Pet sitting is the perfect combination of working with animals along side my studies. My availability varies however with my studies, which take priority. But when I'm not away on placements, I am usually flexible, so best to pop me a message and I'll see what I can do.

A typical day
I can create scent games and enrichment activities, such a filling a Kong with peanut butter and freezing, to create a long lasting, rewarding, enriching treat. I love a good scent walk and allow them as much time as they need to really explore smells on walks. If they are more of a high energy dog, I love the outdoors, so long walks and exploring nature is something I like to do. I can also go for runs with dogs if that's more their style.

Hi I'm George, a final year Vet student. I have been pet sitting on various platforms for over a year now and cared for a variety of pets including birds and a tortoise. I have previous experience of owning a cat and pet chickens (not at the same time) and looked after friends dogs. As part of my university studies I have spent over 16 weeks in a variety of animals husbandry roles from farm animals to horses to zoos. I have also worked as an animal care assistant and receptionist at a small animal veterinary clinic. This job involved admitting and handling of patients into the practice, cleaning and setting up cat, dog and exotic kennels, regular checking, entertaining/playing, feeding and walking of in patients. This along with the teachings from vet school has given me a firm understanding of animal care and husbandry. Overall I hope my passion and previous experiences caring for animals will make all owners feel comfortable they can rely on me to look after their beloved pets. When our diva of a Dog, Bruno decided a week before a planned road trip on an Easter Bank Holiday Weekend that he'd throw a spanner in the works by developing a severe car phobia, we were potentially left with a late cancellation. Our usual boarding options were unavailable, or unsuitable due to distance, we were directed online by a friend to Rover, and found George. An initial chat to make sure things were going to be compatible, followed up by a couple of visits to meet Bruno in person. George's calm demeanour and attention to detail assured us that he knew what he was doing, but diligent in making sure he had everything covered. A second meeting was arranged to ensure things were smooth and make sure both parties were at ease. Updates were sent with the frequency we requested, and several of our neighbours had commented how nice George was, and that him and Bruno seemed to be getting on very well. House was left clean and tidy, and plants were all kept well watered. Really happy with the service provided, thank you.
George is amazing with my dog Eddie. He is very kind and attentive to him and his needs. There’s no one else I would trust!
