“Absolutely amazing hosts! We were in town for a rugby match. Out dog is a bit anxious, but settled really well and quickly with Erin and Andrew. They have been great with communication, shared photos and videos throughout the stay. 10 out of 10 hosts!”

“Francesca was a delight to communicate with. She kept me up to date throughout the day and made sure every need was met. I was surprised by the professional photos which were beautiful (maybe because he is so beautiful) but I must admit I have some amazing new wallpaper for my phone! Thank you so much for everything and so easy to relax knowing my boy was in great hands!”

“Ralphie had a genuinely fantastic day with Lesley, Alfie & Sparky. He had lots of walks which he loved and almost more importantly, a snuggly blanket to snooze on! Lesley kept us updated with photos and videos which was super reassuring. Will definitely book again!”

“Fantastic sitter! This was a last-minute booking, and she responded late in the evening, which was a huge help. She was warm, friendly, and communicative throughout, and was also very accommodating when I needed to change the drop-off time. Oscar was well looked after, and I'd highly recommend her.”

About: Hi! We're Emma, John and Marco, and we'd love to welcome your dog into our home. We live in a spacious apartment in Bath Riverside with a secure gated communal garden and plenty of parks for walks and playtime. We both work from home during the week, so your dog will enjoy lots of company and attention. As dog owners ourselves, we know how important it is to find someone you can trust. Having used sitters for Marco, we understand the anxieties associated with leaving your loved one with us and we will be sure to send you photos and updates throughout their stay. We've raised Labradors from puppyhood and are experienced with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Marco loves making new friends, from Chihuahuas to German Shepherds! We both work from home, so your dog will have company throughout the day and won't be left alone for long periods. Our daily routine includes walks in the morning (7–8am), at lunchtime (12–1pm), and again after work. And when the sun's out, we're always looking for an excuse to get outside for even more adventures. Marco has free run of our home, and any visiting dogs are treated the same. We keep our home clean, tidy and dog safe, with fresh water topped up throughout the day, and a robot vacuum keeping on top of the fur. As experienced dog owners, we're careful to keep food out of reach, tidy away cables, and make sure the house is puppy-proof. Your dog's safety is always our priority, so we only allow off-lead walks in secure, enclosed areas.
“Tim took great care of our doggy. He's back home looking tired and happy. Tim was really easy to communicate with, sent good pictures and kept us up to date throughout the day. Thank you!”

“Thanks Sarah for taking good care of Maple. We booked Sarah last minute when we were on our holiday in Bath. Sarah responded quickly and looked after Maple when we were out for dinner. Maple was content and sleepy after we picked her up. Maple was also happy with Sarah and Maple was lying on her belly which is a sign of a relaxed Maple - shows how at ease my pup was being with Sarah. When we’re next in Bath, we will seek out Sarah again - thank you!”

About: I've lived with and cared for animals since childhood and have always had a deep love for animals. After recently losing a beloved pet, I'm keen to share my home and affection with furry companions again. Dog sitting allows me to provide a loving, safe, and caring environment while helping owners feel confident their pets are in good hands. Every animal is treated like part of the family, with plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime, and care tailored to their needs. I have lifelong experience of caring for pets including, small fur animals, tortoises and large breed dogs. You will experience a home: which is lively and fun. I will be the main caregiver of the pets but this is a family home. I love animals so you can be confident that there will be plenty of attention around the clock. I spend a lot of time outdoors in nature, enjoying long walks which could accommodate your dog. I also enjoy cosy nights in where cuddles on the sofa are prioritised for cats and dogs. I will be the main caregiver for the animals coming into our home, but they will be adored by us all. My garden is secure with fences. It is large with plenty of space to chill outdoors. I live close to a large park, a cemetery (our dog loved it here) and a cycle track for walks nearby.

About: I’ve grown up loving animals and in a household full of cats. My family was even specialized in breeding rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, geese and chicks! I had a lovely Yorkshire terrier, Meggie, for 16 amazing years until 3 years ago. I also regularly dog sit for some of my closest friends on a semi regular basis, so I am used to different types of dogs and needs. I go on walks with them, feed them and play with them. I am comfortable with any special instructions you might have for your loved pet. I have also done long stay house sitting for families with feline members. And I am currently regularly taking care of two kittens for one of my friends as well. I am currently taking a gap year to concentrate on renovating my bungalow, so any animal company is more than a welcome distraction. The main bulk has now been done, so there is nothing dangerous for a pet that would need to stay here. I will make them feel right at home! I’m currently renovating my bungalow, so I can be very flexible and give your pet/s the attention and care they need, as well as have plenty of time for walks and play time. I have a large garden fenced, but it is also currently connected to my driveway, however if this is a problem and I am told in advance, I can make arrangements such as 10m leads. Whilst renovating, the big bulk of things is currently finished, so there is nothing dangerous around the house that will harm the animals.

About: Hi :) I’ve always loved dogs. I grew up with a mini poodle and now have a very sweet cockapoo named Cooper. I’ve also regularly looked after friends’ dogs, so I’m very used to caring for different breeds and personalities. Because I work from home, your dog will have company and attention throughout the day. I only take care of one dog at a time alongside my own, so they get plenty of focus and care. Alongside daily countryside walks, I make sure dogs are mentally stimulated with games, treat searches, and plenty of indoor play and affection. I know how hard it can be to leave your beloved pet, so I always send regular photo updates to help you feel relaxed and reassured while you’re away. I follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, and bedtime habits. I treat every dog as if they were my own and I genuinely love being around dogs more than I do people. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I work from home, so I’m present and available throughout the day. My own dog is already part of my daily life, so walks, feeding, play, and attention are naturally built into my schedule. Overall, pet care is a very natural part of my routine, and I make sure each dog feels calm, comfortable, and included in the day to day rhythm of the home. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and settled from the moment they arrive. I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, and any specific instructions from their owner. While they may be left alone briefly at times, it is never for long periods, and I always ensure they are comfortable and settled before leaving them.
“Richanne is lovely and her flat is situated in heart of Stratford new-built residential area with private courtyard which is more than I expected. She's able to satisfy my long line of questions and go along with how to manage my puppy who has severe separation anxiety. Will be booking with her again.”

“I really appreciate Natalie — my puppy enjoys going to her place and is super relaxed when I pick her up. Natalie has two lovely senior dogs that I’m sure can’t wait until my puppy is grown up!! Communication is always clear and prompt. Natalie has a willing, can-do attitude and is very knowledgeable about all things dogs.”

“Renata was great with comms leading up to the sit. although she had not looked after Billy before I was very confident handing him over after Renata took onboard the tips and instructions and asked sensible questions. She kept in touch with us through the day which is always reassuring. Will be really happy if she can sit for Billy again.”

About: I've had dogs as pets and taken care of other dogs since the age of 6, I don't want to get another full time pet but I miss the companionship terribly. I'm no Caeser Milan but I feel dogs respect my authority and temperment despite the fact Im such a softy! I am self employed and work from a home office. I am available 7 days a week and will try and accommodate anyone - even last minute! I'm fortunate that I can dictate my work hours so I can spend as little or as much time as your dog needs. We can energetically play in the garden and go for numerous walks or if they're older and just need a little company they can sit and be stroked all day. I have a large garden, grass and heavily shaded areas. The lawn is surrounded by hedges rather than fences though and deer do manage to find there way in during the night so your dog would never be in the garden unattended unless pre-determined they were the type with good recall. For those inquisitive dogs determined to escape I have a 10m lead! The house is warm and cosy with wood floors. Though strict on request I'm equally more than happy for a dog to sleep anywhere if it makes them happier.
“Brigitte looks after my two dogs so my partner and I could visit a Bath museum during our trip to Bath. Brigitte is very friendly, and my girls seem to have fun during daycare. thank you!”

About: I’ve always had pets in my family growing up and as I’ve grown, my love for dogs and animals has grown also! My friends have always trusted me with their pets whilst on vacation and I’ve always been thrilled to give their loved animals the best experience and a big amount of love while they’re away. I have a big space and fenced garden to have lots of play time and fun! I’m a university student with a flexible schedule outside of my classes, so I have plenty of time to give pets the attention they deserve. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting during most weekdays and weekends, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding routines, medication, walks or playtime. I understand that every pet is different, so I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, secure and loved while in my care. I’ll also keep your home clean, tidy and respected if I’m caring for your pet there. If your baby is with me, we have a large fenced garden to play around in, as well as many nearby parks!

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Bath
We felt really good about leaving our dog Riley with Erin and Andy - they asked good questions and were flexible to Riley’s needs. We got pictures throughout the day of what was happening, and they kept her safe and entertained. They accommodated us coming to pick her up late while we were at a wedding. Would recommend and book again ☺️

Simply the best. She’s such a good communicator, sends periodic updates and photos. We felt at ease and reassured that our fur child was happy and well cared for. Thank you! Should we visit Bath again and Francesca is available, I would seek her services unreservedly.

Jessica was absolutely fantastic! This was my first time using both the app and a dog sitter for my puppy, Stella, and she made the whole experience completely stress-free. She sent regular updates and lovely photos throughout the day, so I always knew Stella was happy and well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Jessica again and will definitely be using her on a regular basis. Highly recommend!

Fantastic sitter! This was a last-minute booking, and she responded late in the evening, which was a huge help. She was warm, friendly, and communicative throughout, and was also very accommodating when I needed to change the drop-off time. Oscar was well looked after, and I'd highly recommend her.

We had a great experience with Manogya looking after Oscar. She was friendly, communicative, and very responsive from start to finish, which made everything so easy. Oscar took to her straight away, and it was clear she was confident and caring with him. I felt completely reassured knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy dog sitter. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've had Laura as a dog sitter several times now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She's always friendly, responsive, and reliable, which gives me complete peace of mind. Oscar absolutely loves spending time with her and is always happy to see her. She genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after and will always take Oscar on a good long walk when he needs it. It's clear she enjoys what she does, and I know Oscar is in safe and caring hands whenever he's with her. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I couldn’t recommend Renny more highly. She looked after Leela for the full day and was absolutely wonderful. She has such calm, positive energy, and Leela seemed to really like her, which means a lot, as she can sometimes be reluctant to walk with new people. She followed Leela’s schedule carefully, took her for a lovely long walk, and kept me updated throughout the day with excellent communication. She also left our home spotless. I hadn’t left Leela with a sitter in two years after a previous bad experience, but Renny’s calm manner and professionalism really helped put me at ease. I’m so grateful and would happily book her again.

I couldn't be happier with the care provided for my dog. Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog was treated like part of the family and received plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. He came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
