“Holly was amazing with all the animals and I didn’t have to worry about them at all. She followed all the instructions to a T. I loved that she gave me regular photo updates. I came home and all the animals seemed so happy, even the ones that usually hold a grudge for a few days when I leave! The house and all the animals were cleaned when I came home which was a relief after a long flight! I will definitely be asking Holly to stay next time I go away :)”

“Richard was a perfect choice for drop-in visits for Rascal, particularly with his experience of re-homing stray and rescue cats, as he knows the vagaries of character and the nervous behaviour that can be shown. I felt very assured as soon as I met Richard, that all would be well whilst I was away. It was really nice to see photos of Rascal and to be reassured that he was coping with the change of person administering his daily routine and that all was well. Everything was neat and tidy and cleared away on my return. I would certainly recommend Richard for all pet duties, and I will be booking again in the future.”

About: I’ve had pets since I was born basically, I’ve had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, birds, tortoises, you name it I’ve had it! I’ve currently got 4 cats and living with my sister who owns 2 dogs and I just had a German Shepard that I cared for for 2 years until I moved back to Wiltshire I can do most Availabilities, I do have work throughout the week so will need a week or notice to confirm I’m available, I get my rotas 5 weeks in advance but can do mornings/evenings and can pop in to check on them even if I’m at work I am obsessed with my pets, never leave them alone, wether that’s playing, relaxing or walking them, I just enjoy their different personalities and company, I’m just a huge animal lover

“Beth gave us the confidence to leave motsi and ollie for the whole day knowing that she would be popping in to check on them - she sent us photos from each visit and when we got home we were met by two very excited doggies who didn't appear to have worried that we were not there - thank you Beth for giving us peace of mind.”
“Fay immediately won over Alfie and Poppy on the 1st meeting. She was gentle and friendly with them, noted their likes and dislikes, played with them during her visits and made sure they had a great time. Would 100% recommend.”

About: I've always had different types of pets, mostly dogs and always loved caring for them. I am patient, responsible and take my work with animals very seriously. I'm currently working as a volunteer a few days a week so I have a lot of time to play and walk your dogs! I will follow all instructions and rules when caring for your pet in your home and will do everything to make sure your pet is happy and taken care of.
“Ottilie did a great job. Everything was done for Suki. As she is a very nervous cat I was happy to see that she was not stressed when I returned home. I would ask Ottilie to cat visit for me again. I like the uodates and communication I had with Ottilie via my phone.”

About: I have 5 granddogs, 2 grandcats, 2 goddogs and numerous canine and cat nephews and nieces ( not blood of course, they are the furry kids of my friends). They’re family 😁 I work remotely as a geeky historical writer, so can be pretty much anywhere and what can be better than doing that whilst making new furry friends. I treat them as family, except when the sharing of food is the question. I don’t share food, just like my English goddog, Percy, doesn’t share his bone. With regard to communication - the number listed is now obsolete - my new number is Colombian because I live in Colombia for six months each year - Unfortunately Rover does not have a Colombia option. So best to email me or communicate through Rover.
“Paige looked after Sybil well and sent photos for us while we were away. Would rebook with her again as she seems to have a genuine warmth for animals and a trustworthy nature.”

“Rowen looked after Basil while we were away for 2 nights. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Care deserved 5 stars. Communication deserved 5 stars. Cake deserved 5 stars! We are considering hiding up in the loft and booking Rowen to look after Basil again, just for more cake. 😁 Seriously though, we would 100% recommend.”

About: As someone who has owned pets my whole life and previously worked with a variety of farm animals in a Alternate Provision setting, I have developed the skills and confidence needed to provide attentive, reliable care to all animals. More importantly, I genuinely love the company of animals and will make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for while you’re away on holiday or at work. Having pets that have been part of my own support network, I understand that animals are truly part of the family. I will always ensure they receive the same level of love, attention and care that you give them. I have always wanted to work with animals, and I am now fortunate to be at a stage in life where I can dedicate my time to helping care for other people’s pets. We are a household of animal lovers and currently have a miniature sausage dog, a Labrador, and three cats. As a family we spend a lot of time walking our dogs and they are a huge part of our daily life. The cats also play a large role in our day to day living, from demanding cuddles to making themselves comfortable in someones arms or laps. All of them have such wonderful (and sometimes a little weird) personality's. Having previously worked on a smallholding, I am well prepared for muddy walks and all kinds of weather. I also own a 4x4, which means I can safely transport dogs on countryside adventures if appropriate. I also love taking pet photos so will be more than happy to keep you updated with pictures. Ultimately I have been in your shoes and needed to have someone care for my pets, so I totally understand the anxiety that comes with this. You need to feel as comfortable with me as your pets so I am more than happy to come and meet you and your pet together before you commit to booking. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your pets. I’m currently transitioning away from full time work, which means I have much more flexibility in my schedule. This allows me to be available at times that suit you and your pet’s routine, whether that’s daytime visits, walks, or care while you’re away. I’m happy to be flexible and work around your pet’s usual schedule to make sure they have a continuity of care. When caring for pets in your home, I always aim to keep their routine as close as possible to what they are used to. I will follow any guidance you provide around feeding, walks, playtime, and rest so your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. For walks, I’m happy to follow your preferences regarding leads, harnesses, and where you normally take your dog. If you have favourite routes or places your dog enjoys, I’m very happy to stick to those. I will always prioritise safety, using leads where requested and making sure your dog is secure at all times. I will also ensure their safety when entering and exiting your home if they are an indoor pet. I will take the time to understand each pet’s individual personality. Some love lots of play and attention, while others prefer a quieter approach. I’m always happy to adapt to what makes your pet feel most relaxed. Above all, I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, cared for and well looked after until you return.
“Amber was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter. She was very communicative and accommodating throughout. Our cat was quite stressed in our new house, and even though we only booked 30-minute visits, she stayed much longer to make sure he was calm and settled. She also helped with a few things we meant to take care of before leaving but forgot, which was a huge help. She kept everything tidy and cleaned up after the cat, so the house was in great shape when we came home. Truly went above and beyond. A fantastic sitter we’d happily recommend.”

“Emily has been so great! Always keeps me posted and Missy seems to really like her. Emily is a natural as Missy NEVER sits for a pic for me but my updates from Emily, Missy is always posing so speaks volumes. Def made the right choice in having Emily visit Missy for me when I can’t. Really happy with the service from Emily and can’t rate her highly enough!”

About: I have nearly 9 years’ experience caring for my own Terrier cross, along with over 3 years’ experience with my Staffy cross. Alongside this, I’ve also been looking after friends’, family and friends of friends dogs for over 8 years, giving me plenty of hands on experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My Staffy previously struggled with anxiety, so I’ve spent time training and building her confidence. She now thrives around other dogs, meaning I’m experienced with nervous or anxious pets and understand the importance of patience, reassurance, and routine. Dogs in my care are treated like part of the family. I offer a true home from home environment where dogs are welcome in all areas of the house (as long as they are toilet trained) and get plenty of love, attention, and comfort. I live in a quiet rural area with a fully fenced garden and secure bolted gate, plus access to nearby fields for walks, perfect for both exercise and relaxed sniffy walks depending on your dog’s needs. What you can expect when your dog stays with me: * 🐾 Daily photo and video updates so you can relax knowing they’re happy * 🐾 I follow your dog’s usual routine (feeding, walks, sleep times) to keep things consistent * 🐾 Plenty of walks, playtime, and calm downtime depending on their personality * 🐾 Experience with anxious dogs, I take introductions and settling in at their pace * 🐾 Flexible drop off and pick up times where possible * 🐾 Meet & greets available before booking for peace of mind We are a calm household with two friendly, well socialised dogs and two adults. I’m currently focusing on dog care as this is something I’m genuinely passionate about. Your dog will be welcomed into our home and cared for as if they were our own, with lots of love, attention, and updates while you’re away. Currently looking for new employment, however. I want to focus more so on dogs than corporate employment as dogs are my passion and bring joy to me day I have a fenced garden with a bolted gate in a quiet rural street. 2 dogs, both friendly and welcoming, child free home with 2 adults only. Home from home experience, the dogs can roam all rooms and all furniture as long as toilet trained. Can take walks in fields and bring them to be a part of our family for their time with us.
“Ash did a drop in visit to our 4 furbabies. This is the first time ever that we’ve had to leave our babies for quite a while so I left some lengthy instructions for Ash, all of which were followed to the “T” ash did a wonderful job and our babies were quite content when we got home. We have another 2 days booked in with Ash”

“Janie dropped in & fed our cat Bella over 4-5 days whist we were away, and she was fantastic! She messaged us each time she came with a report on how Bella was doing, & sent us lots of pictures too. Bella is quite a nervous cat, but Janie was able to get her to relax with her really quickly, and when we came home Bella seemed totally at ease & unconcerned that we’d been away. Absolutely brilliant, we’d definitely ask Janie to look after Bella again, and our dog Otis, if we aren’t taking him with us next time!”

Wiltshire pet owners share their Rover experiences
We had the pleasure of having Hollie look after our cats over the weekend, and she was absolutely brilliant. From the start, we felt we were in safe hands. Hollie was warm, friendly, and clearly cared deeply about the well-being of our cats. She listened thoughtfully to our concerns and followed our instructions with care and professionalism. Even when access to our home was unexpectedly complicated by road closures due to the Melksham Carnival, she handled the situation calmly and resourcefully, making sure the cats were still well looked after. Hollie went above and beyond, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use her again. Highly recommended.
