About: Daily routine care for my pet rabbit and experience with cat sitting and occasional dog sitting for friends and family. I have also had various small pets previously. I’ve recently left education and am now working part-time with minimal commitments through the week so I am available for both long and short stays! I love animals and give them my full attention and respect, lots of hugs and cuddles! I’m quite active and hyper aware of my surroundings meaning that I’m always looking out for anything that would put me or the pets in harms way.
“From my initial enquiry Alex has been prompt, reliable and the perfect energy for my two mini dachshunds who need a calm but confident sitter. Il definitely be booking Alex again, thank you🌟”

“Beat is a good dog sitter who is willing to follow your instruction and request. She is good at communication and fast response. She kept me inform my dog update during the drop-in. It made me feel comfortable. Thanks.”

“Lidiya was exceptionally polite, friendly and showed signs of dog-handling expertise within minutes of meeting Theo. Absolutely life-saving service so I didn't have to leave my boy alone. Would recommend.”

“Beth is great! She kindly dropped in on my bouncy Labrador whilst I was out for the day. Great communication, really reliable and amazing with doggos! Alfie loved her, we would love to use her again. She also sent photos so I knew he was having a good time. Thanks for everything, I'd 100% recommend Beth to anyone :)”

“We had an amazing experience with Danieli while she cared for our cat during our time away. She came to our home each day and made sure our cat was well-fed, comfortable, and happy. What really stood out was the thoughtful care she provided—she sent us daily photo updates, which gave us so much peace of mind and helped us feel connected even while we were away. On top of that, she went above and beyond by offering to water our plants without us even asking. It’s clear she truly cares and takes pride in doing an excellent job. We came home to a relaxed cat and a house that looked just as we left it. Highly recommend Danieli to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and detail-oriented pet sitter. We’ll definitely be reaching out again next time we travel!”

“Lindsay has been an absolute gem to find in caring for our elderly cat.Our cat has throughly enjoyed having Lindsay caring for her and as the usual takes a while to warm up to new people in general. However, my cat warmed very quickly to Lindsay even making us look like complete frauds with how quick 😆. Lindsay, from the start was professional minded wanting to come a meet and greet our cat and us the owners. Asking general habits and routine and this was great as it was good to know who was looking after her whilst we traveled. With us being away for 10 days, we needed someone who would understand our old lady cat and felt that when talking with Lindsay around her own experiences she was a great match. During the time we were away, Lindsay kept in great contact and communicated well around our cats time with her and each time was lovely to see and know she was well cared for. Thank you Lindsay, we will certainly be having your care in the future for Puss Puss she absolute loved you caring for her 😊”

“Katie was very friendly and gave lovely updates while I was away. She was very caring with Dobby and gave him lots of attention. She was reliable with keeping to time and adjusting to Dobby's behaviour which was great. Would definitely book again, thanks Katie!”

About: I have over 6 years’ experience living with and caring for dogs in a family home and regularly look after my parents’ dog in my own home. I’ve also helped care for pets for family and friends, including feeding, walks, playtime and keeping to their usual routines. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and understand that every pet is different. My home is already well set up for pets and I know how important it is for owners to feel comfortable knowing their pet is safe, happy and well looked after while they’re away. I am mostly available for boarding and sitting over the weekend but my partner also works from home and has flexible working arrangements during the week and would be able to look after a pet from our home where needed or come and visit your pet to let them out for loo breaks and take them for walks. My partner and I dog sit frequently at my own home so the house is safe and well equipped for dog/pet sitting. There is nothing particularly fancy I would be concerned about a pet damaging we have been used to all kinds of messes. The house is locked, there is plenty of clear floor space and we have a sizable fully fenced off garden that a dog can be let outside freely without need for close monitoring. I am confident dog sitting in other homes also, being responsive to any mess, leaving the home in good condition and making sure the owners dog or cat is looked after and feels relaxed.

About: I have looked after dogs as well as cats since I was around 9 years old, whether it was my own or a neighbours or friends. I am a very playful and energetic person so I am always looking for a dog to encourage to have fun and get some exercise and run around with. I have looked after 40+kg dogs, which are xl bully crossbreeds however owner has given me permission to post them I am currently on maternity leave so my availability is pretty much always open however I do prefer a 2 day heads up however if a last minute booking is needed and im availabile then im happy to do it. I do not currently own any pets in my home as its not possible due to being in a flat, but safety of any animal is so important to me. When I had my pets I ensured we had a 12ft fence put in place due to other cats and dogs being in the neighbourhood. I am very strong and aware of my surroundings so I am always looking for danger or something that could become dangerous to ensure I can move us away from the situation.
About: I have always grown up around dogs, we had newfoundlands when I was younger and then we had spaniels so very used to energetic dogs that need lots of stimulation. My children are always around dogs and understand how to behave around them. We home educate our girls so we are at home during the day for lots of walks and attention and plenty of love and cuddles. We live in a house with a large enclosed garden for them to run free and big grass parks nearby for walks. I am a home educator so I am at home during the day. I have 3 girls who absolutely adore dogs 10,6 & 4. I also have a king charles spaniel called Izzy who is 9 who is from with all dogs. I head out for a dog walk every morning to our local park and again after lunch. I am available every day as I am home unless we have holidays booked. I’m a stay at home mum so there will be at least 1 adult available to be with your dog at all times if required. We only have one dog at a time, or more if they are from the same household. This means your dog will have our full attention. We have a large enclosed garden so dogs are free to go outside securely.

Second time Yasmin has looked after our cat Luna. Cannot fault her, came home to a super chilled cat each time (a rarity in our house!), Yasmin was brilliant with her - ands with us too, sending us photos and updates. Definitely highly recommend. Thank you Yasmin, such a superstar with felines and humans alike!

Considering this was a VERY last minute request, Rebekah could not have been more accommodating or kinder! She is simply lovely to communicate with and her love of all animals is absolutely obvious. I highly recommend Rebekah and I shall definitely use her again.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Swindon pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Swindon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
