About: Daily routine care for my pet rabbit and experience with cat sitting and occasional dog sitting for friends and family. I have also had various small pets previously. I’ve recently left education and am now working part-time with minimal commitments through the week so I am available for both long and short stays! I love animals and give them my full attention and respect, lots of hugs and cuddles! I’m quite active and hyper aware of my surroundings meaning that I’m always looking out for anything that would put me or the pets in harms way.

About: I have over 6 years’ experience living with and caring for dogs in a family home and regularly look after my parents’ dog in my own home. I’ve also helped care for pets for family and friends, including feeding, walks, playtime and keeping to their usual routines. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and understand that every pet is different. My home is already well set up for pets and I know how important it is for owners to feel comfortable knowing their pet is safe, happy and well looked after while they’re away. I am mostly available for boarding and sitting over the weekend but my partner also works from home and has flexible working arrangements during the week and would be able to look after a pet from our home where needed or come and visit your pet to let them out for loo breaks and take them for walks. My partner and I dog sit frequently at my own home so the house is safe and well equipped for dog/pet sitting. There is nothing particularly fancy I would be concerned about a pet damaging we have been used to all kinds of messes. The house is locked, there is plenty of clear floor space and we have a sizable fully fenced off garden that a dog can be let outside freely without need for close monitoring. I am confident dog sitting in other homes also, being responsive to any mess, leaving the home in good condition and making sure the owners dog or cat is looked after and feels relaxed.

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. Since childhood, my family and I have cared for and helped many stray and rescued cats and dogs, so I have plenty of hands-on experience being around animals with different personalities and needs. I understand that every pet is different. Some are energetic and playful, while others need more patience and time to feel comfortable with someone new. I’m attentive, active and caring, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and your instructions carefully. I currently offer dog walking, drop-in visits and care in your pet’s own home. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, some playtime, feeding or simply company and attention, I’ll make sure they are treated with care and kindness. I’m also happy to send regular photos and updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. 🐾 I work full-time on a varied shift schedule, but I plan my availability in advance and keep my Rover calendar up to date. I’m available for dog walks and drop-in visits around my work schedule, including selected mornings, evenings and days off. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s routine and find times that work well for both of us. Your pet’s safety, comfort and routine will always be my priority. I will carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, house rules and any individual needs or behaviours I should be aware of. When visiting your home, I will treat both your pet and your space with care and respect, making sure doors, gates and leads are always secure. I’m also happy to send photos and updates during or after every visit, so you know how your pet is doing. 🐾

About: I have looked after animals for years and I also have a Level 3 Animal Care Qualification. Im a pet lover with four fur babies of my own, I can offer personalised dog/cat sitting and walking services, specialising in tailoring walks to match your pet's needs and preferences. Ensuring a unique and attentive experience for your fur babies. Im also fully insured to look after your pets! I work full-time but WFH, with weekends off so I am quite flexible. Full-time work doesnt affect my ability to care for them on a weekday. On a weekday I have a schedule that I follow which is a 6-7 am walk for an hour and another hour walk after work in the afternoon between 5-7 pm. I am unable to look after pets at my place therefore looking after them at owners home is preferable. I will make sure to give lots of playtime, cuddles and attention when needed but also if pet needs space then thats also okay with me 💓

Lindsay has been an absolute gem to find in caring for our elderly cat.Our cat has throughly enjoyed having Lindsay caring for her and as the usual takes a while to warm up to new people in general. However, my cat warmed very quickly to Lindsay even making us look like complete frauds with how quick 😆. Lindsay, from the start was professional minded wanting to come a meet and greet our cat and us the owners. Asking general habits and routine and this was great as it was good to know who was looking after her whilst we traveled. With us being away for 10 days, we needed someone who would understand our old lady cat and felt that when talking with Lindsay around her own experiences she was a great match. During the time we were away, Lindsay kept in great contact and communicated well around our cats time with her and each time was lovely to see and know she was well cared for. Thank you Lindsay, we will certainly be having your care in the future for Puss Puss she absolute loved you caring for her 😊

About: After the sudden passing of my soul dog, Teddy, in August of 2024, I’ve found so much peace when with other dogs. I’d like to say I’m a warm-hearted, genuine and caring animal lover with a specific soft spot for dogs. I’ll always favor a dog over a human - sorry! I work part time, mostly just weekends currently, so I have a lot of spare time in the weekday that I would love to spend helping you out with your furry friends! I have a lovely fenced garden with plenty of space, and am more than happy to adjust to any requirements your furry friend might need! Same goes for home visits, any requirements needed is absolutely fine by me - just let me know!

About: I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had pets—dogs, cats, and hamsters—so I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for a variety of animals from a young age. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to meet their unique needs, from feeding and grooming to providing plenty of love and attention. I’ve also had the opportunity to pet sit for friends, family, and neighbors, which has allowed me to expand my experience even further. I’ve taken care of pets with different temperaments and needs, from energetic puppies that need lots of playtime to older cats that prefer a quiet, calm environment. I’m comfortable administering basic medications, following specific care routines, and ensuring pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. My goal as a pet sitter is to provide a stress-free experience for both the pets and their owners. I understand how important it is to maintain a pet’s routine and provide them with the care they’re used to, so they can feel secure and loved, even when their family isn’t around. My name is Amber, I am absolutely thrilled to offer my services as a pet sitter. I’ve always been an animal lover, and spending time with pets brings me so much joy. Growing up, I was surrounded by dogs, cats, even hamster & gecko, so I’ve learned how to care for a variety of furry friends. Whether it’s going on walks, playing, or just being there for some good cuddles, I truly enjoy every moment spent with animals. My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from my deep love for pets and the desire to help busy pet owners feel at ease knowing their fur babies are in good hands. I understand that every pet is unique, with their own personalities and needs, and I’m dedicated to giving them the love and attention they deserve. I’ve had previous experience pet sitting for friends and family, and I know how important it is to follow specific routines and care instructions. I do require that all pets I take in are vaccinated, just to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member and provide them with all the care and love they need while you’re away! When I care for pets, whether in my home or a pet owner's home, I always prioritize making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I understand that each pet has its own routine and preferences, so I make sure to stick closely to what they're used to. When caring for pets in their own home, I take extra care to maintain their normal routine. I follow any specific instructions provided, from feeding and walking schedules to medication and special care needs. I also make sure to spend quality time with them, so they don’t feel lonely while their family is away. I keep the house clean and tidy, and I’m always respectful of the pet owner’s space. My goal is to provide a seamless experience so that pets feel comfortable and happy, even in their owner’s absence.

Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
