About: I’ve had 1 cat, 3 dogs and 1 horse in my life so it’s probably fair to say that I’m very fond of animals and have first hand experience of looking after them. I currently have an 18mth old Cavapoochon cross Mini Dachshund who is super friendly and loves to play. I’d ideally like to look after dogs of a similar size and nature so my dog and the dog I’m looking after get the most out of the experience. I have a beautiful large, well maintained, safe and secure garden, a dog flap so they can go in and out as they please, lots of dog toys, a crate (mine hasn’t ever used it but it’s here if yours does) and my home is as much my dogs home as it is mine which means I allow my furry friends on the sofa and bed. I see my dog as a family member and nothing less. :) I am available to dog sit at my home day or night Monday to Sunday, I have a part time job but work mostly from home and my partner is here 4/5 days a week so dog are never alone and have my own dog to keep them company :) I have a beautiful large, safe and secure garden, a large dog flap so they always have access to the outside, lots of toys and my very own furry companion who loves meeting new friends. For this reason, I always schedule a meet and greet for first time clients to make sure both my dog and your dog get on as it is paramount that both dogs enjoy each other’s company.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I volunteer at the city farm once a month. Friends, family, and neighbours trust me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I’m available for boarding and for walks or visits. I have a flexible schedule and will work around your requirements and with my workplace only 15 minutes from home. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. As a dog owner myself, I understand how precious they are. I have a secure home with everything necessary for them!

Marie did a great job in looking after little Mac. She took time and effort to visit beforehand to meet us. Everything went smoothly, logistically. I recommend Marie to look after your cat.

About: I have been a pet owner my whole life, since a small child, I have had 7 big dogs and 3 cats. I have worked in South Africa as an Elephant Behaviour Research Specialist, here my job was to observe wild African Elephants behaviours and document them, during my time here I lived alongside several dogs, cats and other animals and helped to look after them. I have a lot of experience of caring for animals as well as absolutely adoring them. I looked after & walked several dogs from rover in the past few years & then had a baby so had a break. I am available for dog walking, drop in visits for dogs/cats as well as house sitting in your home. I have availability Monday, Thursday, Friday & weekends. I will follow the pets usual routine as much as possible. Once you give me the info on how you’d like me to meet your pets needs I’ll follow it to keep it as smooth and comfortable for the dog/cat as possible. They’ll also get lots of love and cuddles.

About: Hiya! I’m Madi, a 21 year old second year university student studying Biology 🪴, with a hope to pursue veterinary medicine! I provide friendly and reliable dog walking, home visits, and house sitting. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, a quick pop-in for feeding and cuddles, or someone to stay overnight, I’ll make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. I have plenty of experience with pets of all ages and personalities, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to following your pets’ routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I offer tailored care for puppies, seniors, and pets with special needs, and I’m always happy to provide extra playtime, cuddles, or attention as needed. You can relax knowing your pets are getting the love and companionship they deserve. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life — I’ve grown up around animals and still spend time with pets every day. Caring for them fits easily into my weekly routine because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritise. I make time for regular walks, play, and companionship, and to fit in feeding schedules, toilet breaks, and special routines. Whether it’s a quick daily visit, a long walk, or overnight care, I will adjust my routine to make sure pets always get the attention and consistency they need. 🩷 In a pet owner’s home, I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible — from feeding times and walks to play, cuddles, and rest. I make sure their environment stays safe, clean, and comfortable, and I keep them company so they feel secure while their family is away. If I’m house sitting, I also take care of the home itself by keeping it tidy, watering plants, and ensuring everything is left just as you’d expect. My goal is always to provide loving, reliable care so pets stay happy in their familiar surroundings and owners have complete peace of mind.

About: Ever since I can remember I have been surrounded with cats and loved every minute with them. Family and friends always know that they can rely on my to take care of their pets. Although I have not professionally looked after animals, I have been surrounded by them my whole life and have always had a close bond with animals. Thank you for reading! I am currently a student at university so my time is quite flexible. I also look after a cat which has been coming to my home every day and giving them plenty of play time and comfort! When looking after someones pet I always make sure to check with the owner of common places that their pet likes to go to, if they are indoor or outdoor, and things which make the pet happy, such as certain foods or ways to be pet. I also am completely able to follow a heavy detailed schedule, but may ask a few questions about certain details!

About: - Experience with multiple dogs and cats (3 dogs + 1 cat in my family) - Familiar with daily routines: feeding, walking, basic grooming - Experienced with long-term care (my pets lived up to 18 years) - Comfortable handling both small and large dogs - Able to follow detailed care instructions from owners I take this job as a part-time job. After May, as a graduate student at the University of Bath, I no longer have classes. So I hope to find a part-time job to support my living expenses in the UK. I can be available at any time during the day when you need me. But sometimes I will travel outside and need to confirm the time with me three days in advance. But most of the time, I am in Bath, UK. In China, I have three dogs and one cat. Usually, I take my dogs for walks in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. This is because over the past few years, I have been reading a lot, so I have plenty of time to take them for walks. I also pay close attention to their diet and avoid giving them anything they can't eat. I spend one to two hours playing with the cats every day, and the rest of the time I can be by their side, which is the ideal situation.

About: I've had dogs as pets and taken care of other dogs since the age of 6, I don't want to get another full time pet but I miss the companionship terribly. I'm no Caeser Milan but I feel dogs respect my authority and temperment despite the fact Im such a softy! I am self employed and work from a home office. I am available 7 days a week and will try and accommodate anyone - even last minute! I'm fortunate that I can dictate my work hours so I can spend as little or as much time as your dog needs. We can energetically play in the garden and go for numerous walks or if they're older and just need a little company they can sit and be stroked all day. I have a large garden, grass and heavily shaded areas. The lawn is surrounded by hedges rather than fences though and deer do manage to find there way in during the night so your dog would never be in the garden unattended unless pre-determined they were the type with good recall. For those inquisitive dogs determined to escape I have a 10m lead! The house is warm and cosy with wood floors. Though strict on request I'm equally more than happy for a dog to sleep anywhere if it makes them happier.

About: I have 5 granddogs, 2 grandcats, 2 grandpigs, 2 goddogs and numerous canine and cat nephews and nieces (not blood of course, they are the furry kids of my friends). They’re family 😁 Usually only available between June and January as I live in Colombia January to May. However do feel free to ask, especially if the dates that you require are close to the limits. If I'm here I can adapt my schedule. I work remotely as a geeky historical writer, so can be pretty much anywhere and what can be better than doing that whilst making new furry friends. I treat them as family, except when the sharing of food is the question. I don’t share food, just like my English goddog, Percy, doesn’t share his bone. With regard to communication - the number listed is now obsolete - my new number is Colombian because I live in Colombia for six months each year - Unfortunately Rover does not have a Colombia option. So best to email me or communicate through Rover.

About: I have 2 years of professional dog walking and pet sitting experience meaning I am incredibly comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs they require. I work a hybrid role meaning I can be with your dog all day on my WFH days. I am in office Tuesdays and Fridays. I am available for drop ins on my hour lunch break and weekend boarding! I have had plenty of experience dog sitting in peoples homes. I believe allowing a dog to stay in the comfort of their own home whilst you are away is a comfort they deserve. I will always leave your home clean and tidy and ensure your dog experiences a similar routine to their normal day to day life.

About: I had a cat when I was little. I had a cockapoo 15 to 26 and miss him loads. Just resigned from my job so I’m free most of the time for same day bookings but better to have some notice in advance. Absolutely love pets and can help train if needed :) Love getting outside for walks but also a big fan of lounging on the sofa for a cuddle! Have Henrietta Park right by me and will go for adventures! Have super comfy sofas, not a super busy flat so it’s a nice calm environment. I love to get more than 15k steps in a day so it’s always best to have a companion! I miss having my dog around so it’s nice to have a 4 legged friend.

About: I love dogs and love spending time with them. I’ve spent many years looking after friends and families dogs while they are away - taking them for walks, feeding them, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. I’m used to dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I understand every dog is different. My main goal is to make the dog feel loved and safe. As a professional athlete, I am extremely reliable, trustworthy and always on time! I love the outdoors and it is always made better by sharing that space with a dog. I’m currently a professional athlete based in Bath. I am often training in the mornings but tend to have late afternoons and evenings free - although my schedule is flexible. I have experience walking dogs of all sizes, and as a strong young man I have no issue managing larger dogs. The safety and trust of the dog is my top priority

Absolute Star - Cat did a phenomenal job with Louis, responding with great care and efficiency when Louis became unwell with a tummy upset during his time with her. She looked after him as if he was her own beloved and I cannot recommend her highly enough. There aren’t enough stars available to capture the full extent of our gratitude and now, happily, Louis is fully recovered and I think he can’t wait to see Cat again so he can thank her

Courtney was great. Our Golden Retriever puppy of three months absolutely loved her and was very happy when we got back. Looked liked she played with him non stop! She sent a picture to let us know all was ok half way through the four hours which was a lovely touch. She dog sat at short notice, popped over even beforehand to meet the pup, and her communication was excellent. I highly recommend Courtney for any and all dog services she offers. Will be using regularly ✨

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
