“Reggie didn't want to get out the car when I got home because he was annoyed that I took him away from Michelle and Conan, his favourite ever friends. Looking forward to his next visit!”

“Duggee had a brilliant time. It was his first Doggy Day Care.... Joanna and Chris made his stay very comfortable and welcoming. Duggee had a blast with Ballie their lovely pup...running round the garden and going on a lovely walk. I highly recommend both Joanna and Chris to look after your fur babies . Definitely would let Duggee stay again.”

“Lidiya was absolutely brilliant! I made a last-minute enquiry, and she handled everything so well. She took great care of my puppy and kept me updated regularly, which gave me real peace of mind. Highly recommend! Thank you Lidiya.”

“I can highly recommend Kayleigh. She has a natural affinity with dogs and very considerate to their needs. My Lab cross goes to her once a week and has such a good time he is reluctant to leave!”

“She and her family are very friendly for us. My dog usually doesn't like to interact with other dogs, but she was showing interest in this family's dog. It's a sign that she's very relaxed. I would like to ask them to day care again!”

About: I have always grown up around dogs, we had newfoundlands when I was younger and then we had spaniels so very used to energetic dogs that need lots of stimulation. My children are always around dogs and understand how to behave around them. We home educate our girls so we are at home during the day for lots of walks and attention and plenty of love and cuddles. We live in a house with a large enclosed garden for them to run free and big grass parks nearby for walks. I am a home educator so I am at home during the day. I have 3 girls who absolutely adore dogs 10,6 & 4. I also have a king charles spaniel called Izzy who is 9 who is from with all dogs. I head out for a dog walk every morning to our local park and again after lunch. I am available every day as I am home unless we have holidays booked. I’m a stay at home mum so there will be at least 1 adult available to be with your dog at all times if required. We only have one dog at a time, or more if they are from the same household. This means your dog will have our full attention. We have a large enclosed garden so dogs are free to go outside securely.
“Fritz our beagle had a lovely day! Made to feel very welcome and given the run of the large house and garden, and he was given toys to play with. He was taken on a couple of walks and we were sent photos and updates. Definitely recommend and we are already booking another day.”

“John is a great sitter. Billy had a very happy day! Everything went well from start to finish -I had great directions to Johns house, and a warm welcome. Billy was very at home. Thank you!”

“Charlie was absolutely amazing! She stepped in at the last minute and was an angel with Freya. We got lots of video updates and Freya had the best time playing with other doggys, in the paddling pool and out on lovely walks! She was so tired and fulfilled after coming back! Will definitely book again when we are in the area! Thank you so much! Highly recommend ❤️”

“Mark looked after our puppy Emrys for the day. It’s such a relief to be able to leave Emrys with someone we were able to trust straight away. It’s evident Mark loves animals and we felt Emrys got the best care.”

Joanna and Chris took great care of Donut today. We’ll definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. They sent loads of photos and videos throughout the day, which we really appreciated and helped keep us updated. As it was our first time using Rover, we were a little hesitant at first, but they made us feel completely confident and reassured that Donut was in good hands. Thank you both for taking such good care of Donut!

Ted has been to Sophie’s multiple times now and he is absolutely thrilled everytime we turn up at her door! Half the time he doesn’t even say bye to me because of the excitement of seeing Soph! She is the best and I 100% trust her 🤍 such a lovely girl and would re book again and again and again!

Laura looked after my 10 week old puppy Louie last minute. She took good care of him, his needs were met and his routine was implemented. He was loved and cared for and felt he was in safe hands. Louie missed Laura when we drove away. I would definitely recommend her.

I left my dog with Olivia for the first time. Izzy seemed relaxed and happy when we went to collect her. We were able to enjoy our day out without any worry. We will definitely get in touch with Olivia again when we need someone to look after Izzy in the future.

There are 1,616 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Swindon. About 86% of Swindon sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Swindon commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
