“Ayla was fab at cat sitting for Tigs. She was easy to communicate with and sent us lots of photos/videos. Tigs was sick while we were away and Ayla let us know about this, confirmed there was no need to worry and cleaned it up. Would be happy to recommend her and book again in the future. Thank you!”

About: I've been caring for cats and dogs for the past 7 years and genuinely love being part of a pet's life. Over the years, I've looked after friends' cats and regularly cared for my parents' dog, giving me experience with different personalities, routines, and care needs. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the responsibility of caring for someone else's beloved companion very seriously. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I offer house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits throughout Bath and Bristol. You can expect reliable care, regular updates, and plenty of photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing the loving, attentive care they deserve! I work from home 3 days of the week so I can easily do house visits during the week - Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays! Whether this may be for playing, feeding or simply giving your little fur baby a little bit of company. I can also take your dog out for a walk during my lunch breaks and play tug of war (the real way to a dog’s heart)! I am also available weekends, I simply want to care for your pet in the best way possible :) As I live in a flat, I won’t be able to take care of your pets in my own home but I am more than happy to do house sits, check ins, and daily walks - whatever works best for you!

About: Hiya! I’m Madi, a 21 year old second year university student studying Biology 🪴, with a hope to pursue veterinary medicine! I provide friendly and reliable dog walking, home visits, and house sitting. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, a quick pop-in for feeding and cuddles, or someone to stay overnight, I’ll make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. I have plenty of experience with pets of all ages and personalities, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to following your pets’ routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I offer tailored care for puppies, seniors, and pets with special needs, and I’m always happy to provide extra playtime, cuddles, or attention as needed. You can relax knowing your pets are getting the love and companionship they deserve. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life — I’ve grown up around animals and still spend time with pets every day. Caring for them fits easily into my weekly routine because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritise. I make time for regular walks, play, and companionship, and to fit in feeding schedules, toilet breaks, and special routines. Whether it’s a quick daily visit, a long walk, or overnight care, I will adjust my routine to make sure pets always get the attention and consistency they need. 🩷 In a pet owner’s home, I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible — from feeding times and walks to play, cuddles, and rest. I make sure their environment stays safe, clean, and comfortable, and I keep them company so they feel secure while their family is away. If I’m house sitting, I also take care of the home itself by keeping it tidy, watering plants, and ensuring everything is left just as you’d expect. My goal is always to provide loving, reliable care so pets stay happy in their familiar surroundings and owners have complete peace of mind.
“Lesley did a fantastic job. She was super kind to Dora and the vid and photos she sent showed me that they had a fab time playing in the garden and going for a walk. Dora ate all her food and Lesley left everything neat and tidy. Many thanks 🙏”

“Kenna is fantastic. She makes me feel so at ease leaving our 6 month old puppy. She keeps his routine and implements current training! Her communication is second to none and the pup dates are always an added bonus!”

“Emily was just great and kept us up to date even though we were on an off grid holiday with very mobile poor service. I really appreciated her sanding us photos as we really miss our cats when we're away. Will definitely be rebooking. Thanks Emily :)”

About: As an owner of two older terriers, I’ve had lots of experience with high-energy dogs who also double as couch potatoes! ❤️ I’ve grown up with a whole range of pets, including dogs, puppies, cats, guinea pigs and gerbils, so I’m very comfortable caring for animals and building a loving bond with each of them. I’ve also spent plenty of time walking and looking after friends’ and family’s dogs and other pets, so I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. Whether they love long walks, playtime or simply lots of fuss and cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe and well cared for. I’m reliable, trustworthy and flexible, and I’ll always treat your pets as if they were my own. I know how important it is to have someone you can depend on, so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in safe hands. I look forward to meeting you and your fluff-balls!🐾 I currently have a very flexible schedule, which means I'm available for weekday, evening and weekend bookings, including last-minute requests where possible. This flexibility allows me to give your pet plenty of time, attention and care, whether they need a walk, a drop-in visit or overnight company. I'm always happy to work around your routine and will do my best to accommodate the times that suit you and your pet. I understand how important it is to feel confident about who you’re welcoming into your home and trusting with your pets. I always treat every home with respect, care and responsibility, and I make sure to follow any instructions exactly as given so your pet can stay in their familiar routine. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. I take time to get to know each animal, their habits and any special needs they may have, so I can provide care that keeps them comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I’m calm, patient and attentive, and I always make sure doors, gates and routines are followed carefully to keep your pet safe at all times. You can also expect regular updates and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing and feel reassured while you’re away. My goal is to create a safe, calm and familiar environment where your pet feels secure and cared for in their own home.
About: I have always had a dog growing up and sadly recently had a GSP pass away. Still have two friendly dashunds in the house currently. I love walking, caring and playing with dogs of all sizes :) I am a full time midwife that does a mix of night and days with no set routine. I would love to do walks etc on my days off. I have an enclosed garden and have a very chilled out household. We don’t allow dogs upstairs so our dogs are closed in to the big kitchen that we have. This includes wooden flooring and a big dog bed
About: I have 5 granddogs, 2 grandcats, 2 grandpigs, 2 goddogs and numerous canine and cat nephews and nieces (not blood of course, they are the furry kids of my friends). They’re family 😁 Usually only available between June and January as I live in Colombia January to May. However do feel free to ask, especially if the dates that you require are close to the limits. If I'm here I can adapt my schedule. I work remotely as a geeky historical writer, so can be pretty much anywhere and what can be better than doing that whilst making new furry friends. I treat them as family, except when the sharing of food is the question. I don’t share food, just like my English goddog, Percy, doesn’t share his bone. With regard to communication - the number listed is now obsolete - my new number is Colombian because I live in Colombia for six months each year - Unfortunately Rover does not have a Colombia option. So best to email me or communicate through Rover.
“Renata was amazing. The first time meeting Rita and Renata was brilliant with her. Great communication. Some lovely reassuring photos and I would definitely recommend her. Steve.”

About: Hi everyone My name is Maria and I have been surrounded my whole life by cats and dogs, at some points even rabbits, and I learned from a young age to love them and take care of them. I have been always loving animals and taking care of my friends pets while they’re in holidays and they were happy with my service and they kept calling me back every time. I found that I can do this for people and get paid…. even better, never been thinking about this. I have my own cat for 8 years now and I know the responsibility and care that a pet needs. I am very excited to meet your fluffy friends and give them the care they need. I am working part time, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon and I can come 2-3 times for your pet everyday. First of all at the beginning we need to know each other and get to become friends. Trust is to be earned not asked for so I will observe their behaviour and their needs to know to give them exactly what they need, always listen to their owner instructions because they know them more than anybody. I will follow the house rules and give them the best care I can.
About: As a 60 year old retiree I have 46 years of experience of dogs since getting my first dog when I was 14. I have constantly had dogs ever since, all rescues and mostly from puppies. I'm experienced in basic training and will be very happy to keep up your training routine as necessary. Dogs mean the world to me, and I'll treat your dog like my own. I keep myself fit and and can take your dog on any length of walk, short or long. I have now retired so have time and flexibility. I have a dog of my own. He's a rescue and a little timid so I wouldn't bring him on a walk with your dog unless you particularly wanted your dog to be socialised I have a fenced in garden and am more than happy to bring your dog to my house or care for them in your home.
About: I have been around dogs my entire life, I genuinely love dogs and prioritise their well-being. I care for their needs, ensuring they are happy and healthy. I have grown up with German Shepherds, I am used to walking, bathing and playing with them. My current dog is a beautiful miniature Australian Shepherd. I trained him with my father, he has a great temperament. Dogs are a gift, they spread joy and affection. I love interacting with my friends, families and strangers dogs. I hope to do it more through this app. I’m a teacher so during the holidays, I will have plenty of time to look after your furry friends! During school periods I will be able to look after your pups on weekends. I live in a pet friendly, brand-new apartment block. It has two-outdoor areas which are both grassy and secure for the dogs to enjoy. Less than a 10 minute walk away from Victoria Park and plenty of other green spaces just a short walk away. There are plenty of lovely walking spots to explore. The flat is spacious, filled with lots of natural light and plenty of areas for your dog to relax and play.

About: Hi! I’m a university student in Bath and a massive dog lover. I grew up with a boxer dog, Stanley, who sadly passed away a few months ago, and I really miss having a furry companion around. I’ve always been the person who ends up chatting to dogs wherever I go (my coworkers joke that if I disappear, I’m probably with a dog!), and I’m very comfortable walking, feeding and caring for them. I don’t have formal training, but I’m attentive and patient. I also have experience training my own dog and dog sitting for friends, so I understand how important it is to follow each dog’s routine and needs carefully. I’m friendly, reliable and love being outdoors- there genuinely isn’t a dog I don’t fall in love with! I’d love the opportunity to spend time with your pet and keep them company while you’re busy. As a university student, I have a flexible schedule during the day, which means I can adapt to your pet’s needs and times that suit you best. I will always prioritise your pet’s safety, comfort and routine. I will follow any instructions you provide closely, including feeding times, walking routes and any specific needs your pet may have. In your home, I will treat the space with respect and keep things clean and secure, making sure your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. On walks, I will stay attentive, keeping dogs on leads where needed and avoiding anything that could put them at risk. I will take the time to build trust with each pet so they feel relaxed and well cared for while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind.
“Absolute Star - Cat did a phenomenal job with Louis, responding with great care and efficiency when Louis became unwell with a tummy upset during his time with her. She looked after him as if he was her own beloved and I cannot recommend her highly enough. There aren’t enough stars available to capture the full extent of our gratitude and now, happily, Louis is fully recovered and I think he can’t wait to see Cat again so he can thank her”

About: Hello there! I'm Isobel, a remote Project Executive and musician based in Bath. Having grown up with 2 golden retrievers and currently mum to mini dachshund, Herbie, I am an animal lover! I have also had bunnies and guinea pigs when I was younger. I know how much pets mean to a person, and take the responsibility of your animal very seriously. I take the utmost care on every walk and make sure that your dog is safe, comfortable and happy while with me and when I visit. I will only look after one 'dog family' at any time, so rest assured I will be giving them my full attention at all times. I also have my own transport for excursions further afield, to the National Trust properties for example, for maximum enrichment and excitement for your pup! I have experience with puppies, elderly dogs and troubled dogs, so you can trust me with your best friend no matter their background. I am considered reliable and organised by colleagues and previous clients. I hope you will consider me to look after your furry friend. I currently work from home and have my own dog anyway. I will take him on one longer walk and multiple little walks a day, so if that works for your dog then they’ll fit right in! I don’t really leave Herbie home alone for more than an hour. Since I work from home and I have Herbie, your pup will have plenty of company and entertainment!

About: Hello! I’m originally from South Korea. In case you’re not very familiar with my country, I’d love to share a little about it. South Korea is a place where people truly love their pets. We have pet kindergartens, pet-friendly restaurants, and even cafés that host birthday parties for pets. Because Korea currently has one of the lowest birth rates in the world, pets are often treated like family members. If you visit Korea, you might even see strollers with little dogs inside instead of babies! As for me, my partner and I have a cat called JOJO. Her name comes from a character in a Japanese anime that I love. I hoped she would grow up brave like that character, but it turns out she is actually a very adorable — and very shy — cat. Over the past two years of raising JOJO, we’ve always been responsible for her, making sure she gets her regular vaccines, deworming, and check-ups. So far, she hasn’t had any serious illnesses. She was spayed at eight months old, has excellent behavior, is very confident at home, and doesn’t damage any furniture. When I first started living with JOJO, I realized that having a pet is not always easy. She used to wake me up at four in the morning, sometimes knocking over her water bowl to make noise. Once she even knocked a fish tank onto the floor, which made me worry that she might get hurt. That experience made me start learning more about animal behavior and pet psychology. Over time I learned that every pet has a unique personality. JOJO isn’t very motivated by food, but she loves playing. So now I spend about an hour every day playing with her, and she no longer wakes me up early in the morning. Instead, she quietly waits beside me until I wake up and then happily runs around the house. I’ve been living with JOJO for almost two years now. She has taught me patience and how important it is to respect every animal’s personality. I will take the time to understand your pet’s personality and care for them with the same love and patience I give to JOJO. To me, animals are not just pets — they are companions we grow and share our lives with. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel relaxed while you’re away. If you have a dog, please don’t worry! I’ve been walking friends’ dogs in Korea since middle school. I’ve walked small and medium breeds like Maltese and Teddy dogs, and I know how to make sure they have water and pick up after them. So you can rest assured I can handle that. For large dogs, I might not be able to walk them, but I’m happy to come to your home and spend the day playing with your dog. If you don’t mind a little “disturbance,” I can even send you a hundred photos in one day to keep you relaxed—haha! I’m currently on a legal visa and in the process of job hunting here in the UK. Because I haven't started a full-time role yet, I have a lot of flexibility and would love to hang out with your pets on a daily basis. I’m more than happy to tailor my care to your exact needs. If I’m looking after them at your place, I’d be completely comfortable with you having pet cameras—it’s a great way for you to stay connected and see how we’re getting along! If you don’t have one, no worries at all; I’ll send you plenty of photo and video updates throughout the day. "If you’d prefer to drop them off at my home, I’ll make sure JOJO (my cat) stays settled in our bedroom. This ensures JOJO feels safe while giving your pet plenty of space to roam and relax. I’ll be sure to keep you posted with lots of updates so you can see how much fun they're having!

I cannot recommend Ayla enough! We were in a real bind when our original cat sitter cancelled on us at the last minute, but Ayla saved the day. She accepted our request immediately, which was such a huge relief. She took incredible care of our cat throughout the stay. We really appreciated the frequent photo and video updates, it was so comforting to see our cats happy and well-fed while we were away. On top of the great pet care, she was a fantastic houseguest; she kept everything tidy and left the house in perfect condition. Ayla is reliable, communicative, and truly goes above and beyond. We will definitely be booking her again!

Many thanks for looking after Tyoma again. I can recommend Felicity to anyone with a cat. I love how reliable Felicity is, daily updates are not generic - these provide enough details I need to feel that my cat is looked after well, pictures are great too. I can truly be sure my cat is in good hands while I am away.

We can’t thank you enough, Hayley! It was such a comfort knowing our boys were in your care while we were away. Your regular updates and the lovely photos meant so much to us and really put our minds at ease. It’s clear how much you genuinely care, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you did. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to ask you again, thank you so much!

Absolute Star - Cat did a phenomenal job with Louis, responding with great care and efficiency when Louis became unwell with a tummy upset during his time with her. She looked after him as if he was her own beloved and I cannot recommend her highly enough. There aren’t enough stars available to capture the full extent of our gratitude and now, happily, Louis is fully recovered and I think he can’t wait to see Cat again so he can thank her

Rowen looked after Basil while we were away for 2 nights. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Care deserved 5 stars. Communication deserved 5 stars. Cake deserved 5 stars! We are considering hiding up in the loft and booking Rowen to look after Basil again, just for more cake. 😁 Seriously though, we would 100% recommend.

We couldn’t be happier with the care our cat received! Gianni took care of her for 3 weeks and did an amazing job. Our cat can be quite feisty with strangers, but he was so patient and managed to earn her trust. She has been happy and relaxed. I am always missing her when we are away, but Gianni was sending me loads of pictures ,of Willow everyday and helped me feeling lees sad. The house was left spotless, and our cat was in great condition when we returned. Truly reliable, caring, and professional. I can't recommend,Gianni, highly enough.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North East Somerset choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
