“We just had Lulu stay with Jeremy and his partner for 10 days, and we couldn’t be more grateful! This was her longest time away from home, and they treated her like family. They were incredibly kind, patient and attentive, especially important since Lulu is a high-energy 2-year-old cocker spaniel.! We got regular updates and photos and it was clear she was happy, safe and having a blast! She came home relaxed and content, which says everything. Truly above and beyond, we feel so lucky to have found them!”

“Bert had a great time with Alison, Tom and Murphy. He has come home very happy and we had lovely updates for the entire stay. He had a fantastic time with Murphy and hopes to see him again soon. Thanks very much!”

“We had an incredibly positive experience with the dog boarding service provided by Shniele. The daily updates, including photos and videos, not only reassured us but was evident that our dog felt comfortable and happy in Shniele’s care. We greatly appreciate the excellent service and peace of mind Shniele offered during our time away. Highly recommended!”

“Frankie took a great care of Eddie. Our booking was quite last minute but Frankie responses to us within an hour. The communication was good as well, we had updates of Eddie throughout his entire stay. Eddie seems to enjoy the time spent with Frankie and her boyfriend Jimmy very much.”

“I cannot recommend Patrycja highly enough for her exceptional care of my furry baby, Ozzy! When my partner and I decided to get married, we were apprehensive about leaving Ozzy in anyone’s care apart from family. We were especially worried about finding a suitable place that would give him the attention and affection he is so used to. From our very first meeting, Patrycja exuded warmth and kindness. She welcomed us into her beautiful home, and it was immediately clear how much she, alongside her daughter, adored dogs. Their genuine love and passion for animals put my mind at ease, and I knew right away that Ozzy would be in caring hands. During our time away, I received plenty of pictures and videos that reassured me Ozzy was having a fantastic time. It was such a relief to see him happy, exploring her beautiful and safe garden, where he had plenty of space to run around and play. Patrycja’s home is a perfect environment for any dog, and I couldn't be more grateful for the love and attention she provided to Ozzy. I would absolutely not hesitate to leave Ozzy with Patrycja again in the future. Thank you, Patrycja, for taking such wonderful care of our beloved boy! xxx”

Anna was a perfect sitter for our French bulldog. She was extremely flexible with drop off & collection and nothing was too much trouble. Anna always responded quickly and kept us updated throughout his stay and communication was excellent. We would 100% recommend Anna and will hopefully be using her again very soon.

Brigitte has been an absolutely brilliant sitter for our slightly nervous dog. She took time to let him settle and get used to his new surroundings and took him on many wonderful walks. She kept us fully updated on how things were going and sent us lots of wonderful photos on a daily basis. Brigitte followed our directions regarding administering medication and cared for him in every way. I have no hesitation in recommending Brigitte as a truly 5* sitter. She could not have done more. We returned to find a happy and well cared for dog.

Cannot recommend Natalie enough. She is a lovely person, extremely reliable and I had no worries about leaving my dog with her for a long weekend. We extended by one day and this was handled smoothly by Natalie and Rovers. He was picked and dropped off at our house on time. Will definitely contact Natalie again if we need a sitter and will recommend her to our friends. Thanks Natalie

Mango and her flatmate were fabulous with Otto. They were very good at following the instructions for his food and medication and kept me informed regularly about how he was getting on. It looks like he had an amazing time, from all the photos Mango sent! Otto came home relaxed and happy. Thank you!

Annabel was so sweet to our dogs. When I picked them up I could tell they loved her. Also, when our flight was delayed and I was nervous I wouldn’t make it back in time to pick them up she had no problem taking care of them another day. Highly recommend! She took great care of our boys while we were gone.

Selin looked after our dog Luna for an extended stay and was caring, responsible and communicative throughout. We received regular updates, photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Selin handled the homesick issues with patience, kindness and genuine concern for Luna's wellbeing. She kept us informed, adjusted Luna's routine where appropriate, and clearly cared about making her feel comfortable and happy. It was obvious from the updates that Luna grew very fond of Selin and felt safe in her care. We really appreciated her dedication and would be happy to trust Luna with her again in the future. Thank you, Selin, for taking such good care of our little girl

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nadia did a fantastic job looking after Oliver. He seemed to really enjoy his stay and was very well cared for throughout. We really appreciated the regular updates and photographs, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Oliver was happy and comfortable in Nadia’s care, and we would definitely book Oliver with Nadia again in the future. Highly recommended.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
