“Rhea and her mum offered to take care of Roxy at the last moment and took care of her very well. Roxy usually is uneasy after she comes home from another place but this time she was very normal. I’m happy she felt comfortable in Rhea’s home. I would highly recommend their service ☺️”

“Hubert had a great time with Alex. She was really warm and lovely as a person. Alex took Hubert for a walk to Coate water, lots of pictures were sent and Hubert left very happy. Thank you Alex. We would definitely use you again if you’ll have us. Xx”

“Lidiya was absolutely brilliant! I made a last-minute enquiry, and she handled everything so well. She took great care of my puppy and kept me updated regularly, which gave me real peace of mind. Highly recommend! Thank you Lidiya.”

“Cara was amazing with my dog. Roxy absolutely loved and trusted her with all I heard. Booked at the last minute with her and she took care of Roxy well. Will love to bring Roxy to her again next time.”

“I am so delighted we've found Joanna. Our dogs absolutely loved spending the day eith her and her pup, they all got on so well. She had spare beds and blankets, toys etc for them to make them feel at home. Couldn't have been more at ease leaving them with her, and will definitely be booking again!”

“Very happy with Rebecca and her doggy day care. She was flexible in taking my last minute booking, which I was grateful for. It was the first time leaving my 7 month year old pup with someone and I couldn't be happier and was extremely well informed of how she was getting on during the time I was away. I will definitely book again and again with Rebecca”

About: Hi, Ours names are Wilson and Georgia. We don’t have dogsitting experience, but we have been loving dog parents for years. Our rescue Rufus lived to 17, which sadly died of cancer. And we now have Bud who is just over 4. We have always loved dogs, but we are a little biased towards Jack Russels. We have trained Bud from a puppy. Everyone who meets him says he is a nicely tempered dog and has a happy demeanour. However, he does love to bark to let us know someone is coming to the door. We both work part time and im currently working from home. We will have plenty of time for your little one. We can also give them as many walks as they need. We have a big fenced garden where they can sun bathe if they enjoy it. The house is cool if they struggle with the heat. They will also have Bud as a friend to keep them company. If you need a crate I have a big one available which we used to puppy train Bud. We are happy for them to be as comfortable as they want to be.
About: Dogs have been part of my life since I was little. Francisco (our PUG) joined the family and has been with us for 11 years. My husband grew up in a family of dog handlers for breed championships and had experience with Fila Brasileiros throughout his youth. Our daughter's passion for animals came through contact with Francisco, who is very caring and loving with all of them. I am the primary caretaker, with years of experience with dogs, but we live with a family, and together we have a special affection for little dogs. I'm available for boarding or short-term care. I work from home, currently on maternity leave, but my job is home-based, so I have the day and nigth available and flexibility to care for your furry baby. My away hours are short trips to the grocery store, taking my daughter to school, and things like that. I have a good-sized fenced yard with grass and paving. Our dog, Francisco, is extremely adorable and friendly, and a wonderful companion. Possibility of separating your dog from my dog's company if you prefer.
“Fritz our beagle had a lovely day! Made to feel very welcome and given the run of the large house and garden, and he was given toys to play with. He was taken on a couple of walks and we were sent photos and updates. Definitely recommend and we are already booking another day.”

“Mark looked after our puppy Emrys for the day. It’s such a relief to be able to leave Emrys with someone we were able to trust straight away. It’s evident Mark loves animals and we felt Emrys got the best care.”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Swindon
Rhea and her mum looked after Simba so well, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were both incredibly welcoming, kind and friendly from the moment we met them. Before the booking, Rhea was happy to arrange a meet and greet, which really helped put our minds at ease and gave Simba the chance to get to know them beforehand. They also kindly accepted our lastminute booking, which we really appreciated. Throughout Simba’s stay, they kept us updated with plenty of messages and lovely photos, which really put my mind at ease knowing he was happy and being well cared for. I would highly recommend Rhea to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter, and we would definitely book with her again. Thank you both so much for taking such great care of Simba!

Great to have our labradoodle Emrys spend the day with Mark and his family again. He had a brilliant time, well looked after and we’re very happy to have a trusted sitter in the books for future events. It’s great to be able to have Emrys socialise with other dogs in a safe environment. Thank you so much, Mark!

Joanna and Chris took great care of Donut today. We’ll definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. They sent loads of photos and videos throughout the day, which we really appreciated and helped keep us updated. As it was our first time using Rover, we were a little hesitant at first, but they made us feel completely confident and reassured that Donut was in good hands. Thank you both for taking such good care of Donut!

Ted has been to Sophie’s multiple times now and he is absolutely thrilled everytime we turn up at her door! Half the time he doesn’t even say bye to me because of the excitement of seeing Soph! She is the best and I 100% trust her 🤍 such a lovely girl and would re book again and again and again!

Laura looked after my 10 week old puppy Louie last minute. She took good care of him, his needs were met and his routine was implemented. He was loved and cared for and felt he was in safe hands. Louie missed Laura when we drove away. I would definitely recommend her.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
