“Frankie was super friendly and great with Fia. She was proactive and sent photos and updates regularly, and left the house lovely & tidy. We’d definitely use her again! Thanks Frankie!”

“We were really pleased with the care Tamara gave to our dogs. They were clearly well looked after, had lots of lovely outings, and we appreciated the regular photo updates while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Thank you!”

“Izzabelle was great with our 3.5yr cockapoo - Ginny. Ginny has separation anxiety and Izzabelle was very accommodating with that. Communication was great. Will definitely book with Izzabelle again!”

“Coral was a lovely cat sitter for our Storm. Coral sent messages and photos throughout the day. I could tell from the photos that Storm felt comfortable and at ease. Coral obviously has a natural and calming way with animals and in tuned to her needs (and she’s a Bengal!). Coral was also incredibly respectful of our house and left it in an immaculate condition. We will definitely be booking Coral again. Thank you again!”

About: Hello! I’m originally from South Korea. In case you’re not very familiar with my country, I’d love to share a little about it. South Korea is a place where people truly love their pets. We have pet kindergartens, pet-friendly restaurants, and even cafés that host birthday parties for pets. Because Korea currently has one of the lowest birth rates in the world, pets are often treated like family members. If you visit Korea, you might even see strollers with little dogs inside instead of babies! As for me, my partner and I have a cat called JOJO. Her name comes from a character in a Japanese anime that I love. I hoped she would grow up brave like that character, but it turns out she is actually a very adorable — and very shy — cat. Over the past two years of raising JOJO, we’ve always been responsible for her, making sure she gets her regular vaccines, deworming, and check-ups. So far, she hasn’t had any serious illnesses. She was spayed at eight months old, has excellent behavior, is very confident at home, and doesn’t damage any furniture. When I first started living with JOJO, I realized that having a pet is not always easy. She used to wake me up at four in the morning, sometimes knocking over her water bowl to make noise. Once she even knocked a fish tank onto the floor, which made me worry that she might get hurt. That experience made me start learning more about animal behavior and pet psychology. Over time I learned that every pet has a unique personality. JOJO isn’t very motivated by food, but she loves playing. So now I spend about an hour every day playing with her, and she no longer wakes me up early in the morning. Instead, she quietly waits beside me until I wake up and then happily runs around the house. I’ve been living with JOJO for almost two years now. She has taught me patience and how important it is to respect every animal’s personality. I will take the time to understand your pet’s personality and care for them with the same love and patience I give to JOJO. To me, animals are not just pets — they are companions we grow and share our lives with. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel relaxed while you’re away. If you have a dog, please don’t worry! I’ve been walking friends’ dogs in Korea since middle school. I’ve walked small and medium breeds like Maltese and Teddy dogs, and I know how to make sure they have water and pick up after them. So you can rest assured I can handle that. For large dogs, I might not be able to walk them, but I’m happy to come to your home and spend the day playing with your dog. If you don’t mind a little “disturbance,” I can even send you a hundred photos in one day to keep you relaxed—haha! I’m currently on a legal visa and in the process of job hunting here in the UK. Because I haven't started a full-time role yet, I have a lot of flexibility and would love to hang out with your pets on a daily basis. I’m more than happy to tailor my care to your exact needs. If I’m looking after them at your place, I’d be completely comfortable with you having pet cameras—it’s a great way for you to stay connected and see how we’re getting along! If you don’t have one, no worries at all; I’ll send you plenty of photo and video updates throughout the day. "If you’d prefer to drop them off at my home, I’ll make sure JOJO (my cat) stays settled in our bedroom. This ensures JOJO feels safe while giving your pet plenty of space to roam and relax. I’ll be sure to keep you posted with lots of updates so you can see how much fun they're having!
“Evan was great. I needed someone to look after my little guy for 2-3 days at the last minute, and Evan was able to help out, and did a great job. Pickle made a buddy and Evan left my place as he found it. I’ll definitely use Evan again and would recommend him to others.”

About: I've had a Westie since I was 7 years old - he is now 15! I've loved growing up with him, training him and walking him. Now, he prefers cuddles and a leisurely stroll! I have also spent plenty of time with other dogs, including my grandparents' labrador and cocker spaniel - both are very high-energy and, as someone who loves exercise, I've loved being able to run around and explore with them, especially around the beaches where I grew up (in Devon). I’m currently a student at the University of Bath, which gives me a flexible schedule with plenty of availability during the day, evenings, and weekends. I can work around your routine to provide regular or occasional walks. I also love exploring Bath, so I’d be happy to take your dog on enjoyable, stimulating walks in safe and interesting areas. I provide safe, reliable, and attentive dog walking tailored to each dog’s needs. I always ensure dogs are securely handled on leads unless instructed otherwise, and I take care to walk in safe, dog-friendly areas. I pay close attention to each dog’s behaviour, energy levels, and any specific requirements, including feeding, water, or medication if needed during our time together. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I’ll always keep you updated for peace of mind.
“Fab! My dog was very happy and chill when I came home. Emilia took good care of him and I felt he was in very safe hands - he can be a tricky boy on walks but she handled him very well. Would definitely book again :)”

“Kenna was fantastic, she made the first time leaving our pup seamless and stress free! Kenna kept us updated with pictures and instilled trust that she would prioritise Ernie’s needs and routine! Thank you so much ❤️”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life and have been a house and pet sitter for the last 20 years. I am a fit, non smoking retired woman who loves to spend time with cats and dogs but am unable to have any of my own at present. I am retired and apart from a couple of mornings of voluntary work I am at home or enjoying my various hobbies. I am happy to consider short notice assignments. I cannot look after pets in my home but I am more than happy to come to you if close enough. I can visit for a couple of hours or stay overnight.
“Lara was great with our 3 year old cockapoo Ginny. With the damp weather it must’ve been hard to keep her entertained too. We received updates and photos and the house was left in a great way. Would recommend Lara!”

“Lily provided really good care for my dog while staying in my home for a few days. Her communication was good, providing me with updates when I asked for them. My dog clearly bonded with them and maintained their normal routine without any stress. I also appreciated coming back to a beautifully tidy home. Lily is trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring. I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again.”

“Emily helped us out very last minute and house sat our greyhound Cherry. She arrived promptly and was really communicative throughout, and we came back to a happy dog. Thanks so much Emily!”

“Tiffany was fantastic with our 3 year old cockapoo Ginny. Ginny has a few funny quirks and separation issues and Tiffany put us at ease and with all of this. Tiffany kept us updated with lots of photos and even took her on lovely woodland walk. Will definitely use Tiffany again.”

Bruno had a great time! Got photo updates which was great to see how he was getting on. Communication was good the whole time, always quick to respond. Came home to a happy, chilled out dog and the house was clean too. Couldn’t ask for more — would definitely recommend and have already booked again!

Hattie is a wonderful, kind person and she bonded so well with my labrador Clover. After our Meet&Greet I felt confident and happy with her abilities and personality to stay with Clover for the weekend in our home. We kept in touch regularly and I adored the photo and video updates of their walks, cuddles and time together. Thank you Hattie! I am very grateful and hope to book you again in future to have fun with Clover!!

Izzie was able to take on a booking quite last minute for my old dog Liesel, and when Liesel was also a bit unwell with a dodgy stomach. Izzie was brilliant, lots of great communication and managed Liesel's sickness which I can imagine wasn't the most fun to deal with! Highly recommend :)

Evan always replied quickly to messages, arrived on time and was very kind and responsible with our dog Alan. We’ve come home to a happy dog and a tidy house and you can’t ask for more really! 😊 Would be happy to recommend him to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Thank you!

We had Elsie and Olivia in for a long stint looking after our two ragdoll cats while we travelled for our wedding. From the very start they were very communicative and professional. They came for an initial visit to meet the cats and get acquainted with our home. Their love of cats was immediately obvious and very sweet to see. While away we got updates every single day with lots of pictures of our boys. They were meticulous in following our instructions. They made sure the cats had play time every day. They also did some hoovering around the house. It gave us a lot of peace of mind to enjoy our time away knowing our cats were so well cared for in their own environment. We would definitely recommend Olivia and Elsie and will be using their services again in the future.

We were so happy with Ashleigh’s two-day, overnight stay in our home with Remi. As this was the first time we had ever left her with someone she didn’t know, we felt quite nervous and anxious, but Ashleigh immediately put us at ease. The photos and regular updates were very reassuring and greatly appreciated. Remi clearly had a great time and was happy and relaxed when we returned. Our house was also left absolutely spotless — honestly, you wouldn’t have known anyone had been staying. We would use Ashleigh again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter. Thank you so much, Ashleigh — from us and Remi 🐾

Coral was fab with our 3.5 year old cockapoo Ginny. Ginny has separation anxiety and can be quite fussy at times but Coral was great with her and kept us updated with messages and photos which put us at ease. Would recommend and will definitely book with Coral again!

Caitlin has been absolutely fantastic over the past week whilst we were away abroad - she looked after Furlo, our jackapoo for 7 nights, whilst staying in our house .... we've returned to a very relaxed and happy little doggie .... immaculate house and her communication was excellent throughout. I can't recommend her enough - I would definitely book Caitlin again if she is free when we need help with Furlo.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North East Somerset choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
