Even if it's repetitive, I like to know at each visit a bit about whether she's eating okay, using her litter box, had any fuss or played, etc. Especially when she hadn't pooped for 24 hours, I would've really appreciated being told that she finally had without having to ask, so that I didn't keep worrying. About: My family dog (Alfie) is a 15 y/o boarder terrier and I look after him for my parents on a regular basis when I go home to visit. I lived in the same home as Alfie in cornwall for the first 5 years and miss him everyday now that I live in Bristol. I love nothing more than dogs and I love going for walks, so it helps being around great places to walk / parks. Our first family dog was a Doberman, and I absolutely love all different breeds of dogs and often support with dog sitting my partners family dog who is an American Staffy. I live in a 2 bedroom maisonette with 2 large balcony’s, the previous owner of this apartment had 2 dogs so it’s definitely a dog friendly space (*** please note that these are a few flights of stairs to get to our apartment). My partner works from home Monday - Friday, and I work from home Thursdays and Fridays, so we can make it work in the week, as well as weekends. I work full time, in the office Mon - Wed 8:30am - 5:30pm then I work from home Thursdays 8:30am - 5:30am and from home Friday 8:30am - 3pm My partner works 9am - 5pm Mondays, then Wednesdays - Fridays, he usually works from home on Tuesdays but sometimes has to be on site. I don’t have any pets in the house, the balcony’s are spacious and we lots of gardens close by where we can take the dogs
About: From the age of 7, I’ve constantly been surrounded by dogs. From owning 2 of my own, to fostering many in between, I’ve developed a passion for looking after dog. I’ve also gained experience in walking them, playing with them, and overall caring for them. I’m currently studying art and design in college from Mondays - Wednesdays each week; leaving me plenty of free time for dog walking! Any time from Thursday - Sunday I’d be happy to walk, check up on, and take care of anyone’s dogs. My house is very spacious, allowing lots of room for any doggies to explore. My garden is also very large, safely fenced off, with lots of sniffs to be sniffed.

He seemed very happy and content while we were away, and was even really happy and comfortable with Bethany from the first meeting which is unlike him, so that was another real positive for us! We got home and although Pepper was happy to see us, you could tell he hadn’t really missed us too much which is a credit to how well Bethany looked after him. Cannot recommend her enough!”
About: I’ve grown up fully immersed in the presence of animals and I have always taken on roles in their care. I have a dog called Nala at home and I love nothing more than spending time with her whether that be playing with her toys, going out for walks or simply cuddling on the sofa. I also have cats at home who likewise enjoy their playtime but also fusses on my knee. I’ve had work experience placement at a veterinary clinic so I’m also aware of aspects of care such as senior care and proper handling techniques. Although I am a veterinary nursing student at university I have days where I don’t have in person classes therefore making me available throughout the day and some days I’m home by 12pm, as well as having my weekends spare. I am very vigilant when it comes to pet safety especially with having grown up in a home with indoor cats, therefore I will take any safety measures you have in place very seriously. Due to my vet nursing course I have done placement at veterinary clinics therefore I’m aware of safe and proper handling techniques as well as signs to be aware of in other dogs when out on walks.

About: Growing up I was surrounded by both my own family's pets, but also those of friends and relatives. Sophie really went above and beyond to take care of my rather grumpy cat! She tried many techniques to get Stella to successfully take her pills, and very nicely cleaned up various messes. She was so sensitive to Stella’s needs, and it was a great comfort to me to feel that she was so empathetic to my difficult cat. I would highly recommend Sophie, especially if you have a cat who needs any medication.
This was the first time I had used this service so I was a bit nervous but I didn't need to be Carys was lovely and the daily pictures were lovely to receive. Missy can get stressed with new people but Carys was great with her. I will definitely be booking her again. I highly recommend Carys.
I couldn’t recommend Naomi highly enough! She took such great care of my cat Charlie while I was away for two weeks and was so reliable, caring and communicative throughout. She sent regular updates and photos, and it was clear she really took the time to get to know Charlie and his little quirks. We unfortunately had some unexpected issues with the locks/access to my building while I was away, and she was incredibly understanding and went above and beyond to make sure Charlie was still looked after. Charlie was happy and settled when I got home, and I would absolutely have her look after him again. I’m so grateful for how well she cared for him and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone!
Marie was amazing with Mabel (our cat). She sent lots of updates and lovely photos and videos – and made sure Mabel had lots of play time. We came home to a very happy and content little cat! Eloise did a fantastic job of looking after our cat Udon. Udon is usually very grumpy when we come home from a holiday but she seemed very happy and relaxed when we returned. All visits were complete, an initial visit was held prior to making the booking and the key was returned quickly.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
