“I can 100% recommend Hazel to look after anyone's cat. Buffy was well looked after and I came home to a happy cat. Hazel kept me updated and was very flexible. I was away at a family wedding and knowing Buffy was in safe hands made my weekend so much better. Thank you! ”

“Nicole was amazing! She came round before the booking to meet out cats and they immediately warmed to her. Nicole, sent lots of pictures of our cats getting all the cuddles and affection they could ever want and they were super happy to have her looking after them! Nicole was also very informative and had great communication letting us know our cats were safe and well looked after. We would definitely book with Nicole again!”

“Rafa has been an excellent cat sitter. She sent us daily updates throughout the hot weather, she is very approachable, friendly and caring of Wes. Rafa was also willing to look out for our plants and make sure they were watered. I hope Rafa will be around for more cat sitting this summer!”

“Elizabeth went above and beyond to check up on Slađa during the crazy heatwave in our hot apartment. Slađa got all the love and care during the check-ups while I was at work. Elizabeth was always super quick to reply and communicate, truly accomodating to our needs and we’d certainly book again! Thank you ♥️”

“Incredibly professional and communicative. Charlotte was prompt and showed care. There was a misunderstanding but she was was quick to respond and correct it. Highly recommended.”

About: I currently work at a dog day care where we house over 30 dogs per day in an outside/inside environment where the dogs play and interacted with each other. From this i’ve learnt how to monitor dogs behaviour and reactions to certain situations or environments. I’ve had animals my whole life, Dogs, Cats, Horses, Sheep etc and i have experience with multiple breeds of dogs from Chihuahuas to Bernese mountain dogs! I’ve learnt how to train dogs from puppy’s to an elderly aged dog who just needs some help with their age. I’ve had cats throughout my life and love their quirky personality’s, I understand how some cats want their own space and how some want some gentle company! Ultimately I love dogs and cats so much and do anything I can to help them out and treat them like they deserve, I treat all animals as if they are my own! I’m Fully available on Tuesdays to care for your pet, but on the other week days I finish my main job at 5pm so I would only be free in the evenings 5:30-10pm. I’m also free on Saturdays and Sundays to help where ever I can! I am able to safely keep your dog or cat in a safe environment at your home, Constantly keeping an eye where they are at your home and making sure there’s no way for them to hurt themselves whilst you’re not there or any areas that they have the chance to get out of, I promise to leave your home with a happy pet that has been treated how they deserve. If you would like me to take your dog to a certain area to walk i own a car harness!

“Sarah a brilliant sitter for us - her communication was great and she sent photos and updates everyday. She was also very flexible with us especially in accepting the booking fairly last minute. Would definitely book again!”

About: I have always been a huge animal lover and I adore looking after furry friends. I have recently moved to Bristol after living most of my life in Edinburgh. I fully work from home so I will always be around to look after your pet and keep them company. I have had experience looking after different types of dogs which range in sizes and activity level. This includes a borador and ex-racing greyhound. I also have experience looking after cats for my extended family and have a huge soft spot for them. I am happy to look after your pet at your own home and I am planning to open boarding at my own home later down the line. I can follow any routine you may have with your pet and accommodate any special needs they may require. I am also very happy to send regular updates with what they have been up to and include photos to lessen any worry you may have. I currently work from home so will always be available to look after, keep company and play with your pet. I am also able to go on longer adventures on Friday, Saturday and Sundays as I do not work on these days. I typically take dogs for a minimum of 3 walks a day (however I will be happy to adjust this either way to suit your pet). I will stick to your pets usual routine to help them feel as comfortable and normal as possible while their favorite human(s) are away.
“Catherine was amazing with my 8 month old puppy! She’s a bit of a nervous puppy but I can see from the photos sent that my dog Tina relaxed and looked like she was having a great time which completely put me at ease. I’d highly recommend Catherine’s services!”

About: My names is Will and I've taken care of dogs in some capacity since I was 9. I grew up with spaniels in Somerset. One of these Spaniels was deaf so I gained a lot of experience in non-verbal signalling and care for deaf pups. Aside of my own animals, I have plenty of experience, in a both voluntary and paid capacity of caring for dogs. Walking is a big part of my daily routine and would love to be able to have your dog along for the walk also. I'm flexible with times of day and evenings/nights. I currently have my own pup named Rosie (spaniel cross) but she only lives with me part time. She would not be present on house sitting but she loves all dogs. TRAINING - I have experience training in a non-professional capacity so more than happy to adopt your training practices and maintain those in your absence. I can do stay in day and or overnight visits throughout the week. Monday - Sunday Additionally, I can do drop in visits. Throughout the day/evening. At the weekend, I am generally flexible outside of pre-planned holidays with friends or family. In the owners home, I will follow the instruction of the owner in regard to access to the garden and parts of the house. Eg, The dog is/isn't allowed upstairs. The same approach is taken to walking and on and off of the lead. TRAINING -I'm very happy to assist with any training you may have on the go and maintain any technique you may be working on. I love a challenge!
About: Hello! I've had 5 years of experience with dogs' aftercare, and around 13 years with cats. Since childhood I always fed and looked after street animals in my hometown. And my friends could rely on me to check in with their pets, feed, clean and look after them. Additionally, I shortly had an experience of looking after a senior dog. I am currently working full-time, I am available for boarding and house sitting or animal care/ dog walks on the weekends, evenings, and Mondays. I can offer pets lots of attention, companionship, and dedicated care. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, keep pets safe and comfortable, and make sure they feel relaxed and loved while in my care.
“Mariana was amazing with our 9month old pup who took to her straight away!! Mariana is now going to v regularly visiting our pup and we're delighted to have found her. Highly recommend”

“Erin has been a great help keeping Deefa company while we’ve both been away from home. She’s kept us up to date with her schedule, sent us gorgeous pics on their walks, and Deefa looks very happy to be out and about with her new pal! Wouldn’t hesitate to ask for Erin’s help again.”

“Becky was incredible. She is friendly, sends frequent updates, super communicative, and I could not have asked for better. Absolutely would recommend Becky for your needs and will be using her the next time I need care for my little pooch. Thank you Becky <3”

“Pamela took care of my two cats while I was away. She was super quick to respond throughout and sent reassuring updates and photos. They were very happy and well cared for when I got home. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m an experienced and caring dog lover with over six years of hands-on experience looking after pups of all ages—from playful two-month-old puppies to sweet senior dogs over ten. I’ve cared for many breeds, both big and small, including Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Westies, Bichons, Fox Terriers, and Shibas. Each dog has their own personality, and I always take time to understand their needs, routines, and quirks. I believe walks should be fun and engaging, not just the same old route every day. That’s why, whenever I have time, I love taking dogs on mini adventures—hiking in Red Deer Park, exploring Snuff Mills, playing in the river, or spotting deer and flowers in Clifton. Their happiness is my biggest reward, and I love seeing them explore the world with joy and curiosity. I’m incredibly patient, calm, and gentle, and I treat every dog like my own. I currently live in a spacious, pet-friendly 1b1b apartment with plenty of room for dogs to relax, even larger breeds. Whether your pup loves cuddles, quiet time, or outdoor fun, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. I'm currently a PhD student, but I work from home most of the time, so my schedule is quite flexible. That means I can spend plenty of time with your pets throughout the day I live in a pet-friendly 1b1b apartment that’s clean, spacious, and comfortable—even for large dogs. It’s a quiet environment, which is great for pets who are sensitive or prefer calm spaces. I keep the floors clean and disinfect regularly. If I’m hosting a cat, there’s a 2.2-meter-tall cat tree at home that’s always a favorite. I follow each pet’s usual feeding habits and routines carefully, so they can feel safe, relaxed, and loved during their stay.

About: Hi! We are Tom and Holly a reliable and easygoing dog lover couple based in Bristol. We have both grown up around dogs and have experience looking after a range of breeds, from energetic working dogs to more relaxed companions. We understand that every dog has their own routine and personality, so we will always take the time to get to know them properly—whether that’s long walks, playtime, or just keeping them company at home. We treat every dog like they’re one of our own, and making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for is our top priority. Holly has got past experience with reactive dogs and having to use support aids such as prong collars. Dog breed experiences: Tom - Labradors, Cocker and Springer Spaniels. Holly - German shepherd, Labrador, Rottweilers, Akita, Collies, British and American Bull dogs. We are also both very active going on long walks and runs, and we are more than happy to take a high energy four legged friend with us. Since moving cities this is our first time on rover but we are looking forward to meeting your dogs and loving them just as much as you do! We both work flexible jobs, whereby we can work from home up to 3 times a week finishing at lunch time on a Friday. Allowing us to have full flexibility when it comes to looking after your dog. This means we can dog sit Thursday - Monday. With a day either side if required Your dog’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We take time to understand your dog’s routine, behaviour, and any specific needs before we start. In your home, we stick closely to their normal schedule to keep things familiar and stress-free. We’re confident with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including those that may be reactive or need extra care on walks. We always handle dogs safely, avoid risky situations, and keep a close eye on their behaviour. You’ll get regular updates with messages and photos, so you always know how your dog is doing. Our aim is simple: a calm, safe, and caring environment where your dog feels comfortable and well looked after.

About: Growing up on a farm, I was surrounded by animals from an early age. Two of the dogs I grew up with were sisters, one of whom was deaf, which taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and adapting to each dog’s individual needs. In 2026, I spent a month volunteering at a dog shelter in rural Croatia, caring for over 100 rescue dogs alongside a fantastic team. My responsibilities included walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, administering medication, preparing and serving meals, and ensuring their kennels were clean, warm, safe, and comfortable. It was an incredibly rewarding experience that strengthened my confidence in caring for dogs with different personalities, backgrounds, and care requirements. Alongside this, I’ve spent years looking after the pets of family and friends. Whether they’ve been away on holiday, working late, or travelling for business, I’ve been someone they trust to care for their dogs and cats. From walks and feeding to bathing, playtime, and plenty of affection, I always make it my priority to ensure every pet feels happy, relaxed, loved, and safe while their owners are away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to get to know their routines, personalities, and individual needs. My goal is always to provide the same level of care, attention, and reassurance that I’d want for my own animals. I’m currently working in the TV industry as a freelancer, which is famous for having gaps where I am completely free in between jobs. Inbetween these jobs, and on the weekends I’d be available! I am very patient and an active woman who plays lots of sports (e.g Rugby and Football) and goes to the gym regularly so long walks are my favourite!
About: I’ve grown up fully immersed in the presence of animals and I have always taken on roles in their care. I have a dog called Nala at home and I love nothing more than spending time with her whether that be playing with her toys, going out for walks or simply cuddling on the sofa. I also have cats at home who likewise enjoy their playtime but also fusses on my knee. I’ve had work experience placement at a veterinary clinic so I’m also aware of aspects of care such as senior care and proper handling techniques. Although I am a veterinary nursing student at university I have days where I don’t have in person classes therefore making me available throughout the day and some days I’m home by 12pm, as well as having my weekends spare. I am very vigilant when it comes to pet safety especially with having grown up in a home with indoor cats, therefore I will take any safety measures you have in place very seriously. Due to my vet nursing course I have done placement at veterinary clinics therefore I’m aware of safe and proper handling techniques as well as signs to be aware of in other dogs when out on walks.

Yuting was very friendly and took great care or Gucci when we were away, he can be a bit anxious at first and she took her time and gave him space to get to know him- she was very punctual, communicative and reliable, and we came back to a very relaxed kitty. would definitely reccomend and book her again :)

Excellent communication throughout. Our cat was initially unsure (even though she was absolutely fine during our meet and greet), but Sarah approached her calmly and thoughtfully, and went out of her way to ensure she was comfortable for the next visit. It was reassuring to hear that our cat was settled by the next visit. Flexible when our plans changed and very grateful that Sarah watered our hanging baskets during hot weather. Thanks again!

Molly was absolutely amazing! I had to get someone to drop in on Spud with very short notice, and thankfully Molly came to save the day so I could still go to my plans. The communication was great and I got lots of pictures of Spud having a lovely time while she was there. I can tell that Spud had a great time while she was with him. Would definitely recommend!

Barbara is a top cat sitter and would definitely recommend her! She was recommended to me by another cat sitter and was able to help with our Giorgia Fluff despite our last minute request. She was punctual, came to meet Giorgia a few days before, came to visit her twice as expected and sent lots of videos. Everything went well and we saw Giorgia being happy and relaxed with her 😊 thank you, Barbara!!

Nicole and Will are fab! Lovely people who took very good care of Harrison while we were away recently. Came home to a super content and happy cat, an adorable handpainted card and even a watercolour portrait of Harrison! They also took and sent so many lush photos.

Amy did a fantastic job looking after my cats over the weekend. They have unique requirements due to medical conditions, however Amy was able to administer the appropriate medication and keep me informed with details and photos while I was away, providing me with reassurance and peace of mind. I will definitely be booking her again the next time I am out of town.

Annie did a fantastic job of looking after our cat Rupert. We got regular photos and videos, she played lovely games with him, hoovered up his excess fur and even watered our garden during the heatwave. We’re really grateful for the care and attention she gave to Rupert and our home. Thanks so much Annie 😊

Mary took wonderful care of my two young, energetic cats while I was away. She sent regular, detailed updates along with plenty of photos, which gave me complete peace of mind. It was clear from the start that she has a natural way with cats, and they were happy and well looked after. I felt completely comfortable leaving them in her care and will definitely be booking with Mary again. Highly recommended!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bristol choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
