“Frankie was super friendly and great with Fia. She was proactive and sent photos and updates regularly, and left the house lovely & tidy. We’d definitely use her again! Thanks Frankie!”

“Very happy with Coral house/dog sitting. Communication was good, interacted well with me and my dog. Stan was happy so I’m happy too! No hesitation in recommending and will definitely book again. Thank you Coral.”

About: I love dogs and love spending time with them. I’ve spent many years looking after friends and families dogs while they are away - taking them for walks, feeding them, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. I’m used to dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I understand every dog is different. My main goal is to make the dog feel loved and safe. As a professional athlete, I am extremely reliable, trustworthy and always on time! I love the outdoors and it is always made better by sharing that space with a dog. I’m currently a professional athlete based in Bath. I am often training in the mornings but tend to have late afternoons and evenings free - although my schedule is flexible. I have experience walking dogs of all sizes, and as a strong young man I have no issue managing larger dogs. The safety and trust of the dog is my top priority
“Isabella was absolutely fantastic, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or to ask her to come back. Luna is a timid cat and takes a while to get used to new people but Isabella won her over really quickly - not only that but Isabella was house-sitting through the heatwave and made sure Luna kept cool and safe throughout. This was the first time I have left Luna and was very reassured to know that Luna was in good hands. I'm so grateful - thanks Isabella!”

“Kenna house-sat for us while we were away, and we came home to 2 very happy and contented dogs. Kenna sent us regular photos and messages, helping allay any guilt we had about leaving them! We would highly recommend Kenna’s services and hope to welcome her to our home again.”

About: I had a cat when I was little. I had a cockapoo 15 to 26 and miss him loads. Just resigned from my job so I’m free most of the time for same day bookings but better to have some notice in advance. Absolutely love pets and can help train if needed :) Love getting outside for walks but also a big fan of lounging on the sofa for a cuddle! Have Henrietta Park right by me and will go for adventures! Have super comfy sofas, not a super busy flat so it’s a nice calm environment. I love to get more than 15k steps in a day so it’s always best to have a companion! I miss having my dog around so it’s nice to have a 4 legged friend.

About: Since my teenager years, I’ve been surrounded with my poodle, a cat and a turtoise so I’m comfortable with pets and different personalities. I’ve also looked after friends’ pets, including cats and energetic terriers. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding or simply company, I make sure they feel safe, secure and comfortable. Having recently moved to the UK for my PGCE and missing my own pets, I have plenty of time to invest in taking care of your companions. I am currently on holiday so my schedule is quite flexible. Most days I spend time exploring the area and meeting friends which makes it easy for me to fit pet care in my routine. If you know dates you need someone, just let me know. I’m flexible and always happy to see if we can make it work! Unfortunately unable to welcome your pets in my shared space with allergic roommates… In your home, let me know your routines and any special preferences your pet has. I love to spend quality time with animals, whether it’s playing with an energetic animal or giving them quiet company. Of course, I’ll treat your home with respect, send regular updates so you know how happy and well cared for your pet is.

About: I grew up in a dog loving family and adopted and trained my own rescue dog from the age of 14. Bonding and connecting with a dog is something I dearly miss now I am away studying for my PhD. I would love the opportunity to look after your dog and provide a good standard of care for you. I am currently working a completely flexible 35 hour week so I am able to drop in regularly and dog walk daily on a time schedule that meets your needs. I am happy to dog sit in your house during the week and adapt to any specific details to give your dog the best care possible. I am happy to care for your dog in your environment and can adapt to your dog’s needs. I am familiar with high energy dogs and their demands. I understand every dog is different and I am able to adapt to each new personality. No matter the service requested, I will send regular updates and photos to make sure you know exactly what your dog is up to.
About: I've grown up with both cats and dogs and have always been surrounded by animals. Over the years, I've regularly looked after the pets of friends and family, giving me experience with a variety of personalities and care needs. A few years ago, I volunteered at a dog shelter in Cape Town, which strengthened my passion for working with dogs. Since then, I've cared for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments in my local community. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medication when needed. Most of all, I have a big heart and a genuine love for animals. I'm honest, reliable, and attentive, so you can have complete peace of mind knowing your pets will be treated as if they were my own. I'll make sure they receive plenty of love, care, and attention, and I'll enjoy every moment spent with them. I always adjust my schedule to meet your pet's individual needs. As pet sitting is my full-time focus, I'll be with your pets for the majority of the day, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, love, and companionship. Your dog will enjoy regular walks suited to their personality and energy level, whether that's exploring the countryside, playing fetch at a local park, or socialising with other friendly dogs. Every walk is designed to keep them happy, active, and engaged while maintaining their usual routine. Safety and security are my number one priority. I will always discuss your dog's recall, temperament, and how they interact with other dogs and people, and I will carefully follow any advice or requests you provide. Your dog will only be let off lead with your permission and only in safe, secure areas. I aim to keep to your dog's usual routine so they feel comfortable and settled while you're away. If they enjoy the company of other dogs, I can provide group walks. If they prefer one-to-one walks, I will happily accommodate that too.

“Brooke was able to help with a fairly last minute request to house sit for 3 days for our 2 big doggos. I instantly felt at ease and knew they were going to be in very safe hands (and get lots of fuss!) Wouldn’t hesitate to book again, came home to two very happy dogs! Thank you very much for providing a great service and giving Ron and Juno all the cuddles.”

“Evan was professional and communicative about the house sit. Beau took an instant liking to him which made leaving him with a new person much easier! He’s clearly an animal lover and reliable pet sitter.”

“We couldn't be happier with Aleksandra. She took wonderful care of our dogs, sent daily photo updates, and kept our home clean and tidy. Our dog were happy and relaxed. Highly recommend and would gladly book again!"”
“I liked Anita the moment I met her. She is calm and warm and I felt great confidence in leaving her to look after our cats and our home while we were away for nearly 3 weeks. Its clear our cats felt comfortable in her presence, particularly one who can be slightly anxious and she regularly sent photos and updates on how they were doing which was reassuring. We returned home to a spotless house and a couple of very relaxed pussycats. I can highly recommend Anita and will definitely be booking her again.”

“Ania was fantastic! Excellent communication, loads of photos, really bonded with Betsy who seemed very calm and happy when we got home. It was very warm and Betsy was on some medication and Ania made every effort to keep Betsy cool and made sure she had the medication she needed. Our house was left lovely and clean, would definitely recommend!”

Rowan is very easy to contact and a very chilled out person which gave me faith that my babies are in good hands. Despite the fact my carers left the kitchen in an utter mess, Rowan just saw round that ( Wedding day so carers had to get my “now” husband and and then get ready themsey). As the chaos.of the morning and they all ran out of time. Both animals looked like they’d been brushed. Especially the dog who was super fluffy Thank you Rowan for an excellent over night stay with our cuties!

Madison did a great job looking after Sonny and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. She was very quick to respond to messages, arrived early so that she could meet Sonny and run through things before we left and gave regular updates. Sonny took to her immediately and was sitting on her lap even before we’d left. A great service and we felt happy as we drove away knowing Sonny was going to be very well looked after.
Hyeryeong (Amy) was absolutely fantastic. She kept me updated with photos and videos every day of our 16 day holiday and managed the heat wave and thunderstorm well. Both Dakota and Chief were well looked after and she was very respectful of our home. Would definitely book her again if available. Thank you so much!

Natalia was super reliable, she was able to help last minute and our doggie Hugo had a lovely time, having similar dogs herself I felt happy she was in control and comfortable with leaving her with all the animals. Can’t recommend enough and will be using her for overnight stays aswell as walks.

Hattie is a wonderful, kind person and she bonded so well with my labrador Clover. After our Meet&Greet I felt confident and happy with her abilities and personality to stay with Clover for the weekend in our home. We kept in touch regularly and I adored the photo and video updates of their walks, cuddles and time together. Thank you Hattie! I am very grateful and hope to book you again in future to have fun with Clover!!

Izzie was able to take on a booking quite last minute for my old dog Liesel, and when Liesel was also a bit unwell with a dodgy stomach. Izzie was brilliant, lots of great communication and managed Liesel's sickness which I can imagine wasn't the most fun to deal with! Highly recommend :)

Evan always replied quickly to messages, arrived on time and was very kind and responsible with our dog Alan. We’ve come home to a happy dog and a tidy house and you can’t ask for more really! 😊 Would be happy to recommend him to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Thank you!

We had Elsie and Olivia in for a long stint looking after our two ragdoll cats while we travelled for our wedding. From the very start they were very communicative and professional. They came for an initial visit to meet the cats and get acquainted with our home. Their love of cats was immediately obvious and very sweet to see. While away we got updates every single day with lots of pictures of our boys. They were meticulous in following our instructions. They made sure the cats had play time every day. They also did some hoovering around the house. It gave us a lot of peace of mind to enjoy our time away knowing our cats were so well cared for in their own environment. We would definitely recommend Olivia and Elsie and will be using their services again in the future.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North East Somerset choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
