“Beth was fantastic with our young pup Alfie! She was super friendly, and took the time to meet Alfie before our booking to get to know him and his needs. We would definitely trust Beth to look after our pup again. Highly recommend :)”

“Naomi was wonderful with our girl Hecate, she gave regular updates to the best of her ability as Hecate decided to give her a bit of a hard time. She was very upfront with everything and there wasn't an issue at all despite our cat being antisocial We would definitely hire Naomi again!”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats my entire life and have experience with numerous different breeds! I am energetic and love the outdoors, so long dog walks on my cup of tea! Happy to play with, walk and care for dogs, cats and other pets! Have housesit for family, friends and neighbours and am very considerate and respectful. I have just finished my A-levels and have the summer stretching ahead of me so am very flexible with times and dates. I buy am self employed running an online business which I can do from anywhere and I drive. I’m happy to stay at your house and care for your house along side, your pets or to drop in for a few hours at a time depending on your needs. I’m happy to walk dogs for varying lengths, again dependent on your needs throughout the day and I am very responsible.
“Carol was an excellent sitter. From our first interaction, Carol came across very easy going and very accommodating to meet all of our needs. She did a great job looking after, keeping us updated. Dogs had plenty of walks, despite one of ours being very over excitable and pulling on the lead still being a work in progress! We came back to a very clean and tidy home and two happy doggies. We would definitely recommend Carol. Thank you 😊”

“Sophie was great with our young dog! She really pays attention and left lots of updates and snuggles to her. Maeve loves Sophie because of how caring she is, she’s trustworthy around the house, thank you for going the extra mile and leaving the house lovely and tidy too! Will book again!!”

“Lily provided really good care for my dog while staying in my home for a few days. Her communication was good, providing me with updates when I asked for them. My dog clearly bonded with them and maintained their normal routine without any stress. I also appreciated coming back to a beautifully tidy home. Lily is trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring. I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again.”

“Lucy and Dom have taken care of my little beagle Jackson twice now, house sitting over a few nights. They have been very detail-orientated with the planning, great at communicating prior to and during the stays, and I've come back to a tired and happy pup on both occasions! The house has also been left spotless both times. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.”

“Katie did a wonderful job babysitting our dog - he's a nervous boy but he warmed to Katie and her partner really quickly. They sent lots of updates and when we got home, he was happy and settled. Would definitely hire again :)”

Daisy loved spending time with her, cuddles and treats, Amy made sure Daisy felt safe and cared for. Daisy even enjoyed walking in the pouring rain with her which is not her favourite activity! Thank you Amy, it was so wonderful knowing how looked after Daisy was being.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Wiltshire
Hollie was brilliant! She was very responsive to all messages pre booking. That included talking on the phone and a dog walk together before to get to know Louie. This made us feel at ease as we’d met Hollie before we went away and she got on well with Louie. Hollie stayed for 9 days at our house and followed all our preferences/instructions and even watered all our plants during the heatwave. Gave Louie early morning an evening walks when it was cool as it was during the heatwave. The house was left tidy and clean as we’d left left it. I would definitely recommend Hollie and use her again. Thank you 🙂

We couldn’t be more grateful to have found Hollie! This was our first time leaving our two rescue dogs, and I was incredibly anxious about it - but Hollie was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. She went above and beyond to make sure both we and the dogs felt comfortable, visiting three times before our trip to get to know them and their routine. Nothing was too much trouble - she followed all our instructions to the letter and kept us regularly updated with messages and photos while we were away. In fact, the dogs looked so relaxed and happy in the photos that I started to worry we might not be missed at all! We returned to a spotless home and two very content dogs - it was clear they'd been truly cared for. Knowing Hollie was looking after everything so well meant we could fully enjoy our holiday. Highly, highly recommended.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Wiltshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wiltshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
