“Holly was amazing with all the animals and I didn’t have to worry about them at all. She followed all the instructions to a T. I loved that she gave me regular photo updates. I came home and all the animals seemed so happy, even the ones that usually hold a grudge for a few days when I leave! The house and all the animals were cleaned when I came home which was a relief after a long flight! I will definitely be asking Holly to stay next time I go away :)”

“Beth has been brilliant on drop-ins to look after our cat Nika- Beth is friendly and communicative, and asks questions to give the best for the pet. On the visits Beth keeps us updated and gets on well with Neeks even though she often hides from new people. Beth takes comforting photos while there, which is nice when you’re away!”

“Richard was a perfect choice for drop-in visits for Rascal, particularly with his experience of re-homing stray and rescue cats, as he knows the vagaries of character and the nervous behaviour that can be shown. I felt very assured as soon as I met Richard, that all would be well whilst I was away. It was really nice to see photos of Rascal and to be reassured that he was coping with the change of person administering his daily routine and that all was well. Everything was neat and tidy and cleared away on my return. I would certainly recommend Richard for all pet duties, and I will be booking again in the future.”

“Fay immediately won over Alfie and Poppy on the 1st meeting. She was gentle and friendly with them, noted their likes and dislikes, played with them during her visits and made sure they had a great time. Would 100% recommend.”

“Paige looked after Sybil well and sent photos for us while we were away. Would rebook with her again as she seems to have a genuine warmth for animals and a trustworthy nature.”

“We booked Sophie to do a drop/m-in visit for our cat and were really pleased with the whole process. She responded quickly, ensured she had all the information before visiting and kept us up to date during the visit. She is clearly a natural with pets as our cat tends to be nervous around strangers, but he warmed to her quickly.”

About: I’ve had dogs and Cats all my life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. 15+ years experience, fully insured and DBS checked + licensed. I give your pets the same love, attention, and care as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your dog loves long countryside walks, playing fetch, or simply curling up for a cuddle, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m experienced with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I’m committed to keeping owners updated with regular photos and messages so you can have complete peace of mind. Your pets happiness, safety, and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I work from home full time so whether your pet is with me at my house or I'm pet sitting at your house, I will be home throughout the entire day. I typically start my morning with a coffee and some pet social time, then head out for a morning walk depending on your pets typical schedule I'm open to walking at different times. I spend time with the dogs outside throughout the day and typically go for an evening walk to end the day off before dinner and relaxing. About: I have 5 granddogs, 2 grandcats, 2 grandpigs, 2 goddogs and numerous canine and cat nephews and nieces (not blood of course, they are the furry kids of my friends). They’re family 😁 Usually only available between June and January as I live in Colombia January to May. However do feel free to ask, especially if the dates that you require are close to the limits. If I'm here I can adapt my schedule. I work remotely as a geeky historical writer, so can be pretty much anywhere and what can be better than doing that whilst making new furry friends. I treat them as family, except when the sharing of food is the question. I don’t share food, just like my English goddog, Percy, doesn’t share his bone. With regard to communication - the number listed is now obsolete - my new number is Colombian because I live in Colombia for six months each year - Unfortunately Rover does not have a Colombia option. So best to email me or communicate through Rover.
“Ottilie is a great communicator and did a brilliant job of looking after my ragdoll cat. She sent lots of photos and really put my mind at ease that he was in good hands and having fun. Thank you!”

About: I've completed a T level in Animal Management and Behaviour, alongside 315 hours of work experience at a dog day care and at the Bath Cats and Dogs Home (RSCPA). This means I'm experienced handling all kinds of behaviours and breeds. I'm a very physically active person so can do as long or as short walks as needed, I completed the bath half marathon back in march and walk over 10k steps a day. Other experience includes a week's volunteering at a cattery and dog sitting/walking while friends and family go on holiday. My own pets include a bichon and maltese mix, a tabby cat and a 10 year old pony. I'm at home most of the day so can be flexible on timings, I can work around whatever suits you. I am using this as a way to get experience before I set up my own dog walking business at the end of this year. I can easily follow instructions and care for your pets however you wish, making sure I stick to their normal routines. If there are certain walks or areas you would prefer me to exercise your dog in I will happily stick to them.
“Victoria has been brilliant with Ella - though Ella is close to passing due to a chronic kidney condition. Her days brighten up when Victoria comes to visit. Always reliable and very kind.”

“Ash did a drop in visit to our 4 furbabies. This is the first time ever that we’ve had to leave our babies for quite a while so I left some lengthy instructions for Ash, all of which were followed to the “T” ash did a wonderful job and our babies were quite content when we got home. We have another 2 days booked in with Ash”

About: I've always been around and responsible for animals since I was young, living with dogs and going on to work in the local yard. I worked with horses and dogs mostly, and picked up valuable skills in care and responsibility, which has allowed me to be comfortable and confident when taking care of animals. I'm trustworthy and hardworking but also fun and love the outdoors. I love going for walks and being around animals, dogs in particular, they bring such a positive, infectious atmosphere which enhances my passion and interest in animal care. Looking after a variety of animals and breeds of dogs has taught me to be able to adjust my behaviour and responsibility depending on the individual dogs needs. I have a huge passion for animals (especially dogs!) which helps me to succeed in roles such as these as they get my undivided attention whilst in my care. I work from home and I have flexible schedules with work allowing me to completely accommodate to the animals needs. I am able to provide as many or little walks a day as the owner wishes. I have a fenced garden, a conservatory, and the dogs will be able to have full aceess to the house and sofas or beds if this is what they are used to at their home

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
