“Natalie is experienced with dogs and quickly developed a rapport with our dog, Hugo. They clearly enjoy each others company. We will not hesitate to book Natalia again as we feel very confident in her dog/ house sitting.”

“Micaela was absolutely wonderful. She is clearly an animal lover and so competent. We were so impressed and couldn’t have been happier. She sent daily updates with lots of photos, was helpful and flexible when we unfortunately had a delay to our flight and left the house in perfect condition. An absolutely perfect sitter that we highly recommend.”

“Very communicative over the weekend with photos of their walks. She was also great with staying over and striped the bed as well. Have now used her twice and would not hesitate to use her again.”

“We were really pleased with the care Tamara gave to our dogs. They were clearly well looked after, had lots of lovely outings, and we appreciated the regular photo updates while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Thank you!”

“Frankie was super friendly and great with Fia. She was proactive and sent photos and updates regularly, and left the house lovely & tidy. We’d definitely use her again! Thanks Frankie!”

“Lara looked after our 5 month old puppy in our home for 10 days whilst we were away on holiday. She was absolutely brilliant from the initial meet and greet and being so organised and prepared for the sit. To then looking after our puppy so well and taking the challenges of looking after a puppy in a heatwave in her stride. She kept us updated throughout and the house was absolutely immaculate when we returned. We would highly recommend Lara for any dog sitting.”

“Tim took care of Kaos for a whole day while I was on a business trip. He followed instructions carefully and gave me priodic feedback with photos and videos. He took Kaos on fun walks and matched his energy in playtime. Kaos loved him immensely and I felt very confident that my puppy is in safe hands. Thank you Tim!”

“Last minute booking with Coral. Skyler absolutely loved her and ate all her food which showed how relaxed she was with her. ( as she doesn't eat unless I'm there with her ) Coral sent me pics and updates and even let her sleep in her bed. Coral is a beautiful person and my dog absolutely adored her. Thank you. Will def use again.”

“We highly recommend Molly and have already booked her again. Very professional and responsive throughout. Helly is so important to us and it’s really important that we’re able to leave her in safe hands. That’s definitely the case with Molly! Thanks again.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes since I was 12 years old, from small breeds to larger dogs. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with feeding, walking, basic training, and making sure each dog feels safe, happy and well cared for. I especially enjoy long countryside walks, spending quality time playing and cuddling with dogs making them feel comfortable and loved. I’m friendly, reliable and genuinely passionate about working with animals! Pet care fits really naturally into my weekly routine and I’m super flexible with walks, feeding, playtime and keeping pets company. I love being outdoors and I am always happy to head out for a walk, come rain or shine. I make sure every pet feels comfortable, safe and cared for, whether they’re with me or I’m looking after them in their own home. *Please note I will not take any banned, dangerous or reactive dogs*
About: Walking, training, picking up poop and mopping up wee - I've done it all! I've grown up with 2 large, energetic dogs and loved caring for them from puppies to seniors. I've done lots of obedience and agility training with my current Australian Shepherd who lives back home in Switzerland! I have regularly cat sit for my neighbour so am familiar with all things litter trays and dead lizards they may chose to leave at my feet. I comfortably looked after my aunt's 3 (slightly crazy) cats whilst she was on holiday. I am also a regular rider with knowledge of horse care and would be delighted to help with anyone's horse. I am a university student who is currently only in Uni 2 days a week! This means I am available to sit, care, visit, walk any day of the week except Thursday afternoons and Fridays. I am happy to come to the owner's home for whatever length of time is needed. I can visit several times a day, walk several times a day, stay with the pet for as long as necessary. Unfortunately my landlord does not allow pets so I'll have to come to you!
“Ayla came to the rescue for us at short notice and we couldn’t be happier to have found her. She’s attentive, caring and thoughtful. I felt very happy leaving Remi with her.”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life and have been a house and pet sitter for the last 20 years. I am a fit, non smoking retired woman who loves to spend time with cats and dogs but am unable to have any of my own at present. I am retired and apart from a couple of mornings of voluntary work I am at home or enjoying my various hobbies. I am happy to consider short notice assignments. I cannot look after pets in my home but I am more than happy to come to you if close enough. I can visit for a couple of hours or stay overnight.
About: I grew up with pets so I am responsible and respectful when caring for your furry friends. I have taken care of my friends and family's dogs by walking them, playing with them and showing them love, while I also have considerable experience caring for pets via Rover. I am enthusiastic about animals and strive to give them the best quality care. I am reliable and compassionate, whilst I love to spend time outdoors or at home in the company of a pet! I am available to provide services on the weekends, while I can also provide services on weekday mornings and evenings — before 10am and after 7pm. Additionally, I work remotely on Thursdays so can offer more flexibility/house sit. I will take care of your pets by making sure they are safe and comfortable. I can take them on plenty of walks, play with them, and feed them within their usual routine. With permission of the owner, I will allow your dog to socialise with other dogs and be safely let off his or her lead. I will tend to any special needs stated by the owner and make sure your pets essential needs are met while giving them plenty of love.
“Evan was great. I needed someone to look after my little guy for 2-3 days at the last minute, and Evan was able to help out, and did a great job. Pickle made a buddy and Evan left my place as he found it. I’ll definitely use Evan again and would recommend him to others.”

Hyeryeong (Amy) was absolutely fantastic. She kept me updated with photos and videos every day of our 16 day holiday and managed the heat wave and thunderstorm well. Both Dakota and Chief were well looked after and she was very respectful of our home. Would definitely book her again if available. Thank you so much!

Natalia was super reliable, she was able to help last minute and our doggie Hugo had a lovely time, having similar dogs herself I felt happy she was in control and comfortable with leaving her with all the animals. Can’t recommend enough and will be using her for overnight stays aswell as walks.

Ania was fantastic! Excellent communication, loads of photos, really bonded with Betsy who seemed very calm and happy when we got home. It was very warm and Betsy was on some medication and Ania made every effort to keep Betsy cool and made sure she had the medication she needed. Our house was left lovely and clean, would definitely recommend!

Hattie is a wonderful, kind person and she bonded so well with my labrador Clover. After our Meet&Greet I felt confident and happy with her abilities and personality to stay with Clover for the weekend in our home. We kept in touch regularly and I adored the photo and video updates of their walks, cuddles and time together. Thank you Hattie! I am very grateful and hope to book you again in future to have fun with Clover!!

Jess looked after my 13 year old dog Liesel overnight. Liesel loved her straight away, and Jess was really attentive to her usual routine and considerate around things like not taking her on walks during the heat of the day (we're having a heatwave). She also checked things like how often I wanted updates etc, so I felt really reassured that Liesel was in good hands. :)

Izzie was able to take on a booking quite last minute for my old dog Liesel, and when Liesel was also a bit unwell with a dodgy stomach. Izzie was brilliant, lots of great communication and managed Liesel's sickness which I can imagine wasn't the most fun to deal with! Highly recommend :)

Our 6 month old puppy, Poppy, spent 3 nights at Tim's house while we were away. We were nervous because it was our first time leaving her, but when we dropped her off she was instantly comfortable which put us at ease. Tim sent us updates twice a day (very good photography), so we enjoyed our holiday knowing that our Poppy was safe and happy. When we picked her up and took her home, she was our same old puppy, still loving and confident. We are so happy with how Tim looked after her and we would definitely go back to him. Thank you, Tim!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Bath walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bath choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
