About: Daily routine care for my pet rabbit and experience with cat sitting and occasional dog sitting for friends and family. I have also had various small pets previously. I’ve recently left education and am now working part-time with minimal commitments through the week so I am available for both long and short stays! I love animals and give them my full attention and respect, lots of hugs and cuddles! I’m quite active and hyper aware of my surroundings meaning that I’m always looking out for anything that would put me or the pets in harms way.
“Chelsea was great. Really good communication throughout her visits with lots of pictures/videos. Our cat was fed/looked after as asked. Would definitely recommend and would use Chelsea again. Thank you!”

“I felt like my cat was very much cared for with Zascha. She gave me updates and photos and I was reassured he was being very well looked after. Highly recommended and very much appreciated.”

About: I have over 6 years’ experience living with and caring for dogs in a family home and regularly look after my parents’ dog in my own home. I’ve also helped care for pets for family and friends, including feeding, walks, playtime and keeping to their usual routines. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and understand that every pet is different. My home is already well set up for pets and I know how important it is for owners to feel comfortable knowing their pet is safe, happy and well looked after while they’re away. I am mostly available for boarding and sitting over the weekend but my partner also works from home and has flexible working arrangements during the week and would be able to look after a pet from our home where needed or come and visit your pet to let them out for loo breaks and take them for walks. My partner and I dog sit frequently at my own home so the house is safe and well equipped for dog/pet sitting. There is nothing particularly fancy I would be concerned about a pet damaging we have been used to all kinds of messes. The house is locked, there is plenty of clear floor space and we have a sizable fully fenced off garden that a dog can be let outside freely without need for close monitoring. I am confident dog sitting in other homes also, being responsive to any mess, leaving the home in good condition and making sure the owners dog or cat is looked after and feels relaxed.
“From my initial enquiry Alex has been prompt, reliable and the perfect energy for my two mini dachshunds who need a calm but confident sitter. Il definitely be booking Alex again, thank you🌟”

“Beat is a good dog sitter who is willing to follow your instruction and request. She is good at communication and fast response. She kept me inform my dog update during the drop-in. It made me feel comfortable. Thanks.”

“We used Danieli to look after our cat whilst we were away on holiday. She was amazing with him (he is very timid) and gained his trust!! We were sent daily photos and updates, which gave us piece of mind that he was in good hands!! She also cleaned up around his litter tray and keep everything clean for him!! We will definitely be booking her again in future!!”

“Clare is super reliable and goes above and beyond to ensure that my cats are fed and have clean litter trays while I’m away. Clare has already helped me twice and I’d recommend her to all, if you’re looking for a pet sitter 😊”

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. Since childhood, my family and I have cared for and helped many stray and rescued cats and dogs, so I have plenty of hands-on experience being around animals with different personalities and needs. I understand that every pet is different. Some are energetic and playful, while others need more patience and time to feel comfortable with someone new. I’m attentive, active and caring, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and your instructions carefully. I currently offer dog walking, drop-in visits and care in your pet’s own home. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, some playtime, feeding or simply company and attention, I’ll make sure they are treated with care and kindness. I’m also happy to send regular photos and updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. 🐾 I work full-time on a varied shift schedule, but I plan my availability in advance and keep my Rover calendar up to date. I’m available for dog walks and drop-in visits around my work schedule, including selected mornings, evenings and days off. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s routine and find times that work well for both of us. Your pet’s safety, comfort and routine will always be my priority. I will carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, house rules and any individual needs or behaviours I should be aware of. When visiting your home, I will treat both your pet and your space with care and respect, making sure doors, gates and leads are always secure. I’m also happy to send photos and updates during or after every visit, so you know how your pet is doing. 🐾

About: I opened my pet services business 4 years ago, it was the best thing I ever did! Specialising in group walks in a safe and secure environment. Meaning dogs of all recall ability can socialise and run around with no worry of them running off. Also offering overnight pet care and pop ins for all types of animals. I own a pet care business so my daily and weekly routine literally revolves around other people’s pets. If your dog is friendly with others they are more than welcome to join me on my group walks to minimise time alone. I never leave a dog longer than 4 hours alone and will pop back for toilet breaks etc. I offer pet sitting in the owners home, therefore everything for your dog stays the same. I will follow a set routine if your pet has one and offer the same boundaries that you do for your pet.

“Lindsay has been an absolute gem to find in caring for our elderly cat.Our cat has throughly enjoyed having Lindsay caring for her and as the usual takes a while to warm up to new people in general. However, my cat warmed very quickly to Lindsay even making us look like complete frauds with how quick 😆. Lindsay, from the start was professional minded wanting to come a meet and greet our cat and us the owners. Asking general habits and routine and this was great as it was good to know who was looking after her whilst we traveled. With us being away for 10 days, we needed someone who would understand our old lady cat and felt that when talking with Lindsay around her own experiences she was a great match. During the time we were away, Lindsay kept in great contact and communicated well around our cats time with her and each time was lovely to see and know she was well cared for. Thank you Lindsay, we will certainly be having your care in the future for Puss Puss she absolute loved you caring for her 😊”

Honestly couldn’t recommend Beth enough, she is so reliable, caring and clearly went above and beyond to make sure our cat Oscar was happy and well looked after. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Oscar was relaxed and content when we got home, and it was obvious he had been given lots of love and attention. We are so grateful 💗

Marcela was a wonderful cat sitter! My cat is very shy, but she was so patient and caring with him and took great care of him. She kept me updated on how he was doing and sent me lovely photos and videos, which gave me complete peace of mind. Highly recommend!

Felicity did a wonderful job looking after Yager and Amelia. She was very communicative throughout the length of the booking, and I appreciated getting regular updates on how they were getting on. When I got home both cats seemed relaxed and happy, so they obviously trusted Felicity while she was taking care of them. Absolutely recommended, and I will call on Felicity again for future bookings!

This is the second year that Beatriz has looked after our dog. She was very flexible leading up to the booking as we needed to modify the arrangement which she was happy to do. Bruno was happy to be cared for by her and I received regular pupdates and photos. My daughter was home alone for the first time whilst I was away and between them they took good care of the animals. Thanks again Beatriz 🙏!

Considering this was a VERY last minute request, Rebekah could not have been more accommodating or kinder! She is simply lovely to communicate with and her love of all animals is absolutely obvious. I highly recommend Rebekah and I shall definitely use her again.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Swindon pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Swindon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
