“Ian did 2 drop-ins for Alfie over the weekend. As always I received notifications of when he started and finished and photos of Alfie having a good time. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.”

“I needed Juliette to drop in several times during the day for my teenager terrier. We met before to get aquatinted. Juliette did a great job and kept me up to date with each visit. My dog very happy when I returned.”

“Ayla was fab at cat sitting for Tigs. She was easy to communicate with and sent us lots of photos/videos. Tigs was sick while we were away and Ayla let us know about this, confirmed there was no need to worry and cleaned it up. Would be happy to recommend her and book again in the future. Thank you!”

“Kenna is fantastic. She makes me feel so at ease leaving our 6 month old puppy. She keeps his routine and implements current training! Her communication is second to none and the pup dates are always an added bonus!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have had my own since I was a young child, so caring for them comes very naturally to me. I absolutely love being outdoors, whether that’s long countryside walks, exploring new places, or going for runs. Since my own dogs can’t always join me on runs, I’d love to have a furry companion to bring along for exercise and adventure! I have a car, so I’m happy to travel to nearby parks, beaches, trails, and countryside spots to give dogs plenty of stimulation and fresh air. I’m also very sociable and love a good coffee date, so if your dog enjoys being out and about, they’ll get lots of attention, interaction, and fun with me. I’m active, reliable, caring, and will always make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while in my care. I have a zero hour contract job so I am very flexible. Additionally, I love to go on walks as part of my daily routine so I would love a furry friend to join me. I also am a regular runner so a nice walk post run would be perfect for a cool down. I’m a big morning person as I like to make the most of my day so I have lots of time free to care for your pet. I have two dogs at home so if your dog would like some company they would have the best time. I work with children so I am very on it with health and safety and everything so I can ensure your dog will be safe at all times.

“Marie did a great job in looking after little Mac. She took time and effort to visit beforehand to meet us. Everything went smoothly, logistically. I recommend Marie to look after your cat.”

About: I have 5 granddogs, 2 grandcats, 2 grandpigs, 2 goddogs and numerous canine and cat nephews and nieces (not blood of course, they are the furry kids of my friends). They’re family 😁 Usually only available between June and January as I live in Colombia January to May. However do feel free to ask, especially if the dates that you require are close to the limits. If I'm here I can adapt my schedule. I work remotely as a geeky historical writer, so can be pretty much anywhere and what can be better than doing that whilst making new furry friends. I treat them as family, except when the sharing of food is the question. I don’t share food, just like my English goddog, Percy, doesn’t share his bone. With regard to communication - the number listed is now obsolete - my new number is Colombian because I live in Colombia for six months each year - Unfortunately Rover does not have a Colombia option. So best to email me or communicate through Rover.
“Emily was just great and kept us up to date even though we were on an off grid holiday with very mobile poor service. I really appreciated her sanding us photos as we really miss our cats when we're away. Will definitely be rebooking. Thanks Emily :)”

About: I have always had a dog growing up and sadly recently had a GSP pass away. Still have two friendly dashunds in the house currently. I love walking, caring and playing with dogs of all sizes :) I am a full time midwife that does a mix of night and days with no set routine. I would love to do walks etc on my days off. I have an enclosed garden and have a very chilled out household. We don’t allow dogs upstairs so our dogs are closed in to the big kitchen that we have. This includes wooden flooring and a big dog bed
“Ashleigh was great looking after our Cat Cashew while we were away, kept me updated and even offered to go in an extra day to check on him when he was being fussy! Thanks Ashleigh!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life, I genuinely love dogs and prioritise their well-being. I care for their needs, ensuring they are happy and healthy. I have grown up with German Shepherds, I am used to walking, bathing and playing with them. My current dog is a beautiful miniature Australian Shepherd. I trained him with my father, he has a great temperament. Dogs are a gift, they spread joy and affection. I love interacting with my friends, families and strangers dogs. I hope to do it more through this app. I’m a teacher so during the holidays, I will have plenty of time to look after your furry friends! During school periods I will be able to look after your pups on weekends. I live in a pet friendly, brand-new apartment block. It has two-outdoor areas which are both grassy and secure for the dogs to enjoy. Less than a 10 minute walk away from Victoria Park and plenty of other green spaces just a short walk away. There are plenty of lovely walking spots to explore. The flat is spacious, filled with lots of natural light and plenty of areas for your dog to relax and play.
“I can’t reccomend Laura enough. She is wonderful with the animals, looks after the property perfectly and is kind and generous too. Complete peace of mind to book her whenever we’re away and to come home to happy, healthy cats. Thanks Laura!”

“Courtney was great. Our Golden Retriever puppy of three months absolutely loved her and was very happy when we got back. Looked liked she played with him non stop! She sent a picture to let us know all was ok half way through the four hours which was a lovely touch. She dog sat at short notice, popped over even beforehand to meet the pup, and her communication was excellent. I highly recommend Courtney for any and all dog services she offers. Will be using regularly ✨”

About: I’ve both potty trained and behaviour trained a springer spaniel puppy. I have also looked after and cared for elderly dogs and cats, both of which required medication in their food I am currently a student at bath spa university studying geography in the hopes of entering the conversation field post graduation. I have a deep care for animals and nature and have been raised on these values. Outside of term time I live in Switzerland where I look after my 3 year old springer spaniel and 15 year old maine coon cat who has recently been diagnosed with cancer and requires daily medication. Unfortunately i cannot offer pet sitting in my own home as it is a student property, however I am more than happy to pet sit in your home. I will make sure areas are secure, walks are a sufficient length for your pet and try to provide walk both on and off lead depending on location. Food will always be given at the time requested.

About: Hiya! I’m Madi, a 21 year old second year university student studying Biology 🪴, with a hope to pursue veterinary medicine! I provide friendly and reliable dog walking, home visits, and house sitting. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, a quick pop-in for feeding and cuddles, or someone to stay overnight, I’ll make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. I have plenty of experience with pets of all ages and personalities, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to following your pets’ routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I offer tailored care for puppies, seniors, and pets with special needs, and I’m always happy to provide extra playtime, cuddles, or attention as needed. You can relax knowing your pets are getting the love and companionship they deserve. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life — I’ve grown up around animals and still spend time with pets every day. Caring for them fits easily into my weekly routine because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritise. I make time for regular walks, play, and companionship, and to fit in feeding schedules, toilet breaks, and special routines. Whether it’s a quick daily visit, a long walk, or overnight care, I will adjust my routine to make sure pets always get the attention and consistency they need. 🩷 In a pet owner’s home, I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible — from feeding times and walks to play, cuddles, and rest. I make sure their environment stays safe, clean, and comfortable, and I keep them company so they feel secure while their family is away. If I’m house sitting, I also take care of the home itself by keeping it tidy, watering plants, and ensuring everything is left just as you’d expect. My goal is always to provide loving, reliable care so pets stay happy in their familiar surroundings and owners have complete peace of mind.
About: Growing up, I’ve had a multitude of dogs in my family, including my own dog Bella, who’s been part of our family since 2013. I recently moved away for university, and although I go home as often as I can to see her, it feels a bit empty without a furry friend nosing at me for treats. That’s why I thought pet sitting would be a great idea. I have previous experience, and my sister is also a sitter, so it runs in the family! I’m experienced with a wide range of animals, breeds, ages, and personalities. I also understand how stressful it can be to leave your best friend with someone new, so I always send updates and photos, especially during the first visit, to help you feel at ease. I’m currently studying at university, but since my course doesn’t require me to be in most days, I’m home the majority of the time. That means I can give your pets my full, undivided attention. I prefer to pet sit in the owner's home, as I understand that meeting a new person can be stressful for pets, and staying in a familiar environment helps ease that stress. I follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, and playtime, to keep things consistent and comfortable. I always treat your home with respect and make sure to clean up after myself, I’m even happy to vacuum and mop daily if requested. While you're away, my goal is to keep your pet happy, relaxed, and well cared for with plenty of love and attention.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Bath
Michelle was absolutely lovely and took great care of Luca, we felt very comfortable knowing she was there. We also appreciated how quickly she responded to us and adapted to our chaotic booking process - thank you Michelle! We will definitely book again when needed :)

We can’t thank you enough, Hayley! It was such a comfort knowing our boys were in your care while we were away. Your regular updates and the lovely photos meant so much to us and really put our minds at ease. It’s clear how much you genuinely care, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you did. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to ask you again, thank you so much!

Absolute Star - Cat did a phenomenal job with Louis, responding with great care and efficiency when Louis became unwell with a tummy upset during his time with her. She looked after him as if he was her own beloved and I cannot recommend her highly enough. There aren’t enough stars available to capture the full extent of our gratitude and now, happily, Louis is fully recovered and I think he can’t wait to see Cat again so he can thank her

Bryony took very good care of our three cats. She ensured that they were fed and watered and kept us updated on how they were. Bryony is a very friendly and pleasant person to deal with. We would thoroughly recommend her. (And as first time app users we found the system of notifications to be very good).

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Bath pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bath choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
