“Manognya took fabulous care of our dog, Guimauve, over a weekend. He had clearly had a wonderful time, including at a picnic all day on the Sunday. He had been unwell the week before and Manognya gave him his medication without any problem. We got great photo updates, too.”

“Adjian was really organised and a pleasure to deal with. Stanley obviously had a wonderful time as the second time he went to stay he rushed inside without hesitation - very unlike him! Highly recommended”

“Brigitte looked after our 7 month old Labrador brilliantly. We were obviously a bit nervous about leaving him behind when we went away for a few days but we were totally reassured by the lovely updates including photos and videos that Brigitte sent through. We picked up a happy and relaxed dog who’d enjoyed lots of lovely long walks and we’ll most certainly book again when we next go away. Thank you Brigitte!!”

About: I've been caring for cats and dogs for the past 7 years and genuinely love being part of a pet's life. Over the years, I've looked after friends' cats and regularly cared for my parents' dog, giving me experience with different personalities, routines, and care needs. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the responsibility of caring for someone else's beloved companion very seriously. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I offer house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits throughout Bath and Bristol. You can expect reliable care, regular updates, and plenty of photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing the loving, attentive care they deserve! I work from home 3 days of the week so I can easily do house visits during the week - Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays! Whether this may be for playing, feeding or simply giving your little fur baby a little bit of company. I can also take your dog out for a walk during my lunch breaks and play tug of war (the real way to a dog’s heart)! I am also available weekends, I simply want to care for your pet in the best way possible :) As I live in a flat, I won’t be able to take care of your pets in my own home but I am more than happy to do house sits, check ins, and daily walks - whatever works best for you!
About: Having grown up with dogs in my family and gone on to work in professional kennels, I have hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I recently left my full-time job and as a result have flexibility to provide walks, day care and overnight stays. My aim is to provide a genuine alternative to kennels or large daycare, with a fun, and loving environment where I can give individual attention. I enjoy being active and genuinely love getting out for long walks every day, so your dog will never be short of adventure, fresh air, and exercise. I also have experience working with dogs who have anxiety or behavioural difficulties. I have a flexible schedule and am available on both weekdays and weekends. I also have a car which is set up for transporting dogs safely, and I am happy to provide pick up or drop offs. I live in house with an enclosed back garden. This provides a great environment for dogs to play. Likewise, inside the house there are various dog beds and toys!
“Lesley looked after Ronnie over Christmas and she made Ronnie feel at home, safe and secure. I received daily updates and videos and I was reassured that Ronnie was receiving the best care possible. Ronnie had a great time playing with Lesley’s lovely dogs. Fabulous experience.”

“Francesca came to the rescue when someone cancelled last minute, for which we are very grateful! We were sent videos which was lovely and Trevor was clearly having lots of fun. Would definitely book again.”

“Henri had a fantastic time with Lily and her family. She was so well cared for we are very glad to have found Lily and will 100% use again. She has a great environment for pets and I would highly recommend Lily if you need someone to look after your pet.”

About: Canadian/Aussie Pet Sitter Newish to England here to help with loving your doggo's in your absence! My Story: I was the owner of a beautiful Cavoodle, Miley, for 15 years, she soul shatteringly passed away in Oct 2023 and to heal I started to dog sit in my neighborhood, a daily fur fix and being able to give love to a furry friend was incredibly healing. In December I took some time to heal further and booked a trip to visit friends in Bath, I loved it so much and when I returned to my empty home, I decided I wanted to make the move over. The universe must of been listening because my employer of 8 years made my position redundant, and I took that as the final sign that my time was up in Australia, and it was time to start a new life for myself in England. My Experience: I specialize in anxious doggo's that need full time company, and extra love and cuddles, I care for every pup as if they are my own and all of my clients I started beautiful relationships with and became one of their "hooman's", so much so that before I left Aus I had a farewell puppy party at the pub where I could say goodbye to all the beautiful furry souls that Miley sent to heal me! So now I'm on the hunt for my next furry friends! I have experience with all doggos big and small ranging from 3kg - 65KG (Yup one of my fav clients was a 6-month-old Tibetan sweetheart) Available most days and weekends. I work as local store manager in menswear and have sunday mondays off, my partner Andrew who is also a dog lover and has grown up his whole life with a dog works from home 4 days during the week so we are a 2 for 1 doggy sitter duo to help with availability. We are completely open to keeping to the dog's pace, from long walks and fetch for high energy border collies and working breeds, to cuddles and naps for an elderly poodle.
“Chris was so welcoming and reassuring, sending some great photos to show our dog was enjoying his holiday as much as we were. It meant we all had a wonderful time and would have the confidence to do it again. I think Jack will really miss his new friend Lottie!”

“Jessica was great! very quick at communicating and kept us fully informed while Maia stayed with her, lots of pics and asked us all the things we forgot to mention. It was the first time we’d left Maia with anyone apart from friends and family but Jessica made it all super easy. Thanks again :)”

Annabel was so sweet to our dogs. When I picked them up I could tell they loved her. Also, when our flight was delayed and I was nervous I wouldn’t make it back in time to pick them up she had no problem taking care of them another day. Highly recommend! She took great care of our boys while we were gone.

Bridget looked after my cocker spaniel whilst we were on holiday. I know he had an amazing time as Bridget sent me wonderful photos every day of their walks and adventures. Bridget is super calm and gentle - my dog took an instant liking to her and can't wait for his next visit 🐾🐾🐕

Selin looked after our dog Luna for an extended stay and was caring, responsible and communicative throughout. We received regular updates, photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Selin handled the homesick issues with patience, kindness and genuine concern for Luna's wellbeing. She kept us informed, adjusted Luna's routine where appropriate, and clearly cared about making her feel comfortable and happy. It was obvious from the updates that Luna grew very fond of Selin and felt safe in her care. We really appreciated her dedication and would be happy to trust Luna with her again in the future. Thank you, Selin, for taking such good care of our little girl

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nadia did a fantastic job looking after Oliver. He seemed to really enjoy his stay and was very well cared for throughout. We really appreciated the regular updates and photographs, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Oliver was happy and comfortable in Nadia’s care, and we would definitely book Oliver with Nadia again in the future. Highly recommended.

Our puppy Ziggy had such a fun weekend with Sara. She was the perfect dog sitter - responsible, highly experienced and reliable. But best of all, she so obviously loves spending time with dogs and it really showed through the time and attention she gave Ziggy. Sara sent us regular updates and Ziggy returned home tired from some great walks, and very content. I would absolutely trust Sara and book her again, she is great!

Lizzie has a lovely calmness about her and I felt totally confident that Tiggy would be well cared for. She was keen to learn about Tiggy so that her routine could be maintained, and I enjoyed receiving updates which reassured me that all was well. Thank you Lizzie.

We had a feeling our little Shiba Inu was in good hands when we made the booking and every day we were proven right! We got photos, check-ins, and quick responses daily. We had some concerns about Haru's stay since there would be another pup in shared spaces, and we were met with dilligent updates. He is looking great after his stay and not anxious at all. We will definitely book with Ecrin again!

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
