from home so have all day to devote to looking after your dogs. Very happy to have dogs for a day or overnight. I have a fenced garden, and long and short walks from my door step. I have a sweet female golden retriever who loves all dogs.

It was obvious from our earlier Meet and Greet that he is a dog lover and we were very relaxed about leaving her for four days on her first boarding with him. She was quite happy to follow him indoors on arrival and he was happy to deal with her eating and drinking habits, particularly her drinking which is not routine.
We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter for Obi while we were away for our wedding. From the moment they met, Obi (who is usually quite nervous around new people) took to Fran immediately, which gave us so much confidence. Throughout the two nights, Fran kept us updated with lovely photos and messages, which really put my mind at ease and meant we could relax and enjoy our special day knowing he was in such caring hands. It was clear that Obi was happy, well looked after and genuinely cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fran to anyone looking for a kind, reliable and trustworthy dog sitter. After one day of day care to help familiarise our labradoodle Isla with Rachel and her dog Buster, we left her boarding with them for two days. As Isla was already familiar with the environment, she appeared to settle quickly and we appreciated that Rachel was keen to keep to Isla's normal routines where possible. We could see from the photos she provided that Isla was enjoying her stay, particularly the regular and frequent walks (more I think than she has at home). We had absolutely no concerns arising from the two days boarding and we are totally relaxed at the thought of further visits. Thank you Rachel and Buster.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
