About: My husband and I have our own dog, Monty who is an adorable and energetic 1 year old cockapoo. I have grown up with dogs all my life, from golden retrievers to labs, and many more with family and friends. I have experience with both puppies and older dogs, I have also had dogs with health conditions who required medication, so could distribute medication if required, depending on the type. My husband, Julian, will also help to look after any dogs who stay with us, but I will be the primary caregiver as I'm home all day. I work full time from home and my husband is a handyman so is in and out of the house. We typically walk Monty a couple of times a day if we do shorter walks, or if the weather permits we take him on a long, off lead walk around a large field once a day, with regular potty breaks. We have a decent sized garden and also have a green space out front for any dogs who don't like pooping in a garden (Monty doesn't 😂). As we already have a dog, having another would fit nicely into our existing routine. We have a 3 bedroom house with a secure, fenced garden that is free from anything that could harm a dog. We live nearby to many open green spaces as well and will happily walk your dog on or off lead, according to your preference. I am home during the day and pets will not be left alone without either myself or my husband here.

About: I have had dogs all of my adult life (large and small). I'm also a registered veterinary nurse which means I'm experienced in all aspects of dog care. I work part time in a veterinary practice but my husband who is a massive dog lover is retired and is home every day. There is always someone home to be with the dogs. We enjoy walking together. I have a fenced off secure grass garden which your lovely dog will enjoy, I'm willing to crate your dog if required. Your dog will be very much a part of the family.

About: I’ve been looking after dogs since I was 15 and have experience with all kinds of personalities, from energetic puppies to nervous rescue dogs who just need a bit of patience and reassurance. I also have an A-Level in Animal Management and Veterinary Care, so caring for animals has always been something I’m passionate about. I’m experienced in administering medication, sticking to feeding schedules, and keeping up with any training or routines your dog is used to. I know how important consistency is, especially when they’re away from home, and I’ll always do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I work from home, so your dog will rarely be left alone and will have plenty of company throughout the day. Whether they enjoy long walks, playing in the garden, or simply curling up for a nap, I’ll make sure they get the care and attention they need. We have a fully enclosed garden with no through traffic, giving dogs a secure space to explore and play. I also have my elderly guinea pig, Lola, who enjoys watching the world go by from her secure enclosure and is used to other animals being around. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, so I’ll always care for them as if they were my own. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos during their stay, so you can relax knowing they’re in safe hands. I work from home so I am always around. I will be able to provide my full attention to any animals I am looking after. I work from home so during the day your pet will never be left alone. My home is kept clean and risk free. I have a fenced in garden but your pet will never be left unsupervised outside. I enjoy walking so it’s completely dependent on your animals exercise needs but i’m happy to walk for hours if they need to.

This was the first time I had booked David and it worked out fantastically ! David was able to help at short notice and was nice and local to me. When we arrived Rosie was keen to get through the door before it was even opened! Once in she was instantly settled , it was like she was at home . David was very friendly and reassuring and Rosie was spoilt rotten. Lovely walks and treats . Apparently Rosie stayed by David’s side all day. I would definitely recommend David and would send Rosie to him again .

About: I grew up with dogs and I've had rescue dogs for most of life, unfortunately my last fur baby died a year ago. I will be getting another dog but not until next year, in the meantime I would love to take care of your babies like they were my own. I retired 2 years ago and I have lots of free time, I'm looking to help other people with their fur babies. I can be flexible and your precious pets would not be left for long periods. I have a small fenced garden with grass and fabulous walks on my doorstep. Happy to cater to every dogs individual needs. I have transport.

Fay did a brilliant job of looking after our two dogs for the day. They aren't the quickest to settle down with new people but Fay kept us updated and they were both very relaxed when we picked them up. She went out of her way to provide a paddling pool in the hot weather and really knows what she is doing when it comes to dog care. I highly recommend!

About: An experienced dog (& horse) owner loving dogs of ALL kinds. Particular interest in training and also in the rehabilitation of rescue dogs. I love caring for dogs in every stage of their life whether it’s a brand new puppy or an OAPooch. Working from home on flexible hours, I will be able to spend lots of time with your beloved pooch in between riding and caring for my horse, my own dog Maggie & my sons. I have a large car that can fit a crate in to take your dog for walks further afield. It also means that I can do home visits to play, let your dog out in the garden or just sit with them and give them some love for a time. I can also offer to take them to the groomers & stay with them or pick them up afterwards.

About: I’ve grown up around animals. I used to work at an animal shelter taking care of cats and dogs. I currently have a dog named Nash who is almost 7 and loves to play and go on adventures. I work from home Mon-Fri most weeks. I take our dog out every morning at 7am for an hour long walk and then again at lunchtime for 30 minute “sniff Safari” and again after work. Your dog will be apart of the family for however long they are with us, with cuddles, toys and a play mate. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of grass and a furry friend for your dog to play with. We also are lucky enough to have great walking paths at our doorstep.

About: I have always had a passion for Animals. Even as a small child I was fascinated by animals of any type. At one point I had 3 dogs a cat and a hampster. In fact I refused to go to the dentist unless I had another pet!! 😂 Since then my passion for animals has grown. 15 years ago I decided that I would like to become a dog groomer. I have been doing this ever since and still love it. Since my Family are all grown up and flown the nest I decided it would be nice to do pet sitting as well which I enjoy very much. My beautiful dog Poppy was put to sleep 2 years ago and since then I have decided not to have another pet of my own for now. I get the enjoyment of looking after other people’s. I hope you will consider me to look after your precious pets. I can assure you I will love them like they are my own.. x I have recently become unemployed so I have found myself with a lot of free time and what better thing to do then spend my time with your gorgeous pets. It’s my passion and the thing that makes me the happiest. I would love the opportunity to look after your pets. I can assure you they will be well cared for and loved like they are my own. So I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. I don’t have a garden but I do have a lovely outdoor balcony. A perfect space for your dog to chill and lap up the sunshine. My surrounding area is mainly fields and beautiful walks just outside my door. I love to walk and will happily walk your dog as requested. I am not precious about my home and if you are happy for them to sleep on the sofa then so am i. I want your pet to feel at home. I am also happy to look after your pets in your home. I know how important this can be for some dogs especially if they suffer with anxiety. Being in the comfort of their own home is usually the best solution for them. I am very flexible and happy to fit in with your pets requirements.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Wiltshire on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,545 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Wiltshire. About 86% of Wiltshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Wiltshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
