Pet care experience
Animal lovers who enjoy long walks
We’ve both taken care of many different animals over our lives, from childhood dogs and hamsters, to fish and cats. We’ve now been looking after dogs on Rover since 2023 and absolutely love having the little, or big, balls of fur bounding around our house and garden with our pup. We enjoy creating challenging treat hunts as part of their daily activities, including sent trails or knotted up towels. We have experience with puppies, adult dogs and seniors really enjoy taking them for long walks. I have a lovely Labrador who is a huge fan of other dogs and will keep your dog company whilst they’re here. We’re also well experienced with dogs who have separation anxiety or who need that little extra care an attention.

A very big thank you to Jo and Chris and of course Bally for taking such good care of Barney whilst we were on holiday for 10 days. Barney was a very happy doggy and enjoyed having Bally as a playmate. Jo and Chris are such a lovely and chilled couple who entertained and made sure Barney was very well cared for and who we would thoroughly recommend.
Joanna and Chris took great care of Donut today. We’ll definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. They sent loads of photos and videos throughout the day, which we really appreciated and helped keep us updated. As it was our first time using Rover, we were a little hesitant at first, but they made us feel completely confident and reassured that Donut was in good hands. Thank you both for taking such good care of Donut!
Couldn’t recommend more. Joanna and Chris were so lovely and accommodating, great communication. My dog had a great time I don’t think he wanted to come home!
What a lovely couple. Bailey enjoys going to visit with them, he's off into their house without so much as a goodbye! Which is wonderful to see as it means that he is happy there.
They looked after our dog for a week and he had a great time. They sent regular updates including photos and videos. I would definitely recommend them

Schedule
I work from home with flexible hours and make sure I go for a long walk everyday around lunch time. When the weather gets better I like to work from the garden. I love to use brain breaks as regularly opportunities for play time with any dogs I’m looking after.

We have a fenced garden that can be accessed by French doors. We’re happy to leave these open or shut at all times if requested.

A typical day
Dogs -A typical day would include a long walk with lots of opportunities for your dog to take in all of the smells. Puzzles, with treats hidden encouraging mental stimulation. If you’re currently training your pet, short 10 minute training sessions peppered throughout the day so not to stress them or overwork. And lots of little play and cuddle sessions. Cats - depending on the cat, lots of pets and cuddles alongside plenty of naps of course! Treat puzzles for mental stimulation and lots of play sessions, encouraging them to be the natural hunters they are.
