“Francesca was a delight to communicate with. She kept me up to date throughout the day and made sure every need was met. I was surprised by the professional photos which were beautiful (maybe because he is so beautiful) but I must admit I have some amazing new wallpaper for my phone! Thank you so much for everything and so easy to relax knowing my boy was in great hands!”

“Thank you so much for looking after Floki. It was my first time leaving him with a dog sitter and I can honestly say Erin and Andrew were both absolutely brilliant made me feel so at ease and kept me up-to-date the whole day with photos. Floki was so well looked after and was very happy. I honestly can’t thank you enough for taking such great care of my little boy.”

“Honey had a great time with Lesley and her family, lots of attention and love. She asked good questions to ensure she knew how to best care for Honey, and was very kind to send me photos and videos throughout the day. We'll definitely be calling on Lesley again! Thank you!”

About: Hi :) I’ve always loved dogs. I grew up with a mini poodle and now have a very sweet cockapoo named Cooper. I’ve also regularly looked after friends’ dogs, so I’m very used to caring for different breeds and personalities. Because I work from home, your dog will have company and attention throughout the day. I only take care of one dog at a time alongside my own, so they get plenty of focus and care. Alongside daily countryside walks, I make sure dogs are mentally stimulated with games, treat searches, and plenty of indoor play and affection. I know how hard it can be to leave your beloved pet, so I always send regular photo updates to help you feel relaxed and reassured while you’re away. I follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, and bedtime habits. I treat every dog as if they were my own and I genuinely love being around dogs more than I do people. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I work from home, so I’m present and available throughout the day. My own dog is already part of my daily life, so walks, feeding, play, and attention are naturally built into my schedule. Overall, pet care is a very natural part of my routine, and I make sure each dog feels calm, comfortable, and included in the day to day rhythm of the home. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and settled from the moment they arrive. I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, and any specific instructions from their owner. While they may be left alone briefly at times, it is never for long periods, and I always ensure they are comfortable and settled before leaving them.

About: I've lived with and cared for animals since childhood and have always had a deep love for animals. After recently losing a beloved pet, I'm keen to share my home and affection with furry companions again. Dog sitting allows me to provide a loving, safe, and caring environment while helping owners feel confident their pets are in good hands. Every animal is treated like part of the family, with plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime, and care tailored to their needs. I have lifelong experience of caring for pets including, small fur animals, tortoises and large breed dogs. You will experience a home: which is lively and fun. I will be the main caregiver of the pets but this is a family home. I love animals so you can be confident that there will be plenty of attention around the clock. I spend a lot of time outdoors in nature, enjoying long walks which could accommodate your dog. I also enjoy cosy nights in where cuddles on the sofa are prioritised for cats and dogs. I will be the main caregiver for the animals coming into our home, but they will be adored by us all. My garden is secure with fences. It is large with plenty of space to chill outdoors. I live close to a large park, a cemetery (our dog loved it here) and a cycle track for walks nearby.
“Ann and Brendan looked after our spaniel for a few hours last week. It was much too hot for a walk in the middle of the day, but the grassy garden was completely secure, and Clemmie could come and go as she pleased. She had never met Ann before but was relaxed and contented in her company from the moment we arrived. Ann was lovely and very professional and gave regular messages throughout the day. Brendan was brilliant with his communication prior to the stay and the whole booking was easy and very reassuring. They are both highly recommend.”

“Sarah’s boyfriend Alex had Herbie for the day and Herbie seemed to be a very happy chappy! Alex was lovely and kind, took Herbie for a few walks and a little swim in the nearby stream. Highly recommend and will be booking them again!”

“Lara and her family were brilliant with Cleo. Communication before and during the dog sitting was brilliant. Lara and her daughter made a big effort to get to know Cleo on our meet and greet, and Cleo was very happy to arrive on the day of her dog sitting. The pictures we were sent looked like Cleo had a brilliant time. She came home tired and content - all the signs of a lovely dog day. We’d love to use Lara and her family for dog sitting again!”

“Fantastic sitter! This was a last-minute booking, and she responded late in the evening, which was a huge help. She was warm, friendly, and communicative throughout, and was also very accommodating when I needed to change the drop-off time. Oscar was well looked after, and I'd highly recommend her.”

“Richanne is lovely and her flat is situated in heart of Stratford new-built residential area with private courtyard which is more than I expected. She's able to satisfy my long line of questions and go along with how to manage my puppy who has severe separation anxiety. Will be booking with her again.”

“An excellent experience from start to finish. They took the time to understand my dog's routine, personality, and needs, which made me feel confident leaving him in their care. The updates were thoughtful and reassuring, and it was obvious that my dog settled in quickly and enjoyed his stay. When I collected him, he was content, well exercised, and had clearly been given lots of attention. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and would happily recommend them to other dog owners looking for reliable and attentive care.”

“Brigitte took great care of Louis, our excitable puppy. He had such a lovely day with her and we loved receiving her updates and photos during the day. I can highly recommend Brigitte and will be using her again. Thank you!”

About: As a child and an adult, I have always had at least one dog in my life. As a pet owner for so many years, I have probably experienced most situations that pups to oldies can present with. I feel very well qualified to detect when a pet is happy or not, healthy or not. I have had a life-long love of all things animal. I particularly enjoy the company of dogs. I am fascinated by their individuality and I am constantly surprised by their intelligence. I have learned to never underestimate their abilities! We no longer own a dog of our own. We had to say goodbye to our darling King Charles Cavalier called Marvin in Nov. 2025. I am pleased to say that I am now retired so have plenty of time on my hands. Having lost our beloved dog towards the end of 2025, I now have some empty time which is filled nicely with so many gorgeous dogs. Our house is free for pets to use as their own. It is spacious, warm & comfortable. I have a purpose built ‘dog room’ for washing muddy paws off or a full shower if needed. We have underfloor heating which most of our ‘guests’ seem to enjoy very much. We have a fully enclosed large veranda at the back of the house. The garden is very large but although fenced I always supervise as there are little holes in the hedge.
“Renata home sat and walked our dog this week. She clearly loves dogs and they quickly made friends- they had a great time together. It’s great to have found someone so trustworthy. We highly recommend her.”

“Thanks Sarah for taking good care of Maple. We booked Sarah last minute when we were on our holiday in Bath. Sarah responded quickly and looked after Maple when we were out for dinner. Maple was content and sleepy after we picked her up. Maple was also happy with Sarah and Maple was lying on her belly which is a sign of a relaxed Maple - shows how at ease my pup was being with Sarah. When we’re next in Bath, we will seek out Sarah again - thank you!”

Both our dogs loved staying with Erin and Andrew today. We could tell when we collected them how great a time they’d had. We were kept up to date throughout the day with messages photos and videos which was really helpful and appreciated. Thank you for looking after our dogs so well. If we’re in the area again we will rebook.

Simply the best. She’s such a good communicator, sends periodic updates and photos. We felt at ease and reassured that our fur child was happy and well cared for. Thank you! Should we visit Bath again and Francesca is available, I would seek her services unreservedly.

Jessica was absolutely fantastic! This was my first time using both the app and a dog sitter for my puppy, Stella, and she made the whole experience completely stress-free. She sent regular updates and lovely photos throughout the day, so I always knew Stella was happy and well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Jessica again and will definitely be using her on a regular basis. Highly recommend!

Fantastic sitter! This was a last-minute booking, and she responded late in the evening, which was a huge help. She was warm, friendly, and communicative throughout, and was also very accommodating when I needed to change the drop-off time. Oscar was well looked after, and I'd highly recommend her.

We had a great experience with Manogya looking after Oscar. She was friendly, communicative, and very responsive from start to finish, which made everything so easy. Oscar took to her straight away, and it was clear she was confident and caring with him. I felt completely reassured knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy dog sitter. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've had Laura as a dog sitter several times now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She's always friendly, responsive, and reliable, which gives me complete peace of mind. Oscar absolutely loves spending time with her and is always happy to see her. She genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after and will always take Oscar on a good long walk when he needs it. It's clear she enjoys what she does, and I know Oscar is in safe and caring hands whenever he's with her. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I couldn’t recommend Renny more highly. She looked after Leela for the full day and was absolutely wonderful. She has such calm, positive energy, and Leela seemed to really like her, which means a lot, as she can sometimes be reluctant to walk with new people. She followed Leela’s schedule carefully, took her for a lovely long walk, and kept me updated throughout the day with excellent communication. She also left our home spotless. I hadn’t left Leela with a sitter in two years after a previous bad experience, but Renny’s calm manner and professionalism really helped put me at ease. I’m so grateful and would happily book her again.

I couldn't be happier with the care provided for my dog. Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog was treated like part of the family and received plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. He came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
