Holly was amazing with all the animals and I didn’t have to worry about them at all. She followed all the instructions to a T. I loved that she gave me regular photo updates. I came home and all the animals seemed so happy, even the ones that usually hold a grudge for a few days when I leave! The house and all the animals were cleaned when I came home which was a relief after a long flight! I will definitely be asking Holly to stay next time I go away :)

About: I’ve had dogs and Cats all my life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. 15+ years experience, fully insured and DBS checked + licensed. I give your pets the same love, attention, and care as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your dog loves long countryside walks, playing fetch, or simply curling up for a cuddle, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m experienced with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I’m committed to keeping owners updated with regular photos and messages so you can have complete peace of mind. Your pets happiness, safety, and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I work from home full time so whether your pet is with me at my house or I'm pet sitting at your house, I will be home throughout the entire day. I typically start my morning with a coffee and some pet social time, then head out for a morning walk depending on your pets typical schedule I'm open to walking at different times. I spend time with the dogs outside throughout the day and typically go for an evening walk to end the day off before dinner and relaxing. Fay was absolutely incredible! She was so patient and truly understood the needs all three of the dogs. They are different ages, breeds, temperaments so it was reassuring to know that they were in the best of hands. I would absolutely use her again. Her updates were thorough and put me at ease. Thanks Fay!

Beth has been brilliant on drop-ins to look after our cat Nika- Beth is friendly and communicative, and asks questions to give the best for the pet. On the visits Beth keeps us updated and gets on well with Neeks even though she often hides from new people. Beth takes comforting photos while there, which is nice when you’re away!

About: Hi, I’m Chanel, the owner of Paws & Care Trowbridge 🐶🐱 I’m a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter who genuinely loves animals of all shapes and sizes. I understand that leaving your pets with someone else can be a big decision, so I always aim to provide the same love, attention, and care that they receive from you at home. I offer pet sitting in your own home, dog walking, feeding visits, and companionship, ensuring your pets can stay in a familiar environment while you are away. I take the time to get to know each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs, whether that’s long walks, playtime, administering medication (where appropriate), or simply lots of cuddles and company. Over the years I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals, from energetic puppies to senior dogs, cats, birds, and other small pets. Every animal is different, and I pride myself on adapting my care to suit each one, giving owners complete peace of mind while they’re away. Communication is very important to me, so I regularly send updates, photos, and messages throughout your booking, allowing you to relax knowing your pets are happy, safe, and well looked after. Whether you’re away for a few hours, a weekend, or a longer holiday, I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry (or feathered!) family members. I run my own cleaning business which seems to work really well with pet sitting. You will always come back to a clean tidy home as well as a happy pet When dog sitting in your home, I follow your pet’s usual routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I make sure they get plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles, along with fresh water, meals at their regular times, and any medication if needed. I keep their environment clean and calm, and send you regular updates and photos so you know they’re happy and well cared for. My goal is to make sure your dog feels loved, secure, and stress-free until you return.

Richard was a perfect choice for drop-in visits for Rascal, particularly with his experience of re-homing stray and rescue cats, as he knows the vagaries of character and the nervous behaviour that can be shown. I felt very assured as soon as I met Richard, that all would be well whilst I was away. It was really nice to see photos of Rascal and to be reassured that he was coping with the change of person administering his daily routine and that all was well. Everything was neat and tidy and cleared away on my return. I would certainly recommend Richard for all pet duties, and I will be booking again in the future.

About: I have always had a passion for Animals. Even as a small child I was fascinated by animals of any type. At one point I had 3 dogs a cat and a hampster. In fact I refused to go to the dentist unless I had another pet!! 😂 Since then my passion for animals has grown. 15 years ago I decided that I would like to become a dog groomer. I have been doing this ever since and still love it. Since my Family are all grown up and flown the nest I decided it would be nice to do pet sitting as well which I enjoy very much. My beautiful dog Poppy was put to sleep 2 years ago and since then I have decided not to have another pet of my own for now. I get the enjoyment of looking after other people’s. I hope you will consider me to look after your precious pets. I can assure you I will love them like they are my own.. x I have recently become unemployed so I have found myself with a lot of free time and what better thing to do then spend my time with your gorgeous pets. It’s my passion and the thing that makes me the happiest. I would love the opportunity to look after your pets. I can assure you they will be well cared for and loved like they are my own. So I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. I don’t have a garden but I do have a lovely outdoor balcony. A perfect space for your dog to chill and lap up the sunshine. My surrounding area is mainly fields and beautiful walks just outside my door. I love to walk and will happily walk your dog as requested. I am not precious about my home and if you are happy for them to sleep on the sofa then so am i. I want your pet to feel at home. I am also happy to look after your pets in your home. I know how important this can be for some dogs especially if they suffer with anxiety. Being in the comfort of their own home is usually the best solution for them. I am very flexible and happy to fit in with your pets requirements.

About: I have been around animals literally my entire life! I grew up with dogs cats guinea pigs and horses! All of our family dogs including the dog I have now have been rescues so I am used to dealing with dogs who are more nervous or out of the 'norm'. I am also used to looking after senior dogs as my childhood dog Vera had dementia (who knew this was a thing in dogs!?) And she only had 1 eye for the last year of her life. I am currently working part time so I have lots of free time to check in on your pets/feed/give medication or take them for a walk. I drive and have my own car. Unfortunately my Romania rescue dogs in nervous of other dogs so I would only be able to walk your dog solo. Happy to just do a check in on your pets, let out for toilet etc or take out for a walk in our lovely countryside:)

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Wiltshire pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wiltshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
