“Richard was absolutely brilliant. Took such good care of Jessy. He eally understands dogs through his experience of working with and having animals himself. He was so helpful. I would reccomend him to anyone”

About: As someone who has owned pets my whole life and previously worked with a variety of farm animals in a Alternate Provision setting, I have developed the skills and confidence needed to provide attentive, reliable care to all animals. More importantly, I genuinely love the company of animals and will make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for while you’re away on holiday or at work. Having pets that have been part of my own support network, I understand that animals are truly part of the family. I will always ensure they receive the same level of love, attention and care that you give them. I have always wanted to work with animals, and I am now fortunate to be at a stage in life where I can dedicate my time to helping care for other people’s pets. We are a household of animal lovers and currently have a miniature sausage dog, a Labrador, and three cats. As a family we spend a lot of time walking our dogs and they are a huge part of our daily life. The cats also play a large role in our day to day living, from demanding cuddles to making themselves comfortable in someones arms or laps. All of them have such wonderful (and sometimes a little weird) personality's. Having previously worked on a smallholding, I am well prepared for muddy walks and all kinds of weather. I also own a 4x4, which means I can safely transport dogs on countryside adventures if appropriate. I also love taking pet photos so will be more than happy to keep you updated with pictures. Ultimately I have been in your shoes and needed to have someone care for my pets, so I totally understand the anxiety that comes with this. You need to feel as comfortable with me as your pets so I am more than happy to come and meet you and your pet together before you commit to booking. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your pets. I’m currently transitioning away from full time work, which means I have much more flexibility in my schedule. This allows me to be available at times that suit you and your pet’s routine, whether that’s daytime visits, walks, or care while you’re away. I’m happy to be flexible and work around your pet’s usual schedule to make sure they have a continuity of care. When caring for pets in your home, I always aim to keep their routine as close as possible to what they are used to. I will follow any guidance you provide around feeding, walks, playtime, and rest so your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. For walks, I’m happy to follow your preferences regarding leads, harnesses, and where you normally take your dog. If you have favourite routes or places your dog enjoys, I’m very happy to stick to those. I will always prioritise safety, using leads where requested and making sure your dog is secure at all times. I will also ensure their safety when entering and exiting your home if they are an indoor pet. I will take the time to understand each pet’s individual personality. Some love lots of play and attention, while others prefer a quieter approach. I’m always happy to adapt to what makes your pet feel most relaxed. Above all, I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, cared for and well looked after until you return.

You can relax knowing your pets are getting the love and companionship they deserve. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life — I’ve grown up around animals and still spend time with pets every day. Caring for them fits easily into my weekly routine because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritise. I make time for regular walks, play, and companionship, and to fit in feeding schedules, toilet breaks, and special routines. Whether it’s a quick daily visit, a long walk, or overnight care, I will adjust my routine to make sure pets always get the attention and consistency they need. 🩷 In a pet owner’s home, I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible — from feeding times and walks to play, cuddles, and rest. I make sure their environment stays safe, clean, and comfortable, and I keep them company so they feel secure while their family is away. If I’m house sitting, I also take care of the home itself by keeping it tidy, watering plants, and ensuring everything is left just as you’d expect. My goal is always to provide loving, reliable care so pets stay happy in their familiar surroundings and owners have complete peace of mind.
